Went for a birthday dinner and it was amazing! Rick was our waiter he was very attentive and gave us many recommendations. We had the Raviolis Poblanos and it was very tasty and filling. The watermelon and lychee martinis were very delicious. Great restaurant for birthdays and celebrations very fancy and aesthetic. Right before we left they had live music. Definitely recommend coming here.

Food and atmosphere was really good but prices are way high. You are paying prime steak prices for essentially eating bread. I would recommend going to this restaurant on rare special occasions but still keep in mind the value is not worth the cost. You can go have fresh pasta at a better value for your money at that other Italian restaurant that recently reopened in Harlingen.

This place feels like walking into an art gallery. Its a beautiful resturant, and we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table immediately. Our server was Chris. He was kind and has great customer service skills. Chris was attentive and made great recommendations on the menu. Everything we ate was delicious, we highly recommend the pizza! Dining here is an all around wonderful experience. Eat at Matildas for a fun and delicious meal.

Take the opportunity to visit this cozy restaurant. For romantic dinner or with friends waiter was very informative on menu. Food was certainly not of a chain restaurant and very comfortable. Owner came multiple time to make sure we were enjoying our night. Music was just a bit too loud and they made multiple attempts to lower but it kept going back up. Not terrible, just a critic that I am sure they will fix. They should not allow anyone to park where it blocks others from exiting the parking lot.

The dining experience did not meet expectations. The food was below average and overpriced at $150 for two people. The dishes did not match their presentation on social media. Specifically, we ordered esquites and received only four, whereas the advertised portion was six. Additionally, the drink was of poor quality and taste. However, Chris our server provided commendable service and was the only positive aspect of the evening.

One of the best dining experiences ever ! Me and my family went to celebrate a birthday and were very pleased. This was my first time at this restaurant and I can happily say that I will be dining here again. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an upscale place to enjoy a nice candlelit dinner and a good time w friends or family. Our server Chris was amazing and attentive. Overall I was impressed w our visit. I also want to say that the Ravioli poblano was the best dish. Other than that all of the other dishes were exquisite.

Aesthetic is all over the place as they have about 10 different concepts theyre trying to string together. Food was average and portions were small, while the pricing misleads you to believe that you are paying for premium food which it is not. The 4 cheese pizza was not good at all and the ravioli could cooked better at home. PLUS the set up is terrible as the tables are way too crowded together.

Went to Matilda for the first time the other day and we had the best experience. Hailie, our server, was so attentive and sweet. She gave us great recommendations and our food was delicious and so were the drinks. The lady bartender was also very lovely. Had previously gone when they had just opened. Tried the Ravioli with shrimp and it was pretty good but the portion is very small considering about $40 for the plate. Went back and figured I would buy a steak for that price ($48) and was really disappointed with the size of the steak. It was really thin and probably about 6-8oz ribeye. I asked for medium well and the first steak was over cooked. I returned it and the second steak was so small and still over cooked. My friends ordered the Ravioli since I had made that suggestion and they were pretty disappointed because they said it was pretty dry. I think the price is a bit too high for the amount of serving you are getting. As far as taste, the first time I went I was not disappointed but this second time we werent impressed.

We had a horrible experience at this place. Not worth the hype. Waited an hour and a half to get our food. Service was bad, they kept forgetting our stuff. The food was mediocre at best. The price was ridiculous. $150 for 2 people. We had 2 entrees and 4 drinks total. Save your money and go somewhere else. Definitely will not go back. Very disappointed

The pasta was good, the poblano sauce really tied in the ravioli. The pizza on the other hand was not very good tasted like PPP pizza for the price I was very disappointed. It was awesome! We started with an appetizer, the esquites, which really are a different flavor for the Valley; a marriage of Italian sauces with a traditional Mexican elote and it paired really well. We followed it up with the Mexican pizza and the pesto pasta, which were recommended items by our kind, attentive, and friendly server, Chris, and they were amazing. We finished it off with the cheesecake, which was sweet without being overpowering and the perfect cap off to an excellent meal. Highly recommend.

Went in for lunch and Chris was our server. He was very attentive and provided us with many recommendations and gave us tips for future visits. We ordered the esquites which were just the right amount of spicy. Also ordered the 24k pizza, very interesting to see and it was good, but pesto pasta was the star. It was the best pasta I ve had in a while, nothing like it in Brownsville. For our 21st wedding anniversary we elected to reserve a table at Matilda and I am glad we did. The staff is welcoming at the door and our Server, Chris, did an amazing job at making our anniversary special, thank you for that. For an appetizer we had the Aguachile De Ribeye with a spicy sauce that pairs well with the ribeye. For our main course, we had the Raviolis Poblano, which is a delicious dish with a signature Mexican creamy Poblano sauce that makes you wish they sold it at the counter. The Frutti Di Mar was savory with a subtle, homemade marinara sauce that makes the pasta that much more flavorful. As for drinks, the Elder Flower is the right mix of ingredients, it will not disappoint. I look forward to another wonderful evening here.

I loved! To begin with, the place is beautiful, a very elegant restaurant designed with the best taste and exceptional service. The food is not far behind, we really liked everything from the starters, main course, dessert and drinks too.
