Had a wonderful experience at space cowboy, the vibes are great. The food was delicious we got the space balls to start out and they were full of flavor ! The corn was very flavorful and we got the short rib with the Bernaise sauce and that was so delicious and super moist meat. Highly recommend for a cute date night or a girls night out !

The food was fine, but not where it needs to be at that price point. I really liked the burrata and speck. The space balls, rice trio, short rib, and filet where all underwhelming. The food in general was bland and not all that interesting. Its also really smokey in there from the kitchen and the space themed decorations feel incomplete. Its a big open warehouse and the decor feels like lofty ideas without any execution or follow through.

Wife & I wanted a cocktail date night & Space Cowboy did not disappoint. Our service Alondra was fabulous! The drinks she recommended were top notch and fit our flavor profiles! My wife asked for a Smokey type of profile & I requested something sweet but not too too sweet. She definitely knew her stuff. We were impressed with the atmosphere & friendly service. We plan on revisiting to try out the food because we filled ourselves on this visit with delicious Ube dessert & drinks. See you soon Space Cowboy

This place gives me midnight in the desert vibes. From the clouds in the ceilings to the cute cactus everywhere. Our little robot Phil brought us our food! Our server knew the menus, so well! She had amazing recommendations and answered the questions we had! Exceptional service (Unfortunately, I didnt remember her name) This place has a well thought out menu from the specialty cocktails, the tapas, and the main courses to the dessert. No matter what, you try to get ready for a flavor explosion! Shout out to the chef! If youre looking for a niche dining experience, this is a must try spot! We went here for a birthday dinner on 8/30. The hosts were so kind and nice immediately when we arrived. Our server was great, very attentive (even though we also had a robot delivering food items and drinks). The server went through the whole menu with great recommendations. It is a Tapas styled restaurant, which we weren t prepared for, but completely worth it. Great drinks, great service, great experience, great atmosphere.

What a fun place! I saw that one of my friends came here and really wanted to try it! It did not disappoint!! Fiorella was our server and so super sweet and helpful! She made the experience even better with her sweet smile! Everything we tried was delicious! Space balls are a must have! I do recommend if you get the corn ribs, eat them hot (... and bring a toothpick!) The octopus was delicious! I have to say the skewers were only ok, but not bad. Love the Seafood Aguachile. It had a kick to it, but I could tolerate it. I usually dont eat spicy food. Love how the robot servers deliver the food! Overall a must try! It is a little loud though. Next time well try the Cowgirl Cut and hopefully Fiorella will be our server again! Parking: The restaurant has a small parking area, so go early to leave time to find a parking spot.

We made a reservation and scheduled events following since they have a 2 hour dining limit when we called. When we got here they did not abide to the 2 hour dining and said that tables are taking longer so those who made reservations have to wait. We ve been waiting 45 minutes since our reservation time and no accommodations were made. Never coming back. Service was absolutely terrible and the location was super small.

Came for the first time tonight, was blown away by the service and the food quality + Of course the ambiance is 10/10! Def recommend making a reservation and adding in the notes you ideally would love to sit where you can be served by the robots. But the staff is amazing. Fiorella - she was our server. My boyfriend and I are visiting from Dallas and we decided to make a reservation here, I can t recommend enough!! Our waitress (the hostess said her name was feil) had the cutest boot earrings, and she was the so helpful and kind!! She walked us through everything and gave recommendations. This was our second time here. the first time was great so we came back, but well not go back again and will not recommend it to our friends. we had a reservation for 8pm for 2 people. we checked in at 8pm and noticed there were at least 5 other parties waiting in the non-existent waiting area. we waited until 8:25pm with nothing moving along! we asked the hostess whats up and when a table will become available since we have a 10pm movie tickets, she said shortly, like 15-20 minutes. so we left. we felt a complete disregard of the customers time and plans, didnt hear even a sorry. They obviously overbooked and just dont know how to manage the wait times and have no respect for their clients. *dont waist your time, there are enough restaurants in Austin that will sit you at your table at the time you actually booked*

My friend and I were so excited to try Space Cowboy however, our experience was not great. We made a reservation due to popularity and reservations are very common in Austin. We arrived on time to our reservations and upon entering we could not find the hostess. Once, we did we told her we were here for our reservations. She said she would check us in momentarily . We waited about 10 minutes and she then came back briefly and then left for another 5 minutes. As soon as she came back we approached her to remind her to check us in due to us not wanting our reservation canceled. We expressed our frustration of other people being seated before us without reservations along with us waiting now 35 minutes even though we had a reservation. We didn t receive a good explanation. Once it reached an hour we decided to get up and leave however, we were told that we all of sudden had a table and drinks would be on the house. At the point we just accepted due to being hungry and with most restaurants already being closed. The place is definitely for the aesthetic & technology. The bad experience from the start just had us not in the best of moods and caused us not to enjoy our time there. Also, having the waitress telling us we should of come earlier did not make it better. I truly wish we had a different experience due to being on vacation.

This place was so pretty! Its definitely a place for special events. Food and drinks were delivered by robots. What was cute was that each robot had a name. The shishito peppers were packed with flavor. I will say that the portions are on the smaller side, but the flavor compensates for it. Its good, but not for those who expect to get full. Food is really good and decor is v cute but service is terrible. They clearly have not worked out how to balance having in person wait staff along with robots. The waiter took forever to take our order, barely checked on us, and didnt clear our empty plates (which honestly seems like a missed opportunity for the robots to clear plates but I digress). The robot did bring us the wrong drink, so its not like that system is seamless either. Even with robots helping them and terrible in person service, they still default the tip to 20%. Overall I thought the food and drinks were way overpriced (seriously one drink was $24). I really liked the food so its a bummer that the price point and the service make this restaurant a miss. Hopefully they can work out the kinks and make some adjustments to improve the overall experience. They have very limited parking. The menu is mostly seafood and red meat so if those arent your vibe, this isnt the spot for you. We finally made it here and this place didnt disappoint. It has been on the books since it opened but I just couldnt find time and a company to finally check it out. We really enjoyed the food and drinks, the service was great and I liked that they tried to go an extra mile to ensure we were happy with everything. The robots bringing the food is so much fun and definitely a highlight of the place. Also I noticed that robots have the same names as Minions. That caused a few laughs and giggles. From the food options the best were: Space Balls, Shishito Peppers, Beef Tartar and Cowgirl Cut Steak. The food I would not order again: French fries and skewers (lack of flavor). Overall I left happy and definitely will be back!

This is a super cool place to visit. The robot food service is something Ive never seen before. The theme, decor & overall vibe definitely makes it worth checking out. The human staff was also amazing! Very attentive and helpful with recommendations for food & drinks. I gave the food 3 stars, but let me explain - the food was pretty good, slightly above average. However, (in my opinion) the portions are small, and the entrees are overpriced - ranging from about $29-40 each. The sides are á la carte and will run you another $8-13 each. What makes this worse is that there are tons of other restaurants in the immediate area with cheaper (and dare I say, better) food. To me, this is the only drawback of the location. That being said, I still highly recommend checking it out, especially with friends or for a cute date night. Maybe just opt for apps & and drinks, tho.

What a unique but fun experience. I booked a table for the full experience. You still get a server, but everything is delivered on a robot. I went on a Tuesday so it wasn t busy. Our server was very good. He made some suggestions of his favorites. The Marg on Mars cocktail is AMAZING. The space balls were really good. I loved the corn ribs and charred broccolini. First time with my boyfriend. We didn t make a reservation and they were able to get us seated in 30 minutes. The drinks were amazing and well done. The service was pretty good. But everything comes out in a spaceship and if you re done with your drink it can be a while to order the next one. Food was okay, really nothing special. The space balls had a lot going on. They don t give an itemized receipt so only realized after getting home. It s obvious they are buying reviews. Take a look at responses to some unfavorable reviews and it s quite revealing. Fun concept with great food and a very nearly perfect experience. Tapas style, so smaller plates meant for sharing. Booked for an anniversary of ours for 830. They may have overbooked expecting cancelations because we still waited almost 30 minutes to be sat. So either arrive early to confirm your table, or hopefully theyll iron out their reservations. We also did not receive anything additional for our celebration, which isnt required, but our neighboring table did receive cotton candy for their birthday. Forgot the name of the drink, but it was vodka, lychee, guava. Wonderfully balanced; tasted like juice but both the fruits came through in the drink. It was however $14 or more like all the drinks on the menu, which is extravagant without it being premium liquor. The same drink elsewhere would be $10-12. Stardust fries are a pass. Flavors are okay, but the cut of the fry is too small and they were nearly cold on arrival. Would have been a loss if not for the orange spicy sauce served with it. The broccolini is fair. Great chili oil, good char taste, but the cook to tenderness could have been longer. Corn ribs are a must. The seasoning on them paired with the Serrano airlines was top tier. A light spice that isnt hot but bursting with flavor. Honestly the best thing of the evening. Cowgirl cut steak was nice, tender, great flavor to the meat, but lacking in seasoning. Being cut upon delivery is a little bit of a detractor though. The longer it rests to retain juice the better. The bone was also roasted and marrowless. Normally I like to suck the marrow out, but it was bone dry. Wine braised short rib was very soft with a good char on the outside. However it lacked flavor to itself, and the potatoes it were served on equally missed the mark for truffle. It was saved by the delicious sauce so as a meal, wonderful, but room for improvement on the other components. Honestly the sous chef deserves a raise. They saved the entire meal and elevated it. Atmosphere is cute, not bright but not dim. Cute clouds and an intimate date night. Nothing bad enough to lose a star, but still rough around the edges.

Choosing this restaurant on a whim turned out to be the best decision! From the moment we stepped in, Adam, our server, provided impeccable service, making our evening truly memorable. This has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. The staff is always very nice, the food is phenomenal, and the bots are such a fun touch! I ve had the crispy rice trio, sliders, braised beef short ribs, and space balls, but I HIGHLY recommend the cowgirl cut, potato puree, and shishito peppers. Everything has been delicious and beautifully plated. My fav drink is the Solar Flare! Lots of parking when they open at 5pm not as much later on in the evening.

10/10 would absolutely recommend. I am a huge foodie and love when I find unique experiences with food. The restaurant is very modern and the food is spectacular. We had a few of their specials and we were not disappointed. The short ribs and space balls were our absolute favorite. The drinks were very well balanced and delicious. Our server was very attentive and made a ton of really great suggestions. The bots bringing your drinks and food is such a fun experience. If you look closely they almost all have name tags. There were a few items that were sold out like the sliders, we were suggested to come again around 7 or so to be sure we have all options available.

The prime rib was absolutely the star of the show. As a party of 9 we ordered the potato puree, charred broccolini, garlic fries, hummus, torched crispy rice trio, land and sea skewers and a steak as well which were all really good but we couldnt stop raving about the prime rib. The cocktail menu is cute. We all ordered a cocktail each off of the menu but switched to our regular drink order after. All in all, the food and service were really good until it was time to pay. Our server accidentally used my card to pay another tab he had up on his handheld POS. The charge was voided immediately. However, due to security on my credit card, it would not allow a $700+ charge a minute after a $500+ charge. We ended up paying with another card, but that wasnt the biggest issue. Not everyone in our party ordered entrees. A few people ordered one cocktail and an appetizer while others ordered appetizers, an entree and multiple cocktails, the restaurant only splits the check equally up to six people and the itemized receipt had everything lumped together which made it really inconvenient for the table but I guess someone has to be inconvenienced either the restaurant by being charged multiple service charges for each credit card payment or the customer by having to figure it out. Loved the prime rib, though.

As a big fan of Cowboy Bebop, I was looking for reference or features in the restaurant design and menu but this place seems to be based on the concepts of space and cowboy, separately. Very cool interior with cloud shaped lights and imitation cactus to bring the diners to the real west. Food does not disappoint either. We especially like the burrata, space balls, and ube panna cotta. The side dishes stand out more than the mains. The cocktails here are amazing too. We love the Venus Seduction and Life Water. Great thanks to our robot server Kevin for the smooth service!

The waiter wouldn t let me swap out the shrimp on the skewers in favor of more of another item also on the skewers? The waiter gave a horrible explanation, came back and saw my review, confronted me about it and gave me an even worse explanation and you could tell he was clearly losing his temper. The octopus was horrible and had 3 pieces of chorizo, and I was forced to order this as they wouldn t allow a simple substitution. Theme and decoration is really cool and thought out. Robot servers were interesting. First drink we had was terrible, but the server kindly took it back because it was new on the menu. Second drink was really good. Sliders hardly had any meat, 90% buns and fried onions or whatever it was. Service was slow, and my wife did not finish submitting the payment + tip on the handheld machine the server Kristyn kindly gave herself an extra $5 on the tip we had left. I got an immediate notification from my bank, so we went in and asked for a receipt, and the accident was corrected once we brought it to their attention. Edit: I didnt say the server changed the tip after. Re read it: My wife did not finish submitting the payment That is, she signed and selected a tip, but was waiting for me to confirm if the amount was ok. I did not confirm and when the server passed by she picked it up. It was not a misunderstanding, and it was not an accident. The tip options dont offer exact numbers, very curious that the tip accidentally increased by the exact amount of $5, no decimals.

Jared was an excellent server. He was very detailed in his descriptions and explanations of things. He helped us determine which drinks and dishes we might most enjoy. The service, food, atmosphere, and even drinks were very creative and unique which is exactly what we were looking for. The little delivery robots are cute and even talk. I am hoping and praying this will one day become a classic spot in Austin. It s that good! It certainly fits with keeping Austin weird. I think the ube dessert, fries, and corn ribs were our favorites, but honestly we liked it all. Plan on sharing all of your dishes to get to try as much as possible and you won t be disappointed. Parking: Parking wasn t an issue for us since we went on a Sunday evening, but I could see how it might be on a busy Friday or Saturday night. They do take reservations though, so that s nice.

The environment is classy and fun, with an elevated playful vibe, from the ceiling cloud lights to the cactus gardens between each table. Our server was Jared, and he was kind, funny, and helpful. Do not go here and support this terrible owner. She doesnt understand customer service . The food was ok, the drinks were ok, our server was great. We had a large party l, we asked to split the check and were told we cant because its too much work for her snd she didnt want to do it. She had a terible attittide, called her out on how her sttitude made the sitsution worse and she decided arguing sith is was the best approach. We had a table that people werent st at the moment because we had moved around and were talking to eachother. They had 3 different people come tell is they were taking the table away from us, with other tables available in the restaurant. The unique decor and robots delivering some of your meal is adorable and worth checking out in and of itself, but then you take your first bite and.....its like everything in my life made sense. Had a great time here with some friends. Their cocktails were really good. Space Cowboy is a tapas restaurant so a lot of the items are meant to be shared. The portions are pretty generous for a tapas place however. They recommend 3-4 plates per person to create a full meal. I went with my fiancé and some friends. Everything I tried was pretty good. I can t say I was really blown away by anything though. At one point in the evening one of the little delivery robots failed to make a turn properly and spilled some drinks. It was luckily behind a table so no one got spilled on. I would say this restaurant is an 7.5/10. It s unique and the service is amazing. However it s a little warm and the timing of items out of the kitchen is a little weird. Some things come via robots and others hand delivered by servers. Our server was fantastic though, she explained everything in detail and was able to help us navigate the menu. For two people we had 4 cocktails, 2 apps, 2 plates, and 2 sides. It was around $200 for the meal. Pros: fast and great service, cocktails were great, menu is innovative, ube panna cotta, cowboy wagyu sliders, and robots! Cons: very small parking lot, warm temp inside, robots sometimes have issues, fries were meh, and beef tartare was dry and I didn t love there root chips or piece of bread they use. Both seemed stale.

Space Cowboy was definitely a one of a kind experience! I met friendly customers, some of which dressed the theme of the restaurant: either cowboy/country, outer space, or a combo of the two! It made the experience whimsical. Then, there were the traveling robots that deliver the food and beverages right to your table! I was so amused with the restaurant that food was almost the last thing on my mind. However, once the space balls tapas arrived I quickly changed my tune. They were delicious! I had to order a second round after devouring the first. I tried two mocktails. The one worth noting was Kepler Island. It was one of the better cocktail/mocktails I ve ever had! You must check this restaurant out!!! Parking: I went when the restaurant was not too crowded and there were plenty of parking spots. It was a Saturday night at 5pm. It might be more difficult to find a spot in the parking lot if the restaurant was fully booked. Kid-friendliness: This is a great place for kids and adults alike. My boyfriend and I had a fun time at this cute spot for a Sunday dinner. Our server (the human one) was friendly and helpful with suggestions. He was also very attentive throughout our meal. We decided to have several small plates so we could try different foods. After seeing them mentioned on several reviews, we started with the Space Balls. Ive never had anything like them and they were great! Very unique texture and flavor. We then got the Corn Ribs with Hummus. The corn was seasoned nicely and the hummus was different than typical hummus which was fun. We finished up with Steak Tartare and Roasted Octopus. The tartare came with a couple of tasty sauces which paired nicely with the meat. The octopus was honestly my least favorite dish only because the octopus was slightly overcooked and rubbery. We loved our meal at Space Cowboy this weekend! The theming of this restaurant and the robots really make it a unique and fun experience, and we were impressed by the quality of the food as well. 3 dishes for us were an absolute must: -Space Balls -Beef Tartare -Panna Cotta Both cocktails we had, the Lady in the Veil and the Smoke House, were also incredibly delicious and well concocted. Overall we were so impressed at the uniqueness of the flavors on the menu and how they managed to combine different global flavors into a true worldly blend. I also want to call out the exceptional service not just from our robotic staff, but also our waiter! I ve seen other reviews comment on the waitstaff being subpar but that was not our experience at all, our waiter Jared was extremely attentive and personable, and he really made our dinner great. Overall I think Space Cowboy is really one of a kind! Great vibes, unique cuisine, and a fun concept. Definitely will come back.

Eh. We got garlic fries, peppers, and hummus with corn along with a few drinks. The hummus was lacking but everything else was okay. Our waitress however was incredibly rude and that kind of ruined the evening. I much preferred the little robot that brought our food. Overall, the place is overpriced, the decor is cute, but honestly not worth it

The experience is astronomical. Staff is very attentive (Thanks Jared and chef JD). The menu is surprisingly well thought out. I Definitely recommend this place and is not super expensive.

Been here a couple times and it s been okay however I came in yesterday and the service was amazing , our server this time I believe her name was Stephanie was very attentive and recommended a lot of good stuff . Tried the Space Balls which were amazing and even learned what tapas are. definitely stopping in again. Food was amazing . Service was great. Atmosphere was very welcoming. Buddies and I will definitely be back for sure. Vegetarian options: Great options and modifications accommodated

This was such an awesome date night experience for tapas and small plates. I recommend not coming super hungry for this restaurant and instead expect to have bites and drinks while you enjoy the ambiance. Otherwise, the bill would add up because tapas range between $12-$27 each. The service and staff were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the menu. Foods: Space Balls ($12): 2 puris with one filled with salmon tartare, goats cheese, tangerine, dill and capers and another puri filled with tuna tartare, with a lemongrass, cillantro and serrano ponzu. Torched Crispy Rice Trio ($12): 1) Salmon tataki with coffee infuse gravelax, avocado & morita sauce. 2) Seared Tuna with citrus crust and serrano chilly aioli. 3) Seared beef fillet with brown butter Bemaise sauce. Cowboy Ribeye Sliders Duo ($17): Sliders have masala butter aioli, crispy shallots, & goat cheese mushroom Ube Foam Panna Cotta ($10): vanilla & thyme infused with be foam & torched seasonal fruit

Main entries were not good at all. We got the Cowgirl cut ($26) and asked for medium rare and we got literally raw steak. The farm house garlic fries and blistered shishito peppers were way better than the steak. Basically a mediocre restaurant in my opinion for the price of $26 just for a ribeye steak and nothing more. Would recommend longhorn steak house instead of this place. Drinks are ok not the best.
