Great vibes and identity. They had live music going which is awesome. The food left more to be desired, I didn t love the bread on either the Reuben or the Mixed Deli. Reuben bread was getting soggy on the bottom. They Mixed Deli bread was lacking flavor and texture was denser than I would have liked. The Mixed Deli also seemed a little light on most of the ingredients compared to competitors.

Andrea is awesome; she gave me a free cookie! Food was incredibly filling. Most places in Austin take $20 and do very little with it. Here, a cup of soup, a sandwich, and a load of fries can keep you good for half a day. Ill definitely be coming back. Dietary restrictions: Pescetarian

I truly love new world deli. It was one of the first places I visited in Austin, and now I live right by there. It feels like walking into the 90s, like the set of friends or something, but its not kitschy on purpose, it just kind of is that way. From the red and white frosted plastic cups a la pizza hut, 1999, to the map of the world on the wall, youll feel like youre in your friends dads basement, except the food is much better. Sandwiches are actually really good, and the sweet potato curry soup is great. They have music pretty much every night of the week, and I really enjoy performing at the Monday night open mic. If you come a few times, you end up being on a first name basis with everyone, and it really fosters a sense of community. Ive met some great characters there, and some decent friends. Im grateful this place exists.

It felt like we weren t in Austin anymore (atleast not modern Austin). Very relaxed, small-town neighborhood deli vibes. There was live music and a friendly atmosphere. Nice selection of sandwiches. I wish I had tried the Reuben. The fries were great. No parking other than on the street, but the street parking in the area is free, and there is parking in the neighborhood which is a short walk.

My husband and I visited here for the first time today and I dont think well be back. On a positive note, the staff was really friendly (the woman working the register was so sweet!) and my husbands pastrami sandwich was really good for an Austin deli, but my cheesesteak was among the worst Ive ever had. The meat had a weird odor to it and was completely flavorless. Without a significant amount of cheese, and a lot of veggies, it was both bland and slightly concerning. This place has great reviews and there were a lot of people there for live music so I could tell its a local favorite! Just not for us or I presume anyone looking for a good cheesesteak. :)

We had some of the delicious Chicken Poblano and Tomato Soup. The atmosphere that Emma and her family have created here is simply wonderful. No sooner after we sat down did our soup arrive and we ended up having a great night here. We cant wait to come back during the day to get some of the amazing sandwiches.

Stopped by here for a sandwich, but boy was I let down! Upon ordering a Cuban sandwich, I received a ham sandwich - clearly a version that didn t match what was advertised. When I went back to check with the server about this, their explanation was that this was because I opted for the more than half sandwich option. I wasn t told about this when placing my order. Why offer the option and strip away the essential component of the dish? Pretty bummed about the service!

I was feeling super homesick today. This place hit the spot. Walked in and felt right at home. It s a medley of NJ s general stores, Jewish delis, and Greek Diners all rolled into one. The atmosphere was so comforting, the staff were friendly and upbeat, and the food was perfect. I had a cup of soup, a Pastrami Reuben, and a slice of carrot cake. Whoever s working the griddle is on point. Everything was delicious. Portions are huge expect to have leftovers. They re family owned and you can feel the love. Really glad I found this spot.

An interesting place - but I get the vibe it s not quite for me. Good service. Bad tuna salad sandwich vs what, say, Little Deli offers 10 mins away.

Took my kids to Beatles night once and was sold an old, hard brownie. Was too bashful to say anything at the time. I appreciate your response and time sir. This brownie was beyond edible. It was in a display case, easily visible, in plain sight. It was also near closing time when it was served to us. Lastly, stopped going on Tuesday nights due to weird, unwelcoming, vibes from your synchronized, dancing section, and bar staff. Who seem to be more personable towards regulars, which I think, is unfair. There also seems to be a man in the audience who taps his drinking glass with his silverware, who thinks hes contributing to the show. Peace & Love brother

Youre welcome, my liege. Didnt have the best time during my recent Beatles bash visit. Wasnt really feeling the love like I felt when I originally used to go there. Two members in the group have always been kind and personable towards me. Other than that, it seems like a regulars spot on Tuesday nights. Ive had better experiences on other nights at your restaurant. Thank you very much, may peace be with you.

Delicious and hearty. The broccoli cheese soup was superb! The hosts were very welcoming, and the food was served FAST! I dunno...it was kinda expensive for lunch... but maybe its like that everywhere now??

First time visiting after living in Austin 17 years. The inside was more spacious than I anticipated - lots of seating! The gal taking our order was really friendly. My bf said the French dip was good, however, my turkey and provolone was not. Probably the saddest sandwich (for $8) Ive eaten in years. Only had 2 tiny slices of turkey and served on dried out wheat bread. A real bummer.

Got the tip from a local that this place was a hidden gem off the beaten path. He was right. A five star Reuben from a self-proclaimed Reuben connoisseur. The Jewish rye was next level. Owner was super cool. Live music some nights and all weekends. Good food and good vibe.
