His office staff is very friendly and they work quickly to make sure that you receive the care you need as quickly as possible! Dr.Buitrago is AMAZING! He came to the ER to see me during a gallbladder attack. He was very easy to talk to and made sure I knew exactly what was going on and what would be done. Even drew a picture showing me where the gallbladder is located and explained the function. The day of surgery he came in to make sure I didnt have any questions or concerns. After surgery he updated my husband and explained everything that took place. Follow up visit, he took his time to go over any questions/concerns that I have. Never making me feel like I was being rushed. I would definitely recommend Dr.B.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr B. From the start of my VSG until after. He has excellent bedside manners and actually cares about your well-being. I m really happy I switched to him from another Dr. I have zero regrets about the VSG. He explained everything from top to bottom. And his office staff is so amazing. Answered all my questions there were active in regards to getting the information I needed from the insurance. And they can be reached so easily. My husband had to have an emergency appendectomy. Dr. Buitrago was very detailed as to what was or could take place from the easiest to the most difficult process. Dr. Buitrago was recommended to me after a visit to the ER with gallstones. He got me in promptly and knew immediately I needed surgery. He treated me like a member of his family and went through what the entire surgery would look like he was patient with me and answered all my questions. She had been suffering from this for a good while not knowing that she had gall stones and infection, but I thank God for leading us to this doctor that would end up helping her. I m from Oklahoma. Down in LaPorte Tx working. I was at work having severe pain. The safety manager noticed I didn t look good. He took me to the urgent care. That s when I found that my appendix needed removed. After getting transferred to hospital. I was in surgery within two hours. Dr. Buitrago came in and went over everything that was going to take place. He made sure that I didn t have any questions. He came to dismiss me from the hospital, and went over all the after care I needed. He s been one of the best surgeon I have ever dealt with. Hes work speaks for its self. He was excellent. I had robotics hernia repair May 10 & actually another doctor was suppose to do it his partner but Dr Pena didnt do robotics. I also was getting hysterectomy done in same surgery by robotics and this doctor came in last minute to ask if I wanted to do robotics instead of open incision. I of course was scared but did it. It went great. My aftercare he was very nice and sat with you answered every question. Did not rush you out of his office and wanted you to be comfortable about your procedure and aftercare. I went to Houston Methodist Hospital in Baytown because I had gallstones and was in severe pain. Dr Buitrago is one of the best doctors. Dr. Buitrago was amazing. He was the first Dr willing to help. Had gallstone problems for 5 years and all other places just helped with the pain and would send me home. He finally gave me my permanent solution. He also made the process rather quickly knowing that I live out of town. He put a rush on my test to make sure I was healthy and no problems for me to travel. It was also a big plus that he was bilingual and able to communicate with my mom. I was very pleased to be in his care.

I am very thankful Dr. Buitrago was the surgeon on rotation when I had to have unexpected surgery. He is very thorough in his explanations and makes sure you know exactly what is going on. He was always available to answer any questions that came up. In the event that I have to have a scheduled surgery I would choose him again.

I had to have my gallbladder removed last week after a trip to the ER. Dr.Buitrago came in my room and explained everything, from the way the surgery would go to all the risk and possible complications in great detail that way I knew exactly what was going on. I greatly appreciated that. Surgery went great and recovery has been quick and easy. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Buitrago was my elderly mother s surgeon when she had to have her gallbladder removed with acute pancreatitis. He took such great care of her, explaining everything to her and the family. She is very happy with how he took such great care of her, his very calm and comforting personality, and felt very lucky that he was here to take care of her when she was in need. He is very highly recommended.

I had my appendix remove last week. First time to meet Doctor Buitrago. He explained the surgery step by step. He visited my room more than the nurses did. In my words he is just a great person, down to earth. If you have to have any surgery I recommend Doctor Buitrago. He really cares about his patients. You just dont see that much anymore.

Needless to say, he saved my life!! My gallbladder was at the point of bursting. I had been to the ER at least 5x over 4 years with major stomach pain and was sent home. Once the Dr. Buitrago read my results he knew there was something seriously wrong. He has A-1 bedside manner, which is rare nowadays. He also took the time to fully explain the procedure to me and then to my family the next day, which they were very happy with. I highly recommend him to anyone and will reccomend him to friends and family with any issues. Thank you Dr. Buitrago for saving me!!

Dr. Buitrago performed a complicated emergency surgery with risky outcome when my husbands appendix ruptured. Dr. Buitrago was at the hospital upon ambulance arrival and in surgery within an hour. Dr. Buitrago provided detailed technical explanation of the surgery and options, as well as potential complications and risks. The information Buitrago provided was easy to understand, and in such detail that even as technical professionals, we had no remaining questions upon completion of Dr. Buitragos explanations. The surgical outcome was great, as was Dr. Buitragos availability for questions at all times and his twice daily visits to my husband during the 8 days of surgical recovery at the hospital. We would highly recommend Dr. Buitrago as surgeon to anyone who has high standards and expectations for the most skillful surgery and professional care, as well as for receiving comprehensive communications and diligently available post-surgical monitoring and care. Dr. Buitrago was very professional and compassionate in the event that I had. He was never in such a hurry to leave that he did not fully explain the situation I was in and what my options were. I had recent surgery done by Dr. Buitrago. My family and I were very impressed with his impeccable bedside manner and professionalism. He took the time to explain and discuss things with us especially pre and post-op plans. He made me feel I was in safe hands prior to surgery. He also took the time to answer all my questions and was never in a hurry to get out of the room. Overall, Dr. Buitrago took excellent care of me and If I had to have surgery again (God forbid), he would definitely be number 1 on my list of surgeons.
