This is one of the greatest treasures we have here in town. Every single time I come I m treated as family and greeted with a smile. It s so refreshing to have people genuinely enjoy what they are doing. But the amazing service is only half of it. The platter is honestly heaven sent. Amazing fish with some nice seasoned wings. And the red beans and rice had the perfect ratio of beans and rice along with sausage. The real star was the gumbo. I got the chicken and sausage one and it was absolutely amazing. I m so grateful to be able to experience this place and I truly thank you guys for the amazing service and food.

If you want great food Nola style and excellent customer service, this is definitely the place to head to. The food I ordered was seasoned and fresh. I think the waitress name is Nicole, if I got it wrong, I apologize but her homemade banana pudding was great! And her customer service was on point. This will definitely be one of my top restaurants to eat at in College Station Texas

I ate lunch here over the weekend and it was sooo good. It was my first time so I tried the meat pies, shrimp etouffee, and a shrimp po boy. My friend had the spicy chicken sandwich and my son had the Mac n cheese. Great portion size, DELICIOUS food. The po boy and etouffee had a lot of shrimp in it, they re not stingy with it. All of this and my bill was just at $50. Left full with leftovers. For what I received, this price is a steal! Will be back!

This was the definition of soul food!! Corey was our server and he was incredibly kind, very welcoming and made sure we were happy the entire time! We had a great conversation with him about where we are from as well as a little bit of football! We got the boudain balls and cajun fries as appetizers and they were so delicious. My lunch I got their special spicy chicken sandwich and my partner got the daily special of chicken tenders with jambalaya and mac. First off everything was seasoned to absolute perfection, then you get to the chicken and not only does that taste amazing but its still moist which is incredibly hard to find in fried foods. I strongly recommend going here and am sad we dont live around here, kansas is missing this soul.

Excellent service, warm welcome beginning to end. They were packed and we showed up 15 minutes before closing and they were happy to serve us. We shared 15 pounds and 3 fixins, potatoes/corn/sausage, spicy chicken sandwiches & Jambalaya. The crawfish were classic LA style, all the spice in the meat, juicy heads just like you d find in a family style backyard crawfish boil. None of the sprinkle or sauces like all the other places are doing. Genuinely a diamond in the rough. We didn t know they didn t serve beer so it must be byob, so we will be prepared for next time! 5 lbs for $28. Could definitely use some Zydeco music but that would be my only feedback. Definitely recommend %!

The atmosphere was nice and reminded me of small town establishments. Our server was Ebony and she was great! She was all over the place taking care of every table. Everything tasted fresh, the crawfish were perfect. My children want to go back every day. Lol. I would recommend Remnant to anyone looking for some delicious Louisiana food!

I have never been so impressed with the taste of food before. The Nawlins Boil is by far my favorite meal ever. And tge boudain balls are fantastic. Amazing food, prices, and people! You feel like welcome as soon as you walk in and its really nice to see the owner going around making connections with people. When I go this restaurant I dont just feel like a source of income, I feel like a part of a community. Im excited to see this business continue to grow and succeed. My husband and I can never agree on where to eat, but we can always agree on Remnants :) we even spent Valentines day there. Overall, I cant say enough good things about this place. To the extent that Ive really been wanting to try crawfish for the first time but Im waiting specifically for them to get their next shipment because I am 100% sure that it will be the BEST experience. Pro tip: follow their Facebook page! They post their deals and new limited supply items (e.g., crawfish, banana pudding, pound cake).

Very good hole-in-the-wall Cajun stop with very friendly staff. Dont let the exterior or parking (you pull through what I can only assume is the owners driveway) fool you, good eats await within. This is a tucked away gem. I dont get to B/CS thst often, but when I am there and have time to catch a good meal, this is where I come. The building fits in well with the working class neighborhood adjacent to it, while the interior is clean and well run. My only disappointment is that they only make etouffée on certain days, and I have not managed to catch one yet. Parking: Good sized expansion lot around back, with a well maintained surface. Wheelchair accessibility: Two reserved parking spaces near the door. The tables are such that just about anything could be accommodated, and room to move around in the bathrooms.

MY GRANNY AND I WENT HERE FOR DINNER TONIGHT. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I GOT THE BOUDIN BALLS FOR AN APPETIZER. HONESTLY THE BEST BOUDIN BALLS IVE EVER HAD. THEY WERE CRUNCHY, SPICY, AND FULL OF FLAVOR. JUST KNOW IF YOU ORDER THEM, THERES A GOOD CHANCE YOU WILL GET FULL AND WONT BE ABLE TO EAT YOUR PLATE. BOTH MY GRANNY AND I HAD FRIED FISH AND FRIED SHRIMP. THE FISH AND SHRIMP WERE SEASONED TO PERFECTION AND DIDNT NEED SAUCE, HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE A DIPPER, I RECOMMEND THEIR HOUSE MADE SAUCE. MISS EBONY WAS OUR WAITRESS AND HER SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL. SHE MADE YOU FEEL AS IF SHE REALLY CARED THAT YOU HAD EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED. SHE MADE THE SWEET TEA AND IT WAS EXCELLENT. THE ONLY RESTAURANT I KNOW OF WHERE YOU CAN GET SWEET TEA WITH THE LEMON FLAVOR ALREADY IN IT. COREY, WE WILL BE BACK.

Ill do a longer write-up later, but listen: as a Broussard (moms half of my family), I generally avoid Cajun/Creole restaurants. Its just never like what I or my family cooks at home. Heres the deal: you are literally eating in someones home, with their family, in a space that just happens to be a restaurant. The ONLY thing missing was the music. Ebony up front was a true gem of a person, and I wanted to go back and give soul hugs to the whole kitchen. High points: boudin balls and the seafood gumbo. But literally EVERYTHING (except the ranch dressing) was made by hand, in the kitchen, and with proper love and pride. Just. Go.

A nice hole in the wall restaurant that offers seafood and cajun varieties. They are well known by the locals. Being from New Orleans, I was told about this by my girlfriend in college station. I decided to try it. The service was professional and staff was friendly. The fries were really good, but only got a handful of fries as seen in photo. The sandwich was good but not a TRUE PO-BOY. True po-boys are sandwiches where the shrimp or seafood falls off the sandwiches. This is a good sandwich but no po-boy. If they can do better, I will try them again. They are nice and good to enjoy new orleans related food. The food taste really really good. I just suggest they offer more fries and a better po-boy. I paid $16.05 for everything. It felt more like $9.99 worth of food. Sorry but just being honest. Maybe it was just a bad day for me as they were actually very busy at the time.

I need to mention how kind the staff is. I got there on a Tuesday about 2:30 in the afternoon, ordered my food and took my time eating..... only to find out they close at 3:00 on Tuesdays. I was so embarrassed and apologized for keeping her late. I was assured that there is no need to hurry and to continue enjoying my food. I will be sure to visit this wonderful restaurant again when my travels bring me back to Bryan.

Small restaurant and a bit off the beaten path. You may even pass it if you arent paying attention, but it is definitely worth looking them up and finding it. Came here to support a local business and got even more than I hoped. The food was delicious and the service was great. Had the fish and it was more that I should have eaten :) Will definately be back. Thanks for expanding my restaurant options with some awesome cajun food right here in B/CS.

The Remnant Of Nawlins owner, Korey Thomas, is no stranger to the flavors of good ole down home southern nawlins style cuisine. If your looking for dinner that has a soul and its own story to tell, make sure to stop by The Remnant of Nawlins! You will not be disappointed!

First time there. We were looking for something close to the house. What we had was really good. Great flavor and not overly spiced. just right for us. Shrimp platter was on point and the red beans were very good. My wife s shrimp PO boy was very good. She said it was as good as hers here at home. And says a lot. She has some Cajun roots in here family tree.

If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! We just experienced the BEST food we ve had in years! I had the spicy chicken sandwich and OMG, it was fabulous! Full of flavor and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Nawlins Boil and I don t think I ve ever seen him eat his food so fast! We just left and he s still raving about how amazing the food was! Even our 3 year old devoured his food! Corey was very nice and checked on us several times to make sure everything was good. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Dont miss this place if you are in the area! Great food! My husband took me here for a lunch date last week. It was a little hidden and those are the best places to eat! I loved the mom and pop feel as soon as we pulled in. It was heartwarming to see the free pantry outside the building. When you see that, you instantly know you are supporting a small business with a huge heart The owner is so sweet and makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I had the blackened fish and it was delicious and cooked perfect! My husband had a crab leg and shrimp dish and the seafood was cooked on point as well. I also had my very first Boudain balls! Delicious!!! Thank you for the excellent food and service! I hope you guys keep growing your business and serving delicious food!

I love po-boys, in fact I am what might be termed a po-boy man, thus, invariably I order them when I patronize Cajun restaurants. Even though I have had had po-boys in a renowned shack specializing in them, to expensive restaurants - most of the time, they miss a few marks of excellence in something as penultimate in Cajun cuisine as a po-boy. Fortunately, not this establishment. This establishment serves one of the best po-boys I have ever had - it is that simple. What separates it from all the others is how the bread is light, toasted, steamy and does not drown the fried seafood therein. This is a delicate process, to be managed with care and precision because the seafood has breading already. Further, the mayonnaise was lightly applied and the vegetables were fresh and not squishy because they overheated before serving. The fries on the side were freshly fried and well-seasoned. The boudin balls were homemade. The best meal I have had in Bryan college station. Parking: Excellent

This is such a hidden jewel, but if you know, you know!!! Had family from out of state join us and they loved it. It was a Friday night and First Friday at that so they were slammed. They had just a couple of waitresses busting their tails waiting tables, cleaning tables, taking orders, checking people out, answering the phone, helping throw down in the kitchen, the list goes on! And of course the owner is always there getting his hands dirty too! The wait may be long at times but everyone waiting knows it s worth it!

Because of road construction, it s a little difficult to get to at the moment, but really worth the trip. I had a catfish plate that came with two generous strips of fried catfish and two sides (I had red beans and dirty rice). Catfish was lightly breaded and seasoned to perfection and the rice and beans were a compliment. The highlight though, were boudain balls best I ve ever had. Everything was delicious. Another example of a place off the beaten path with great food. My only complaint: it was a little pricey; $27 for the two fish plate+boudain balls and a water. Overall though, it s a place with great Cajun food and friendly staff.
