This place is one of the best venues in Austin to see live music. There is a 3 tier balcony that wraps around so you can see the stage and overall it s not too big inside so it feels intimate. The staff is always helpful and courteous and the drinks are not outrageously priced. Love this place!

Came to see X Ambassadors and had an absolute blast! I loved the laidback atmosphere and amazing concert! I feel I need to mention that the security guard that night was more than accommodating when it came to really keeping people safe. My daughter and I needed to use the bathroom which meant we had to walk out of the upstairs bar onto the sidewalk, around the corner, and then back into the lower level of the bar. He had his partner literally escort us ALL THE WAY to the bathroom to keep us safe. He didnt give us directions on how to get there. His partner didn t walk us half way and then give us directions, he actually made a walking path for us to get through people. I just can t thank him enough for taking our safety so seriously. I was sure to let him know that it was so much appreciated due to a personal experience I shared with him which was unbeknownst to him prior to. Sir, I hope u r made aware of this review and again, your care was above and beyond what I would expect anyone in your position to do. THANK YOU!

Mohawk is great. The issue space is a very interesting set up for shows. We were inside for a show. PERFECT intimate little setting. Stage is a great height for everyone to see. Plenty of bathroom area. Bar was great and staff was attentive. If there is a show you want to go see here, dont delay. Grab tickets and go. BTW no parking. Just find a lot close by.

I went to see the Dresden Dolls and had a great time. Management was really accommodating regarding my disabilities and really did their best to make sure I enjoyed the show just as much as everyone else. I cant drink, but according to my parents the alcohol options are pretty solid. There is no tap, I dont think, only cans. Folks who dont want alcohol can get soda or water. If you are under 21 you will not be allowed in during Happy Hour from 6-7, so dont bother waiting in line. Youre only allowed in when gates open at 7. You should probably get merch before the show unless you want to wait in line for an hour just for them to be out of your size. Tickets were a very reasonable price, even without the artist presale discount I got. I think it varies per band though. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and I would be happy to go back to the Mohawk again for another concert. Heres the answers to some questions I had before going but couldnt find the answer to: The venue does let you bring in your own water bottle, but it must be empty. There are no bag restrictions as far as I can tell, but larger bags are likely to be searched. My small purse wasnt searched, but I think that the bouncer just didnt see it. There are no tables or places to sit outside, except for some benches that dont have a view of the stage. Standing room only is not to be taken lightly, but if you are disabled and cant stand for the whole concert, management will help you out. People do smoke and vape in the outdoor venue, so if you have sensitive lungs like myself you may want to bring a mask or a fan. Parking: Parking wasnt too bad. We parked in city parking less than a block away from the venue. It cost about 20 bucks to park from around 530 to 1030 but that was refunded by the city. Kid-friendliness: All ages are permitted inside, however the artist playing is not guaranteed to be kid-friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Multi-story building. If there was an elevator I could not find it.

Honestly, this is probably my favorite venue in all of Austin. Tiered floors allow the greatest vantage points for the most people, and the open air nature gives you more room to breathe (literally.)

DUDE!!! Mohawk, I shouldn t have to tell you this. Yo La Tengo is 40 years old. You should expect their fans to be as old as they are. How about a fracking chair here and there? No? How about a barstool? WTH? There were like dozens of sore adults hanging out above stage left stretching and squatting like there was an active fracking yoga class. If you re not gonna provide seating maybe you could at least talk your engineer into taking it easy on the stereo mix compressor so the entire audio didn t swoop in and out with every single kick drum note.

Mohawk is my favorite music venue in Austin. There are two stages (inside and outside) with bars supporting both. The upstairs deck area is a great place to watch shows from, if you re uncomfortable dealing with mosh pits. The staff are always helpful and do a good job of keeping the venue safe. I highly recommend Mohawk as a concert venue in Austin.

Arguably one of the best and most comprehensive venues in Austin. Two bars, indoor and outdoor performances, four balconies on three different levels, and an awesome pit space. The sound work here has always been great every time Ive gone (though Cheer Up Charlies next door can get loud over acoustic sets...), but bring your earplugs if youre going to be in the pit!!

Had a great time. There was not a lot of side seating, and it felt a little oversold for the available space. Overall, we enjoyed the event/ concert. Bartenders at different counters charged differently for the same drink order. Im not sure if this is normal practice or perhaps a mistake. I wasnt going to make a big deal out of a few extra bucks. Outdoor balcony space was very interesting and made for a fun experience. Parking: Arriving early to the event helps get a better spot with less walking. Paid $20 for street parking about a block away.

Recently fractured my ankle and the venue has 0 ADA accommodations. Really dingy yellow lines around sound booth they patrol which is understandable but when I asked about help with my situation they recommended i go to the second floor using the stair since they could make an accommodation for me on the first floor but the view would suck. The views upstairs also sucked because they were over capacity. Never experienced this at a venue in Austin. So disappointed cause I heard great things.

Came to see a show and they kicked out my boyfriend for underage drinking (he s 21 some think he looks young) but when he tried to resolve was met with a aggressive lady who later spit on him. The other lady then was just saying disrespectful thing and calling him a child. Definitely need to learn how to talk to people and not power trip.

Yeah I love the Mohawk venue. I lost my wallet in the venue and just wanted to have a beer with me friends, got kicked out. They didn t want to hear what I had to say or even see legal documentation of my age. But, the larger emo lady literally spat on me on my way out. I somewhat understand getting kicked out, but to be spat on by a worker is crazy.

this was my first time going to this venue and i Will definitely be on the lookout for an opportunity to come back. there is balcony space for anyone who is needing a lil break from the crowd and the staff did an excellent job of crowd control and keeping the pathways clear. its a smaller venue, so it feels much more intimate and it has some awesome views of the skyline and the sky itself from the balcony space. highly recommend to anyone who is into the alternative music scene in Austin!
