My mom went to this restaurant Saturday about 1 pm sitting far right side with one of her friends and after eating they paid their bill and even left a $20 tip for the ungrateful waiter that could barely speak English that ran out after them saying that he needed more money. Check your staff before they try the right person. You dont run after people that have already paid and left a good tip.

Absolutely wonderful everything! Despite being packed, we ordered and got our drinks, chips and salsa within minutes. Placed our order, and our food came out fast. I can t say how long it took, but everything was hot and great!

I recently visited La Cantina in Lufkin, Texas, with a large group during a busy time, and I was so impressed by how accommodating the staff was! Despite the rush, they made sure we were seated comfortably and taken care of promptly. The service was exceptional, and to top it off, they had my favorite Topo Chico with limes in stock, which made the experience even better. It s always great to find a place that can handle a big crowd without compromising on quality service. I ll definitely be coming back! Kid-friendliness: Great for groups and kids

I recently visited LA Cantina to celebrate my birthday with my family, and while the food left a lasting impression, the service did not quite meet the mark. The shrimp enchiladas were absolutely delicious, showcasing the chefs excellent culinary skills. Each bite was flavorful, and it was clear that great care was put into the preparation. However, the service could use some improvement. Unfortunately, my stepdad didnt receive a refill on his drink, despite our attempts to catch the waiters attention. By the time we finally managed to get his attention, we had already finished our meal, and the waiters attitude was noticeably poor. This dampened what could have been a perfect dining experience. LA Cantina has a lot of potential with its delicious food, but addressing these service issues would significantly enhance the overall experience for diners. I hope to see improvements in this area during my next visit.

This Beaumont Mexican restaurant is great! Portion size is good, taste is good, prices are a little high, but they have lunch specials throughout the week. Looks are deceiving, the outside looks small, but believe me, there is space. The servers are super fast and replenish your beverage at an amazing speed. I get flabbergasted at their accuracy as they carry extremely heavy plates and drink orders, with their fingertips. I like to watch them do all of these acrobatics! To top it off, as you leave they have a free ice cream machine by the door. Excellent place l!

This restaurant is very quaint, with excellent service but the food is not great. Im not sure why their food is topped with American cheese shreds instead of cheddar; Ive never had this at other Mexican food establishments. I think they give generous portion servings, but if the food is bland it really doesnt matter. The guacamole had a very off taste. In my opinion, its like Taco Bell but costs 3x as much. Our 2 person LUNCH was $32 that included a sprite and tea. The sprite was $3.50. A high end seafood establishment here in Beaumont doesnt charge that for drinks.

Normally a great experience. This visit however, it took forever to get our food and it was not that busy. I had to ask for a drink refill. The noise level was outrageous. A little too much alcohol for one group. Additionally we got to watch the server that did such a poor job, count his tips rather than tending to his customers. My girl had a problem because she wanted fish and I did not really serve much fish there at all. She talked to the waiter and we had assumed that he knew what we were talking about. They need to paint the curb stops, particularly the one right in the front door, safety yellow. They are black and appear to have in the past had yellow strips but these strips are gone. It is a dangerous tripping hazard. My mother-in-law tripped over the black curb and hit her face on the pavement. All curb stops should be painted safety yellow immediately!!

Whenever I go I always get the big Grande burrito and Mom get the enchiladas. We get chips and salsa and order a large bowl of Queso. We usually have coke or tea and occasionally Mom will have a frozen Margherita. Sometimes we go together and sometimes I go on my own. Everything was ok, no complaints on food or service. One in my group said the steak tacos were excellent; so I may go back and give those a try. Reply to the owners comment: Maybe try reworking some of the menu items that youre not getting great reviews on. I had the tamale lunch plate. It was ok. First time eating here and Im not impressed. Food is very bland, no flavor, no seasoning. We got the Polo Loco, it had wayyy too much cheese and very greasy. Tried the house frozen margarita and ewwwfff not one hint of lime, the margarita was white and no flavor at all. My first margarita in all my years that I sent back. The waiter (his name started w/a T) was friendly, didnt bring us a glass of water the entire time we were there, spoke broken English and it wasnt good. Fernando the bus boy was very nice and so helpful, spoke broken English, but we could understand him. This establishment was very clean and atmosphere was great. You can get an ice cream cone on your way out and that tasted as it should. If you want bland food with no flavor this is your place. Go next door better tasting food and margaritas!!! My husband and I ate here a couple weeks back because we were In the area. And we re still talking about about how amazing the service was till this day. Our waiter was extremely attentive without being over bearing. The table side Guac was absolutely delicious. My husband had fajitas and they were great. I had the Pollo Loco, and they re the best I ve had at a restaurant. The grilled veggies were delicious and the grilled onions were actually grilled with a slight char to them. Delicious!! And the Chipotle Potatoes, they were absolutely amazing. The only thing I would say was the elote was okay, definitely needs some tweaks. But back to our waiter. Because of how amazing his service was he made our meal just that much better. Definitely top notch fine dining wait staff feels. The whole staff was constantly moving and bringing food out with steam coming off of it. We ll definitely be driving back to Beaumont just to eat here.
