So tried yesterday for the 1st time and promptly returned today for the second. Service is wonderful and the food is even better! Margaritas are really good, chicken street tacos are really good, quesadillas are really good, chimichanga is really good. Will have to agree with some reviews in regards to the salsa. It could use an update for sure, But the queso blanco and salsa verde makes up for it.

The tables and chairs were torn up, and the restaurant smelled funny. We were so shocked that the salsa tasted like warm tomato soup. I did not eat it because it was so weird. I would not recommend.

Every time I go is a great experience! Everyone is so friendly, and they know what theyre talking about when you ask a question about anything on the menu. Honestly, Ive only tried a couple of their dishes because I love the mole enchiladas so much. I get that every time I go! My daughter is usually the one that comes with me, and she gets different items . She has never complained, and shes a picky eater! So that says a lot right there! Just an update.......still awesome!!

We waited an hour for our food, and our order was 2 bowls of menudo, which should have been ready to just serve up and some tacos that the meat was chopped all different sizes all over the place, so food that doesnt take that long to prepare. There were like 3 or 4 tables of people there, so I would think not THAT busy. Will never go back.

My Cinco de Mayo visit to Casa Tapatia was surprising in a number of ways. The salsa had a uniquely good flavor and texture. The beef fajitas were extraordinarily tender with onions & peppers fully cooked, the way they are best served. The pico de gallo was the freshest of any in this area. Next time I will try the menudo and tamales. Parking: Excellent parking accommodations with access from the Laurel Street. No need to drive onto the freeway service road and a surplus of parking at all times.

We re extremely disappointed with the food. The fajita was good in my food and the nachos, I didn t even get to take pics of. We have been traveling all day from Florida and were eager to eat some good food. They forgot to add 2 of our kids plates, which I m glad because it was definitely not worth the $140 we spent. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars, it s the reason we decided to stop here. Of all the plates mine and my husbands was ok. But my tortillas are very hard, I m breaking it apart to eat it with my food

We went for lunch around noon, they werent too busy and we were seated right away. The service was good but the food was subpar. The salsa tasted like it was watered down- it was more like tomato soup basically. The carnitas were bland, no flavor, and dry. Same with the rice. The queso seemed like it had been stretched with like milk cause even its consistency was questionable with its tomato chunks. We were very displeased with the food. Maybe that was an off day for them, I dont know.

We used to eat here once a month when it was a BBQ buffet restaurant 20 years ago. But with the flood of mexican restaurants in town, couldn t see the need for it. My wife had another of her cravings and called several places to see who had it. This place popped up. Was able to get the same parking spot as 20 years ago, but the exterior just screams ghetto, and the interior is only worse. The service was slow and a bit inattentive, decor somewhat trashy, and menu lacking. Nevertheless we each found something to order, but couldn t finish. The chips were old/cold/greasy, so basically inedible. Salsa had too much cilantro (not good for my acid reflux). Not sure what s going on with mexican restaurants lately, but Geez Louise quit skimping on the rice! Quality and texture were not there, so chalking this up to another waste of time and money.

5-24-2023 - Awesome food. I suggest tableside guacamole. A taste like no other. California Burrito is delicious. Lots of meat from beginning to end of Burrito. Chicken has great grill taste with seasoning, no bland chicken for sure. Quesso is tasty. Hot salsa is warm in temperature and not too spicy. Chicken bruschetta was completely on point. We just found our new Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend!! - JM

The food and service was awesome. They have the best Queso Blanco. Everything including the salsa was delicious. Will definitely be going back! Vegetarian options: Have cheese enchiladas, plus many other dishes. Parking: About 10 spots along the side and large parking area in back. We had a trailer attached with furniture and it was all safe and sound. Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved her quesadilla and rice and beans. Smelled off when going inside, that was just the start. Chips were stale and chewy, we went in right at 11 when they opened so that wasnt right. I dont normally leave reviews but there were so many good ones that I convinced my husband to take me there on our way home from Louisiana. I had a salad. The ranch dressing was mostly (like 90%) mayonnaise and awful. The salad was fresh but the chicken fajita meat was cold and shredded like it came out of a can! I also ordered a chicken stuffed avocado. You could tell it had been frozen for a very long time and it was barely warm when I received it. Check my other reviews. I dont leave many! I do not recommend this place. It was also way overpriced for what we received. The chips and salsa were good thank God.

A Hidden gem in Beaumont. Quickly seated and greeted by our waiter. Our chips and Salsa came quickly and was refilled promptly. Salsa was warm and chips were not too hard. Queso was a hit and we ran through several trays of chips. We ordered a pitcher of top shelf half and half for a party of four and wouldnt have it any other way. The stuffed avocado was fantastic with a generous helping of rice and beans. Overall a fantastic experience and hope to return soon!

Weve frequented this place for years, and sadly Weve moved away, near the Houston area. We have been searching for a new Mexican restaurant that meets Casa Tapatias quality and havent found any place to compare. Today we went back after almost a year and they still remembered our orders and our favorite place to sit. The atmosphere is very family oriented and the staff is the most friendly and professional. We started with a warm red salsa... the flavor is quite unique and tasty. I asked for another with a bit more kick and was a green salsa. Not a lot more picante than the first but still a good taste. Our waiter was extremely helpful with the menu and gave me a heads up on one of favorites that he said theyll have around the holidays. My wife ordered Pollo Del Mar (grilled chicken with shrimp and a mushroom sauce)... judging by the fact that I didnt hear from her while she ate, it was delicious. I ordered Barbacoa Plate and it was the very best barbacoa I can remember eating!! Their guacamole was fantastic and I had to guard mine from my wifes fork which was constantly invading my plate. My wife also had a Patron Margarita which must have agreed with as I had to give her a hand in getting to the car. We are new to the area and we glad we found this after so many duds in the local area.

This place is the best Mexican restaurant in Beaumont!!! Our waiter Rogelio and the manager Hecter made me and my fiance feel so catered to. The food was so good. The donkey Kong burrito!!! Oh my lawd!!! It was so big for only $12.99. And the tacos were awesome!!! The margaritas were perfect!!!!
