I enjoy Thundercloud Subs, but my recent visit to this location was quite frustrating. There was no clear line structure, and people kept cutting in front of me. No one greeted me as I stood there waiting. The staffing seemed inadequate one employee was handling online orders while the other was working very slowly. It took me about 40 minutes to walk in, place my order, and leave with my food.

This is the best of all the Thundercloud locations Ive been to (many). The Georgetown shop deviates from the franchise esthetic of employees being too stoned to have the responsibility of making a sandwich. The Gtown crew has what it takes to make a superior sandwich they dont disappoint. This is a smoothie location too!

After several people suggested that I try their egg salad, we decided to stop by, we have never been to a Thundercloud Subs before and my family and I had high hopes for this becoming our local sandwich spot. Unfortunately, we were left standing at the counter and ignored by all 3 employees for 10 minutes. I even asked a lady in line behind me if this was normal for them, she regrettably informed me that it was a normal issue for this location. Needless to say we left here extremely disappointed. I do not understand why you would not at least acknowledge your customers, even if it is to explain that someone will be assisting them, after all customers are your income!!

I love thundercloud over all other sandwich shops... But when I come in for a Austin club and the girl only asks for bread and size. literally nothing else and you realize she is still missing ingredients for the actual sandwich. And still up charges for the sandwich.... Do you just pay and walk away or complain to the other person especially if its their busy hour? If she is new she needs to know how to make the sandwiches that way she doesnt stop what shes doing to turn around and talk to the other person whos busy making sandwiches as well.

I absolutely love over paying for a sandwich with limited ingredients only to have you swing that screen around with preloaded tip selections. The only sandwich shop to charge extra for a few olives. I saw you slap a whole avacado on the veggie sandwich you made for the woman with a bolt through her nose who stomped in with her protester boots and unshaved legs. Forgive me for ordering meat on a sandwich.

Great place. We ordered our food ahead, and it was tucked away safe and sound awaiting our arrival. Had we not, my lunch hour wouldve been more like lunch hour and a half. The store itself is tucked away just off main street, so parking close by is difficult, but who doesnt need a touch more exercise? Stop reading and order your food already.

Extremely bad first experience drove 30 mins today to this place. Ordered two sandwich s once home noticed that they forgot tomatoes on both sandwich s. Oh and the added bonus that can actually kill both myself and my significant other onions ! Was absolutely over the top in my request to pls, pls please do not add onions. We are in fact both extremely allergic. Both sandwiches had to be thrown out and because we had nothing for dinner had to then order pizza. This was a nightmare first experience. Dietary restrictions: We are allergic to onions and they put them on the two sandwiches we ordered.

Put in an online order- 20 min after it was supposed to be ready, the are taking walk in to-go orders rather than dealing with the people who ordered 40 min ago online. I don t recommend ordering online. If you do, it seems you get pushed back to the back of the line. I get being short staffed or having a large group come in and throw things for a loop- but prioritize what you have in front of you.

We there in the last few days. Server was wearing gloves, but never changed them in the process of making several orders. Wiped hands on his pants one time, and made change for another customer then returned to sandwich duty. No change of gloves. We have always enjoyed this store, but better sanitation measures need to be reviewed with staff before we visit this location again.

Ever since we moved to Georgetown we made our first trip to this particular Thundercloud. As is always the case we were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Its super easy to place your order online and swing by the restaurant to pick it up a short time later. Nobody was there when we arrived. The double meat New York Italian is one of my favorites. I never get tired of it plus it always satisfies my cravings for a cold cut sub. But I love most all the other subs too! Great sandwiches, great institution. Update 4/7/21: I was disappointed in my most recent visit. After picking up my online order of a small double meat hot pastrami I got home and discovered hardly any meat that was also cold. I only live 5 minutes away and saw them place it on the pickup rack as I walked in the store. Oh well, I guess stuff happens. It must have been a new sandwich artist that day. They usually get it right so Ill keep going back.

I love Thundercloud! i was impressed with how well these guys did with pandemic precautions, masks, hand sanitizer, and the dining room is huge so you can easily distance from others and eat comfortably. Also, they were friendly, which also helps! I aLways worry about parking near the square in Georgetown, but if you go a little before or after the lunch rush, its no problem!

Horrible experience! The guy helping us is clearly very new, which is fine, but no one helped him when he clearly needed it. He had to look down at his cheat sheet for every ingredient for a ham, cheese, mustard, and mayo sandwich. And every other sandwich after that. We waited over 30 minutes for 4 sandwiches and one salad. He put pastrami on our Itaiian subs and when my husband asked why he did that he said it s Capicola, it clearly was not. After all of that, the food wasn t even good. I definitely do not recommend!

Thundercloud subs singlehandedly cured my depression, before I had these subs in my life I was addicted to video games and e-boi onlyfans accounts. One day while coming down off a weeklong datura binge I waltzed into their shop after mistaking it for my house. Despite the staffs initial concern by me raiding their freezer (thinking it was my own), they were put at ease once the police tazed me. The shock of the tazer, combined with the delicious meet of the sandwich and the permanent psychosis, made me realize some things in life are worth living for, such as Thundercloud subs. Horrible service. 6 people in building and employees kicked us out stating 10 people max or they and i could get fine 1000.00. We were 8 and 9. Very rude to us. Will never go back. Could have had a free meal had i not gone back in for the chips. Lol. They handed me the bag and no one asked for payment. . More details.... Sign on door states call in or online orders. I stood in front of store and called in the order as the sign stated. I waited 10 to 15 min. while watching people walk in and out. I counted people. 3 employees, rest comtomers. Again we were number 9 and 10. If they are going to follow rules then the people in the building should have been turned away. They did not order in manner stated on the front door. I did follow directions and i was told to get out. Why where the people walking in and ordering not told to leave and order online or call it in? To owner.... How about in addition to customer service training you also teach that a rule posted on your business door is for everyone. Favor runner included.
