I ve been to Lutie s a few times now. The grounds are incredible and the ambience is very charming. Last time we came, the food was pretty good, nothing spectacular but loved the ambience. So it was a good 4/5. The menu looked fairly different from the last time we came. They added new cocktails and added new high end fish. With new offerings, I was excited to see the food also increasing in tastes and quality. Unfortunately, that was not the case The crudo had a lot of weird cuts and very dense fatty/chewy pieces of fish. I ll give this a 1/5. The seared bluefin and caviar started really strong. The first bite was delicious and good flavors. But the 2nd piece I had was the fishiest piece of fish I ve had since my All You Can Eat sushi days. It was by far the worst piece of fish I ve had in Austin to date. I m giving this a 0/5. The green dish was very nice. Good flavors, no complaints. I ll give this a 4/5. The estate bread is probably the best piece of bread I ve had in Austin and the carmel-like butter is out of this world. This gets a 5/5 hands down. Last item were the barbecued scallops. At these price points, my grade is based against the holy grail of scallops in Austin and that is none other than Clark s. The dish was pretty good. No sand in the scallop (instant red flag to me) and the butter/mushroom spread was pretty good. Unfortunately, the scallop was cut into 1/4ths and the only real good pieces were the outer pieces. I d give it a 3/5. The drinks were also good. A little expensive for what you get ($30 French Chardonnay) and an $18 cocktail. While I m usually not sensitive on price, If I m paying high end prices, I expect the restaurant to be top notch. With all of that being said, I will most likely not return to Lutie s. The grade of fish that was cut and served was one of the worst pieces of fish served at any grade of restaurants here.

The place is beautiful, reminds me of the gardens of Versailles. We couldnt get a reservation so we just showed up and got seated outside, which in late September was nice. The dishes are all very good, just the right amount to not leave stuffed, but full. Its high quality food, with good price and amazing view.

This was my first time at Luties, and I have to say I was just a little underwhelmed. The environment and ambience is outstanding, the cocktails were fine, and the food was just ok. I feel like the price for each plate is a little steep for the flavor given on each plate, and the cocktails are a bit too sweet. I m happy I came here for a date night, they left us alone mostly with candle lights but I feel like the food left something to be desired.

Luties for me was a great experience. From the valet to the entrance, I felt mystery and intrigue. It was novel and memorable. Entering, it had the vibe of a nice speakeasy. The service of the staff had an aiming to please attitude--it was classy and knowledgeable in presentation. Regarding the menu: the selection of ingredients, preparation and quality of food were also excellent. Though our early gray cake was on the dry side. I recommend this place. Its fun and the food is good. But if youre hungry, keep in mind this place has small portions in general and if youre server recommends 5 entrees, choose 6 or 7.

The atmosphere of this place was super fun, and our server made amazing recommendations; the service was better than anywhere we ve ever been. The food was also insane, every dish was extremely well rounded, and was perfect to share for two. It was our anniversary, and they even gave us a signed card, and dessert. -incredible- we ll be back. After dinner, we walked out, there was no valet, it was dark (11pm) and we talked to security who eventually was able to get the valet to come outside to give us our keys. As we were walking to our car they asked for gratuity which I still decided to give, but I did make the comment that we waited. There was no apology, no thank you for the tip, and instead we got a very rude and condescendingly comment back that I didn t have to wait for them that long bud . Pretty unprofessional. It was surprising contrast to a great night otherwise. 9/6/24 - 9pm reservation Parking: Avoid valet

Eating off the a La crate menu the portions are pretty large and on the richer side which is not to our taste but I m sure it is for others, maybe we ordered incorrectly ?

This has to be some of the best food Ive ever had, and I dont say that lightly. I went for dinner and brunch during my weekend stay at the estate, and both times, the service was impeccable. We had a server, not even for our table, kindly explain what drink he was delivering because it looked delicious. He mustve felt like he rushed through his response because he came back after dropping off the drink to delve into the mocktail and its variations. This restaurant is also very transparent with the quality of the food and where its sourced from. A lot of regional tastes as well as unique flavors. The menu is seasonal, so we had mostly seafood with it being summer. There were some lovely touches for our special anniversary celebration, and I couldnt be more satisfied with my visits.

Luties in Austin, Texas, provided an unforgettable experience for my birthday celebration. Each dish surpassed the previous one in taste and presentation, showcasing incredible flavors that left me wanting more. The restaurants ambiance is equally impressive, set within a beautifully maintained estate that adds a touch of elegance to the entire dining experience. The craft cocktails were exceptionally fresh and perfectly balanced, enhancing the overall meal. From start to finish, Luties delivered on every front, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion or just a memorable night out. Highly recommend! They had plenty of vegetarian options too

I felt the prices on a few main dishes were high fir what it offered. As an example the steak is 75$ which it would be available for 40$ to 50$ by other steak houses. Most other items in the menu were reasonable

I hadnt realized it was part of the Commodore Perry Estate property until we arrived to a far more sumptuous affair than the name suggested. Top-notch at every step, from valet to washroom, not to mention some of the finest cake & ice cream (and tea & coffee) Ive ever shared with my lady. Well be back for a meal next time!

The menu is interesting, and there are many GF options. Amazing wine and liquor menu. Its a share a plate style restaurant. We tried four or five entrees, depending on if you call sending one back and getting something different a choice. When the average per person is $100+, my expectations are very high. The fried shrimp was my favorite, and my wife really liked the black-eyed peas pork belly and okra. We aso ordered the halibut, which was tough, fishy, and over salted. It wasnt edible. Disappointed we substituted it for the easy protein of steak. The star of the night was the chocolate mouse cake. WOW! It was amazing. Service was excellent, as one would expect from fine dining. We might go there again, but we wouldnt order the fish. Dietary restrictions: Did a good job with my GF allergy

We were so excited to take the time on our trip to Austin to have dinner at Lutie s. We waited with anticipation in the weeks leading up to our trip and it exceeded our expectations. Everything we ate was not only beautiful but tasted incredible. The cocktails we got were delicious, we are still thinking about that Bananarama. My toddler s meal was great, they gave him the option of fries or berries with his pasta and he chose the berries and I was impressed with the portion size for those. We ordered all 4 of vegan options, one had to be slightly adjusted to accommodate but it was an adjustment they are prepared for. We were so impressed that they had as many options as they did but as we got to try them we were more impressed with how delicious it all was. The beet dish & the chick pea ones were my favorite. We ve eaten at many vegan restaurants and this was probably the most truly plant forward meal I ve ever had. The dish with the carrots was also amazing! We ended on a sweet note with their strawberry sorbet and it was perfect! We hoped to sit on the patio and did. It was gorgeous. Hope to be back sooner rather than later. Dietary restrictions: So many amazing vegan options! Kid-friendliness: Came with a wild two year old. Staff wasn t phased and were so sweet with him.

TLDR: Pretty awful experience overall. I am very disappointed with service and appetizers. Luties is not the Auberge quality I was expecting, but it still undeservingly has the same high price tag. Service Cons - We arrived on time for our 7pm reservation. They had us wait 45 minutes for our table, for a birthday nonetheless. They asked us to sit at the bar while we waited, where we got a cocktail to endure the long wait, which was not comped. Spent 3.5 hours at the restaurant due to late seating and slow food service. Staff is kind but not well trained. They brought the wrong wine, dropped forks and knives, spilled green sauce on my friends pants and didn t even notice. The manager came over to take away our plates, didnt greet us or make conversation even though wed end up paying ~150 each guest. Service Pros - there was one server in braids who knew the menu well and made sure we our plates were right (one came without confit and he immediately on his own went to the kitchen to have this added), and another server black jacket who brought our desserts who seemed on-it. Food Cons - Food took forever, and then they d try to clear the plates before we were gone. They took wine glasses away before we were done. Lots of the appetizers were big misses. Food Pro - the halibut, pork and beef were phenomenal. Atmosphere Cons - At dinner they dimmed the light extremely dark. I am one for ambient lighting and always have the lights on low, but this was way too dark.

Gorgeous place, lovely & friendly service (although I wish they d let their servers skip the spiel, it s just so fawning and overblown). We had two dishes we couldn t eat, the green dish was inedibly salty and the bbq shrimp were mushy. Even after sharing feedback that we didn t enjoy them when they checked in (we barely touched the shrimp so they knew and came to the table), they made zero effort to comp or offer dessert or anything remotely related. Given the prices, I don t love paying $50 for something I barely touched and tbh it marred my experience on the property. Aesthetically gorgeous, lacking substance.

Special prices on wine also which they forgot to mention from the amount of menus they bombarded you with, did not include the wine on the special list they gave you for happy hour. Luties Garden Restaurant presents an intriguing dining concept with its tapas-style service, aiming to offer a variety of flavors in a communal setting. However, our recent visit left much to be desired with regards to the main courses and service efficiency, though it did have a redeeming quality in its dessert offerings. The food, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations. The shrimp tapas, a potentially delightful dish, were poorly executed with an overwhelming majority of the shell left intact, making them cumbersome and less enjoyable to eat. Similarly, the scallops were a disappointment; their slimy texture rendered them unpalatable, which was a surprising misstep for a dish that typically highlights a restaurants caliber. Service was another area where Luties Garden Restaurant struggled. Despite having a reservation, we experienced a significant delay, waiting an additional 30 minutes before being seated, which dampened the initial excitement of the meal. Additionally, our servers oversight in not delivering our second round of beverages suggested a lapse in attention to detail that could not go unnoticed. On a positive note, the desserts at Luties Garden Restaurant were a high point of the evening. They were exceptional, with each offering showcasing a blend of unique flavors and exquisite presentation. These desserts were so remarkable that they alone would be a reason to consider returning. While Luties Garden Restaurant excels in its dessert creations, the overall dining experience is hampered by culinary missteps and service issues. Potential patrons should come prepared for a possibly mixed experience, perhaps focusing on the sweet finale that promises to delight.

Loved the eclectic vintage dishes and ambience. We were disappointed that the entire group has to order the tasting menu, and there was no vegetarian option, which meant my husband couldnt try it since there was nothing for me and he had been looking forward to that. The mocktails were good, we were inside with the fun plants, and the outdoor dining by the balustrade and sunset looked charming. One flaw was that the strawberry soft serve ice cream was a very boring dessert option. Overall, quite memorable, with the estate rolls and chickpea salad being my favorite dishes. The service was attentive but not too busy and our waitstaff was accommodating of all our requests. The second time we went for my partner s birthday and had the tasting menu option, I believe it was $195/person with wine pairing. What an incredible experience this was! Every dish was so unique and thoughtfully prepared - not to mention by the end of it we could barely eat another bite. We ve since been back a number of times and have been impressed on each occasion. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable without coming off as stuffy or pretentious. After reading many highly rated reviews for this restaurant, I anticipated having an exemplary dining experience. I had brunch, but it was just so-so - maybe dinner is better, but I don t anticipate that I will try it now.. I had the shrimp omelette and my companion had the shrimp and grits. Both were barely warm when served, the omelette had an overly smooth processed texture and was unappetizingly deluged in sauce; also why barbecue shrimp for shrimp and grits? Neither dish was remarkable in any way, and service personnel were overstretched. Without wine, most brunch dishes are not overly expensive, which is the one positive feature to report.

The best thing about their food is their own description of it. Their pricing is courageous and honestly frustrating when you think about what you actually get for your investment. And it is an investment - $200-300 for 2 is easy to spend. What I see in other reviews is that its 50-50 whether youre going to have a great experience or an awful one. Personally, I dont want to take that risk with so many good restaurant options popping up around Austin these days. In terms of what is good - the grounds, the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is lovely. Beyond that - expect an exceptional degree of pretention with entirely underwhelming and unseasoned food. The best way I can describe our experience is that 90 minutes into our meal, the only thing we had eaten was 1 shrimp each. It wasnt even a good shrimp :( When we eventually got the next course, it was cold and entirely underwhelming. When our serve next came to our table I mentioned it had been cold and he told me frustratedly that I should have told him earlier...?! He hadnt been at our table so I wasnt able to tell him any earlier...so weird, very rude. Our waiter also made a huge song and dance about designing how our menu would be split up and dishes served together based on what we chose, only for each one to be very slowly drip fed over the course of 2 hours. Lastly, I tried phoning them afterwards to discuss our experience, I even left a voicemail and no one got back to me. The overwhelming feeling that I get from Luties is that they think they dont have to care too much, or put too much effort in. The reviews are starting to show that they are struggling to meet expectations, and its a shame that such a beautiful setting is wasted on such a bad restaurant experience.

I don t like bad reviews but I think honesty is important; we paid over $500 total for the evening, had to wait 45 minutes to be sat (we had a reservation), and then ate mediocre food from a backed up kitchen which took almost 3 hours to serve us in full. Everyone was very nice and polite, but this restaurant was not prepared for the evening. You can go somewhere else for significantly less money and a better food and dining experience.

Just dont. As an austinite I would suggest many other places in the area. This isnt it. They either need a exhaustive rehaul or just complete closure. Am I being dramatic? I waited an hour for my reservation. After being seated, it was pretty much strongly suggested I leave bc I had a dietary restriction (gluten free). Then later, when I went to the bathroom, there was a queue of women bc they ran out of toilet paper and paper towels both stalls - their only two. We were escorted to another building to use the restroom. One positive note - the somms were amazing and our wine pairings were both exceptional and interesting. They did offer us a discount and an overall apology. Now Im not nitpicking. These are broad strokes problems, there were so many other mistakes (minor) that we experienced that also contributed to this review. Dietary restrictions: Just dont if you have dietary restrictions. I was essentially asked to leave because nothing could be prepared gluten free. Which fine. But I explained when making the reservation that I needed gluten free modifications and was told it was absolutely okay. I had to explain to the server what gluten was because she kept asking be about soy sauce. I explained that traditional soy sauce is wheat based but there are GF soy sauces. So no I cant have traditional soy sauce. Why am I explaining this. We almost just left but then the manager came by and explained it would be fine. And we really never saw our server after that. Now, it was like this is the first time they have experienced gluten free needs because later, we were served a dish and then after eating, we were told it wasnt gluten free and then the same dish, but gluten free, came out. Ummm I already ate the glutened one...so... No apologies. Just heres what it is. So Id say dont come if you need any allergy modifications. They cant handle. They dont care and arent educated or equipped. And yes this is not a preference. I was diagnosed as celiac in 2007. So Ive been eating at restaurants fine for over a decade (in NYC, Chicago, Austin etc ). This is at the bottom of any list I would ever make in Austin or anywhere. Actually no list. Just a list that says, dont come. Just dont waste your time or money. So many better places in Austin.

This place is ideal for a top bucket list spot in Austin! With share style plating & portions (although you may not want to share), everyone in your party can have a bite of heaven. Plenty of amazing options for GF & Vegetarian! Seasonal & local veggies are cured, pickled, roasted & flambéd for your pleasure! Top choice proteins delight even the most refined palates & the service staff gets an A++ in my book! Thank you for being creative in your menu & knowledgeable in your clientele approach. We did the chefs choice, and I was so ready to be swept away by the food but was not. The food is good, not great, and that didnt match my expectations or the price point. The chefs choice was too heavy of a meal and gave us both heartburn, it didnt have a theme or a good balance to it, and didnt have a star of the show moment. It was like a puzzle where the pieces were all good, but the full picture was... meh? Id give the meal 3 stars, but the drinks were great which bumps the experience back to a 3.5 for me.

The food here was pretty good. The service was phenomenal, they even have valet parking. Besides the bottom 3 dishes on the menu, youd need to order ~2 dishes per person. Our favorite was the Petit Aioli appetizer. Its farm-fresh vegetables with a lemon aioli. The pork confit dish was great but the fat was really hard, in contrast with the flesh, making it a pain to swallow. Neither of us were too big of a fan of the BBQ shrimp and the dish could have been prepared to enjoy the head better. For a place in this price range, I just expected better. Go here during earlier than later because otherwise its too dark here for older people to see. The cheeky sandy is not it btw, dont get it.

An experience is all I can say. This place was to say the least a step into another aura. Loved the environment of Lutie s. Great menu options. Felt like all of the dishes I tried I genuinely liked. All dishes held so much flavor and character. Dishes were served one by one to elevate the experience. Very attentive staff. Loved the drinks. Would say a bit overpriced in some areas like their teas for example or smaller dishes. Many dishes definitely worth the price. Great place for me to celebrate my birthday. Would definitely come again!

To start off with, checking in with the person who made the dinner reservation the day of the dinner is reasonable, however, only 30 mins before the reservation to tell the person that if they cancel their reservation, it costs $50/person is insensitive. To not warn the customer about the cost when they first made the reservation is an issue that needs to be resolved asap. Also, the restaurant has a policy where if the party is 5 or more, the group has to eat from a set course menu. The policy itself is ok, but the restaurant should clearly let the customer know about the policy or give the customer the option of just ordering from the standard menu. The food itself is fine, nothing really too special, even without considering the cost of the meal. We had a birthday celebration in our group, so we had brought over a cake to celebrate. We asked the server for the kitchen to cut the cake up for us, which the server obliged, but the cake took 15-20 mins to come out after we asked the server. On top of that, when the check came, the restaurant placed a $6/person fee for cake cutting with no warning from the server. There should have been a warning from the server when we first asked about cutting up the cake to let us know about that fee instead of us finding out when we were about to leave. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone in the near future, especially for the cost. There are many more restaurants that deserve my hard-earned money with better service and better food than this place.

Luties, where to start? Its like theyre playing a bad joke on their customers. The atmospheres fine, if youre into pretty places with no substance. Service? Think of a sloth on a lazy day thats their speed. They slap you with a $6 cake-cutting fee per head, then make you wait an absurd 20 minutes to actually see the cake. And if your group dares to be 6 or more, surprise! Youre stuck with a set menu that nobody bothers to mention until youre all seated. This isnt fine dining, its highway robbery at $176 a head. The meal drags on for 4 hours, making you wonder if theyre growing the veggies out back. Never again. Honestly, just throw your money in a dumpster it s a better investment than dining here.

would not recommend this place even for special occasions! i was with a group of 6 and they did not let us know until the day of our reservation that because we were a party of six, all six of us HAD to go with their full course meal which values at $125 per person not including gratuity. they should have let us know when we called to make the reservation, not the day of the reservation where the cancellation fee is $50 per person. additionally, they charged us $6 per person for cake cutting ($36 total) and didn t let us know of the charges when they offered the service to us. this place just screams scummy business practices! additionally, the food wasn t amazing. I ve had way better food at much cheaper restaurants. even if i was filthy rich, I would never come back to this place, and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

We ve had varying levels of success with the highest tier restaurants here in Austin, but I find Lutie s to be worth the splurge. The grounds are gorgeous, and the restaurant itself is intimate and upscale in a very comforting way. The staff makes their farm to table, rotating offerings very accessible with a complete breakdown of each dish. This is a family style meal, so expect to order two to three plates for two people and four or five for four. These meals rotate, but you must get the bread and their trout meal; these are exceptionally well done staples that will leave you craving Lutie s version for days after. We went for my birthday and the staff made us feel very at home. The Commodore Perry is a haunt of the Austin from before, and just getting a chance to look around is a great perk. Valet here is the only way to park, so come with some small bills! Definitely an Austin treasure. I suggest not doing the tasting menu your first time just to get acclimated to the type of food available and to have a little more control over picking your favorites. We will be back!

We are frequent diners here and adore this place. Normally the food is amazing and so are the drinks. I gave 3 stars for the food because during a recent visit we had the halibut, but it was missing the caviar. We also ordered the pork with butter beans which had almost no pork and they had substituted black eyed peas for the butter beans. If I wanted a plate of pork flavored black-eyed peas, I could make them at home. For what each entree costs and what our total check was, the ingredients should be what is listed on the menu. Either serve what is listed for the dish or change the menu. Not amused.

I agree with reviews here 100% Ambiance is fantastic, service was pretty great although we did feel a bit rushed as they often brought next course out before I finished the last. We like to take our time enjoying expensive meals like this. My main criticism is that they really need to be more inventive with the food...its not that it wasnt good, its just it was a bit dull to justify the price tag. For example the waitress went on and on about their bread. It was good bread as part of the chef tasting menu but it really wasnt bread that justifying a 300+ dollar price tag. The wine was fantastic and the Somelier was lots of fun and knowledgeable. Great evening but just think the food was a bit dull, great tasting but dull given price tag.

We had a reservation for 9:15PM birthday dinner and were told our table was not yet ready and offered a seat at the bar. 20 minutes went by before we had a drink, delicious, and before a manager came over to apologize for the wait and explained that the current table holders had been there for four hours. I asked are they big spenders? If so, I totally understand he said yes and offered us the food menu to eat a small bite at the bar. We accepted the offer and were handed menus. Another 20 minutes go by and we had not been talked to about the menu or offered the ability to order anything. Frustrated, but mainly perplexed by the lack of a backup plan, we decided to inform the manager that we would be leaving if we were not seated in the next 5-10 minutes, and he apologized profusely and assured us we would be taken care of. Come to find out the table we were sitting at hadn t even been served a drink the whole time we had been waiting, they were just idly sitting there! Maybe offer them a bottle of champ to relocate inside the hotel or patio??? We were seated and asked for something quick to come the table to cure our hunger so we could think, maybe bread, to which our server informed us unlike an Outback Steakhouse, our bread takes 20 minutes to make and is better ordered mid-meal so you don t order twice (why can t we order twice) and rambling for what felt like forever, with condescending statements as if we d never experienced fine dining, before departing the table shocked that we didn t want to order more dishes. The peach tomato and herb salad had 3 slivers of unripe peaches, the scallop crudo was lackluster, bread was great and house ricotta cheese was good, dish we didn t order was good. Was shocked with the lack of follow up from the manager about our experience who promised we would be taken care of and instead left us high and dry. Luxury is earned, not intrinsic. Auberge should be ashamed of their association to Lutie s.

Fantastic dining experience! Farm to table resteraunt, seasonal menu, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff, with family style plating. As a table of 4 adults, we had 5 main dishes and 3 deserts, all of which were amazingly delicious in their own respect. Starting with Steelbow farms tomatoes peppers, soft cheese, and fresh herbs was a simple yet lively dish, smooth/creamy ricotta cheese pared well with the skinless tomatoes exchanging the typical bust of tomatoe with a gentile wave of sweet juices and then a crisp bite of roasted yellow bell pepper for texture and elevation. Next was the Grilled Texas Camembert, Sourdough and Berries a deconstruction of a grilled cheese, thick roasted slices of sour dough bread served next to a dish of Raclette and sliced strawberrys, combined back together gives you an amazing flavor that I might just try to make on my own for a breakfast snack (not saying this was not for dinner but just made me consider the possibilities of transforming my breakfast). Third dish was the Smoked Ham, Turnip, and Butter Beans honestly this was the least visually appealing and overall worst dish of our experience (not saying it was bad but something had to be at the bottom of the list), this was a home cured ham served in a plate with white turnips and lima beans, the ham had similar flavors as a high quality prosciutto but the texture of a roasted ham that simply falls apart in your mouth. Fourth was the Blue Jasmoon Rice, Mt. Lassen Trout, and Smoked Trout Roe this was served in separate dishes and encouraged to mix together as a kind of poké bowl, the slice of Trout had a beautifully crisp skin that flaked off as I attempted to slice the fish into the rice bowl and I left the roe for my company to add as they please, this was a fantastic dish and I loved every element, the rice was perfectly cooked just the slightest bit of aldenté to give a bite which paired perfectly with the burst of roe (just giving the flavor of the roe instead of the explosion, that some consider to much), the Trout was perfect flavor and the crispy skin was its own element of flavor and texture that would add to the dish. Last main dish was the Texas Beef, Royal Trumpet Mushrooms, and Confit Potatoes this was the highlight dish of the night, perfectly cooked Texas wagyu steak topped with sprigs of mushrooms and a white sauce that was amazing, served along side the confit fingerling potatoes, the steak was silky smooth to chew that matched the consistancy of the mushrooms allowing just the flavor of the mushrooms to come in and add to the perfection of the steak, the potatoes where roasted to have a beautifully dark golden brown skin, and everything was just simply better in that sauce, the taste was perfection everyone was fighting over the last bite. Lastly, the deserts no wrong choices here Lemon soft serve, Chocolate Creneux, and Creme Carmel all great although for me it was a tie between the creamy texture and unique flavor of the lemon soft serve and the simple yet elegant creme caramel with the side of local honey whipped cream topped with crushed pistachios.

A $300 dinner for 2 should be better. Service was exceptional, reservation process was annoying, food was a 3/5. The sommelier recommended a great bottle of wine and the server was excellent. We really loved the chickpea dish, beets, and the barbeque shrimp. The fritto misto was an overly salty, heavy mess with soft shell crab, mushrooms, and some broccolini inside. The Estate Bread was good, essentially an English muffin but wasnt anything Ill be craving in the future. It was perfectly salty and the cultured butter tasted like great expensive butter. Which brings us to our main, the cornish hen with Guajillo and figs. It was $40 and you received a fried thigh and leg (where the breast went I do not know). The taste was meh but the presentation was wildly weird. Think Edgar Allen Poe presenting you with the cursed monkey paw, the whole leg section came out with fried talons et all. It wasnt very good, was very small and the macabre presentation made it a loser. We had the off menu texas sheet cake dessert (delicious!) and the apple cider donut dessert with apple butter that was also very satisying. The space is beautiful and the service was great but the actual food left a lot to be desired at the high end price point. Nothing on the menu left me craving more of it and Luties didnt earn a return trip. Someone else mentioned the music and it was bad. Weird, really loud, not great choices.

This place is definitely worth a trip. The food is really good. But I think the ambience and the atmosphere are better. It s such a cool setting, definitely a great place for a date night or a romantic meal. I enjoyed the whole experience.

The food was ok, but not over the top. It didnt live up to the hype. Flavor combinations were good but a little uninteresting. Charred biscuits were oily. Nice to have corn nuts in Chick pea dish for texture, but flavor didnt wow me. Swordfish was good. Probably the best thing we had was the seafood squash flower app and my cocktail. The only thing that really popped to me was the bee pollen on the creme that came with the dessert. The atmosphere was ok. Music choices werent very good. Service was exceptional.

What a beautiful place! We stopped in for a few cocktails on a bachelorette party this past weekend and were so glad we did. It is so beautiful inside. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of having Victor as our bartender. He was great!

From the service to the food, our experience at Lutie s was incredible. Standout dishes include the chickpeas, trout, and do not skip the kouign-aman ice cream! Can t wait to come back on my next visit to Austin.

I do not leave reviews often, Ive traveled a lot and been to some amazing bucketlist restaurants. This place has one of the most stunning restaurant experiences I have ever been too. The food was intoxicating, the ambiance was magical, the entire staff was helpful and right on with the recommendations. I wish I could remember the Sommeliers name, he had a short pony tail but he was what glued up the experience for us. Do not feel embarrassed to ask what the menu actually means and what the dishes include! Not that it matters much because everything we ordered was absolutely phenomenal and worth the price! We ordered 5 dishes for 2 of us and it was right on. Some of the items, once described, sounded a little adventurous, like the golden king crab chawanmushi with grits. Im so happy we ordered it, the chefs know what they are doing and this dish was like butter that melted in our mouths and was perfectly balanced. This is a hidden gem and a must go to place in Austin. Do not listen to the negative reviews. If you are a real foodie, you could die and go to heaven after this place and be satisfied with your life.

This place is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The food here is one of the best that Austin has to offer and they have really good mock tails. My only complaint is that the menus aren t descriptive so you have to rely on your waiter/waitress, luckily for us we got a good one.

I dined at this restaurant with my new fiancé as an engagement celebration. We enjoyed the camembert cheese, ham, green dish, fritto misto and more. They serve the meals in courses so come hungry and prepare yourselves for an extraordinary experience. Each dish was superb and exploding with flavor. We had the ice cream and donuts for dessert which was the perfect conclusion to our meal. We hope to be back soon and recommend this restaurant to anyone for a special occasion/ celebration.

For a restaurant that should shine on his reputation its hard to understand what went wrong. To start the server on his green blazer, with a crooked shirt and an undershirt that did not match the shirt, this would be the omen of what was a forgettable meal and disjointed lackluster service. We went with a big appetite and a soaring hunger for service, ordered drinks right off the bat and were interested in the $150 tasting menu. Which to preface was welcomed by our sever and his enthusiastic spiel about how they love to talk about the menu, as we announced our choice he proceeded to enjoy this makes it easier and forever forget about our experience. As we hinted that we wanted to enjoy a bottle of white, a glass of was recommended and proceeded to order a bottle after the glass suggestion. His demeanor toward our experience became more and more apparent. Gladly our food runner, with great knowledge and such a mesmerizing love for the menu, provided a charm and enchant that added some interest for the food. While there were some hits and misses in our experience, like onions so sulfuric and strong that seemed to be cut days prior on the scallop crudo, to a a wonderfully balanced tuna belly tataki, that was kissed in a grill adding that meaty essence that allowed the fatty tuna to shine, a dollop of caviar and a magnificent drizzle of brown butter made this an exciting second bite, one that promised and blinded all other experiences. The greens or lettuces with its flavorless kombu butter under some greens and a hot butternut, a memorabilia from Copenhagen, made it hard to compete with the tuna. As the heat from the hot squash, threw off the entire dish wilting the lettuce, screaming for salt, just made my heart drop. We got an uncomfortable look as we politely asked for salt. BBQ shrimp and bread were a stepping stone for a great dish of Delta blue rice, grilled trout, as crispy and savory as life itself, a sweet soy sauce and the umami of some delicate smoked trout roe that popped in symphony with the perfectly cooked rice and crunchy trout, all this welcomed that spark and understanding of a perfect dish, a chef mastering it. Between this entree and the next, time lapsed so slow that our next dish by surprise yet another seafood or fish component (they do showcase pork and meat in their menu) after having already 6 fish dishes on a tasting menu, a more stellar choice of progression in the last savory course would have allow it a showstopper, to not reminisce on so much fish and seafood. Not to take credit for the perfectly pan seared halibut with burre blanc and caviar ( as we had three types of fish eggs already on several dishes) made this tune sound, like that one artist that does not change the tune and keeps the same vocals throughout the concert. The excitement is lost and it become monotone. Same tone-deaf artists hit with two dessert with caramel, kouign amann ice-cream that was churned and finished with bites of kouign amann and a table side caramel sauce. Something so rich would be hard to understand why it felt so watery. Customary to drive a progression on a tasting menu, a creme caramel, custard baked with caramel, perfectly executed just got eclipsed by the same caramel flavor from the kouin amann. A lovely place with a majestic outdoor view that is bread taking, just not the experience or hospitality to complete this experience.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The vibes of the place are immaculate, making it the perfect date spot. From the minute we walked in they took care of us. They let us know our table wasn t ready and let us sit at the bar. After letting us know that it would be longer, they brought out a dish for us to nibble on while we waited. When the table was ready, they brought us over and we immediately spotted a happy anniversary card. Our waiter was extremely helpful in navigating the food and cocktail menu. We had 5 dishes between us, which was plenty. The star of the night was the chickpea salad. While not all the dishes stood out, you can tell the menu is well crafted and changes a lot. At the end of the night, our waiter offered to get our car ready from the valet. This best service I ve ever received in the US bar none. My wife and I will be coming back here regularly.
