I have hired the firms services on two occasions, the first was three years ago, they helped me obtain my E-2 visa, and everything was perfect. Last year, I contacted them again to process my Green Card, which was requested by my daughter and son-in-law. She had worked with Kalani before, so we knew we were in good hands. Kalani was recommended to us and we looked at the website and reviews, and felt confident in going with her firm. Congratulations your visa has been approved. I obtained the E2 visa. How did I get it? After interviewing with 7 different lawyers, it was Kalanis turn, number 8, and ready we had our lawyer. My first recommendation is to choose the best lawyer. From that first interview I knew that I was going to be in the best hands. My business is aimed at a very specific and exclusive niche, which is an advantage. Kalani is not going to experiment on you, she is going to listen to your case and express the reality to you, she takes cases to win. Before deciding between the eight lawyers, I dedicated myself to understanding in detail the requirements for an E2 visa and I was sure that I satisfied them, so what I was looking for I found in Kalani, he inspired security and confidence in me, which convinced me to Kalani said to me: Im going to make a strong case for you. And so he fulfilled it. When months later I read his explanatory letter addressed to the consular officer, wow...it was a letter that led us to be approved. They notify us of the date for the interview at CDJ México. I had a strong case, I had a good business, I just needed to be 100% for the interview, however I had a lot of anxiety, but a week before we had a preparation appointment with Kalani, we went over the interview and he told me: I have no doubt that you will do well, we have a strong case. From that moment the anxiety disappeared and there was only security and confidence and with each step to the window thats how I felt. That day arrived and the officer only asked 4 questions: have you invested this amount $$$...?, what did you invest it in?, how many employees will you have in the 1st year?, will the employee you already have work full time? He didnt ask any of the questions that I rehearsed the most (the ones that explain my business and how I was going to develop it and make it successful), I think the reason is that Kalani is going to explain everything so that they hardly ask you questions. The officer took the green paper (it means approved, the blue sheet means that you are not approved) and told us: Congratulations your visa has been approved At the time of your interview at the consulate, your business must be real and active, you must be qualified to run it, it must not be marginal and an important point: the investment must be substantial, in this last point I want to contradict the myth that 6 of 7 lawyers I saw before Kalani, that you must have +100K for your case to be approved, the law does not say that, of course it must be substantial. So I recommend that if you have a good business project, listen to Kalani, but remember she is going to tell you the reality and only takes cases to win. I recommend that you first watch her YouTube channel Kalani Hawks Villafranca Everything is very organized with Kalanis law firm, there is continuous feedback and Kalani or Jess, his assistant, continually answer all your administrative and legal questions. @Jess is extraordinary and will make organizing everything much easier for you, follow all her suggestions. I was looking to find a way to move to the U.S. on an O-1 visa. Kalani was very knowledgeable about the visa types and the work that would need to be done for my case. She was also very transparent with her answers to my questions, and did research where necessary, which gave me a lot of confidence because she was so honest. Communication was generally good and I really loved having Whatsapp communication with the firm, which made it super easy to communicate, especially with the time difference. Booking meetings was via a simple online booking system too which was great. Kalani and the team put together a pretty extensive case for me and looking at the sheer amount of case content, it was well-prepared and organized. My big objective was to try to get my status adjusted, but I also needed to renew my DACA and file an advance parole application. I wasnt very satisfied with my previous attorney - it was always just a one-instance meeting for filing my DACA, and then I wouldnt hear anything from them, it was like a DMV type of thing. I wanted to get my green card via a spousal case, but I didn t know what the process was going to be like. I knew it would be tricky due to my DACA status. I was referred to Hawks Villafranca Law by a personal friend whom I trust. My goal was to obtain my U.S. citizenship and hire an attorney who could put the application together for me. Kalani and her team walked me through the whole process, made sure that all my questions were answered along the way, paid attention to all the points of concern in my application and made sure I had a compelling case. Ive had the unique experience to have worked along side Kalani Hawks as well as being her client on my DACA case. When we worked together I was able to see first hand the high level of professionalism she carries with each and every client she helped. Kalani is an outstanding immigration lawyer who will make sure her clients are well informed and are aware on their options in their particular case. She does an amazing job of keeping clients informed and is responsive to any questions you may have along the way. In this new era of COVID, legal representation is evolving towards virtual meetings, and other online systems of communication/document sharing. Kalani is currently assisting me with my DACA Renewal application and thus far the virtual meetings have been seamless. Document sharing and signing have been secure through the online system she uses for her clients. Ive had such a good experience with Kalani. Kalani has been the best attorney I have had the privilege of working with. I went to a firm she was working with at the moment where she was thorough and courteous while taking my information. I told her that I was concerned about my application because I had an interaction with officers and wasnt sure how that would impact my application. She went out of her way to ensure that everything was filed correctly and that the application was perfect. I got my DACA a few months shortly after. It later came to no surprise that she was regularly volunteering her time at DACA clinics. I would encourage anyone to have her as their immigration attorney!
