This is the one. If youre trying to take a girl out on an exclusive, formal, sexy night to remember- this is the place. Perfect for pre-gaming, to get the night started or even a night ender. Its not that hype in here, so I would opt for the pregame. However, the furniture, service and sheer opulence of the ambience is sure to get the job done. Visiting Houston and looking for somewhere quiet to talk shop and have an Old Fashion while I network and I stumbled upon this location. The environment and service was outstanding. This place gave me KY and MD speak easy vibes which was unexpected in Houston. The mixologist did a great job with my drinks and this location also had an onsite restaurant that I visited afterwards. Ive since scheduled a few business meetings at this location in the upcoming months and look forward to visiting here shortly.

Great cocktail bar! Intimate, dark atmosphere. Dress code enforced (smart casual and higher). Vesper was the best cocktail a unique presentation and great taste! Japanese sour was good too. There 2 TVs inside the bar for sports fans Would definitely come back for a drink in upscale atmosphere

Great fun bar inside the Post Oak Hotel. Well managed and kept and the space and ambiance appropriate for the location. Dressy crowd and proper attire requested. The crowd is usually mature give the high class nature. Awesome place to people watch and interesting characters often come through. Can get crowded and busy depending on what is happening and what evening it is. Parking is only Valet. The bar staff is very articulate and attentive. WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! They will over-serve you; change your drinks around and then overcharge you. If you get angry they will ban you from the property. I ended up with nearly a $ 2,000 bill for about nine premium 1-liquor cocktails. The following day I went to the other restaurant bar in the hotel, Craft F&B, and management sent five people into the bar who cornered me and would not allow me to leave this restaurant: a police officer, a detective, two security officers plus a security manager for the property. Under duress the security manager made me sign a form, one which they did not even fill out, telling me that I was banned from property. The bartenders at H Bar are sheisters and they will take advantage of you; my recommendation is for you to stay away from this bar entirely! I have nothing but high praise regarding Craft F&B, however, if you go to H Bar expect to be overcharged and if there are problems expect to find no resolution. I spoke with Manager Juan months ago regarding this legal matter (as he referred to it); he assured me that someone would be contacting me but no one has. My lawsuit against H Bar for arbitration was blocked by Visa- dont go here, youll regret it! What they did to me at H Bar I also witnessed Bartender Zach do to another individual on Halloween. The customer had asked Zach for a round of three Clase Azul anejo tequilas and Zach asked him if he was sure he didn t want Ultra anejos; by H Bar s overcharging standard this would be approximately $ 260 more for each drink than regular Clase Anejo ($450 each drink and a total amount of $780 difference for 3 drinks). It is reasonable to assume that this customer had been drinking before he came into this establishment as he had explained to this bartender that he had just come from a funeral. In my case, I was noticeably intoxicated and indicated as much from the minute I walked into this bar. If you are reading this review because you have not been to H Bar and want to know which bars are chill in Houston then go to the whiskey bar at the Omni hotel; it is classier and has much better food.

Very rude, I was staying in the hotel and tried to grab a drink after being in the pool all day and was denied for having pool attire which after I offered to change I was still treated poorly, considering how much I ve spent. I really wanted to enjoy my time here but it was definitely tarnished by the fact I couldn t go from pool to bar. I want to love the post oak but uncultured staff makes it difficult.

We met here after a friends birthday celebration, for drinks. Amazing atmosphere. The dimly lite area was nice. The drinks were pretty good. Its small and intimate, so I would say get there at a reasonable time for seating. The seating is arranged in an intimate manner as well with different options. There are tables, conversation sofas, chesterfield style chairs, low tables for low seating, etc. You can tell its meant for relaxing, talking, and just unwinding from the day. Quite clever idea for a luxury hotel idea. Try this place after work one evening!

Absolutely no sense or urgency, it took 10 minutes just to get noticed because they are all too busy joking around and talking to each other behind the bar. One of them said, come get your brother joking around without any acknowledgment. My flight got delayed and all I wanted was messy fries, didn t know they required a sit down 5 course meal time frame. As I walked away, I heard one of the servers who just finally showed her face making comments about me as I walked away, hence this review. Flights get delayed, connections get cut short. You work at an AIRPORT, sense of urgency and respect to travelers already facing travels delays should not be too much to ask for. Especially with a well staffed bar

Visited this lounge on 05/22/2021: I noticed my review was deleted and i do not understand why that would be ? Positives: Nice lounge area, and wider selection drinks such as scotches & cocktails. Ambience and music is very nice and cozy atmosphere. Negatives: Wait listing while its first come / first serve, and clearly tables were visibly available. Servers were rude and only serve certain types of people, looks like some type of ism exist, classism or racism. Prices are over charged $20 to $30 dollars of normal charge. Purposely, servers in two occasions did not provided the itemized receipt for my check. I had to ask twice and the check was completely wrong by $30 on both receipts. IF YOU VISIT THIS ESTABLISMENT, PLEASE ASK FOR ITMIZED RECEIPT, BECUASE SERVERS WILL NOT BRING IT UNTILL YOU ASKED. My wife and I arrived there for date night, and the host/manager (did not know he was a manager until later, it would be nice if he introduce himself as such from the beginning) told us, it is first come first serve and there was no tables when we clearly see few tables available. We went to the bar to get drinks until a table was available, it took over 15 minutes for the bartenders/servers to notice us and help us at the bar. We ordered two drinks, and the server was rude and told me my drink of choice was not available and i asked for a different brand and it took another 10 minutes to bring the drinks. The host /manager told us a table was available the one we already saw and took my wife to the table. The server brought our drinks and check, which i did not asked for a check, we just got there and was planning on staying. The check was for $60 before taxes for 2 drinks, and i asked her if i see the itemized receipt to see may be she misunderstood on what i ordered, rudely she said she will get that. So, what i ordered and what she brought me was $18 according to the bartender. She come back later with the itemized receipt and she charged me for completely a different drink name and argue with me my drink cost that much, and with attitude she went back and changed the check from $40 to $22, even though that was not CORRECT PRICE ACCORDING TO THE BARTNDER , i did not have the energy to argue anymore and said ok, and asked to speak with a manger, which no one come for the next 5-10 minutes. Finally, i saw the host and asked him to speak with a manager and he said he was the manger. When i explained to him what happened. he seemed like he does not want be bothered and did not see it as a problem. He stated, do you want it or not, and i was shocked by his response and said i will pay for it, i just do not appreciate the service and the attitude from the servers. I promised my wife a date night and i did not want this experience to ruin the night and went along with the situation even though i was very disappointed and hurt by the situation. Unfortunately, the whole situation repeated itself when we ordered drinks in our table with no itemized receipt and over charges. And, when i checked my credit card account, i was charged 5 times for the same and similar transactions. Its very upsetting when you go out to have a good time and you have to deal and worry about these types of experiences, i hope the management looks into this lounge and take proper action so others dont have to go through my experience. I would not recommend this bar, and will not be going there anymore after this experience.

Wasnt sure what to expect from H Bar on date night. Its such a small bar in the Post Oak Hotel. But, my, oh my, it did not disappoint! We were lucky to scoop two stools up at the bar because it was so crowded! The bartenders were amazing! They were fast, cool, and just plain nice. It has a dimly-lit sexy vibe perfect for date night. Music was great too. We people-watched and had a blast! They served us complimentary olives and cashews, which was perfect with our Eagle Rare whiskey. I cant wait to go back!

Customer service this Saturday was abysmal. The bar was not packed yet it took such a long time to receive any drinks or food. Say about 10 minutes before drinks and another 10 before food for each item. When we arrived the servers passed right in front several times and glanced at us, yet never stopped to say anything or even bring the menus until we had to flag one down. The drinks were okay, but the food was delicious. We paid and left stating how disappointed we were. Then today I get an email from my bank asking about tipping this establishment a percentage way more than I had. Apparently it seems the employees that night decided to shortchange their employer and add the tax to their tip and rework the numbers so no tax was paid or something shady. Very interesting morals for employees in what should be a high class establishment. I will never be back, even when I stay at the hotel.

Had a fun night with my girl the other night. we thought the bar was gonna close at 12 but instead they closed at 1 which was a pleasant surprise. i honestly didnt think the bar was gonna be packed but it was, and in fact we had to wait. but the wait wasnt long, just about 5min. while the place was packed, the service was great. we got our drinks on time and the server checked on us multiple times and she was friendly. i would def come back, it was a great night and the drinks were strong. got a vodka sprite double with a tequila shot which was perfect. parking: you can either valet or self-park. the valet guy was nice and pointed us to an empty parking spot next to valet, so we parked there and it was safe.

Wonderful high class after hours drink. I came here with 2 friends for after drinks and appi. We were dressed for Gallery event we had gone too. And we had a wonderful experience. Vthe bartenders were VERY ATTENTIVE...we ordered sushi and right before going in.. i asked bartender if it had shellfish... i have severe allergy... he detailed every ingredient without hesitation and this SAVED my life... because seriously, i had no EpiPen on me.... offered something else... but i agreed to liquid refreshments... loved everything here... GREAT PLACE TO GO... Im from San Antonio and give them 5... if i could give them 10... i would... Fabulous place... environment, atmosphere, ambiance, attention, and service was 10++ all day.... N. I absolutely love the bartender Chris! He is an AMAZING bartender! He remembers his customers and what they are drinking. I was not happy about my friends birthday gift getting stolen. I do know that is not the hotel fault. We will be back for more food, fun and laughs

My first experience at the H Bar wasn t too pleasant. I was impressed with the ambience ,but I must say I didn t like how I was approached about my ensemble. I was very offended from the moment I walked in being snared at by the waitresses. I m aware of dress codes etc. especially at establishments like this. After letting me in, I was told by the door man to put my blazer all the way on and button it, because He didn t want to offend other people ... whatever that means! Next time have a legitimate excuse to harass me. I think it was more personal rather than forcing a strict dress code otherwise they Shouldn t have let me in in The first place. I felt uncomfortable and I refused to stay my date and I left and We had a great time somewhere else.

Great high end lounge in a five star hotel. The lighting is low, the mood very laid back, and the noise level is kept at a minimum. It is an excellent place to stop in for a drink if you are in the area. The service is attentive and quiet conversation is possible.
