The gardens today pale in comparison to years past. Gardens appear to receive no maintenance, no new plantings, and zero watering. Very disappointing, dead plants and weeds abound. The Beaumont CVB should remove it from its advertising. And please, remove the Rose Garden signage, 3 pathetic, decrepit rose bushes dont count.

Theres construction going around by the pond area. The pond looks green and has low levels of water. The greenery and the flowers are nice. The walkways and benches are also pretty.

I appreciate their love for botany, but the outdoor grounds seem pretty ordinary at this time, almost like someones backyard. The greenhouse or indoor tropical garden looks pretty cool, but it was closed by the time I arrived. I liked seeing the alligators at the cattail marsh better, tbh.

Private party going on at the events center on the grounds of the gardens. Totally obnoxious, noise code violation party that was an extreme distraction for the serenity of enjoying the time spent at the gardens. It was not a pleasant experience for the guests at the gardens. Saturday April 6, 2024 approximately time was 4:00 PM. Unacceptable. In addition it was chaperoned by The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office. Noise pollution that was uncalled for and should have been addressed, but was not.

The hours shown on Google maps isn t accurate for the botanical garden , it s closed on Sundays and open 10 to 1 on Saturday. I ve tried to go 2x on the weekend and haven t been able to go in the garden it s very annoying, wish they would update it online

Nice garden to walk through on a beautiful day. I was bummed the conservatory was closed, although it states online and at the door they were open Saturday from 10am-1pm. I arrived at 10:50am and the closed sign was on the door. The garden itself is nice and peaceful. You can walk your dogs as long as they are on a leash. Restrooms were at another building near the parking lot. Its great that it is free! The golf course nearby makes you feel not so alone, so dont worry if you see a golf cart speed by!

We went in the evening. It was nice and shaded. There were not many other guests at this time, which made the visit nice. The pond contained several turtles. Not all the flower/plant varieties were in bloom, but Im sure it would be nice when they are.

Beautiful flower garden with a small pond, and an indoor conservatory green house. The indoor part was closed today, I am not sure why, but it is usually open. Its a great place for pictures, picnics, and nice strolls. I would go late evening or early morning because right now it is 97 degrees with the heat index higher. But over all a very nice place to go

We had to hurry around the garden to avoid the rain. There was a lot of planting going on to repair damage done by a wild boar. The azaleas were amazing in theirbeauty and diversity. The conservatory was an absolute delight. Lots of bromeliads, orchids, and sculptures. If youre looking for a quiet walk to settle your senses, this is a wonderful place.
