Brooke & Sylvia are the cutest and best bartenders at play! They greeted me with a smile at the bar right away & both made sure I was taken care of, regardless of how busy they got. They are the reasons I ll be coming back!!

Came in tonight with a group of my girls and went to bar to grab bottle service and admittedly Brooke and Silvia helped us very vast and great service . Never left us unattended and kept checking on us if we needed anything . Great atmosphere and great staff ! I ll definitely be returning to this establishment due to these ladies thank you !!!

Update: I must admit my first review of this place was due to a very bad experience which likely was due to the chaos and how busy they were so maybe some miscommunication added to that. After speaking to the owner personally, I feel a lot better about trying this place again for a celebration or at a minimum drinks. No excuses were made, just good old falling on his sword and I can appreciate that. Makes sense because the employees that did help me were great, just overwhelmed. Thanks again for making this right.

Separated me and my girl and security wouldnt let me in with my cigars.. I wasnt going to smoke them inside. Trash establishment so many other places to go.

I work on 6th, this bar is awful. It attracts the most grimy people. They check some people for guns at the door and some they dont. The owners and bartenders condone the use and sale of cocaine by patrons. They always have fights and cops outside. I can think of 20 bars way better, drinks are gross, fruit flys in liquor bottles, floor is sticky from puke, they over ring tickets and overcharge credit cards. Pretty much the opposite of upscale. Wish they d go out of business and someone open a nice whiskey and cigar bar. Maybe enforce a dress code and stop openly letting criminal activities occur. APD should def raid this place, they d easily get a dozen drug dealers any given night. Ownership, your bar is bringing down the whole neighborhood. Please close.

I am tired of being harassed, I am tired to be oppressed, I am tired of being reprimanded, I am tired of being bullied, I am tired of being discriminated against. Those are all feelings you project on me when I get into this club, ironically as Im speaking as a person of color. Its outrageous Ive got to put up with someones subjective mood to let me through or not. I did nothing wrong, nothing and I repeat nothing. Now Ill have to figure out exactly whats going on because I am not accepting any of this behavior until now. I am not the type of guy to shame on peeps but this is uttermost offensive and abusive conduct !

As a person thats problemless and minds his business, I have Come to realize how offensive some of your doormen claim themselves to be. Ive been on the line multiple times to get in the PLAY club but for some subjective reason it seems like the security guy dont want to. Yesterday (12/10) there was an entire line of white girls wanting to get in behind me, I vouched for them and for one reason or another, without even me knowing them, the guy decided that we were ALL OUT. I am tired with this and I cant put up with this anymore. yall need actual talking with your lad with your lad. I dont mean anything bad and the reason Im insisting is because Im starting to see biases and entitlement getting into the way of people enjoyment. And I am furiously against that approach. I would like things to be reconsidered and give all an hiatus. Youre making people hate with the way youre conducting rn.

SCAMMER BARTENDERS AND MANAGER: DANIEL - They double charged me! PAY CASH ONLY HERE- It has XTC cabaret stripclub vibes (They check you for guns and weapons at the door). The female bartender pocketed the cash I gave her then charged my wife s card after we said we were closing our tab in cash and paid the girl cash . I talked to the manager Daniel within 12 hours of the transaction waited 7 days to see if it would be refunded and nothing changed and still no reply from business owners or an actual manager. I will be reporting to my bank as fraud. I even put a fat cash tip in their jar right under the camera and talked to a manager and told him to check the cameras if he needed proof I was scammed by the bartender. This is just ridiculous. They just lost my whole groups business. If any business owner wants to resolve this feel free to contact me! Would love to hear a reply from Daniel s boss. It ain t right to scam your customers and someone eventually will see there s a problem if enough people comment. Contact me for date/time of incident and proof of charges and my interaction with Daniel. Or just look at all the 1* reviews of people who are getting double charged with no reply from the business owner.

One of the best places on West 6th! Awesome music selection & keeps you dancing all the time. Bartenders are super nice and polite (not everyone is like this in Austin). Bouncers are great. Really good atmosphere!

We came here on a bachelorette party and Mike, the GM gave us top notch service. We got bottle service and the service was unmatched. Highly recommend for a fun night out. Kassidy was also our waitress, and she was top notch as well. Treated everyone incredibly and was super on top of serving us. Really appreciated their service and the vibes/DJ. Was hands down the highlight of our weekend!

My friends and I were in Austin for a bachelorette party and we went out last night. Really quick into our bar crawl my heel BROKE. I was trying to walk with a broken heel and try to find a way to get shoes out to 6th street at midnight. Madison greeted us at the door, asked what was wrong, invited us in for bottle service, gave us gorilla glue and GAVE ME A PAIR OF HER SHOES. I wouldn t even call that good customer service, I think Play just has genuine and kind humans who work there. Madison seriously saved our night and we had fun while she was doing it!! Amazing music, great champagne, and most importantly, kind humans. I cannot recommend enough stopping by Play on your 6th street adventures. I promise it will be a great time!!
