I chose this law firm from my legal protection plan. I consulted with attorney Mario Flores on the phone for 8 minutes and sent him documents to review. His legal assistant put me on his calendar. Toward the end of that day, I called during business hours, but no one answered. I reached Mario on his cell phone, and he said his assistant messed up when scheduling. He said he had not reviewed my case and would not look at it until the following Monday. I reached out twice since then, but he did not return my calls or emails. It is apparent he is not interested in helping me further, but I would have preferred he told me that rather than ignoring me. My legal plan paid him a full consultation fee for an initial 8 minute converation, followed up by a one-minute call where he treated me rudely.

If I could give a negative star I would. I have more than 6 months calling,texting and emailing this lawyer and secretary to find out about my probate case but still no answer. It s almost two years since my husband passed away and have no solution with my case. I wish I had never payed $1,000 to this lawyer and wish I could have my money back since nothing is resolved. Anybody knows a probate lawyer that will actually stay in touch with you about the case? Don t go to this firm law they just want your money and not helo you.

I dont write many reviews because quite honestly, I dont see the purpose in them. However, after my experience with Mr. Shin, I had to write this. Joe was amazing! From the very first time I contacted him, he put me at ease. He assured me everything was going to be fine despite my doubts. He was easily accessible when I needed to make contact. Hiring a CRIMINAL attorney, let alone any kind of attorney is probably the last thing I ever thought I would need to do. But Im so glad I found Joe and hired him.

I had a horrible experience with Joe Shin over 2+ years. Contact me for details. He absolutely harmed my cases through his negligence and laziness. Check is Avvo reviews (he has them disabled). He went to a bottom 25% Law School and it took him 3 years after graduating to pass the Texas BAR exam. He didnt return a phone call for over 1.5 years until I fired him with a Motion documenting his behavior. When dealing with Joe Shin, know he will lie to you and that you need to document everything with him. Buy a voice recorder and record all your conversations. Make sure to get things in writing from him. Hes so incompetent, he will bait and switch you on details like hell tell you 6-months on an offer when its really 12-month and such. He has a terrible memory, he cant remember details, he doesnt look at evidence, hes really a terrible lawyer and hugely incompetent. Hes also a solo practice with no backup. Very risky to use this clueless attorney for your defense.

I used Mr. Flores for an immigration issue and he was very knowledgeable about the laws. He provided guidance on the best way to proceed, then helped us with completing the forms. He researched some of the questions we had then provided us with a list of additional forms required. He is bilingual and made us feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend him for your legal needs.

Paid this attorney for a name change and havent heard from this office since. I have tried to get information about the status of the paperwork but the still nothing. I have constantly been blown off, I had a bad feel about this guy when I was sitting in his office. He made it very clear that I was low level due to using Texas Legal. SMH.... BURNED ME !! I hate lawyers, all of them are just legal thieves.

Short story: Bottom tier public defender at best, highly incompetent and unethical. Joe Shin is the type of inept lawyer that will promise the world despite his inability and then leave you waiting for years for a terrible result. In my cases, Joe Shin didnt even look at the discovery. Joe Shin failed to follow through on every single commitment he made. The guy is so clueless he couldnt even figure out what my bond conditions are. Never pay for this guy, and if hes assigned as your public defender, I would suggest you try very hard to get someone else. You can expect Joe to corroborate with the State against your best interests, in furtherance of his laziness.

I called several lawyers before I found Joe Shin and none of them either wanted to be bothered with my case or had already gave up while on the phone and said well you can just do jail time its only like 3 months as if i didnt know that instead of fighting my case because im innocent. Joe was different he put me at ease and said we will not stop untill its dropped or dismissed. If you are in trouble i urge you to call Joe Shin.

Very rude Receptionists She basically told me theres no way they can help me without even attempting anything or setting appointment. She offered to set me an appointment after shooting me down, then fail to tell me that it was going to cost me $150 I told her i dont have 150 at the moment, i said i will have 150 2 days later when i get paid. she told me to find somebody else instead of just scheduling me 2 days later for an appointment on my payday

My husband and I decided to have our wills done. Mr. Flores was very informative and professional. My husband and I both had children before we married,so the preparation of the will had its complexities but Mr. Flores handled it beautifully with his knowledge and expertise he helped us create a perfect will that we both were very happy with it. The WILL, will serve our families, and everything else is in order. We can rest assure that our love ones will be taken care of, and most importantly tuff decisions should they have to be made are written out to keep anyone from having to make them. Its a big relief. My son recently got arrested for a DWI and was being taken to the jail. I called three or four offices and no attorneys returned my calls. Joe was the only who called me back and he did so within minutes. Joe immediately went to the jail and got him a personal bond. And a few months later he helped get my son s DWI charge completely dismissed. From the initial contact to getting my son out of jail to resolving the case with a dismissal, Joe has been fantastic.
