I love coming here for their Sunday Custard specials! Theyve got a half off deal. Their homemade Mexican hot fudge is delicious. Its got just a touch of spice that makes it a nice contrast to the cool custard. Im looking forward to trying some of their famous chicken and burgers.

To be completely honest, the frozen custard is always top notch. Had the affogato this time, its always incredibly smooth. My only complaint was the custard to espresso ratio, it was in a huge cup and most people wouldnt complain about the amount of custard, but it was overwhelming and I lost that great coffee flavor to the sheer amount of custard. However, I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich, fried chicken tenders, fries, and the brussel sprouts. Tender basket was great. But the fried chicken sandwich was actually just tenders on a sandwich, which is difficult to eat and lacking flavor, not a fan. If I had known I would have just ordered a second basket of tenders. Love the fries, but the Brussels were way too sweet. They were swimming in a syrupy substance. I usually live for that type of side. The cocktails we tried were just ok. Ill be back for more custard though.

Review update (March 2024): what a shambles this place is!!! And they changed their menu again; no more cauliflower sandwich, only veg option is falafel burger, long wait time and delivery areas changed again. I m upset and I have LOUS to blame. Yall are not the same. I m damn disappointed that you took away good menu items. Previous review (2022): This place is ELITE. Their burgers are classic, old school and everything that s missing other places. Really solid fries and onion rings. Their green sauce for dipping is great and I m usually not a fan of that. I also would recommend their salads if you re feeling healthy. They have it all. Good sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, sides & burgers!

We ordered cobb salads and a Greek salad. 10/10 would recommend. The salads are generously sized with delicious, fresh ingredients. We also got the parmesan fries which were perfection. They didnt need the dipping sauce, but it was excellent as well. The watermelon basil drink was also tasty. I liked that they have the waste separated into trash, recycling, and compost. They also had a drinking water tap on the porch which is thoughtful! The succulents everywhere are a nice touch. The vibes are immaculate

As long as you know its insanely overpriced and you may have to wait 20 minutes for an alright burger then you cant be too mad. But when they consistently forget items on your simple order it can be mildly frustrating. Im a super positive person normally and dont make a big deal about waiting for them to completely fill the order but the attitude at the pickup window just absolutely makes this whole experience uncomfortable and awful. Big bummer lous.... here was my $22 meal.

Paid $25 for an average burger and fries to take out - plus a mandatory service window fee (when you can only order through a service window) and then tips default at over 20% - pay attention! It was tasty, but lower price point for similar (or better items). The other individual in my party ordered the green chile sauce burger in a lettuce wrap. Lou s was out of sauce and left off the poblano peppers - so it was just a cheeseburger in a thick wedge salad wrap. This was for the same price of the listed menu item

The restaurant is located at the corner of Caesar Chavez and Chicon. So there is traffic which makes the area noisy. Fortunately there is some seating behind the restaurant which is quieter. Several guests brought dogs with them. You place your order at a window and are handed a buzzer which vibrates when your food is ready. You then go to another window to pick up your order. All the seating is outdoors. There are fans for keeping the air moving. I enjoyed my pulled chicken sandwich. My friend said the cheese steak was good but felt that for the price a bag of chips or small side should be included. Beer and wine are available. Water is self serve. A cup of ice can be requested when you order.

It was really good, but shake could have been a little thicker. I got the double cheeseburger and it did not disappoint. Food took about 10-15 and was super fresh and hot out the kitchen. 10/10 freshness scale. We enjoyed our time on the patio, cool vibe. I m currently at Lou s on the east side. My friend ordered an Americano with almond milk. She also asked for chicken tenders with the Cobb salad (advertised on the menu). The cashier went to the back to ask if the almond milk and chicken tenders were possible and found out that they were for an up charge (not a big deal). Moving on, I ordered a Greek salad with chicken tenders, a side of fries, and a Diet Coke - $30. She handed me a cup of ice that had melted and was filled with water half way. Ignoring that, we move to the window to get the Americano. She gets to the window with half of the cup full, little ice, and says let me know if you want me to add more almond milk; it was an up charge of $2 so my manager has an updated receipt for you. When our food was ready my friend went and grabbed it from the counter and they didn t add the fries to the order. When she asked for them the response was they weren t on the ticket and that we could order them from the QR code at the table. For a McGuire Moorman restaurant, I expect the service to be exceptional, especially when I m paying $30 for a subpar salad. Not to mention the amount of flies. Save your money. Parking: Parking lot

I was on my way home from a baseball game and with the weather getting worse I decided to stop at Lou s Eastside location and pick up a rotisserie chicken to enjoy for the next two days. This place has great character and trendy with the 20-30 year old crowd. At first the place looked very busy and worried I could not find a parking lot since it was very small but luckily there was a spot. Otherwise park on the street behind it. I love this place and ordered a whole Rotisserie Chicken with one side, Rotisserie Potatoes. They had a meal option with two sides but just need one. I also noticed a Miller High Life Pony and had to get it along with a Lou s Koozie. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The next day I warmed up the chicken in the microwave and it was just delicious. It smelled delightful and excellent flavor. I forgot how much this chicken tasted. This place is great! They have a large patio with tvs and they play good music. The staff is friendly. The line can get very long it just depends when you come. I wanted to try several things. I had the Mexican Mocha. It was good a little spicy but the chocolate flavor was good. I also tried the pink raspberry lemonade. It s made with sparkling water and I thought it was a little too tart. I would still order it again though maybe just add a packet of sweetener. I order the breakfast sandwich and I added avocado. It s a little bit different from the description. No arugula, no ciabatta and no the sauce is different. It s still very good however I don t think it s better. I miss the arugula. I had the poblano cheese fries. They were amazing! The cheese was a bit heavy on the onions and not enough poblanos. But it s still very good. I would get this again. Lastly I got a strawberry lemonade doughnut. This was extremely good. The lemon was subtle but it came through. I highly recommend it. Definitely getting this again!!!

I wish Google had a point system where you could give something between a 4- & a 5-Star rating because its better than the 4-Star rating but not quite 5-Stars. Definitely worth a visit. I would deduct slightly due to parking & price. As shown above, everything else is 5-stars.

The custard the past 3-4 times I ve gone over the year has been grainy and gritty. It didn t use to be like that but it s been consistently gritty the last few times I ve ordered. Wish they would get it back to smooth.

Great spot, nice atmosphere. The best Lous in town. Frozen margarita is very good. Parking: They have a couple of lots. You can turn in from East Cesar Chavez, but if you are coming from the city center, you may have to do a u turn as the entrance is often blocked by cars waiting at the traffic lamp from the other direction.

Cool Little diner on the corner that looks like it was a former gas station. Fixed up really nice bright and clean and the menu is incredibly large. We came here on a whim during the week and I m glad we stopped by. We picked some random food that we ve never tried before, and they all turned out great! The only issue we have with this place is the prices are pretty high for basic food. Just a few items and a drink was $60+, but I guess with inflation these days everyone s raising prices. Maybe they could help out some fellow Texans a little more ; )

They don t except cash. It s a restaurant in a neighborhood, how can you not except cash payments? I ordered and when I went to pay the male cashier with a twisty mustache was all cheery like we don t except that . So I didn t get to try their food. Gentrification sucks.
