Our daughter was married at The Allan House in May. What a fantastic venue for a wedding. So much charm in the house - each room was great! The outside area was perfect for the ceremony and reception. We highly recommend The Allan House for any event, especially weddings! Thank you!

I had the pleasure of hosting my baby shower at The Allan House recently, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the start of the inquiry process, to the day of, the Allan House team were prompt with their replies, helpful with my questions throughout and incredibly attentive to the details. Guests raved about the space, and it was the perfect setting to bring my vision to life. Thank you to Juliana, Alex and Logen for being so easy to work with. 10/10 recommend this venue!

We got married at The Allan House in early March and it was a DREAM! The clear tent was up and I ll admit I was nervous about it, but it turned out beautiful! The staff made sure the day turned out perfectly and the grounds were the perfect setting for our day. We wanted the feel of a backyard/garden wedding at an estate and that is exactly what we got. One of the best parts was the reaction from each of our vendors when we told them The Allan House was our venue. They were all very comfortable with the venue and knew it well, which made things super easy on my planner and me! Our day went off without a hitch and we got SO many compliments on how beautiful and intimate the venue was. The staff at The Allan House was easy to work with and very responsive. 10/10!!!

Having our wedding at The Allan House was one of the best decisions we made in terms of wedding planning. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and they have been in the business long enough that all our vendors were familiar and comfortable with working with them. The price point was affordable and honestly the venue itself looked so classy and elegant people probably thought we spent even more. I cannot recommend The Allan House enough. Fantastic place to get married!

We had a wonderful experience getting married here in December of 2023. Julianna is SO sweet, helpful, and fun to converse with! This place looked like an absolute dream on our wedding day. I couldnt have asked for more. Bridal suite was plenty of room for the girls and moms to get ready. Groom and groomsmen were all in the basement/outside. Wonderful location. Beautiful house. BEAUTIFUL courtyard and outdoor space. We had our ceremony and reception under the winter tent outside and it was absolute magic. It was honestly perfect and you definitely cant do much better price wise these days.

Definitely consider Allan House as the location for your next big event. We chose Allan House as our wedding venue and couldnt have chosen a better spot for our celebration. The venue speaks for itself in its ambiance, historic setting, and beautiful courtyards. Juliana was very easy to work with. They have a list of pre-approved vendors which was very helpful in avoiding the analysis paralysis that easily comes with building the right team of vendors to host an event. Our guests loved the wedding and the venue and found themselves easily floating around each of the beautiful pockets inside this gorgeous house. One careful thing to note is parking. The parking lot directly bordering Allan house on the backside of the venue is owned by someone that is aggressively waiting to capitalize on unsuspecting event attendees. A dedicated parking place or a map on the website for best possible locations to park would be a helpful fix for this.

Great location, and popular for small to medium sized weddings. My daughter wanted an outdoor wedding ceremony and the patio here is perfect for 100 - 125 guests! Also considering they have chairs, tables and bars/band gazebo and even some strings lights in place, it was affordable luxury. Grooms suite was perfectly apart from the bridal area, so we were all able to get ready and do photo shoots here, prior to ceremony and guest arrival. The view is nice from the balcony for guests, and vendors are in the know , so less to worry about all around. We did the flip to sit down reception, while guests were upstairs for cocktails/apps and it was a smooth transition. Pleasantly surprised. Thanks to Julianna for a wonderful event!

The Allan House was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding celebration! The premises are absolutely breathtaking - the perfect setting for our classic-with-a-modern-twist wedding aesthetic. The venue staff was fantastic to work with - Juliana was quick to answer any questions I had and was very helpful and friendly. The Allan Houses preferred vendor list was essentially a wedding planning Bible - they have strong relationships with fantastic vendors at a range of price points to help guide you in planning your event. This venue is also very fairly priced for downtown Austin, and worth every penny! I cant recommend this venue enough!!

Not horrible, not great. My contract said I d have a security guard, yet the night of my wedding there wasn t one. I didn t meet the on site manager until clean up was happening and I was looking for her before the wedding because I had a question: wanted to know where the signage was for the bridal suite was so that guest would stop coming into the bridal suite for the bathroom. They said they would place that sign when I did my walk through, yet the sign wasn t there and staff was unavailable the night of my wedding. Also, I didn t notice during walk through that there would be a fire extinguisher in every one of my photos of walking down the aisle. Poor placement! The setting is gorgeous and we chose this venue due to close proximity of our condo downtown. In retrospect, I wish we held it somewhere else. I feel like they play favorites and for whatever reason, we were not a respected paying customer.

What a beautiful venue! It was the storybook wedding of your dreams. Gorgeous windows inside & the wrap around balcony was surrounded by ancient lighted oak trees... where the stars peeked through to show their approval. All was decked out in lace, linen and flowers, The Allan was the perfect venue for the wedding. From the caterer to the flowers & decor the Allan House was her grand self yet again! The food by PEJ was absolutely delicious, no better choice for an elegant Texas wedding! And the cakes by Paiges Bakehouse,... were yet another delight, never more perfect visually or when they melted in your mouth! (And the flavors of the mini cakes were a delight for the senses again!) Seeing the bride ushered in, thru the beautifully lighted oak trees, to the patio with crystal chandeliers above...to lite her way... the patio was a moment to always remember. All the stairs/steps need work, as does the entire patio floor...but where theres DJJ Mendez turning tunes...who can not dance?!!! It was a night we will always remember! Made even more perfect, by being held in the grand Allan House.

The most dreamy downtown Austin wedding venue! We were married here in early December 2021 and had the most perfect day. Juliana helped with every question we had, the space was exactly what we imagined, and our guests couldnt stop talking about how magical everything was. With the December booking, we received the Winter Tent free of charge and it was perfectly temperature controlled. We had 150 guests and they all fit with some room to spare. This venue is easy to access from any hotel downtown and has ample parking included if needed at a nearby lot. Highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a central Austin location without the crazy downtown pricing. 10/10!

My husband and I started our venue search in the middle of Covid - so many venues were booking quickly due to couples rescheduling to 2021, and others were closing down due to not having business in 2020. We were so lucky to be able to snag a date at The Allan House. Julianna was able to host a virtual tour with us and my parents and then show us around in person after. She was so on top of providing answers to any questions we had and keeping in touch regarding dates we were interested in. The venue has the charm of a historic venue, but youre in the heart of downtown Austin, which we both really wanted. We also liked that we could use a caterer of our choice. The venue is BEAUTIFUL with the large oak trees and wraparound porch. We could not have asked for more, and the team was all-star on top of it all.

When searching for wedding venues, my husband and made plans to tour some locations to help us decide where we wanted to go (pre-pandemic). Once we arrived, walked around, and talked to Julianna (wedding planning binder in hand) we just loved the place. It was our first stop and nothing beat it! Settling on a date, and understanding the plethora of rentals included (tables and chairs for 150+ guests) just made the decision that much easier! Juliana was so warm and kind, and worked seamlessly with our coordinator (Mockingbird Lane Events-truly another amazing wedding must-have!) When we requested an additional half-hour for our catering staff, the transaction was quick and reasonable. Getting married during a global pandemic is sure to cause some headaches, but there was never any issues with communication with Juliana and ensuring we moved forward. My father even contacted her over a year ahead of time to help with research for hotels since majority of our guests were from out of town. She provided a list and professional suggestions about what was worth our time and energy. The Allan House was absolutely perfect for our quiet, classic yet laid back style of wedding. This backdrop made all of our guests look even more stunning, and the tree lit up at night was gorgeous. Highly suggest The Allan House. You cant go wrong with a beautiful and historic home for your weddings or party needs! Photos by: Two Pair Photography

I would give The Allan House 4.5 stars. It is a beautiful venue in downtown Austin. Parking is easy for a smaller wedding. The outdoor courtyard and beautiful overhanging tree is beautiful for a wedding. There is a bridal suite on the main floor, and a grooms suite in the basement. 1/4 star knocked off because the bridal suite was not the best for makeup application. I think most brides get ready in another location, but since all of my bridesmaids were traveling into town I wanted us all in the same place and not have to lug our things across town. The bridal suite consists of a bathroom, couch/seating area and what looks to be a dining area near the front. The HMUA found that the only room with good light was the front dining room, which made it so that guests could see us all getting ready upon entering. The price does include many rentals of which we used bistro tables for cocktail hour, and the round tables and matching chairs for the ceremony and reception. It is a popular venue in Austin, so many of our vendors were already familiar with the place which made things run smoothly. I knock off another 1/4 star rating due to price. I booked the Allan House after cancelling my overseas wedding. There was a great discount for a few months, and we decided to book. There was a second wave happening in Austin, so we decided to postpone by a few months. While they were easy to work with, they were also quick to add additional charges on top of the deposit already paid to reschedule. An additional charge for postponing during a global pandemic? I would have hoped they would be more flexible to peoples need to postpone due to a rise in cases.

Dont get me wrong, The Allan House is gorgeous! That is why it gets one star. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and both my and my partners job loss because of it, we had to cancel our wedding. Several of our guests have also lost their jobs, and would not be able attend the wedding also. However, even through an international pandemic, we are not able to get a refund of our 50% deposit from the venue (even though we cancelled several months ahead of the wedding). It would be nice for a business to have some grace through such a hard time, much like our other vendors, but The Allan House does not. I would not recommend this venue.

One of my good friends had a wedding booked for June 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic they are forced to reschedule because majority of their family and friends live out of state and can not travel. This business not only gave them a hard time about rescheduling but is charging them extra money to postpone the wedding although they have already paid for the venue for June 2020. And are refusing a refund as Texas plans to be opening back up although many other states are not. I find it disgusting that a company small business or not would take advantage of a couple that already has to push back their wedding in this way!

We went on a tour then came back the next day for an open house, we did not visit anywhere else because we were in love. The allan house has a perfect location in the middle of austin and makes you feel like you are in the hill country. they have a lovely entrance space that open up into an huge open porch then descends into a grand court yard. The lighting seems to be perfect at all times. the courtyard has large treas that bow over it adding life in contrast to the limestone paving. The staff are friendly and work with you as timelines and the weather changes. I am so lucky to have had our wedding here and know you will feel the same once you visit.

The website is deceiving. I swore I was going to have my wedding here. But the house is worn down, the venue is very small, the customer service is subpar and its over priced for what theyre offering and there are WAY to many rules. I wouldnt recommend

This is a great venue for a wedding. Its also close enough to downtown to have a pedicab take the Bride and Groom and wedding guests back to their hotels.

Wonderful venue for a special event. We attended a wedding and reception and it was wonderful! The huge trees and old home really provide an elegant backdrop for any event.

Our daughters wedding was there April 2016. From the planning to the actual day-every detail was taken care of. Our manager on duty was amazing, worked so well with our coordinator, this mom of the bride was truly able to enjoy the evening. Even with the rain, the tent was beautiful with the chandeliers among the impressive lighted oak trees-magical and exactly what the couple imagined!

This victorian house is a hidden gem in busy downtown Austin. This is one of my favorite event and wedding venues in Austin. The backyard/outdoor area allows you to be creative. The lanterns really set the event to be romantic and cozy, even in a warm Texas evening.

We first visited The Allan House as a choice for my daughters wedding reception. Once there; however, my daughter and I fell in love with the house and the courtyard and felt it would be perfect for both the ceremony and reception. Her wedding was in December and we were told about the clear heated tent that would cover the courtyard. We could not have imagined how GRAND this tent was! It truly transformed the courtyard into an outdoor room. We loved that we could choose our own caterer and other vendors. Everything came together just perfectly. Everything about this venue is lovely and we continue to get compliments on what a perfect setting it was!

A beautiful old white house with a flowered lawn used for weddings and other such events - sans matrimony, get on their list as they throw a great party.

Attended a wedding here and it was beautiful. There were approx 75 people there. The setting made for a gorgeous backdrop. The actual wedding was outside under the tree. Cocktail hour was great. Wine and beer were offered. The waitstaff from the Allan House were very gracious and friendly. Tables were arranged effortlessly during cocktail hour in time for dinner. Outdoors was just as gorgeous in the evening with the white lights on the trees. The actual house is classic with an antique feeling. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
