Very friendly and attentive staff, waitress refilled drinks without having to ask, came by several times asking if everything was good. Ceasars salad was a great size for a side, delicious, and had the chicken with lemon garlic. It was delicious. Appetizer was great as well, not ready. It was just right. Staff sings for birthdays and brings a nice size of ice crup. Will definitely be returning.

Visited on Saturday at around 4 pm and there was about 3 people in front on the list and was told it would take about 15-20 min to be seated. After 20 min passed we were seated almost an hour after arriving. After being seated we didn t get served for about 15 min after I asked who seamed to be a part of management and he served our drinks and sent out waitress whom I noticed was with other four waiters standing around having a conversation and not helping anyone. The restaurant was almost full and they were just talking to each other the whole time we were waiting to be helped. The food arrived about 30 min later and it wasn t worth what I paid.to be honest it was not satisfying at all as well as my girlfriend s food was not good. Honestly they need to pay attention to customers and be farmater and more efficient as well as the food needs to improve. Very disappointed.

This place can do better. It took forever to seat my friends and I then it took a while for the waitress to take our drinks and then another 30 min to ask for our meals waiter an hour for our food which was cold and then the waitress arguing with me about taking a plate that was not for me and wanted me to pass the plate to my friend which my daughter had already been eating from. They need to hire more servers and manage better. To top it off a waitress broke a glass on a nearby table to ours and didn t clean it well due to being in a rush and my daughter later tripped and ended cutting her hand with a piece of glass. Dont plan on going again

Went today August 18, 2024 ordered Flo filet took 30 minutes for it to arrive beyond ridiculous I had to wait more time Mash potatoes were cold my was rare not medium well. It was not my servers fault she was really nice I tipped her $10. Cooks have to step it up I noticed all guests entrees were taking 30 minutes or more. My husband had the steak with a baked potato and I had the strawberry pecan salad with sirloin. Everything was fresh and delicious. Not to mention out waiter Emiliano N he provided Great Customer service he kept coming to check if we needed anything and asked if we needed anything. My husband is very picky with his steaks and he actually enjoyed his meal.

The food wasnt terrible, except the steak was too salty. I originally asked for gravy on my mash, and instead, it was smothered in butter, way too much butter!! I asked if she could bring another plain without butter or gravy, and she brought it back smothered in gravy. The salad was good. The service, on the other hand, was mediocre at best. Never asked if we wanted more bread, didnt have enough silverware, NEVER came back for refills, and NEVER picked up a single plate or glass from the table. This all explains why the steak place across the highway is always packed, and that wasnt the case st Longhorn. I wont return. I would rather wait or make steaks at home.

Ok, yall, this place. idk. My experience was the worst. Went for a birthday gathering party of 6. Long story short, I think I ordered 2nd to the least difficult dish chicken fried steak. Everyone else ordered ribs, etc. When they brought mine and everyone elses mine was literally cold as if it was sitting on that counter forever because we did wait more than an hour and within that hour our waiter never came to ck on us no refills we always had to flag him down or interup other waitresses or waiters because ours was M.I.A all the time. When I addressed that my meal was cold, not to mention burnt asparagus and very salty and forgot the gravy that goes with it. I already waited forever on it. So I thought they had fresh ones made and would swap nope! I waited another 20 min by this time everyone had finished and I was the only one not eating.. got my plate complete but by this time I lost my appetite and was already upset because he still hadnt come back and ck on the others. He forgot other items from their orders for my other guests. It was just a huge mess. Brought 1 loaf of bread for 6 people. I was like. Seriosly... oh boy! This was on a sunday afternoon I wouldnt come back tell you this much Id rather go to the one in weslaco even if I have to drive up there at least things are up to par and no issues. Presintation on food here is fine, but either missing side dishes, burnt items,cold items or needed refills list goes on. You all been open for quite a while before I decided to come in. I figure staff be well trained by now, yet I was wrong. In the end he didnt charge my dish which was good for me yet bad for the longhorn and its not abt the money it was more abt customer service and it was bad.

If you havent tried the newly built Longhorn Steakhouse in our beautiful city, you are missing out. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted ohh so good. Waited weeks to try this place and left disappointed. Not worth the price and horrible service. Waitress never came back to refill drinks or take empty plates. Other customers around us also kept trying to get her attention. Decided to have lunch here because it wasn t packed and we expected better service. Plates were brought out by other servers and were missing sides. Tried again to flag down a waiter and no one came. Decided not to finish our meal and take everything to go. Not worth the price. I came to this location on Father s Day with my dad. The service and food were both EXCELLENT. The staff was friendly and very helpful for a busy day. The seating time was the same as they told us, but there was bar seating open too. Our food got out fast and hot and the server constantly checked on our drinks. We also got a free brisket queso. Totally mouthwatering.

The restaurant is very nice. Cattle deco is tasteful. And that s where the good part ends. The food was mediocre. Cesar salad with crouton crumbs on them like they poured out the last of the croutons onto the salads. Waiter had the I hate my job vibe, barely spoke and dropped off drinks and turned around and was gone before I had a chance to say thank you. My son s steak was tough. My chicken fried steak was basically a breaded hamburger patty. The breading all fell off, leaving a sad little pale naked patty next to an ice cream scoop size serving of mashed potatoes. The gravy was bland. Overpriced for what we got. Had to flag down the manager to get our bill because the waiter never brought it after I requested it from him. Thanks but no thanks on a return trip.

Went last night , was seated fairly quickly which was nice . That was where the positive ended our waitress was nowhere to been seen until 20 minutes later when she finally showed up . She got my drink order wrong (took her 15 minutes to bring me the correct one) half an hour later I got my dinner , one of my sides is missing and the entire dish was cold . Party of 4 dined in last night. We were able to be seated within 15 minutes. Appetizers came out rather slow, understandably the restaurant was packed so the kitchen was overwhelmed. However, what is not understandable was the quality of the meal due mainly to the temperature it was cooked at. My party ordered a sirloin steak, a New York Strip steak, lamb chops, and salmon. The salmon was cooked beautifully but had zero flavor or seasoning and did not taste marinated at all. The lamb chops were ordered to be cooked to medium, they arrived closer to medium well, very little pink, and charred to a crisp. Even though they tried to hide the charred side by plating the burnt bit face down, I could still taste the burnt meat and seasoning and could clearly see the over charred meat simply by turning it over. The sirloin steak was as thick as a pencil, ordered medium well and the steak was well done. No pink in sight. Hard to achieve with a steak that thin, however there wasn t a sear on it at all. Steak look almost boiled. The strip steak was ordered medium. It arrived well done. It was obviously burnt on one side, clearly forgotten about while it was being cooked on the grill. The grill marks were not visible because it stayed in the same position too long and then to achieve the cross hatch was left there in the hot grill even longer. It s no secret that the cook responsible for this meal is both inexperienced and overwhelmed. However I don t understand how the kitchen manager did not do a quality check, nor did our waitress ask if the meat was cooked to desired temperature. We could have returned the steaks, however, after a 45 to an hour minute wait to be served it just wasn t worth it. I believe my dad s comment was did they go kill the cow? One good thing was the Wild West shrimp, however, the shrimp was not tossed in the garlic butter, and there were no cherry peppers instead it was either banana pepper or pepperoncini. The shrimp were perfectly crispy, but mainly due to the absence of the garlic butter. The brisket queso was decent as well. The Mac and cheese I would come back for, but not much else. Overall a very underwhelming experience, served as the best reminder to simply put in the effort at home and cook. Throwing money at it to give my dad a fine dining experience was not my best idea.

The food was amazing, waiting times not so much. We were told that it would take 30 to 40min to sit a table of 6 people, only to wait 1hr and 30min. We asked multiple times about the table, and the only answer we got was that it was being cleaned. My husband and I frequent Longhorn and are typically always satisfied with our experience. Today s visit however was very disappointing. When we were waiting to be seated the hostess was bad mouthing a family because of the party size they brought in. When we finally got asked how many she answered the phone and left us waiting there. After about 5 mins we finally got seated (there was no wait time it was just staff taking a while). After ordering our food my salad was very discolored and brown, we ordered an appetizer as well and it was unfortunately a disappointment in appearance. Considering I m paying $15 for just the app you would ve assumed it would have came out better. The only positive note was the manager. We called him over and explained our disappointment in our visit and offered to pay for the none eaten app, my salad, and our drinks but he said it was fine. We left but we do not plan on eating at this establishment moving forward. We would rather drive to Harlingen in the future.

Need to have someone review these Google Reviews! Waiter was pleasant during my 8:00 pm dinner. I ordered an appetizer and waited a few minutes. Then I had to remind him to serve us bread. He returned with the bread only to find out that I needed to choose another appetizer. My New York strip was cook to my request but was extremely SALTY! I could understand my bake potato also being on the salty side because that s why roll in the rock salt . Regarding the presentation/ atmosphere, a 40.00 dinner should not include paper napkins similar to ones you use in a public restroom.

First time here at the Brownsville location , mine and my boyfriends orders Parmesan crusted chicken & chicken fried chicken were extremely salty and so was my appetizer which was the onion petals . I had to cancel the appetizer because I was afraid to send it back and for it to still be salty I didn t want to risk it . That was my only concern I would just recommend to lightly season everything

For a New Resturant they need to get better staff and Management. I went in with a party of 10 to celebrate my Moms Birthday. Waited over 2 hours for a table when families of 8 that came in after us were being given tables left and right. Once seated only 2 minutes in and the server spilled the drinks on my dad. And what was the apology we recieved from Management things happen and the servers are overwhelmed. Sorry. After we had placed our order 10 minutes later the waiter comes over and says my wifes order was not being made given the lamp chops had been out since the morning. Then the manager comes around and i ask why they did not 86 the lamb chops so people would not order them and he says that they had just finished before my wife ordered them. Worst place ever. Cancelled the order and went else were to eat. Do not go there it will be a waist of time. Not even a proper apology from the server or Management for all the troubles. If i could i would give it Zero stars.

This is a new restaurant in Brownsville. I was honestly disappointed. I was expecting a high-quality steak with an awesome taste. This establishment was much different than other Longhorns. The service was excellent. 1)The table was slightly dirty when we were seated. 2)The steak was not cooked the way I ordered it. Neither was my husbands. Finally, 3) the taste left a lot to our expectations. I dont believe I would consider returning.

A horrific experience. I ordered the shrimp and lobster chowder and the chowder was bland! Defiantly no shrimp or lobster is that horrendous soup. And unfortunately, our server seemed to be overwhelmed with serving his customers.

The curbside service is horrible. I get a text to check in, I checked in and they take 30 minutes to deliver my food. That s after I called the restaurant to remind them I m here. I get my food and is missing the Caesar dressing, the plastic utensils, napkins and the bread . I had to call again to the restaurant because the girl that delivers the food runs back to the restaurant immediately. By the time I get everything my food is cold. Do not recommend curbside. Also, people park at the curbside spots to dine in. Unacceptable.

Do not visit if you have a party of 6 or more. We were 9 and forced to sit at separate tables despite having plenty of space in the restaurant to move around. They explained that it was to not overwhelm the server but we both had the same server so that was a blatant lie. Lunch was nothing memorable. The shrimp and lobster soup was cream based and was too cheesy although my friends enjoyed theirs. The server was top-notch, management: ehhh not so much.

Ive been to Longhorn a couple of times now and everytime its been an amazing visit. My waitress Avreel was most attentive and knowledgeable. She greeted me with a warm and friendly smile, informed me of the menu and took my order quickly. Always came back to check on me and made sure my food was cooked right. Shes definitely one of the Longhorns best. Food was delicious but the customer service was 10/10. Will definitely be back.

This is the first time visiting the Brownsville,tx location. The atmosphere fantastic, the place is extremely clean, the service couldnt be better. Food was delicious . Highly recommend. Customer service was EXCEPTIONAL, thanks to Estrella! I rated the food a 4-star, simply because we got a steak that should have been Medium and came out Medium-Rare. Thankfully we spoke to the manager and he addressed the problem immediately with the kitchen staff. He made it right by bringing a new steak and cooking it the way we requested. We had a great experience overall. Estrella was so friendly and always had a smile on her face. She had patience and was simply so welcoming. We will make sure to ask for her in the near future.
