There are two chicken meals that is halal... Philly chicken sandwich and fried chicken sandwich. All the shrimp ad fish is halal. They can give you option straight away. Halal or not.

First let me say the customer service was wonderful.. But I was disappointed with my food. My tomatoes looked old. My livers were fried too long and everything was very soggy. I honestly think maybe it was time to change the grease or something. And they need to maybe poke holes on the containers that way it won t make the fried foods soggy!

Food was good with large portions. Oddly, they had run out of ketchup the first time went, but they had it the second time. The interior makes you feel like youre eating in a restaurant in a third world country, very odd, with boxes stacked up by the door as storage. There are black ceiling tiles, making the place appear gloomy. Very good prices.

I love the food here! So yummy! I have never been disappointed ! Edited. The comment above was 4 years ago the food was awesome. Now? I only get the salads. Everything else is a disappointment now. I used to love all the po boys and Philly cheese steak. The burgers used to be good as well. Not anymore it is so sad.

This place was highly recommended to me, because Im from New Orleans and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fish and shrimp! I have now visited Sams twice in Beaumont, TX...I have had the seafood FRIED and GRILLED. I can honestly say it is DELICIOUS, and its the closest taste to NOLA food that Ive ever experienced in TeXas. I truly ENJOYED every bite, it was SEASONED perfectly, the STRING BEANS are also cooked perfectly...and I APPRECIATED my plates being cooked FRESH to order.

This is our first time at this location. We eat at the one in Nacogdoches regularly. The staff could use a lesson from the Nacogdoches folk as to making customers feel welcome and simple customer service. The atmosphere is dark and the floors were sticky. The food was fabulous but the overall experience was so poor we will stick with the location in Nacogdoches.

Sams southern eatery is affordable and oh so yummy! Their specials are so affordable and there are around 4-5 specials that all sound really good. I got the 2 fish and 3 shrimp special and everything was fried well and well seasoned. My sides were French fries and red beans and rice. The red beans and rice were okay. And the French fries were fried well and seasoned well. I would also recommend the special chicken strips and the fried okra! Those were delish as well! :)

I had ordered 2 items yesterday for Lunch from their online menu. A double meat burger with no onions and no pickles and some gumbo. When my coworkers get there they tell me they don t have any gumbo so they ask to exchange that item. They exchanged it for a single meat burger with onions and pickles and never gave me the original double meat burger I ordered. Thank you Sams for having me pay 26$ for something I didn t want.

Went in for lunch on a Friday. Despite it being busy we got our food fairly quickly. Place is pretty small so we ended up taking our food to go because there wasnt anyplace to sit. Seating area is very no frills, but this places magic isnt the atmosphere...its the food. I ordered the Fried Fish PoBoy with an order of Fried green tomatoes. It was delicious! Hands down one of the best poboys I have had. The Fried green tomatoes were the highlight though...its not a common find and when you do its usually mush. Not here. Outstanding!

Ordered the Philly, mozzarella sticks, kids nuggets, and a combination plate with 3 Stuffed shrimp-3 Fried catfish-3 fried shrimp-French fries and Red beans and rice - IT WAS ALL AMAZING I had enough food for 3 adults and 3 girls and everyone got to have a taste of everything Not to mention the service was awesome, I called in the order from Dowlen and by the time I got to the College St. location everything was bagged and ready to go. You can t hardly find a chicken place that offers gizzards and livers let alone a restaurant that knows how to make them- but this place makes their food like they love you! Everything my family ate from the okra and livers to the shrimp, chicken & fish was PERFECT. Try the fried green tomatoes! You ll be glad you did. Seating is limited, but they serve generous portions in takeaway boxes. A new family favorite place for us. Sam, you have great people working for you! They re doing excellent work and are worthy to be praised. Parking: We went earlier and got a space right in front of the restaurant.

I ordered a #32 which is 3 chicken strips, 3 shrimp & 3 fish and I cant say which I liked more over the other as they all tasted so fresh and delicious! The shrimp were plump and juicy, the chicken was seasoned just right and the fish went so well with their one of a kind tartar sauce! The quantity and quality are worth the price and then some! The staff was friendly and brought my food out quickly. The interior was clean and they had the Hallmark channel on which was a nice touch! Ill definitely be returning

I ordered a grilled chicken salad but luckly I was given the fried chicken salad instead, it was much better than I expected... very savory and tasty, plus a huge serving that can enjoyed at more than one sitting... unless you have a huge appetite... Vegetarian options: I did change my options on my salad , if you like tell them to exclude the meat... the great mix of veggies is very filling, from cucumbers to onion...

They serve a big variety from healthy, grilled to fried. My favorite for my family is the Poboys and Fried jumbo shrimp. The sides are also great. They have various options and we often get the mac and cheese, fries, fried okra or green beans. Weve never been disappointed. The food is always hot and flavorful.
