Went last night to see the Sonny Wolf Trio. It was a blend of classic blues and blues-based rock covers. The rhythm section was solid as a rock and their talent definitely shined, but the guitar work was amazing. The raspy voice on vocals, the showmanship, it s exactly what you want from a live blues-rock experience. The venue was great too, with great sound and good drinks (did not sample the food) but for me, the experience was Sonny Wolf. Make it a point to see them.

Music: ******* Friends continues to be the best Blues Club on 6th Street. Where else does a band perform a 20 minute version of Cocaine with 5-8 minutes of James Brown in the middle; the transitions were seamless! I was in Austin for 4 nights this time and walked all of 6th street to seek out my favorite music; I always ended up at Friends!

Band was great. Bartender upcharged for premium rum.because we didnt specify we wanted well rum. Just asked for rum and coke. Have NEVER had to specify I wanted well rum. Then argued with us about it. Watch your receipts.

We were on a walk and stopped on our way for some lunch, ended up staying almost 2 hours because the vibe was so great! Colleen was wonderful & we hope she has a happy birthday! We had the chicken tenders & fish and chips, both were tasty & good portions. The music was good too!

Lucked upon this place looking for somewhere to hear live music on Sunday night. Awesome band called Good Vibrations with the voice of Ericka was super fun, had everyone up enjoying! Beers are expensive and so are the tacos. Would skip the food next time. Not worth what you get for the price. But they definitely made up for it in atmosphere! The patrons were fun and friendly. No cover when we went so thats a plus. This place made our night and well return next time were in town.

The bands here NEVER disappoint! It doesnt matter the day of the week. Weekdays are usually not very busy. There is a food truck/snack bar inside. I am not quite sure on the hours. It is open, but the one time we have eaten there. The food is pretty good.

Overpriced cocktails, tacos from the quasi food truck in the back were dry, salty, and overall lacking and the guys working back there were uninterested in even preparing the food. The open sign was on but after going back there several times to order and no one was there, we had to ask the bartender what was up! The music was enjoyable though!

Super cute and big bar with a stage for live performances! Really love the setup - lots of tables and dancing space. The audio system was pretty great for the live performance as well. I saw a punk rock band play here with a violinist - cool alternative type sound, which was cool!

Been waiting for over 30 minutes for churros, until I went to ask whats going on with it, just so they could let me know its already cold because I didnt go to pick it up. The buzzer didnt ring, could they not check if theres someone waiting for the food? Otherwise, the music was ear piercing, the speakers point directly at you and its too loud for the human ear.

Music is so amazing- went three nights in a row. Bartenders however, worst I have ever seen. They keep your card if you open a tab and two nights they lost it. Third night the bartender was so rude and untrained that she had no business behind a bar. My advice, bring your own booze. Lol

I had a blast both times, perhaps too much the first time Fun music, each musician plays something different, the variety of the crowd is enjoyable. nice bar with occasionally good music, too bad the bouncers have such a bad attitude, throwing people out for enjoying the music under the false pretense of judging them to be drunk. roughly pushing patrons out for no good reason. I will never go there again, too bad for the bands as I like to support them playing there. well plenty of other places in Austin to go, 6th street is dying. it used to be one of the places we hang out when in town, but I guess those days are over until the bouncer crew is replaced.
