Waitress were not paying attention especially when the moment to tall white males came in all the attention shifted that way, that when it came to paying we were charged incorrect cause they would walk away andbleave us standing there to go and attend to them. I was flabbergasted like you have got to be kidding especially when so called owner came out of his hole and walked directly to the tabel and asked if everything was ok and how may i help or take your order.... The only restaurant in all of Brownsville that does Mexican food justice. The only branch that I highly recommend. The others dont. This branch is very different. The drinks are delicious, I recommend the watermelon water . When I was pregnant it was one of the only places I wanted to go. When you arrive in the morning they give you small plates with animal crackers, then a few minutes later they take your order and everything really tastes good. From lunches to meals. The flour tortillas are huge and very delicious and if you want to know if a Mexican food place is good... try their salsa. And the one here is super good. I really dont know why I dont have photos of all the times weve been, but I think its one of those places where the food looks so good that you forget to take photos. It is very noticeable how the owner wants to make this place a good restaurant. My congratulations I highly recommend it.

Awesome great once entering you feel cozy and greeted loved everything they give you small animals crackers while you wait for your food and crackers and coffee great combination food was good just keep in mind every item not with combos might cost 5 to 6 dollars each so its not too pricey but it does accumulate loved this place love the food and staff was amazing

The truth is, I really love the place and the food, but the best thing is the service of some of the employees, especially Pola, Ruby and another lady from Pelo güero. Believe me, I always go to meet them and talk to them. They are super cute, super attentive in everything. To start the place looks very nice and modern along with the screens which they show they re specials and loyal customers and even announce birthdays, the service is overall good , from them being super attentive the minute you step foot inside making sure you know what s available and get what you want, along with the service being pretty quickly done , even when full wait time is very reasonable, and the food is delicious my favorite is the agua frescas, as an appetizer panchos and as my main menudo con pata so good. prices are very reasonable compared to how much food they give you and the fact that you can take the rest to go , overall 10/10 Kid-friendliness: they are very kind and patient to the kids offering them animal crackers as they come through the door,patiently asking what they want and how they want it and even gave my daughter some candy (free of charge) when i paid.

More than satisfied here at Doña Carmens de Paredes since you arrive, everyone is attentive, greeting us and the place is very clean, each person who serves us with their best smile and the food with the best seasoning in all of Brownsville, thanks to everyone in the kitchen, I recommend everyone the dishes but my favorite is Mexican Plate with lemon water and dont miss the dessert of the day. I went to this Dona Carmen s yesterday and it was amazing! The salsa was fresh and spicy, and the guacamole was creamy and delicious. I ordered the fajitas tacos and they were cooked perfectly.
