I cant recommend Shanon enough! Late one Friday night, we found ourselves in a tough situation: a contractor who put an offer on our house and pressured us to sign quickly was suddenly trying to back out, which would have been very costly & stressful for us. I reached out to many lawyers, most I couldnt reach and those I did talk to either didnt have bandwidth or felt it wasnt worth us pushing back. Shanon, however, replied quickly, listened to our situation, and (as we expected) saw that we were very much in the right and that we had the law on our side. He immediately understood the urgency of the situation, and his responsiveness was unparalleled. Within no time, Shanon drafted a strong, effective demand letter that got the contractor to resolve the issue quickly. Not only is he incredibly smart, but he also has a talent for boiling complex legal topics down to straightforward realities, making it easy for us to understand our options. I don t often take the time to write reviews but Shanon Stanfield deserves a public shout out. My family was in a vulnerable situation when we had a purchase agreement broken by our landlord. We talked to several real estate lawyers who weren t interested in helping us and didn t think we had a claim to title. We were facing eviction and feeling powerless. Then we found Shannon and he gave us confidence that something could be negotiated. He listened to us and explained our options, accurately predicted the outcome and kept us from making some big mistakes. Wish we had met him sooner. Shanon helped us make the best of a bad situation. In the spring of 2021 we finished our newly built home. It was supposed to be the next chapter of our lives and symbolize the coming together of our blended family. Immediately after we moved in we found the drier electrical was not wired correctly, followed by the hvac improperly wired as well. After that the rail for the garage door ripped out of the wall, we found mold in the garage baseboards, our roof leaked, our sliding glass back door was improperly installed, and our daughter cut her foot on a tack strip that was not pounded down. As time went on we continually found more issues with the home and felt the need to seek counsel. We found Shanon through Chris Kirker (of Kirker and Davis) and he helped us strategize a plan to document our issues and request a plan from the builder to action our repair list. Shanon was persistent, accessible, responsive, and trustworthy when we needed someone to guide us through this repair process. Shannon was able to relay our concerns to the builder and line up a full week worth of repairs which ranged from cutting the ceiling out to strap plumbing work up, address the leaking roof, and many other issues (there was a spreadsheet with 35+ issues on it after 4-5 warranty claims). We requested a redraft of our warranty to extend another full year, which Shanon was able to negotiate. All in all we may never get that excitement of a brand new build back, but with Shanon s help we feel our home is now completed and we have the comfort of knowing we are covered for another year if anything comes up.
