So when this place first opened up it was great! Reminded me so much of antionos in brownsville before it closed. Came here with ny husband recently and food was okay at best. The guac was old and browned and the customer service is lacking so bad. Everyone looks so bored. The atmosphere here is just so dead also :/ which really sucks cause this place has so much potential to be good. They just really need to like revamp it up. On a scale from 1-10, 1 being worst and 10 being best id place it at a solid 5.5-6

We had a young man helping us. He was green but got an A for effort. He was really trying and we could see that. The food was good. The beer was cold. Awesome. Overall I enjoyed my 1st time there. Ill be going back GW. Prices were reasonable as well.

This place has really gone down the rabbit hole ! At first they were exceptional but now, I wouldn t even take my Dog to this place. I got the runs from their flautas, and their meat would make a decent shoe sole replacement ! I will not be back EVER ! Food

Food was really good, however, service needs more practice. Too slow to get orders, had to repeat myself multiple times, not bringing enough silverware, seemed confused. Said they weren t expecting people so kitchen was going to closing, so food took extra long which is ok, but if they re closing, why let more people in? And tell is that way after? Atmosphere was alright.

I regularly visit and order the cheese enchiladas. Today I was being adventurous and ordered chicken flautas. The chicken was spoiled, smelled like fish and ammonia. The wait staff was courteous and quickly replaced my order. What was concerning is that at no point did the manager come over and check on us or apologize. Poor customer service on their part. And to the cook I m sure he had to have smelled that when he plated my food.

While I was eating at this place and wondering how I would rate it, the only thing I kept remembering was my brothers recommendation when he told me BRO! Its like the owners built a time machine and traveled back in time and told the cooks at Antonios on Strawberry Square (you know back when it was good) to get in!! If youre old enough and a Brownsville native, you will get it! The food was really good and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the mood for fajitas! The only reason I didnt give this place 5 stars was because their fajitas still had silverskin (which is uneatable and should have been removed before cooking) on the meat! But regardless I will happily go back the next time we are in Brown Town to try the ribs and chicken!

Family atmosphere. Variety of dishes. Friendly service. Ideal for meetings. Buffet Parking: On weekdays the staff from the bank next door occupy the parking lot in front of the restaurant almost entirely. That makes it seem like the restaurant is full but it is not. The plaza where the restaurant is located has more parking spaces on one side. Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is familiar. You can come with the whole family. Wheelchair accessibility: There are access ramps for people with disabilities.

We ordered the botana for two and were disappointed with the quantity of food. The fajita and chicken were sliced into bite size pieces - not what we expected at all. The tortilla for the nachos tasted rancid. The quantity of the food was definitely not for two people.

Arrived at 11am, tostadas had just been made, so they were warm and deliciously fresh. Salsa is VERY mild. Flautas were good & Mom enjoyed her tacos. They have a lunch buffet which looked very good and seems very popular($11.25 per person and includes corn tortillas). Music by the keyboard pianist was pleasant.

The food was good. More Tex Mex style. The waitress did an outstanding job trending to us and was very polite. The reason for the atmosphere is they were painting the businesses next to the restaurant and they had to open the front door so people wouldnt get sick from the smell of paint. I would have given it a five star. Great job

I went in with my family for Wednesdays dinner buffet and thought the carne guisada was delicious. As for the rice and beans, they were mediocre/ bland, and the crispy taco was good, but the enchiladas were dry from the inside. The enchilada tortilla was a bit hard and dryish, barely had any cheese inside the enchilada if it even had any; I was very disappointed since the enchiladas were the main reason I went there.

i loved that they were able to get a table together for a big group we had. but once we were there, the waiters were not very helpful. we were not getting all our drinks refilled and the order came out late, several of us did not get tortillas. apart from those setbacks, the food was good. one of our guys got the buffet and loved it. we ordered several different plates and all were good.

They have a good selection on the menu and a buffet which is served for you, I tried the buffet, and they didnt have all items available. The food was good but not great from the buffet but the plate my wife got was terrible, the chicken nor the breading had any season and half way thru the chicken had a wierd taste so we let the waitress know and she told us it was the breading that most likely had that taste. The Prices are a little high for the quality and the place was hot, staff and others were fanning themselves because it was hot inside. We went to this restaurant on 4-14-23. Food was very good. Whoever stated in the previous review of the beans being from a can was wrong. They were freshly cooked beans. I had the chuletón plate and my girlfriend had the sizzling chicken fajitas. They were both very good. They have buffet during the week and Wednesday nights and Sunday . Food is good. Our server (Daniel) was great. When we got there the restaurant was just opening up. It was 11:15am on a Saturday. I thought it was a little strange that the restaurant was being mopped in the morning; however, the establishment was clean and look nice. The restaurant does not have buffet on Saturdays. The server was awesome. He offered suggestions and made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it. We are definitely returning. I really would like to try the buffet.

The only thing I liked was the refried beans, panchos, and rice. I ordered the fajita plate and this is what I received. When I bit in to a piece of the chicken, it had a weird texture while I was chewing. The charro beans tasted like if they were straight out of a can. I only ate the rice. Not going there again.
