The studio is super well run and organized. Lots of backdrops to choose from. Also, tons of light equipment were available. But natural light in the studio was a total dream! Makeup station is absolutely incredible and what facilitated our organization was the large cloth rack they provided. I highly highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a photography studio in Austin or Editorial shoot.

I love coming to the Darkroom Studio, it is one of my favorite studios in Austin. Now the studio itself is super clean and pretty big! I am a makeup artist and when it comes to where I need to set up my Makeup Kit is very important, they have amazing vanity mirrors with great lighting, the table is always clean and ready, there is a sink near by so I can always have access to wash my hands. The natural light that comes in at the front of the studio is perfect for me to be able to capture photos of my work. A few extra perks there is plenty of parking right in front of the studio plus there is a coffee shop in the same location! I highly recommend you to book your Next Shoot here!

Wow! Easily the best studio in Austin. You can rent it out and it has everything you need from lighting equipment to cameras. Their lounge area is also great and makes for an additional photography space. The owners/photographers are incredibly helpful and truly love the craft which makes them great to work with. As a photographer Id recommend any of them but Daniel is my favorite and the one I work with the most. Thanks for everything, -Eric

Super rude owner- we had a booking scheduled for 7:00 and the owner gave us a warning at 7:07 about a 15 min warning that wasn t previously communicated to us. We arrived at 7:12 and knocked on the door. The owner watched us from his car, ignored our call, then drove off and finally answered the phone. We had 3 models in full makeup and hair, a videographer, a photographer and equipment ready. We spent a lot of time preparing for the shoot and now have to reschedule. Would not recommend this studio at all!!

We had a large group book this studio through Peerspace for two hours and unfortunately had a horrible experience with the owner. We arrived within the 15 minute time frame the owner gave us at the start of the booking time frame (which we were unable to find stated anywhere on the website or in the booking agreement), but he had already locked the studio and driven away before answering our calls as we were knocking on the door. Multiple people from our group tried to have a conversation with him over the phone and he refused to listen as we were all waiting outside the studio in full makeup with props, cameras, and even our own lighting. He was rude over the phone and seemed like he had other obligations or just did not want to stay later at night when we had booked the studio. He also stated that refunding was not up to him and that maybe we would be able to get a partial refund through Peerspace, even though we were not even let inside the building. We were very excited to use this space and were unfortunately let down, so I hope other people in the future do not have this same experience.

Situated in the heart of downtown Austin, Fotohouse is the perfect spot for a photo/video studio for photographers and videographers. Loaded with most of the tools you ll need for the job, this is the spot for professional photos downtown. The owner is readily available and helpful as well! I ve used a handful of studios in ATX most were fine and some were interesting but this place is the best. I went in expecting setup to be 30 minutes but that was not the case for fotohouse, we started within 10 minutes. High quality light system to use, nice sound system, super clean and a iMac to tether to or review photos in between shots. Super clean and has a great vibe, this should be the only place to use in the austin area.

Fotohouse is the new trending and professional studio in the native hostel. with state of the art lighting and studio equipment for your photo shoot needs, I have personally used them dozens of times for countless product shoots while I m here in town. everytime I go their I feel at home, whether it s having a photography questions for the owner or tips on positioning and lighting, fotohouse is a great studio especially for me especially being a beginner photographer, Also afterwards you can go step outside and get a drinks from natives bar.

Shot here the other day and had such a great experience. The Fotohouse studio was lovely to work in. Spacious & professional setup. All the equipment was really nice. Lighting & backdrop was great. They even have a glam table and mirror to touch up makeup, get ready etc. The room itself is private, no outside distractions while shooting which is awesome! I came here for a black/white portrait shoot. As soon as I walked in, I was blown away by the studio. Its very quiet, spacious and has lots of props. The camera equipment and lightning is the best in the market and I like how you can easily move stuff around to create a different vibe in photos.

Daniel took photos of all the performers and DJs performing at an LGBTQ event we threw over Pride weekend and the pictures came out absolutely incredible. All of the photos were powerful and captured the artists in their truest form. He also knew we were on a tight deadline to get these photos printed and displayed before the weekend and his editing turnaround was SAME DAY. He was so professional and calming throughout the entire process, and was amazing at guiding first time subjects on how to pose, etc. Could not recommend enough.
