What a Change! Man behind the Meat Carving Station was very indifferent toward us and impatient with us. The veggies were ok, except for the green beans which were too spicy. The Sausage and Chicken were good. One of our favorite items, the fresh hot bread the individual would bring around never happened. Not the family friendly place we have enjoyed in the past....Did I say..... We really missed the fresh, hot rolls and the warm atmosphere. It will be awhile before we come back.

Our meat was cold, brisket was extremely dry, beans had no flavor, my husband s potato salad was scraped from the pan, ice was melted in glasses that had been sitting out, asked where more ice was and was told back there . Just awful. Zero out of 10 stars, would not recommend. However, Matt the manage did make it right and was super nice.

So my job decided to use this restaurant for catering. It was the first time Ive ever had this barbecue and I doubt very much that I will even bother going to the actual restaurant. With all the many barbecue spots around town this will definitely be at the bottom of my list. We had brisket, baked beans, and potato salad. First off the potato salad the potatoes werent cooked right, Some potatoes were hard while others were extremely mushy. The brisket was okay. It was served warm and I asked for lean and thats exactly what I got. They also served sweet tea. They called it sweet tea. I called it disgusting. Were in Texas Yall where you can get sweet tea everywhere so not sure how yall can even mess up something so simple as tea.

The food is great and the employees are really nice. For the price of the meals I would expect a server to come to my table to take my order and bring me my meal. This place is more like a cafeteria. Also the $5.95 for a bottle of Shiner Bock is way too much.

One trip can ruin a lifetime of patronage. I wished I had walked out before I could even order my food. Ive stopped in this location every few months for over 20 years and have always been happy until now. There were several workers behind the meat counter when I walked in with my family and we were ignored until they could finish their conversations. One guy greeted us as though he was going to take our order then quickly disappeared. Another lady showed up to cut the meat and started getting p-od that one member of my family could not make up his mind on the meat (there were no other customers waiting...this was a VERY slow night at SC). I asked for a lean cut of brisket and ended up with more fat to chew on that meat; I called her out for it and she put my plate up for me to take then walked away. The next guy was shorting us on a full cup for various sided but he finally topped it off. The rolls we received were over buttered and with soggy bottoms. A few of us ordered peach cobbler to go and we wish we had checked before leaving the restaurant. The cups were only half full wheras in the past the cups would be so packed that juice would be leaking out. Theres too much BBQ competition in town for me to return to Spring Creek. The cashier was perfect!

Id give this place a 0 if the rating would allow. Attempted to order. I was the only person in the place, absolutely no one waiting or at the tables. I walked up to order and began to order; I told them I needed it to go??? They told me I had to go over to the To Go order area. Why??? They get the food from the same area. Why couldnt they just put it in a Styrofoam container, add a scoop of green beans from the very line I was in??? A teenager dressed me down, and lost not only multiple customers from my family, Additionally I work at a rather large organization in Tyler, and I plan on telling everyone my story.

The food is delicious and tender, but if youre going for the first time, its a bit confusing. Theres also complementary bread, which is delicious, soft, and just awesome. Wheelchair accessibility: There are several ramps in the parking lot and the whole interior has plenty of space for pushing yourself around in a wheelchair, although you might need someone to help you with your food because its kind of a cafeteria setup inside.

The older female at the carry out counter was snarky and a bit rude. The brisket carver talked the entire time over my order while flinging his hair. Yet the brisket was seasoned to perfection yet a bit over cooked and many pieces dry. Would recommend continuing with perfect seasoning, and do not talk over the meat your cooking to reduce the spread of spit. If your hair is long pull back into a bun or wear a hair net. Rolls delicious

Weve always had good food and service at this Spring Creek, but not today. We went for my husbands birthday lunch, and ordered two lunch plates. The brisket was cold and tough. The Mac and cheese looked like it had been there for hours--dry and unappealing. The corn was dry and hard to eat. The potato salad and green beans were okay. The rolls were the best part of the meal. The staff seemed bored. And this less-than-appetizing meal cost just over $40.00! Weve been good customers for years, but we wont be back.

We have been fans of Spring Creek for years. They catered my wedding in 1996. We love the brisket and rolls. Last night I took my 4 adult children ($80.00) and we were all left very disappointed. It was 6:30 on Friday night and there were no baked potatoes. Ok busy potato day. No biggie. We were there for an hour and never received any rolls that are usually brought around and one of our main reasons for going. The girl with pig tails in the bread area said they were too busy re-stocking and didn t have time to make any. It was 6:30 on Friday night. First time ever that we have had this happen. My son was served macaroni and cheese that had been under the lights too long and was pretty dried out. We should have paid More attention when it was being served. Two people left brisket on the plates (18.65/plate) because the peppery crust was so over powering. Please go back to brisket without the pepper! Please educate your staff not to restock at dinner time on Friday night. Very disappointing experience for sure.

First visit ever. 2 Adults & 2 kids, $40. Very clean & organized. Friendly service. Baked potatoes are pretty big, which was really good. Brisket sandwiches with the BBQ sauce added onto them was so amazing!!! And I gotta add- the BBQ sauce here is very rich, thick & seasoned. Unlike most BBQ places where the BBQ sauce is just thin & runny. I have so much respect for the BBQ sauce here- I wish we could order it by the bottle!!! It really made my sandwich AMAZING!!! As for the sides, we were not impressed. Unfortunately there were only a few sides to pick from, none of which were impressive. The corn on the cob was very plain, not flavored at all. Highly disappointed. And there was a friendly girl who came to our table a few times offering fresh hot bread. We accepted the first time, but refused all the other times. The bread, just like the corn, was very plain, no flavor at all. Next time I come, I plan to order 2 brisket sandwiches with a couple cups of BBQ sauce. Forget the sides & forget the complimentary bread. I just fell in love with the BBQ sauce!!! Ill be back for more sandwiches!!! UPDATE:: My 2nd visit was not as favorable. They guy cut the meat for my brisket sandwich way too thick. Then it had the black stuff on my meat like the burnt outside part, & I just hate that part. I may or may not come back.

After bringing our food to the table my husband went back to ask for a plate for me. NO ONE answered when he called out at the cashier stand. No one was in the take out area or the desert/bread area. Finally someone at the meat counter provided a plate. The girl serving dessert was angry and surly, didn t offer any bread and was rude when we asked for cobbler to go. There were only 4 tables of customers the entire time we were there. The service was by far the worst ever. We will not recommend this place to anyone or come back.

And the 3... 3 inch long paper thin cuts of beef brisket was less than an ounce. . The pinto beans were 2 teaspoons. And so was the coleslaw....all for $21.00...the chicken had no taste of. Bbq or smoked. Was really baked...and the 4 bites of beef brisket was greasy and tasteless. Definitely not smoked on a smoker. The little breads are usually sooo good. I could not bite into it..like it had been rewarmed too many times. Tuff bread??? Seriously!!! I understand portion control and profit line...but this restaurant will definitely not be getting my business or referrals anymore. Staff were friendly. Very bad customer service. Arrived with a party of 25. Asked male manager if staff could get table ready. He refused and told us we could move the tables if we wanted them as a group. At one point he made his way to the bread counter and after that his staff never came back around with additional bread. We had to get up and request more bread. Won t be back! Kid-friendliness: Non

We dont really go here often at all. Maybe 2x since we have lived here for past 25 yrs. We have our go too places we rotate to. Figured we would try something different and BBQ sounded good tonight. Should have known when we pulled up and parking lot was empty. Only 2 other vechiles in parking lot. It was 5:20 so just figured, heck its early so lets just go in and see. Walked up and my second clue that this was not the place was the prices. $18.95 for one plate! You got 2or 3 meats and 2 sides. Chose Mac and cheese, beans, brisket and sausage. Everything tasted like last weeks leftovers. Mac had no flavor, it was dry not creamy and was room temperature cool. Beans no flavor and just tasted old. Those didnt even get eaten. Brisket was not warm, it was very dry. Sausage extremely dry. Definitely not fresh. All should have been being it was 5:20 when we got there. The rolls were hard. We were offered some fresh rolls. Those were hard and not fresh at all either. Should have complained to the manager. It was that bad. We will definitely NOT be back at this place. Definitely dont recommend it all. One the food was awful. And for the extremely high price you pay not worth it for the ammount or quality of the food. You can go TX Roadhouse and get a 12oz Ribeye Steak, side and house salad for the same price as Spring Creek Leftovers, and old bread. Do yourself a favor pass right on by this place. Dont even stop.

No gloves are being worn while my food was being prepared. Young guys were eating on the prep line. I addressed someone about the issue and was basically told its no big deal and that the guys will be told not to eat where customers can see. This is absolutely ridiculous and I will not be returning.

This place doesnt practice proper food handling!! Two employees handled my sandwich with no gloves, when they had them right there. While getting a refill on my tea, I witnessed an employee eat out of his hands on the food line! Manager was right there, when told he made excuses for the improper food handling. Been eating here for 20 years, never again. Bad management ruined a good place.

BBQ isnt cheap these days (was it ever? I dunno). But if the BBQ is good, the price is worth it. I visited Spring Creek Barbeque at 6pm on a Wednesday. They werent super busy, which is a shame, because the BBQ was on point. But first, I want to talk about the people--everyone was super friendly, served with a smile, and happily helped me out when I needed to find the silverware or a bottle opener for my beer. I had the 3-meat plate: St. Louis style ribs, black pepper sausage, and brisket. I paired that with pinto beans and mac and cheese with banana pudding for dessert. The brisket was amazing. Melt-in-your-mouth tender, with just a bit of fat on it, like a brisket should. Each bite had a wonderfully smokey flavor, and I would have been satisfied with just having this. That said, the black pepper sausage is also out of this world. Its hands-down better than standard BBQ sausage, with a ton of peppery goodness in every bite. The St. Louis style ribs were fat, meaty, juicy, and fell right off the bone. All of these were so tasty, I ate a good portion of them without even using barbecue sauce. I didnt want to cover up the flavor of all that delicious meat! The sides were perfectly acceptable. Im not a big mac and cheese fan in general, but theirs was as good as any Ive had at any BBQ place. Its not Kraft or Velveeta from a box, which gave it points in my book. The beans were tasty, if not overly spiced. A bit of Tabasco would have hit the spot. The dinner roll had a nice firm top crust with a fluffy and soft interior. I was offered another partway through my meal, but I was already having trouble finishing everything in front of me. I ended up leaving some of the dessert and sides, but there was no way I was going to leave a scrap of that delicious meat on my plate. The banana pudding tasted like Jello brand banana pudding with Nilla wafers. And thats not a complaint--it reminded of my moms, which gave me big comfort-food vibes. Ive eaten here (and been very happy) many times, but usually via delivery. I havent been inside in a while, so I took this opportunity to whip out my camera for a review.

They have spots that say call for curbside but the dont do curbside anymore but do still offer Togo orders you just have to go inside and get yourself which brings me to the 4 stars as I have a handicap mom who chose this to eat after her dr appointment and she cant move the right side of her body so we called it in pulled in to curbside called number didnt work so I called the number I ordered on and told them they said they dont bring out anymore so why are the signs still on parking spots ? 1st reason being I cant leave my mother in the car alone to go in to pick up she wanted bc we thought they had curbside bc no where else said different (such as info Google on them) had never eaten here before and all she wanted was chopped beef sandwich they asked small or large she said large when I showed her back at the car she was charged almost $12 for a sandwich that did not look large in anyway couldve passed for a mcdonlads burger size even Arbys has bigger sandwiches and you can get 2 for $6 .........but my 2nd problem about the signs is its also taking up parking spaces people think they cant use bc of a service they dont offer but still have signs up for , I cant say if the food was good or not but Im guessing it wasnt worth how much they charge for the little you get

The meat here is reheated you can tell by the hard texture of the ribs . So gross to pay 18 bucks for old food is gross . I can t believe people eat here ! The beans had food from the other food on counter I just couldn t believe the quality of food was so low for the price . Food poison central is what it should be called! Ribs tasted like they cooked it stored it in fridge heated it up again but too long and then left it on a counter for hours !

The resterant was very clean, the people are very nice and polite.
