Ahh, another Flyoyds visit. I have been coming here since it was Dons. I look forward and experience the welcoming atmosphere. Always pleasantly greeted at the door. Today Ashley served the blackened catfish with twice baked potato. Absolutely the best blackened catfish anywhere! The service never disappoints. Ashley is the very definition of professionalism and personal service. Floyds and Ashley, always a wonderful experience! Back again and always! Always consistently the best in town! We found a new favorite place to eat. The calamari was the best we had ever tasted. The seafood was good and the salad was fresh. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Our waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Floyds is the one restaurant I always plan to visit when Im in the Houston area. I love everything Ive tried at Floyds but my favorite is the crawfish bisque. I sat at the bar because I was alone. The place is a bit run down but I like places like that as long as it is clean and it was from what I saw. The bar staff were very friendly. Mostly locals around a huge bar. I ate 1/2 order of baked oysters which costs $18.99, a whiskey sour, $14.00 and a Lone Star Beer, $4.75 and sautéed spinach. The spinach was the best part because when you are traveling you need to squeeze in your veggies and they were fresh. Total without tip, $45.73. I was told this wasnt a chain by my hotel but the menu showed 6 locations. It wouldnt be your worst choice but it also isnt a must.

Ive had people telling me to go here for a while. Apparently, its a Beaumont institution. Makes sense. Our server did his best given what he had to work with. I use the old fashioned as a measuring line for the bar staff as its fool-proof. It was unstirred and disappointing. Switched to a long island. It was made from a bottled mix. The crab stuffed jalapenos had shell fragments in the first three, and none of them had much of a crab flavor. My wifes entree was buried under a sickly-sweet cream sauce. I got the 1855 ribeye. Temp was correct and flavor was alright. The grilled shrimp I asked for with the steak were severely over-cooked, dry, chewy, and over-salted. For some reason he floors throughout the place were slippery. When asked about dessert we politely asked for the check and quickly left.

I had the Shrimp Pesto Penne. It was amazing!! The blackened jumbo shrimp with asparagus slices and yellow bell pepper strips added more texture and flavor, and I had enough to bring home for another meal! We were very happy with the cost of our meals as well! Service was good as well.

Great seafood and nonseafood options. I had the fried catfish with fries. Cooked perfectly and came to the table hot and fresh. Its definitely a place to go to. If you dont like seafood, they do have some options for you. For appetizer, try their stuffed peppers. The wait staff is friendly and patient. It also didnt take long to get seated. This was my first time back since about 2020. I am not sure why, maybe because of all the construction on the feeder road out front, but there were only about 15 people in the entire restaurant for dinner and I thought that was strange. The service was great. However, the prices appeared to have increased by at least 50% since my last visit, the portions seemed to have shrunk, and the food quality was just ok. I dont think Ill be eager to return any time soon unfortunately.

Floyds is always a great experience to gather with friends and family to enjoy great food and drinks. Ive hosted many celebrations such as baby showers and birthday parties. My last visit was no different. I enjoyed a rib eye steak with a loaded bake potato and their dirty rice! I sipped on a their popular hurricane Floyd cocktail! Service was great! I have been here many times in the past few years ,but this time the food was not great. Everyone at our table had to add salt/seasoning to their meal. But the garlic bread had too much salt. My boiled shrimp was harder to peel than normal. The 1 boiled potato that I added was not soft on the inside and had no seasoning on it. I was so excited to get some of Floyds food on this trip back to Texas... but I sadly was disappointed.

My husband and I spent $150 at Floyds tonight. I got marinated crab claws that were so tiny it was pointless for $21. Also got the steamed boil platter for $50 but they boiled it too long because the shrimp were mushy, the crab and crawfish were really hard to get out of the shell and the meat kept breaking apart. Gumbo wasnt seasoned well and overall we paid too much for subpar food.

Hello to the one that s reading this. Me and my wife had heard about this place from the people we work with. Everyone said that it s good food and good energy. They were right about the energy part but food not so much. I started off ordering the spinach dip because I love spinach dip and it said it had crab meat in it as well, so I was like oh yeah I got to try that. Well let s just say I was highly disappointed in it. It didn t have any seasoning and it tasted more greasy than anything else. The chips that came with it were very hard if you have weak teeth don t eat them because one of your teeth is going to pop out. My wife had the fried green tomatoes and said it was ok but not what everyone said it would be. I didn t try anything else so it might ve just been what I decided to pick. Ultimately this place could be a hit and miss depending on what you order.

Can t say anything about their lunch or dinner menu. Came here for happy hour with a friend and we had a great time catching up and munching on their fresh oysters and pickles. The happy hour menu is super reasonable! Yesterday we visited Floyd s for a friend s birthday celebration. The party was for 30+ people. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean, but I was shocked that only one waiter was assigned to our tables. I will give props to the waiter Lino for being very efficient and kind overall it seems everyone was happy. Here is me and my husband s issue. There should have at least been two waiters assigned for a party that large. There was a very long wait between the drink orders and food orders. As a suggestion perhaps waiter Lino could have taken the orders of one table ran them back to kitchen and then continued. This way food would have been constantly prepared and constantly delivered. My husband enjoyed his fried flounder and sautéed spinach. I had the half and half (shrimp etouffee and 6 fried shrimps). The shrimp were good, warm and tasty. However, the shrimp etouffee with rice was less than lukewarm. I literally took two bites and ask for a container to take food home. I think most of the party got full on bread and drinks. I was surprised that all the food arrived at the same time with several team waiter/waitresses delivering the food to the table. At least that offset some of the long wait time. We were seated at 4:15PM, food was delivered at 5:45PM. Maybe that is customary for a party that size but seemed long.

Went here 2days in a row. Good south Texas type seafood. This isn t the Oceanaire but they did a great job with the shrimp embrouche (shrimp wrapped in bacon) their Cesar salad was on point. Theraw oysters and wings at happy hour were delicious and so was the fried catfish dinner. Seafood gumbo had a really good roux base . Will go back when in the area.

Floyds was recommended by several of the locals, and Im glad I tried it. They have an impressive selection of cajun, seafood, and bar food. The oysters are fresh and delicious. The poboy was giant and filled with catfish and crawfish. It was so good I had to get a couple of items to go, and they were very generous with the portions when I ordered the cup sizes to go. The service was friendly and professional, and they have a nice atmosphere. This place is worth every penny.
