So I walked over here, not knowing exactly what this place was. Very cool little hole in the spot of nostalgic toys and games, but if you go in one store, you have to go in them all! Theres a creepy store filled with oddities, a horror store, and a retro game store!

Unlike its brother building next to it this store was great. There was so much selection and variety for an amazing price. Even some of the older more rare collectibles were way cheaper than you would expect. They had some figures Ive never seen before. It felt way bigger than it is. My wife and son came with me to see what this place had. My son found a loose car/tank that was low on a shelf (also very used) and was rolling it on the floor testing it out. A store clerk came up to my wife and son and said can you not? Yeah can you not do that? Assuming the noise it emitted bothered him. The composure it takes for rude people like this (let alone a store clerk) was astounding. The audacity to demand customers essentially putting down a loose/worn toy car after simply rolling it, is outrages. The guy had a ball cap, and a goatee, white, 5 9 probably 50-55yo. Dude deserves to get rocked or chin checked. I hope the next customer he s rude to he gets sucker punched man seriously. We left immediately. Being a father and a husband, keeping composure and dignity was definitely a test for this worm that works here. Yall tread lightly with staff:) they re also overcharging for worn/damaged toys. Avoid

Actually enjoy this place a lot, mainly for the nostalgia factor it gives someone like myself who grew up on the old games and toys. The 5 star review is purely based on the kindness and knowledge that the guys here have. They bring that store to life and have an answer to any question you may have. I wont lie, the first time I came to this place (12/29/23) it was amazing to go here for my switchs screen to get replaced. But the second time I got my switch back (3/16/24), it had major issues, for one, my switch couldnt pick up any other wifi routers & other major issues. So I would assume it depends, this place is either a hit or miss. Update: We brought it back, I loved the work that they have done to my switch oled, I would recommend coming here if you have any problems with your console people!!

Sold some figures for 135 credit and found a cool figure that Ive never seen before. Then, I ended up going to Target, and seeing the exact same figure had just come out, and they marked it up 95 dollars. Tried to resolve the situation and was told they couldnt do anything. So Google the item before you go here to make sure youre not being ripped off.

I brought my original Xbox here to take advantage of the $60 no matter whats wrong with it claim, and the console was not repaired. I specifically advised them about the disk drive issue that has occurred for 16 years now, and they alleged that there were no issues with the console. After a 2 week period, I received my console back on January 30,2024 free of charge, but it still experiences the same issue. I can only play games (both new and used) for about 30 minutes until the disc is damaged or dirty error appears. I dont believe they extensively tested all of the consoles functionality, as they claimed. Also, both employees had dull vibes. Especially, the tall, older guy with glasses who was also nonchalant and vague when I inquired about the repair process. I believe they dont repair goods when the cost exceeds $60 as a new disk drive would. Instead of advertising unrealistic pricing to attract demand, they should just offer honest service and at least pretend to enjoy working in a private video game store.

Ive been here a few times and was hoping my experiences were rare, but every time Ive come in the staff has been very unfriendly and stand-off-ish, seemed like it was a chore for them to help me and it was even more of a challenge to get them to open up about which games they like. Definitely will not be returning, they must be selling drugs out of the back because theres no way they should still be in business with their distant, unfriendly attitudes. The prices and selection are comparable to movie trading company.

I bought a PS1 from here that broke on the 2nd day of usage and so that was sort of inconvenient. They fixed it but honestly I just wanted my money back or for them to fix my old PS1 I had brought it that couldnt output video. Doing research, the parts for that fix are $10 if not less (its just a couple of capacitors. They sell them in a set on a variety of websites) and I assume the service fee would be $40-70 and I wouldnt mind paying that considering I dont have the experience to fix it on my own. But I understand and appreciate their business. They have a wide range of things from figures to games so Id check them out.

We have been coming here for a very long time since they opened I think? There is always something new to see at each location. Whether you are shopping just for yourself or for your family they usually have a good amount of stock and they even have video games and consoles as well. I have a 3ds and they had a charger here for sale at a really good price compared to other places. They also have a repair team that gave me a fair quote and fast feedback on when I can come and pick up my ds lite. We frequently shop at all locations just to see what they have. I highly recommend you make a stop here if youre looking for birthday or Christmas items for your grandkids. The customer service is well informative and helpful.

I like the fact that they sell even the toys that do not have all the parts. The fact that they sell old game systems and games makes this place a diamond find for me. I visited Retro Madness in March 2023, and my experience was fairly average. Upon entering the store, I noticed the unique decor and ambiance, which created a nostalgic atmosphere. Retro Madness offers a decent selection of merchandise, including video games, toys, action figures, and collectibles, as they buy, sell, and trade these items. Its clear that they put some effort into curating their inventory, and the quality of the items available is satisfactory. The store caters to a diverse clientele, with options for people of all genders and preferences. The pricing is acceptable for the majority of the items, although a few seemed a bit on the expensive side. I did have one negative experience when a staff member became somewhat aggressive because we didnt acknowledge him upon entering the store. The employee raised his voice and repeatedly demanded acknowledgment, yelling Acknowledge me, Acknowledge me, Acknowledge me 3 times repeatedly... Considering its 2023 and people can be quite unpredictable, I promptly attempted to defuse the situation by apologizing and explaining that I hadnt heard him. He tried to play it off, but the vibe was already kind of ruined and I didnt appreciate that considering I had responded with a hello when I first entered the store, lol. In conclusion, I believe Retro Madness is fairly average. None of the products I discovered could be classified as rare, and the prices did not strike me as exceptionally good deals. To be honest, I am confident that there is a better selection available online. The primary appeal of these brick-and-mortar locations is the customer experience, which, regrettably, did not impress me. Although the staff appeared mostly friendly and helpful, my one negative encounter left a bitter aftertaste.

This place is a diamond! The left joystick on my Switch broke off after a bad fall, so I sent it back to Nintendo for a replacement. They quoted me $90 and three weeks, and I SWIFTLY asked them to return it. I looked up local repair spots and brought my Switch here because of the reviews. And they exceeded my expectations. The joystick repair was $25, they did it in 6 days, and theres also a warranty. Plus, I got a free trip down memory lane; The retro Nintendo selection is top notch. Absolutely coming back for any games/repairs from now on!

I love this place got a super nintendo from here. Game selection is pretty small but you will find hidden gems here. I usually come for the video game side. But the other side has collectable toys. Very helpful staff. As well as knowledgeable. And they fix old consoles. This is a definite Go To spot. The level of Nostalgia u get from walking in is amazing. But check the games they are sometimes not in the best conditions ive returned 2 games cos they were broken. But the place will credit u for it or replace it with another game. Theyre really cool. On so many levels.

If I could leave a 0/5 I would. If you need a console repaired, don t bring it here. They bricked my homies 2DS and offered some lame excuse. They don t even make them anymore, so now he s out his 2DS and his money. Heed my warning and just be cautious if you value your electronics and money.

The folks here are amazing! The owner of the shop kindly replaced the battery for a game I bought that happened to have been shot a few days after I bought it for no charge! Kudos to the technicians here for doing such a great job on the games I had battery changes for so far! They also have revived my copy of Chrono Trigger for a few bucks, and I will definitely do business here again!! Thank you for everything! UPDATE 7/7/2021: They have revived my DS Lite, and before I brought it in, the D-pad, and the left trigger barely worked at all, and they were amazing enough to not only completely replace the button itself, but also replace the worn out buttons, and Ive been using this on the go ever since! Extra super kudos to this awesome store, very highly recommend!!!

Been knowing about these guys for some years now. 1st time walking into their store today, had some old ps3 fames that Gamestop was paying cents to the dollar, and retro madness took them all in and put some money in my pocket. Jay was very helpful, and will definitely be going back to sell more stuff to them.

Was told to bring something in and seemed interested in it then made the drive out of my way to a place to be told they don t even want to see it cause they don t have a original Xbox to even test it what a waste of time would not recommend them and will never bother with them again simple communication would have be nice you would think any retro game store would have a OG Xbox to test something just my 2 cents

This place had a smaller selection of the figurines that I buy compared to other huge shops. However, they have far better prices than any other store Ive ever been in for the same quality of products. Ive bought about 5 figures from this store just because of how good the prices are and they are all perfect. Great place to shop for games, consoles, anime figures, star wars, marvel, ect. Helpful, kind staff and not hard to navigate the store. Definitely going back.

They took in one of my PS1 consoles for repair, and because they could not perform the repair, I was not charged anything, not even a diagnostic fee! They will go out of their way to help you, extremely patient and highly recommend them if you need to have a console looked at! Thank you!

They have a large verity of not just games and consoles but bobble heads. Star wars novelty, pokemon and much more. The best part is they will bargain with their prices. For instance I wanted this star wars chest and it was priced at $25 I asked if they would take $20 and he said yes. My motto is, it never hurts to ask! In fact it pays to ask!
