Went in around 12:20am and were greeted and she was very polite and patient with us! As we had a decent size order and food came out reasonably!! Unfortunately, I do not know her name and failed to get it, I hope she gets recognized! There was a hilarious incident where a guy miss pronounced Fat doobie and said fat booty and he thought that was hilarious too!! Overall great experience!

Just feel like this place is going down hill. We come almost every week.The last few times weve come there has been only one employee working in the whole place. Kitchen and front desk. Youre expected to put in your own order at the little computer up front. Half the time the drink station is not stocked....floor is sticky. Tonight we went in for half price wings and there was about 8 people in line waiting to place orders while one guy was trying to cook and do everything. He did take the time to come let us know if we were going to order we would have to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour because hes alone. Its ridiculous to offer half price promotion nights and only have one employee working. Its not fair to the person working by themselves nor is it fair to the customer. Its no wonder business is not booming. Just thought it was maybe a temporary thing that only one person was always working alone. I thought maybe they are trying to hire some more staff ...but no. Its been a while now and its always just one employee. Bad look. Its also pretty dang hot in there most of the time. Congratulations to yall, you lost some regular customers!

Ok so theres a lot going on at the College Station FS. Went in around 5-5:30 with my wife to get our family dinner. The entire restaurant was disgusting. Greasey floors, counters, walls and doors. Sauce smears on the tables, dirty stools/ chairs trash and napkins lying on floors and tables. The older woman at the counter couldnt ring our order in for some reason and had to do it 5 times, still not getting the order right. She kept going into the kitchen and asking the guy there, assuming he was the mgr, how to ring it up. It took almost 20 minutes to order, luckily there was nobody else in the place. Finally I just gave up because we wanted to get the food home and eat. Then it took almost 30 minutes for the food to be made. Im guessing the bulk of the food sales are online, because people kept coming in and picking up food but ours never seemed to get done. Finally the woman said it was ready and apologized for the hour it took, offering us free fried oreos for the inconvenience. We declined and just bolted to get home to our kids we the $80+ meal of sandwiches and fries no drinks. Only to find that my double bacon cheese burger was no where to be found. I called and spoke to a man who said, he remembered, and apologized, hed write it down and put it in a folder, so I could come back later and get it. Because after waiting for an hour, I had no desire to go back and wait another. I went back to get it and the only person working couldnt find anything. The restaurant lobby, kitchen and seating areas are still filthy and disgusting so it is the norm and not a one time thing. The girl working called the guy, who is the mgr and he couldnt help her. So I left because my family had said the food was just OK, and if I have to go through all this its not worth it. I did want to leave a review for people to know what its like...

Food was aiight. I got a burger. Wife got the maverick and she enjoyed it. Cheese fries were ok. The only seasoning was salt everything was salty and greasy. We got the munchie platter for the table. Some over cooked some undercooked. Would give it another go but the price was outrageous adding my buddy s meal it totaled $82.

We love fat shack but 6 mozzarella sticks for $8? That s awful. They used to be 8 for $6.5 and we can get better moz sticks for cheaper and similar flavor at HEB. The amount of food for the price is not worth it. It s bad. Taste is good but quantity is awful

Gave the fat bronco a second chance. While it was actually crispy where it should be this time, it was alright and not much more. The flavor is very much on the bland side and I could not taste any seasonings. Just regular white sub style bread, plain breading on the fried chicken and mozzarella sticks. The sauce was there but not particularly flavorful. Food took about 15-20 mins to be ready indicating to me it was made fresh for the order as there was no line before or after I arrived. The floors were sticky in most of the dine in area. Made poping sounds with every step i took. TLDR: nothing bad, nothing amazing

Great late night spot! The mac and cheese bites are sinful. The staff is always polite and welcoming. Parking: The Eleven Bar starts to fill up the parking lot after 9pm. They even park right in front of fat shack. FS needs parking for their location only. This is a gem and would do better at a different location.

Such a different spin on a burger menu and atmosphere. Great people working...tip from me? Ask for Kenneth or Adrian to make your order. Parking: Its a busy street but youll find a spot in the parking lot where Fat Shack is located. Kid-friendliness: They love people especially kids. The food was ok. I ordered a philly cheese steak and a deep fried twinkie. The sandwich was ok tasting but the Twinkie batter was still raw dough. They only had 1 person working there, so this poor girl was taking, making and delivering orders by herself. So, I m a local here and remember when I was so excited at hearing what fat shack was all about and having one in town. Honestly though, I can tell you that after having tried them over the years of them being here I just get more and more disappointed. My most recent order, however, takes the cake. It s simple. An app, two entrees and a dessert. No drinks or fríes/onion rings, just a sandwich and tenders. Fried pickles, and cheesecake bites. I will say the fried pickles came out perfect, and the tenders were okay but the other half of my meal.. let s just say could have been a lot better. I will also mention that I used the delivery option on fatshacks website, thinking like pizza chains and local Chinese restaurants it was through the store. To my dismay, it was a storefront delivery with doordash. I, personally, have never had a good experience with doordash so I was worried that I would either A: Not receive my food (as happened before) B: My food would be tampered with (not necessarily fatshacks fault) Or C: I would have longer wait times and receive cold food. As you could have possibly guessed it, I did have double the wait time as originally quoted but I don t immediately blame the restaurant itself. It is in fact a Friday night between 10-11 so I do expect a bit of a wait. I will say though with it being delivered I live 2.0 miles from the store. Anyway, back to the food. I ordered a 9 cheesesteak and added Mayo, lettuce, and tomato to it. I received and regular cheesesteak with none of my additives and lukewarm. Which, the cheesesteak was for myself personally and not of my party so I will admit that I am particularly sad that my food was not to order. Cheesesteak bites, a larger order comes 5 to a back. These were to share, and who doesn t like cheesecake? 3 of the 5 were good, one was busted open and everywhere, basically only have a cheesecake bite, and the 5 one was literally just empty fried dough. Paying 8$ for that before taxes, tip, delivery and surcharge fee - that they don t mention until the final page when you process your order - I would love to at least have those right. Fried pickles were on point and delicious, no problems there. The tenders were okay, smothered great but I got two decent sized ones and the rest were about the size of toddlers foot, a total of 6 in the box. As I mentioned before, I did not expect the delivery to be through doordash, and my delivery time went from 20-30 minutes to over an hour. Partially the restaurants fault, according to the tracker and the other the driver but ultimately I try to avoid any doordash/ubereats when I can due to the reasons above. If you are going to give fatshacks a shot, I recommend doing a phone order, online pick up or just go in. I ve had better luck with that as far as quality and timeframe but even then try to avoid peak times. Also just do yourself a favor and avoid the delivery. Do NOT recommend. All in all, the food could use a little more love and attention in the prep and cooking department. Seasoning too, for sure, but they didn t completely flop. It s just every time I ve gone it s always been something or another so I believe this will be my last time. If you want to risk it, they do offer good options but at the chance of it being prepared right or you using your entire lunch break waiting for the food. Take that gamble, that s on you.

I live in the area and visit the barbershop next door. There was a little wait for the barber and since it was lunch time, I was hungry, and I had time to kill - why not try a place new? To start Im a little of a foodie who worked in the restaurant and bar scene for over 7 years, and the name of the place had me intrigued for some gluttonous indulgence. Upon walking in the staff were very responsive and warmly welcomed me to the restaurant and greeted me. I told them it was my first time here, so I spent a minute looking over the menu and chose the regular size philly cheese steak. I asked if it comes with fries and a drink no its an upcharge for a meal, so I decided to do the onion rings and soft drink combo. The meal came out to be a little over $20. I was pretty shocked by this, but thought maybe it s really large portions or maybe this is the best damn food I ll try all year. I go ahead and swipe. 5-10 minutes later I was greeted when an even friendlier member of the staff delivered my steaming hot food. She brought me ketchup and asked if I needed anything else I declined and thanked her. The Cheese Steak: It came out rolled in a hoagie style bun, wrapped tightly in paper, and cut into two pieces. Each piece was a little longer than I had imagined, but was rolled pretty thinly and I thought deserved a little more filling or even a wider piece of bread. The bread was truly unique. It was thin, very soft and subtle, and somewhat creamy at the same time. There was baker s yeast on the bread adding a little extra flavor, but it seemed like it was missing something.. perhaps a little toasting or flaky edge. The filling had a decent flavor with plenty of peppers and onions and a yellow cheddar blend was mixed well throughout. However, the meat seemed to be lacking in quantity and flavor. A little more seasoning would have been great, and the sandwich itself was only slightly thicker than a hotdog. Overall, the sandwich was very average. The Onion Rings: I saw a photo of the onion rings on the website and knew that I had to try them. Unfortunately, this is where the ball was dropped the most. To start there were only about 6 medium sized onion rings with about 4 tiny end piece type rings I was certainly shocked by considering the price. The breading on the outside was cooked to perfection with a nice crunchy shell, but the inside was overly soggy and soft. There was no added salt making it very bland, but the worst part is they seemed to be cooked in old and burnt grease. It left a terrible after taste which I could not continue eating. Overall: The staff were the best part being friendly and welcoming. Regrettably the cheese steak was average at best and onion rings needed a lot of work. For over $20 for a single meal next to a college campus, I expected much more.

Do you enjoy burnt food? Then you have the best place in town! My roommates and I have enjoyed fat shack many times but after our experience tonight we will never be back. After $70 spent you would think they would have some respect but no. We waited 30 minutes after are food was said to be ready just for the food to be burnt and bland. Staff was ridiculously rude and no help, our order we could see was ready but no one would simply hand it to us. Don t waste your time, go somewhere else!!

This is a subjective record of a point in time. Tomorrow may be different, yesterday surely was. This is our third visit, typically late night. The food has always been excellent for what it is. (My wife doesnt care for their fries, I think theyre great. ¯\_( )_/¯ ) This is a student-focused establishment, and the fare reflects that, but the sandwiches area imaginative and well prepared, the desserts are crazy good, and the staff are always nice and helpful. You read the menu and think, OMG fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, chicken tenders on a Philly cheese steak, this is going to be awesome. Then you open wide and take a huge bite, and everything is bland. No season or salt to the fries, the tenders are basic with no flavor, the onion rings are limp, and the cheese steak the cheese isnt noticed. This is a great concept, but the flavors are not there. The price they charge is not worth it. Use a little salt, use some cheese on the cheese steak, give some seasoning to the fries. Not a place Id recommend, but would say its OK if you want to go home and add seasonings yourself. In regards to the reply from Im guessing the manager saying this isnt the experience that should be expected. This is the same experience I have experienced for the last 3 years Ive been back living in this area, and multiple times of giving it another chance. This review comes after no less than 10 times in 3 years trying them and getting the exact same lack of flavor.

I order a Philly cheese steak sandwich, it looked and tasted like chill, The Sandwiches were cut in odd portions so one half was so small and had hardly anything on it and the other half was huge and over flowing, why cut it if your not cutting it correctly. I order funnel cake bites, when I hear bites I think small bits, these were massive balls of bread that were drowned in powdered sugar. The cheesecake bites , again massive , tons of powdered sugar, so much sugar it hurt to eat, and very little cheesecake in two of the three bites... I was very disappointed and will not be going back. Oh and it was well over 40.00 to feed two ppl so NOT worth the price. And they were out of so much stuff.

The Sunday 1/2 price bone in chicken wings are my go-to. 4 ranch or Bleu cheese, no extra cost is rather amazing. Ive tried a few of their sandwiches. Definite heart attacks waiting to happen with the calorie and fat content, but dang theyre amazingly good. The fried desserts, same, D-Lish, yet so much exercise needed during the following week In all my online orders past 2 years, this order they actually did as i requested when asked to cook the desserts longer (too many times the fried part is too doughy for my tastes)

DELICIOUS! I had the single burger, my bf had the classic burger with Mac and cheese. Bother were cooked to perfection! We shared the appetizer sampler and fought over Mac and cheese bites. Weve left the restaurant about 20 minutes ago and have still been talking about the food and how we cant wait to go again. The only negative thing we have to say, is that the chicken was freshly cooked and hot so we had to wait to eat it, but by the time we let it cool we had already stuff our faces with everything else... So not really negative... But we got snacks for later! 10/5 stars

Decent drunk food but I wouldn t order a milkshake again- tasted like ice milk was used rather than ice cream: not rich & creamy, also not competitively priced considering what appeared to be inexpensive ingredients (4 dollars for a small)! Also, the last time I was in for takeout they did not even put what was supposed to be on my burger tomato was supposed to come on the sandwich but there was none.

This place is only getting a two because the service was friendly and courteous. The food was not good. I got an appetizer plate with several different items so we could try them all. My husband got one of the sandwiches. Everything was bland. There were several kinds of sauces and still the food was not good. It reminded me of TV dinner food.

Me and my girlfriend came here on a late Saturday night because it was the only thing open other than a over capacity IHop. We wernt hungry enough for burgers so we got fries and they had the best monzerella sticks We ve ever had. Also grabbed a couple vanilla shakes so perfect for a late night snack or a spontaneous midnight trip

I cant imagine why people talk so highly of this place. Sure the people seemed nice enough but you go to a restaurant for the food and I wasnt impressed. Way way too many fries on my fat stimpy and hardly any meat, had one popper per half of sandwich and it was grossly over sauced with honey mustard. Wont be heading back anytime soon .

The burgers and desserts are absolutely delicious!! The burgers are fresh and taste great for the price. My favorite thing are the fried oreos and funnel cake, they taste absolutely amazing. The jalapeño poppers are also good, nothing too special. The cheese fries are a little soggy and they definitely use some sort of artificial cheese sauce, but still ok. The philly cheesesteak was definitely a huge let down. It tastes just like ground beef with taco seasoning. The sandwich was HUGE though, definitely a lot of food. I recommend sticking to the burgers and desserts.
