I had a consultation with Mr.Shannon, he was fantastic. He was kind, patient, and genuinely listened to everything I had to say. It was clear that he truly cares about his clients. I searched around and spoke to a few lawyers that didn t want to take my simple divorce case. I continued searching, and then found the Shannon Family Law Firm. The reviews are not perfect, but overall there seemed to be more pleased clients who used them. So I decided to call and I won t go into a lot of detail, but I have spoken with the paralegal Jodie Ward-House and attorney Richard Shannon whom I have decided to hire for my case. Jodie and Richard have been very kind and thorough in explaining the details of how my particular case should work if all goes well. My case is new and just starting. I may post another review in the future about this firm after my case is finished. However, based on the previous phone conversation I had with Jodie and phone consultation I had with Richard Shannon was very pleasing. We ll see how this goes. I would recommend them if need consultation about a divorce case. I have a better understanding about my particular case.

Richard is one of the most knowledgeable divorce attorneys in Central Texas. I had the pleasure of working on a real estate transaction with him involving a lot of emotions and he was a constant professional and him and his staff were extremely helpful in assisting me in dealing with the sellers emotions.

Richard Shannon is an experienced, savvy and wise practitioner of family law. He is a great believer in tamping down conflict between parties and seeking solutions outside the courtroom that minimize stress and anxiety among parents and children. That is no small benefit in this day & age when matrimonial & relationship discord, child custody, child support and wounded pride can take a heavy toll, both economic and psychological.

Richard was very patient and informative about my situation if I need a Texas lawyer I will definitely be using him and his team. Even though my case ended up being out of his jurisdiction he took the time to hear all the details of my case and let me know his informed opinion on what I should do and who I should get connected with. His consultation was free and he did not rush me off the phone, he was kind and listened to my whole situation and made sure he answered any questions I could have had before we finished our conversation.

I am incredibly grateful to Mr. Shannon and Jodie! I needed legal help and counsel to enforce a legally binding contract. I had no direction and was starting from ground zero to enforce the agreement. Mr. Shannon is knowledgeable, experienced and was willing to be patient with my process as needed one step at a time. Great friendly store. Chris and the staff there are always helpful. Its unfortunate that they are understaffed due to corporate greed, but it shouldnt reflect negativity on those that try their best to help every customer that steps into that store.

Nothing short of amazing - both Richard and his paralegal Jodie were so fundamental to my getting custody of my sons in a very precarious and heart wrenching situation. They are not only a great legal team but just some of the best people I ve known with big hearts. I was referred to this attorney by the Unbundled Lawyer services. I am in need of a family lawyer to represent me in the Georgetown area and they happened to come up. The phone number provided was that of the attorneys he answered was very nice very polite advised me to contact his paralegal JODIE a little after 8:00 am to give her details of my case that way we may set up a free thirty minute consultation. I called at 8:24 am Jodie answered the phone I introduced myself let her know the nature of my call. Right off the bat she sounded rude she seemed bothered from the way she asked questions to even interrupting me. I had a previous case that I am appealing and in need of filing other paperwork. I had done it alone at the beginning since dealing with lawyers isnt so appealing to me. I did everything the Law Library and court asked me to do I had two court hearings I had no issue with the paperwork that was submitted....again thats why I had two court hearings. Not sure what she was looking at on her end but she got ANGRY and pretty much started getting after me for this and that document not being submitted. I never in my life have come across such a nasty paralegal! She was even YELLING at me not sure if she was having a bad morning or what, but let me tell you if I had someone like that talking to my clients in that way I would fire them on the spot! I hung up on her after getting into an argument she had the nerve to call right back, but I sent her to voicemail. JODIE you are rude, nasty and unprofessional shame on you! They may get many clients, but loosing one says a lot I was getting ready to drop 5k and more on this law firm, but Ill take my hard earned money to another law firm whose staff really deserves it. I have been through hell & back you reach out to these people for assistance and this is how the staff behaves. Glad to know they showed their true colors right off the bat instead of later on after having to spend thousands of dollars. Jodie if youre miserable there you need to leave and go work at a facility where you are not in any way shape or form in contact with any human!

Would not under any other circumstance post anything publicly about needed help of this nature but wanted to warn others considering using Shannon Family Law. I decided to use them after a recommendation thru Unbundled Law Services, which is those seeking Family or other other Law help who cant afford one all out. Features under this method is Limited Scope or Unbundled services to name a few. I requested a limited scope service but stressed to Shannon about my limited amount of funds and stressed also that I have researched and educated myself in my area of need and just wanted assistance in making sure I have the correct filing forms in order for me to submit. During our initial free consultation, he attempted to use the same old line I assume he gives every client whom he deems as not knowing enough about the process, but re-itterated my level of understanding so that maybe he could change gears and maybe speed things along. That right there should of been the first big red flag in my face, but judging from the reviews I read and the Unbundled Law Services recommendation, I was sure that he could be of help. He told me how much he charged an hour which was $365 an hour or in neigborhood there of, and that $1500 would take care of the case with $750 up front, okay fine I paid that 3 days later having to borrow from family in order to do so. There after I dealt with Jodie whom upon waiting for the paper work decided to take the Friday off so Had to wait until the following week to get anything started which was anything but. It took about 3-4 attempts for me to send over a zip-file with all the information pertaining to my case I had compiled, when I inquired if she had recieved the files or not this 4th time and I also requested a timeline foe me to be able to hear something back concerning motions to submit, as I was prepared to submit another payment but something did feel not quite right. And as sure as my gut feeling, it has been going on 7 days til I have yet to hear anything back and have requested a full refund back as judging from what I have experienced so far, I am sure that I will be met by a its my fault reasoning. So now I am unable to attempt any kind of counsel representation to my issue and they have 85% of all the money I have towards obtaining one as well as borrowed money at that.I dont know where these reviews that I read from this law office came from, but to take money from someone who is dire need of family representation and not give a call or email as to the status of multiple request seems really unethical practice not to mention unempathitic and really heartless. So thanks for another set back your office has caused my daughter and I amongst many we have had to overcome so far. The far more gruesome of having to deal with, is seeking help from someone who is supposed to be specialized in this area and putting forth ones confidence in the very thing that matters the whole world only to get results such as this or the lack thereof. If you hold dear to that which you love and is important to you, look to put your confidence else where especially if you are limited in funds and promise to be helped by this office. I have done extensive research and have spent hours and hours education myself with regards to my case issues and only at the end to second guess myself and look for guidance from someone who rather take what little a person has and render them totally handicapped as now I cant even afford to submit any sort of paper work or motions on my own and much less so with not being able to work because of covid19, thanks alot shannon family law!

I cant say enough good things about Richard Shannon and Jodie. The first time I inquired about services, Mr. Shannon let me explain my situation and informed me of how complicated my case was( I knew it was but already had another experience with a different attorney that wasnt great). Mr. Shannon is always put together, extremely organized, knowledgeable, he knows his way around a court room, and kind and I appreciate that. I spoke and emailed quite a bit with Jodie, and she was so wonderful and knowledgeable about every question I had. I always heard back from her promptly (within minutes!). The arent enough good words to say about this law firm and how they treat their clients. Thank you!

I dont even know where to start... Mr. Shannon was and will always be a blessing for me and my children. He was not just my attorney he was there even in my more stressful situations throughout my divorce. I was able to just pick up the phone and call him when I was feeling devastated and lost, he always find the word to make me feel that everything was going to be alright. He continually reminded me of how strong of a woman I was and that I was able to be able to survive my storm. Mr. Shannon does really care for his clients well being, he is was always there when I need it to talk to someone about my very horrible divorce. He is very a professional attorney that will make you feel like part of his family. Even now, after my divorce was finalized he still sends emails asking about my children and moms health and always having warm wishes for us. If you are looking for an attorney that will represent you right, that will not lie to you and that will be standing when you are feeling that you cannot handle the road.. I feel so bless to have found Mr.Shannon law office. Mr.Shannon is a great attorney. I been dealing with my ex serving me over and over again. Everytime I reach out to Mr.Shannon he always gives his time to listen and give me advice on what to do. Im thankful to have met him. Oh and Mrs. Katherine! Omg! this lady shes amazing.
