A place that has become my refuge to meditate on my God and Lord Jesus Christ by observing its beauty and variety of plants with a beautiful sky in the background that speaks of his creation and being a living and true God!

If you need a break from the high traffic Townlake trail and want a low traffic hike through nature, this trail is perfect. A small creek runs through the trail (not nearly enough water to swim in) and a playscape sits at the entrance (or exit depending on where you park) of the trail.

My kids and I love this park. We like to start at the playground and then meander down some of the adjacent hiking trails. What a fun way to experience nature and get the kids tired! There are neat climbing structures for the kids at the playground, so they dont bore easily. Additionally, the trail is littered with cool Karst features, fun elevation transitions, and awesome creek beds/water features. This is a fun, free way to spend a few hours decompressing from the complexities of everyday life! I only have one gripe, and it is that there is not a dedicated parking lot for the playground, so you kind of have to find parking where you can in the neighborhood. Dont block anyones driveway and, most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Lovely hiking trails with occasional views of the creek. Large playground and climbing structure for kids. Group picnic shelter. Fitness equipment for adults. Great trail for walking dogs, but not for moms with strollers. This trail would be too challenging for small children due to the many stairs, rocks, and tree roots along the path.

Alright yall this is a wonderful park heres some tips for you... 1- you are going to run into alot of people on nice days esp during peak hours (weekdays this is evenings, weekends late morning to early evening). If youre like me and like to avoid the general public, go on cold/overcast/windy days or later in the evening (ladies be careful if u choose to do this be advised its isolated in most sections of the park) 2- be wary of the trail runners...they will sneak up on you...best not to wear headphones while hiking. 3- stream crossings are throughout most sections of the park. People with below average agility should still be able to cross without an issue. You want to avoid stepping in the water if u can as I believe some of the running water is sewage runoff.

This is a great nature trail in North Austin. Its not crowded, not too challenging to bring kids on (I wouldnt try a stroller on this trail, though; it has some stairs and is otherwise too rough for even a jogging stroller to be practical) and you can hike from the Floral Park Dr trailhead to the playground to give your hike a destination that kids will be excited about.

Fun but short trail for hiking or running, but too many rocks and hairpin switchbacks to ride a bike effectively on. These neighbourhood trails are well maintained and easy to follow. The creeks are beautiful when they are full. Take a good pair of shoes that you wont mind getting dirty if it just rained. It can get muddy. The trails are in and out. The only negative is if you bring your pet, not all entrances have a trash can where you can dispose their waste.
