Catherine and her team were excellent to work with. They were communicative, moved quickly and worked towards a resolution which was what I wanted most, to get it done. She quickly grasped the issues in my situation and went to work. There was no dragging it out, or making me wait three weeks for a phone call. After hiring the wrong attorney to start, hiring Catherine was such a relief. I would recommend her 100%.

This is the first bad review I write. In this case I was prompted to write a negative review due to the desperate circumstances. My brother is going through a terrible child custody battle and we need to hire a pitbull lawyer, I did a lot of research to finally chose someone. This attorney has good reviews so I called and left a message for someone to call me back to schedule an appointment. It is now 1 week later and I still have not heard back from the anyone to schedule an appointment. If I cant get a call back to get an appointment, I have to logically assume I will not receive adequate assistance with the case if I were to hire her. Disappointing.

Cathy accomplished every objective I d sought for in my divorce and custody case. Her availability and communication was excellent throughout. She was fair with billable hours and upfront. The handful of evenings spent venting were on the house. Sorry about that. The gift of her craft is being assertive, yet approachable. I recommend you whenever someone is looking. I want to take this time to write you a thanks and recognition for what we did together. It is clear to me that without your patience, understanding and expertise the whole experience of my divorce and subsequent legal situations would have been a disaster. My situation falls into the realm of remarkable, record setting, out of the ordinary, phenomenal, would you believe and no no, make it stop. We spent years, we were out spent, strapped with a undiagnosed psychological problem, and opposed by six different legal firms. I was self-employed, a single parent of a two year old, four other children and tired, very tired. Charges of sexual abuse, violence and hiding information were made repeatedly. Cathy through all of this, you remained professional, understanding and ready to bring the divorce and ensuing battles to a conclusion as soon as reasonably possible. Your insight and commitment are very much appreciated. Your patience with my misunderstandings and emotional needs remains a source of inspiration for me. Cathy helped me through the most difficult time of my life. We had many issues to overcome, including a complex tax situation, a high conflict ex-spouse, court appearances both during the divorce and afterward when issues arose, and a modification to improve my custody schedule. Although nobody gets everything they want in a divorce, I dont think anyone could have done any better than she did. Her services more than paid for themselves. If youre going to be paying an attorney for legal representation, you might as well hire one that will negotiate the best deal for you and your family while providing expert advice and guidance along the way. Cathy was also very responsive to my needs, as was her staff. If I need to go back to mediation or court again, I will be contacting Cathy for help.

I retained Catherine for a divorce and throughout the process, even more than her knowledge of Da Law, what made all the difference was her empathy. Her concern for my mental well being was so, so appreciated. She made an unbearable process somehow much more bearable. As a parent, one of the most terrifying, emotionally charged situations Ive experienced is finding myself in a child custody lawsuit. To compound that fear, I had no idea of who could or should represent me in the most important battle I may ever face, and it was paralyzing. Catherine was highly recommended to me by a prominent Austin attorney who practices law in another field. There are numerous reasons Catherine is both revered by her peers and ranked as a top Family Law attorney by the clients she has represented. She actively listens to absorb every detail of your case which allows her to identify all of the relevant information, to formulate multiple strategies, and then to analyze each angle to identify the most effective strategy. Catherine seamlessly navigates the nuances which make each case unique, and her execution and implementation is consistently thorough, well thought out, and diplomatic There is a singular, unknown skill set that very few of us are aware to look for when researching attorneys, and it is vital. I learned this from closely observing Catherines conduct and process during our court hearings, and I only understood the importance when I experienced it firsthand. The attorney you hire needs to possess the instinct and intuition to accurately perceive, discern and react to everything that is not being said by the judge, the opposing council, any witnesses, and all other parties involved. Catherine Benoius (and her Paralegal, Janine Smalley) are the professionals to seek for those who are looking for a dedicated, level-headed and objective attorney and staff that can get you to the best resolution for you and your family. Catherine has helped me keep my focus and on the higher ground of the playing field with my ex-husband. One of her best strengths, in my opinion, is her ability to look at the big picture. Analyzing how others (being judges or jury or other party and attorney) may perceive, break down or counter a stance shows great preparedness and forethought. Not reactionary, she is quite methodical and thorough with a clean and tactical approach, without any veiled intention. Like all dedicated parents, I want nothing but the best for my children and like any mother, I would fight to the end with my claws out. Initially, it was difficult for me to retract and and be patient but the results speak for themselves. She knows what shes doing. Cathy Benouis is not only extremely competent, shes a saint. She was so helpful and level headed that she seemed to easily handle my truly ugly divorce. My daughters therapist spoke to Cathy for 30 minutes and immediately started recommending Cathy and Benouis Law to her clients. The paralegal staff is also impressive. I demand a lot from the experts I hire and Catherine has always delivered in a professional and efficient manner. A divorce is always a very stressful time so its very valuable to have someone on your side who is able to evaluate the entire process calmly and logically to offer sound, reasonable advice. At first, I was unsure of some of Catherines recommendations but later realized that they were the best options. I strongly recommend Catherines professional services. A great attorney is limited without an extremely efficient staff and my rating includess Catherines staff too. Catherines assistants are not only professional but courteous and always do what is needed to ensure that all relevant and required information and tasks were completed ahead of schedule. There were times when I was unsure about some of the information I needed to provide and her assistants were always there when I needed them. What I liked best about Catherine was that she went above and beyond what attorneys must do. She was able to see how the divorce was proceeding and make recommendations for even minor issues that she believed was in my best interest. At first, I questioned her decisions but later realized they were wise.
