Food was amazing! You order at cashier and they bring it to you. The cashier seemed to struggle with getting the order right, but it all came out ok. Dining room is a little rowdy so not the place for a quiet dinner.

We liked it a lot, the dishes were very well served and had good flavor, they served us very quickly and the cost is proportional to the amount they serve you. They have an outside eating area, so you do have to wait in line to order all your food and drinks, and then they bring it to the table you chose.

Just had a birthday lunch on Labor Day Monday for my 16 yr old. From beginning to end we had a great experience. They put a table for 17 together within minutes. Food came out in a timely manner. They do not allow outside cakes but it worked out bc we bought their 12 inch Italian cream cake and it was delicious. We have been before and the food is always good but knowing they are able to accommodate big parties is def a plus. All the employees we came into contact with were attentive and helpful.

As always, the bread they share is delicious. I would just like to see some nice lunch specials, at least on the simple pasta. Parking is a nightmare, while there were many curbside pickup spots available (all of them) I wasnt sure if I could park there to dine in so I had to sit and wait with the other 2 cars for someone to leave. Parking: There are alot of curbside pickup spots for to-go orders and they are always available. For dine in, worst case is parking across the street and make a run across the busy road.

Took the family here and we already plan to go back with the cousins and my parents! Very family friendly- you order right when you walk in then go get a table. Plenty of tables and the back room has extra room. Dont forget to save room for dessert! We got multiple dishes and tried each one and they are fantastic. For dinner I did the gnocchi Bolognese, my husband got the lasagna and added a sausage link and the kids had pizza- Everything was so good we ate it all! Highly recommend. Just sad I didnt get a picture of dinner plates! Parking: Plenty of parking throughout the plaza if you dont find a spot right up front.

Great value Italian food. Service is good, especially considering the amount of children that come through this place. I have been going an early dinner with family and its very busy and chaotic, but if you attend after 6, it likely calms down a bit. Also, the fact that they serve fettuccine Alfredo with chicken Parmigiano has me going back for life.

You order, sit down, and they bring your food to you. My daughter, granddaughters and I love it. This is our 4th visit in three weeks! It can be noisy, just like most Italian restaurants. The pizza was really good, not real cheesy though of that is what you are looking for. Pastas have been good so far and also the salads (which is what I have had every time) and sandwiches.. The kids get homemade gelato with their meal and they really enjoy it. The cannolis are excellent. Someone is always cleaning your table for you but you dont feel rushed. One of the best casual places we have found here in Austin.

This is one of those places that Ive only been to about three times in the last 2 years since honestly before then I had no idea it had existed but ever since my introduction formally to this place it is a place although I will go from time to time in the near future with family and friends mostly for its atmosphere and what it offers in terms of an Italian place especially items that you can buy like olive oils or sauces and of course my favorite meal the chicken alfredo is absolutely delicious. Granted, I should probably try more options than just chicken alfredo, so perhaps on my next venture, Ill be a little bit more adventurous, maybe even try one of their mountains of gelato too. Parking: The parking is pretty good and never seems to be to be full too much Kid-friendliness: I see families coming here all the time and they even have a playground

I ordered the Spaghettini Ortolano with no cheese which was pretty tasty. Unfortunately there is no non-meat protein option offered. I wished there would have been a bit more of the veggies in there as well. Its not the 1980s, there are people who dont eat meat for a variety of reasons and the food doesnt have to be lacking. Needs to improve on the vegan options and have a vegan protein option (seitan or soy curls would be the best with Italian cuisine). A dairy free cheese would be a fun bonus too even though theres no nutritional need for that (follow your heart parmesan or Daiya Italian blend are both very good). I would literally help them figure it out for free just to have a decent place for us to get Italian food in a nice environment. Vegetarian options: If you must go here as a vegan, the Spaghettini Ortolano modified with no cheese can be a reasonable option. Dont show up starving because there wont be protein option offered. I ended up grilling some seitan to go with my meal since I ordered takeout. So it went from bird food/snack to 40+ grams of protein and was very satisfying. I should have taken a picture but it was late and I was pretty hungry at that point.

Wasnt a huge fan of the desserts we tried, but I am not letting that take away from the rating. :) The parking lot is shared with other shops and small lot, with to-go spaces right in front, so keep that in mind when you arrive - might be a small walk to take but it was a great experience. Vegetarian options: The cheese ravioli with tomato sauce was delicious. Light, tasty ravioli with the perfect luxurious cheese filling balanced by amazing tangy tomato sauce. My homemade focaccia is MUCH better, though. Very easy to make. Minimum service but food quality made up for it. Atmosphere loud and cavernous/ crowded but lively setting in green belt. Sit in the back near a window or eat on their patio weather permitting.

We frequent Mandola s and we have always had a great experience. Anything you order - from sharables like fries, bruschetta, garlic bread to any of their pastas, pizzas or salads, sandwiches & soups - has always been consistently good. Also their service is quick and staff is very attentive. Our family LOVES their olive oil & bread. Atmosphere is decent although it can get pretty crowded during peak hours. On the bright side, they have a plenty of seating space between the front & back side of the restaurant. Do try this place out!

He did a great job explaining things to us and taking our order. The service was really fast, between the bread that came out first, to our appetizer, and then meal, and the clearing away of dishes as we finished them. I got the Chicken Parmesan, another of our party got a pizza, and another got the daily special. We really loved our appetizer the zucchini and calamari was excellent, and the chicken Parmesan was nice and crispy and had a lot of cheese.

The best part may be the homade deserts that abound. We shared a large piece of chocolate cake for $8. It was worth every penny! This will be a frequent stop when visiting Austin!

Both were the absolute worst Ive ever had of my 50+ years on this planet. The Lasagna had an indescribable sour taste like something spoiled. The Chicken Parm was rubbery, tough, and flavorless other than too much salt. And lastly the fettuccini was also just tasteless, greasy noodles. The quality of Mandolas is no better than a school cafeteria these days. Im done with this chain.

I watched the Manager, Maria, run the FOH on a very busy Friday night and she absolutely killed it. She was attentive to her team, her guests and helped manage expo to get food out to guests in a timely manner. She is an asset to this team with her obvious work ethic and should receive the ultimate praise from her superiors. I must also make note that the other gentleman running the FOH with her was also very attentive and helpful to all of the diners. Food was incredible. Tickets times were perfect. Hospitality on point. Keep up the great work yall. I would be thrilled to have people like this on my team!

I havent been to Mandolas since prior to the start of COVID when state employees were sent home to work remotely. And prior to today Id only ever eaten at the Triangle location...many many times. Today I tried the William Cannon location close to where I live now. I ordered my usual, the veggie panini. I was disappointed to see that fries have replaced that wonderful potato salad. I was even more disappointed with the panini. The bread seemed different from the thick nutty seedy bread I remembered. Bread today was like Oatnut bread thin but still not as nutty. The bread was mushy. Veggies mushy. I was so disappointed. All I could think as I ate is that it seems (in general) that as the number of locations increase the quality of food decreases. I hate to see that with Mandolas. That said- I also ordered a piece of coconut cake and it was delicious. It was fresh, moist, perfectly wonderful. The service from every employee I encountered was great and the restaurant was clean and comfortable with a moderate crowd for a Sunday 5pm.

Family friendly. Not too noisy unless really crowded so I go at off hours - very early for dinner. Parking: Close to entrance parking very limited. Large parking center across the street. Kid-friendliness: Kids adore the iced sorbets!

Hard to find good Italian food/market in South Texas. I drove 90 miles to get here. It was worth it, especially the cheesecake and pignoli cookies.

Was skeptical at first as you order as you walk in but the food was very good. The lasagna was hands down the star of the show. Not a huge fan of the pizza the dessert/coffee bar is awesome!

My Husband and I stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed! Mandolas has a great lunch menu, and even better portion sizes, plus complimentary focaccia bread, which is so so good!

1st time here. New to Texas. From Chicago and we have AMAZING Italian in Chicago so I was very leary about what Id get here. Absolutely phenomenal! Fresh! I was with a group and we ordered the garlic fries and brushcetta for apps. Came out quickly and were so good wish we had ordered more! Then our food came, I had lasagna it was good but not as meaty as I had hoped but still very good! My friends had cheese ravioli, another person had the gnocchi (looked wonderful and I will try that when I come back with my family!) and then another friend had the soup and sandwich. We all loved it! The bread and oil that was brought to the table was so soft and had just the right amount of seasoning! Wish there was more of that too. WOuld have been nice to take home some with my leftovers :-) After our meal we stopped off at the counter and grabbed a sweet treat to go. I will be back and very excited this spot is nearby!

Love this place. I should have ordered meat with my plate as it was only pasta. And they were able to accommodate my request for no red sauce. It was kind of cramped because people were having a holiday party in back but overall it was good

This one star review is a though one go make, and here is why We usually LOVE Mandolas. We pretty much opt to dine at this location for every one of our family of sizes birthdays, and other milestones. The prices are reasonable, the location is nice, clean, casual but not fast food atmosphere, and we of course love finishing dinner picking out gelato, espresso and fun baked goods. Being a large family, and often bringing at least 2 additional guests with us, after having some wine, food, desserts, plus we usually take home a dozen cookies, we are usually looking at around $300 give or take a few, which isn t bad for a party of 8+. Unfortunately, last night may have been our last hoorah at Mandolas for a little while. We arrived around 7:30 with a party of 8. Our order was pretty basic fare this time, a few of us always get the eggplant Parmesan, the kids always get the spaghetti and meatballs, Chicken Parmesan, Sausage and peppers and a Caprese salad for the keto portion of our group, Peppeoni Pizza and of course, Tiramisu and desserts. Something was very off with the pasta sauce last night. Not only was it lacking in flavor (definitely wasn t any or enough salt), but it just didn t taste the same. Very watery and bland. While that s not the end of the world, it is a pretty important element of the meal. The Caprese salad was just okay this time, usually it s very good. Very small amount of basil, no seasoning of any kind, very mushy bordering on rotten tomatoes. Not what we ve come to know and love from Mandolas and this is an item we always order. The real bummer though is the absolute hell that every single one of us, 8 members of our party and 1 meal to go that we purchased for my mom who couldn t make it, are enduring today. The most severe case of food poisoning I ve ever encountered has ensued, and the all but 1 member of the party aren t feeling so hot, either. 5 people who ate with us do not live in our home and we have not seen them in over a month, so there is no possibility that we ve passed a button to each other. My husband woke up around 3:00 AM VIOLENTLY sick to his stomach (TMI but coming out both ends). He doesn t usually eat much in the way of carbs and has sausage and peppers, some of the Caprese, but did sneak 3-4 bites of my eggplant Parmesan. I was hoping that the reason he was so sick was isolated to the sausage but a few hours later, my stomach began cramping and I ve been doubled over in GI distress ever since now going on 11 hours later. Both of my kids had to stay home from school today and the worst part about this is, last night was an early birthday celebration for my son who turned 17 today, so he is spending his special day laid out with SEVERE food poisoning. I called to check in with the other members of our party to ask if they were feeling fine, hoping maybe our home had just been hit with a bug, but unfortunately all but one member of our party is experiencing cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting as well. The one who feels fine, my son s girlfriend who we only met for the first time last night, was the only member of our party to opt for a pizza. I m assuming the same sauce is used, so either she has an iron gut, it hasn t hit her yet, or, she got lucky and it wasn t enough to make her ill. She ate two slices and didn t seem to be very fond of it and picked at it. Only other thing I can think of if it is not the sauce that caused the absolute mayhem that is brewing in our intestines is possibly the noodles since everyone else had pasta, though my husband only had 3-4 bites of my dish, and his stomach is torn up. At any rate, I cannot in good faith recommend Mandolas when it severely poisoned 8 out of NINE people, and completely ruined my son s 17th birthday. If a manager happens to read this, I hope that you are checking the kitchen for potential cross contamination issues, and I truly hope this is a one off incident but I can only guess there are a whole lot of diners aside from us not feeling so well today. Very unfortunate.

Also, you must have a coffee there. So deliciously smooth! Tried the vegeteriano pannini! My new favorite! Vegetarian options: Yes Parking: Plenty of free parking. Kid-friendliness: Free Gelato with kids meals. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

Shout out to the catering team. I was very impressed with the prompt and kind service as well as the value. Highly recommend for events. I ordered two meat lasagnas, cesar salad, bread, and antipasti. Everyone loved the food and there was way more of it than I was expecting for the price.
