Lebowski s Grill at Highland Lanes has the best burgers I ve had in Austin! I first tried them at a food festival downtown and have been wanting to go to Highland Lanes bowling for the burgers! Even if you don t want to bowl, go when there s league play so you can watch some impressive bowlers. But, back to the food, you order at the counter and food is ready quickly. We ordered the infusion with bacon and patty melt, the two most popular burgers. Sooo good, the flavors are excellent. I wanted more out of the tots and fries because they were kind of bland but I m not letting them deter from the burger! Go try one right now!!

The food is average at best but hits the spot if there are no other options. The people are kind so I will say the service is good. The atmosphere is outdated but after a beer or two you kind of dont mind it. Cleanliness has been very ever since that nice black family stopped cleaning it. They kept it very clean but now I guess they allow some kids to do it so obviously they dont do a very good job.

This is the Highland Lanes cafe. Dont let the location fool you. They make a solid burger. Patties are 1/3 lb and full of flavor. The Hawaiian roll buns melt in your mouth, and the seasoned fries accent the burgers incredibly well. Lebowskis used to be in my top 5 burgers in Austin, but with all the new places that have opened in the last decade, competition is stuff. Its still better than I find in most cities when I travel. If you are in the area and just want a quick lunch or snack, you could do a lot worse. Give them a shot whether you bowl or not. Solid place. Ill be back for sure. Definitely five stars for atmosphere. It s in a bowling alley. Could there be a better location for a grill called Lebowski s? Nope. My buddy got a burger called The Dude, which is just a single cheeseburger. I got The Walter, which is a double cheeseburger. I got a side of tots and my buddy got waffle fries (who orders that when tots are an option? Gonna get him some help). The burger was fantastic, as were the tots. I got a Shiner Bock from the bar next door and it was a perfect meal to enjoy whilst watching everyone bowling on a Saturday afternoon. Some people claim that this is the best burger in Austin. I don t know about that, but it is a damn tasty burger. I loved it.

Classic bowling ally grill. The burgers are good! A little noisy for some, but it is inside the facility, so be realistic. Parking can be a problem some times, but remember that there is a road going around the back that can let you exit out into the adjacent parking lot that has an easier exit than that of the bowling ally.

Two giant thumbs up and a high five to the lady on the griddle. Amazing burgers, very tasty waffle fries People had kept telling me to come here for arguably the best burger in Austin and I never really took the hype seriously. But ooohhh boy, this is that delicious greasy diner style griddle burger. The patties are aggressively seasoned and cooked to perfection, cheese is melted in to the patties and the buns are toasted on the griddle. Pretty sure these are homemade pickles in there as well. 10/10 all around. To top it all off they build the burger in the correct order with meat and cheese on top and the veggies on the bottom.

Julie at the Highland Lanes/Lebowski Grill is extremely unpleasant and made my family and I very uncomfortable while dinning. She became very irratated when I moved a rag off of a table so my family and I could eat at the bar table. She then became frustrated and started mumbling under her breath to other staff about us. The food was fantastic and the staff working the grill were great but unfortunately this little interaction Julie throws the entire Bowling Alley down the gutter. Will be bowling elsewhere next time around.

I was curious about this place since moving to Austin in 2018. I work nearby and drive past this location regularly. I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that the burgers ranked as one of the best in the city and I had to try them for myself. When I entered I was greater with that distinct bowling alley smell (not a bad smell, just nostalgic) and the decor was spot on. The kitchen was easy to locate and the prices were incredibly reasonable. I ordered the Dude burger, as is, and a large drink for my birthday . The portions were large, and the burger was in fact, delicious and filling. We ate and people watched. I will absolutely be coming back. Oh! And the music is ON POINT here.

My husband was craving a burger, he saw the ads for Lebowskis huge burgers, so we decided to go. It was really convenient since we live right on the other side of 183. We walked in, dude at the front was super nice, he directed us to the grill. We ordered 2 of the double meat burgers. When they called my name, only one burger came out. I said Oh, I ordered two burgers. Miss maam at the grill shoots me the ugliest face, says Nooo, you ordered one. I said I ordered two, but its cool, Ill just order another one. She still decides to hit me with another No you didnt, you only ordered one. I just ignored it. Girl, I get it, its loud in here and you didnt hear me. Just charge me for another one, its not a big deal. I didnt realize that each burger was $14 and change, thats why i didnt notice she only charged me for one. I wasnt trippin though, we were there to eat. So the other girl that was there put my order in, and this time around was a longer wait for the same plain and dry double meat with cheese. Big ol burgers, very little flavor. The meat was undercooked halfway into the burger. The order of tots was like 8 tots. I wouldnt recommend the food, but the bowling alley is pretty cool. They have bowling teams for kids and single womens team(s).

So as of recently Ive been getting a lot of ads on my phone for burger joints in Austin. One of those places just happened to be Lebowskis grill and people were raving over how good the burgers are.. I hopped in the car drove down and had to check it out myself. The menu is simple, very simple as it should be. The burger is broken down to its core elements. Bun, meat, onion, pickle and lettuce. It also comes with mustard and mayo but of course you can always omit any of these toppings. I opted for the Walter where my significant other opted for the dude. As for what side?? We went with the tater tots because we were influenced by the workers there. Simple ingredients do not always equal. A simple burger but sometimes thats all that it takes. This is the case here with their burgers. Theres nothing fancy, theres nothing secret, theres no hidden crazy ingredients that you wouldnt think shouldnt go on a burger. Were talking burger at its core here. Burger patty, flat top griddle, and other accessories to go on top. Thats it... Its elegant. If youre ever in the area or even if youre not in the area we werent, I took a 25-minute drive just to go get this thing!!! You must stop by and pick one of these things up. Trust me!

The patty was nice an thick but didnt taste fresh, more of a frozen patty, grilled onions were OK. I think what disappointed me most was the Texas toast, that showed they attempted to grill it but was not toasty at all. Got a side of fries, they were OK as well.

In the middle of its busy time the young lady cashier placed my order with excellent friendly service ,though there was a mix up what my name was put as Devin instead of Eric but the young lady showed sincere care to be sure that I get my order communicated to management and they fixed it . I will definitely be back we need more places like this that fix things with a friendly attitude instead non-friendly like I usually get at most other restaurants. This team was awesome today !!!!!!

Food is pretty good. Not sure why they charge Starbucks prices for bad coffee and have to charge 81 cents for water in a stirofoam cup.

Bar none the best burger in Austin and perhaps my favorite of all time. (The Frito pie burger). The owner and her two sons create culinary masterpieces daily with attention to detail, quality, and hospitality. The burger itself is an example of massive flavors perfectly balanced to create an experience greater that it s fantastically sourced and perfectly cooked parts. Absolutely awesome!

Incredible bugers! Has all of the fast food joints beat! Real meat that actually gives weight to the burger. Plus, bowling can also be enjoyed at the same time. If youre a burger lover, this place is a must try!

Excellent burger restaurant inside a good size bowling alley. Definitely not upscale but dont let that dissuade you. Order at the window, bacon cheese burger was flavorful and juicy with a tasty bun, wifes burger was just as good. Full sandwich menu and lots of sides available. Everything has a big lebowski theme on the menu. Seating available out in the bowling alley or in the small bar room for about 15 max in the bar. My wife said her captain and coke was almost as good as the ones back home, high praise indeed. Dont let the fact its inside a bowling alley stop you these burgers are the real deal. Game room in the bowling alley as well. League night when we visited so the bowling alley was packed but service was still quick. If youre in the north austin area give it a try.

We had the Poblano Burger and it was one of the best burgers we can remember having in a long time. Incredibly flavorful moist and tender excellent bun, it was just a wonderful experience. Served alongside what I would call perfect bowling alley fries crisp on the outside tender on the inside just great. Fine with a really friendly and helpful people behind the counter it was just a great dining experience. Wish I could give them six stars.

The burgers were terrible. The vegetables were NOT fresh. Both my son and I got sick. I had stumbled across your place online and drove a long way to try it. What a terrible disappointment. The lady at the counter was very nice and courteous.
