I m not much of a seafood lover but this place turned me into one lol the shrimp and ceviche I had was so fresh and super delicious. My Michelada was sooo good overall presentation of my drink and food was exquisite. Absolutely delicious y all won t regret going!! Oh and waiters are super nice and eye candy he even gave us extra salsa to take home cause it was that good!

Great place to enjoy some seafood with family, The food was delicious and cooked perfectly.some of the best coconut shrimp we have tasted.Plates are very well served and prices are good. The service was awesome as the waiters are very attentive and make sure you dont need anything. There is a bar and music is playing in the background but it wasnt loud at all so youre able to have a normal conversation. Truly recommend this place! Ate at this place and it wasn t horrible, but it was not that good. The flounder was terrible, way over-fried. Fried shrimp was just ok. Be cautious and ask for pricing BEFORE you order. Prices are blank on menu. I ordered the flounder plate and it was a whopping $22.50! Not worth it at all. I invited my family (8) and the bill was almost $300. I would stay away

Not a fancy looking place But the food is so delicious you can swear you are at a fancy place. The seafood soup/ caldo de marisco 7 mares is delicious and it ranks in 9/10s now leaving my 3 Favorite seafood places trailing.The breaded oysters were just as Expected not just only breading like most places but actual oysters and good size as well.The staff is super friendly and our server Victor was on top of things making sure we had everything to our likening. Definately a place to go back too.The food was great the kids loved the burgers and wings. Thank you all..

We came across this place accidentally, our parents had just ate here cause my dad was hungover and we were meeting them to pick something up- our parents were gone by the time we made it, but we felt obligated to stay because as soon as we walked in the staff greeted us and although they were packed they quickly accommodated a table they brought from outside and sat us down!!! My sister was hungover, and a gentleman whom we believe to be the owner personally brought her some water and some consomé . The waiter was excellent, and he made some great suggestions, the food was BOMB! We live in Houston, but we will definitely be stopping by on our next visit!

For a truly delectable experience go no further. I have tried other seafood restaurants and its the same thing same look same flavor but not here. Inside its family friendly and clean without the overwhelming fish smell. The crew is well dressed and well groomed professional and ready to help you make the most delicious choice for you. Levanta el muerto means to raise the dead and their seafood will raise more than that! Prices are average but quality and cleanliness was impressive. We were in another good restaurant nearby (La Veracruzana on Southmost Rd.)where ethnic authenticity abounds. We turn thumbs down at most restaurants to certain species of fish , such as Basa, Tilapia or other farm raised seafood. So They referred us to Levanto el Muerte up the street. Levanta El Muerto offered Fresh Flounder and Red Snapper grilled and their Cervice or cócteles were excellent. They serve beer and one of my favorites Topo Chico agua mineral. Yes, this may be my #1 Marisco place after my next visit. Suggestions: please put larger chunks of fish (and more) in vuele la vida. Observation: S. Brownsville is becoming an international food mecca.

This was our first visit because my wife wanted to try the octopus. I had the shrimp quesadillas. The quesadillas were ok. I just wish the cheese had been melted a little more. They only have tea in a bottle and my wifes lemonade was good. The service was great so overall it was an ok experience. We will go back to try this location again.

This place is amazing! My family and I were there this past Saturday, and tried several of their plates. They all loved it! The owner is extremely nice.
