I had the best luck in selecting David Thomas as my attorney to battle my ex on assault charges that she brought against me. Initially they were the only practice that would take my call and get me in same day. They laid everything out and gave me realistic expectations. This Law Firm was absolutely incredible. From the first day, David T gave me insight into what I should expect. He made the process clear and set the right expectations with me. I was in a mess. This is an overdue review seeing as how my case was closed in early December. Before I get started, the biggest thanks to David, Hayden, Ivan, & their paralegal staff. My appreciation goes far beyond this review. Ill do my best to summarize my experience with David Thomas & his team which were absolutely fantastic. Starting out I had never been through anything like this before before & so this was a pretty stressful experience from start to finish with a few ups & downs, but David & his team were ultimately able to get my case DISMISSED. Pre-Consultation: David responded almost immediately to my message even though it was the late afternoon on a Sunday. He was able to answer some of my basic question which calmed my immediate & obvious anxiety. We also quickly setup a time for a formal consultation. Consultation: David was very profession & approachable in the meeting with my wife & I. I shared all the info I had at the time, he ran me through the basics of a DWI case, rough timing, & some of the potential outcomes based on the information I gave him. He said we always shoot for a Dismissal but obviously not guaranteed & in my case it might be difficult for a full dismissal (Which they ended up getting). The overall process (~1.5years): David & his team were very communicative, & understanding early on of my checking in. He always shared what they were doing, if anything was needed from me, & provided me with a number of things that I could do that would help them improve my outcome. I think that it is worth noting that I did EVERYTHING that was recommended, I put in the work, & didnt expect David & his team to make magic happen with no effort from my end. One example of this teams dedication to their clients (not just the case) is that during this time I had been working towards a new job (contracting for over 6m). I shared this with David because I was being asked to come on fulltime & wanted his POV on what a potential employer might see on background checks, etc of an open case. I wanted to be prepared should these questions come up. After seeing my message he called me, we discussed current things in my case, & took the time to answer all my questions. Our call lasted 30+ min & the point is that he was willing to stay on a call, & answer my questions to help me. At every point I felt taken care of & heard by this team. I could easily go on with more examples like the above, but I honestly can not recommend David T & the team enough. If you need a DWI attorney this would be a fantastic choice, follow their recommendations, & im sure youll end up in a good place.

This law firm will quite literally change your life for the better. I ve worked with this law firm for three years. During those three years, I was a complete mess. I was anxious, depressed, hopeless and sure the state had me dead to rights. During the three years, they contacted me regularly, updating me every court date I had. I voiced concerns about my deepest regret about all of it was coming to terms I ll never go back to my old career. UPDATE AND RESPONSE TO FIRM: In response to the business response... 1. I SAID I met with David Thomas in the post. 2. Obviously the referer was wrong about your service. 3. What is wrong with a mental health evaluation? Are you against positive mental health in general? Or are you trying to paint me as a non-competent person just because there are health issues...which is pretty low even for you. 4. Pretty much everything that you claimed that happened in the meeting was a complete utter LIE. I never yelled at Mr. Thomas. We never talked about duration time of the case at all. I was never declined your service- I literally ran out of there myself. Its definitely laughable I got such a hostile response that proves my point. There is really no added benefit to me from this review- just wanted to let people know your true colors. I kind of had to write this review for my sanity and respect for myself and just I guess educate others on my personal experience. I went to see Stephen Bowling at a great recommendation from a friend. I was in the same DWI trouble and wanted some advice into the situation. I was surprised to see the other guy, David Thomas walk in (who didnt think it was necessary to introduce who he was or get my name ) and started with a gruff so what did you want here. He then proceeded to belittle me and would ask me questions without waiting for the answer and interrupting me. He read the whole police report to me ( I had already seen and processed it) then continued to ask me what it is I was looking for and he couldnt give me 100percent chances of getting off. I told him I obviously knew that I was looking for a professional opinion on the matter to which he continued to argue with me about what I was looking for and what was achievable. I was so astounded by his behavior I made the first excuse to leave and then went to my car where I had a panic attack trying to process what just happened. I would really avoid this psycho at all costs considering how aggressively and with animosity he treated me for no reason at all. Ps. Im sure his ego will come for me but I dont care...everybody deserves to be treated with respect

David M. Thomas, J.D. is quite clearly Austin s BEST Criminal Defense Attorney!! I was a new resident of Texas (and, therefore, unfamiliar with state laws) and had a $15k bail hanging over my head, so the road ahead seemed long and terrifying. But, with David s integrity, professionalism, and extensive knowledge of the legal system s framework (especially since he has spent time on the prosecutor s side in his earlier years when he worked as a police officer), he took the necessary steps to get me released from my initial post-arrest incarceration within a few days FOR ONLY $40!!! A one time payment of $40 and I believe that was just the Admin Fee. Following my arrest, we met in person and his calm demeanor made me feel extremely comfortable and reassured. He listened to every detail, which he then used to fight for my rights in the courtroom. He was able to get the prosector to agree to dismissing my case altogether (which consisted of a second degree felony drug charge) after the completion of a few hours of online community service!!!! I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone! Smart man, knows his stuff, and great at communicating with his clients.

David Thomas was realistic with the expectations and communicated every step of the way. He took something that had been causing me an enormous deal of stress and was able to not only improve my situation but resolve it completely. He went above and beyond connecting with me over the phone during a time of social distancing and was able to work on my case in the same manner with ease and timeliness. On what seemed to be the worst/most embarrassing day(s) of my adult life David (lawyer) was swift in having me released on bail, and took time to make me feel that it wasnt the end of the world.Through out the entire process, communication flowed well and though the judicial process can take some time, it was worth having this legal team on my side. Their pricing is more than fair for the services they provide. Id choose them time and time again to represent me. At the end of it all, what they had negotiated on my behalf was a miracle. In fact, the court financial clerk was curious to know who my lawyer was, as he hadnt seen such a negotiated plea like mine before. He told me I was smart to hire who I did.... I worked with David Thomas this past year to help me through my DWI case and he made everything about the process effortless for me. Stephen, David , Jenny and everyone else behind the scene was amazing to work with. I met with Stephen & Jenny first and Jenny was my point of contact from there on and she did an amazing job. Everyone on the team worked together so well, I was always up to date on what was going on via email or a text/call. I also knew exactly where I needed to be and what time/day to be there. Even if I didnt meet with jenny it was someone on the team and knew exactly what was going on. Jenny would then follow up later to make sure everything was okay and to see if I had any questions. They also do their research on the case and it didnt feel like I was another number in line. They laid out all possible options I was looking at and answered a lot of questions I had about being the best way to go about handling the situation. Id had no clue where to start when I had to look for a DWI lawyer. Im so, so glad my friend pointed me toward David Thomas. I could tell he knew what he was doing and had my best interests at heart.
