Such a really cool experience!! From finding the entrance to the warm welcome, it just felt like a well kept secret. The atmosphere is awesome with a good selection of books and drinks. 10/10 for the mocktail selection!

Always a great place to be. It gets busy after about 7pm, but before then its quiet, roomy, and so fun to browse with friends or on your own. They have a fun drink menu and great seating options. I love this place!

I came by because I love the concept however I strongly advise if you like your drinks the way they should be this probably is not the spot for you. I ordered an Irish coffee and hand an iced coffee concoction of madness. The bartender took the drink and a snarky attitude saying oh you wanted it hot? I then was handed a lukewarm coffee that was honestly one of the most disgusting drinks I ve ever tasted. They should probably stick to the books and just remove the spirits because these drinks are not good at all

An AMAZING little hidden gem in the heart of downtown Belton. As a book lover, I m obsessed and wanted to spend all day there. Quaint little bookstore with a decent array of different titles. Coffee was delicious and the staff is so friendly. We were all talking while they were setting up for a brunch class. I loved seeing how many events they host, and can t wait to catch an event soon! I d definitely recommend this book store to every book lover in the area.

Cute little shop and I love the atmosphere. It reminds me of a dark romantic setting and it transports me to the library from my favorite fantasy book (nine realms by Amelia Hutchins) They have a small book collection, but will have the ones trending. Went to a few events here and enjoyed the vibes. They were laid back, all of the drinks tasted differently (even when you ordered the same one, it was different the second and third time) but overall were very tasty. The banana pudding one is good, their smokey whiskey old fashioned is good and i enjoyed their as if cocktail and Jelly shots when they have them. Their cute little cautery boards are nice too. Love that you can get a little snacky-snack. Unique little gem that I would recommend. 10 out of 10

So happy to have stumbled across this place! Recently went there for a few drinks while I finished a book I knew was going to hurt me the bartender was so friendly & relatable. Drinks were delicious & a cozy atmosphere. I will suggest you bring headphones if you re going there to read, JUST IN CASE it s busier. I told all my coworkers about it & I cannot wait to go back!! Charming spot hidden behind a painting. Really cool concept, who wouldnt want drinks + books combo. I got the Elementary My Dear Watson, caramel latte, Sherlock Holmes is my favorite detective series. Cool vibes and good selection of trinkets and books. The vibe here just hits right every time! I now stop by here every time Im in the area. Excellent cocktails, cozy seating, great book selection, and now I found out they have mixology classes on Wednesdays! Friday and Saturday evenings get packed so feel lucky if you get seating. Wednesday evening was a much more quiet, low-key vibe. Also, total snaps to the young ladies who work here! Always friendly, not fake friendly, but genuinely friendly no matter how busy it is.

Amazing little place. Kinda hidden behind a sliding door to make it feel like a speakeasy. Great place to hang out when you are downtown and have some time to enjoy the place. This is my Happy place. I love it here. Staff is great, vibes are great, and f/b are great. My husband and I went on a very chill date here mid day. It was so lovely! Gorgeous tableware, very nice tea setup, delicious bagels! It is very affordable for what you get IMO. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an elegant, yet quiet and cozy spot.

All hail Dolly Parton in the best speakeasy in Bell County with so much character. The atmosphere is incredibly intimate and warm. The decor also doubles as purchasable books. The drinks are hand crafted, albeit a bit pricey. Theres a lack of board games but you can scavenge one if youre patient. I will absolutely be coming back for the holiday decor and pleasant vibes. Tip: there are always special holiday drinks that are to die for Flavor 5/5 - death to Frosty is like drinking a warm apple pie Value 3/5 - bit pricey, no cheap drinks here Service 5/5 Atmosphere 10/5 - feels so good! Blackbird is such a unique and special bookstore. I drove up from Austin, and it was well worth the trip! Not only is the book selection lovely, the cocktails are unbelievable! The staff was kind and well-informed, and there are even comfy chairs for perusing through a book. I easily made an afternoon of visiting the shop, and cant wait to go back.

10/10 this place is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is great, their book selection is small but when they do have is fantastic! We did not try one of their drinks, but they do also sell merchandise and cute bags and candles! They are a little bit difficult to find, look for the door to the pizza place in the front of the building or the door to the crepe place on the side of the building. If you go through the entrance on the side, it is the second unmarked door on the right. If you go through the entrance to the front walk through the door to the pizza place. Im attaching pictures of both. If the pizza place looks closed that doesnt mean the bookstore is! They are just in the same building. We absolutely loved it, will definitely be back and recommend!

I really enjoyed my experience as much as the next person does, but having to wait 30 minutes for a drink was unnecessary. I was looking for my bartender who took my order while I was waiting, but they were nowhere to be found until later reappeared with a group of friends from outside the bar. I gave up and decided to close my tab with the bartender who took my order. They asked if my total was correct, and thats when I spoke up about placing an order that I never received. They quickly recognized their fault and apologized plus offered a discount. I hope to return again with better service considering the prices you have to pay for the cocktails.

I love, love, love this bookstore/bar. In the evening, you can find fabulous cocktails, great service, and a chill but lively crowd. A perfect bar for people who hate bars! Try the key lime pie shot. My only gripe is that they haven t quite figured out their day shift. Both times I ve been during the day, they only have book clerks staffed who don t seem to be trained to make any of their daytime drinks (tea, coffee, etc). It could be a lovely little place to study or read during the day, but it s quite awkward to settle for your 4th drink choice and get served by some poor clerk trying to do something that s not in their job description. Again, LOVE this place. Have been 5 or 6 times in the first two months it s been open, and I ll keep finding excuses to go . just not during the day.

I love the setup of this place and how versatile it is. It can be a cozy date night place, a chill hang out with friends, an alone time read a book space, anything you want! Not to mention, the cocktails are perfection. The Mad Hatter cocktail is such a fun drink to share with a friend and is sooo good. Every drink is so aesthetically pleasing too. The venue and book shop with a bar is a quiet unique place. When we walked in to browse we made ourselves comfortable in one of the delightful chairs. The woman at the bar was chatting with a a customer. We looked at the offerings printed on the menu. We waited and she did not acknowledge us, I was waiting for her to say welcome in when your ready, I will take your order , not a single word. We continued to sit and waiting to make eye contact, nothing. So my husband said he would browse again, but still no acknowledgment from the woman at the bar. It wasn t busy, as there was one woman sitting in a chair reading. We continued to wait patiently as she continued to chat with one person at the bar. We heard about this place so we were excited to visit. We had a wonderful lunch at the Latin cuisine restaurant, their hospitality and food was A+ We were very disappointed that we were completely ignored .. not sure what we had to do to get served? Not so sure we will be returning, with no reception of any kind. Thank you, this young woman needs to polish up on customer service.

Super beautiful location! I absolutely LOVE the entrance. There is plenty of variety for everyone including anime, biographies, and many different genres. The bar looks adorable. I had the pleasure of attending the soft opening last night and I had a great time! The book selection is great and the ambiance is fantastic! The presentation of the drinks was awesome, and a wide variety for everyones taste! I dont drink alcohol, but their mocktails were delicious. Overall, its a great place to hang out with some friends.
