Apart from his legal brilliance, he has a remarkable way with words, which proved to be especially important. At the end, Dan pulled a magic rabbit out of his hat. During what felt like a legal masterclass in federal sentencing, he secured me 3 years probation, an outcome I could only have dreamed for at the beginning of the case. Dan changed the course of my life and gave me a second chance. I m incredibly thankful to have had Dan on my side as my attorney. I was facing a felony charge and a very scary and uncertain future. With this being my first offense ever, I had absolutely no knowledge of the judicial process or what was to come, but with Dan s extensive knowledge and skill in criminal law, he was able to guide me and assure me every step of the way (it also helped that he had a great sense of humor, which brought some levity to an otherwise very serious situation). In the end, he was able to negotiate my original charge down to a Class B misdemeanor with deferred adjudication. Thanks to him, I m finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and find a way to put a very unfortunate event in my life behind me. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a criminal defense attorney.

I was facing a charge that held a 2-10 year sentence,and a misdemeanor assault charge. With Dans help and experience, they dismissed both cases!! The best attorney in Austin hands down. He makes miracles happen. My life was in ruin, my options were limited, my case was hopeless for the outcome I wanted from every attorney I spoke to. Mr. Wannamaker is a VERY wonderful attorney! He defended my son on charges that carried a life sentence, but he fought tooth and nail and got him less than 20 years. Mr. Wannamaker held my hand and walked me through this entire process by always answering my questions of concern and showing me that he genuinely cared about my son. Dan defended a young lady who is like my daughter. I have never had to go through anything like this before and Dan made things so much easier to get through. I expected a very professional, nothing to say to you lawyer and he was totally the opposite. You got the feeling that he really cared for you and his client. He kept us totally informed about everything. He did an excellent job in her defense and was reasonably priced. I would DEFINITELY use him again if I needed someone. Couldnt ask for a kinder person who could also do exactly what he needed to do in the court room

Many years ago Dan represented me on a really old federal issue and I must say Dan is absolutely one of the best attorneys. He is persistent, genuine, hard working, and is undoubtedly one of the best not only in Texas, but I would argue in the country. Great attorney, Hyper responsive, reasonably priced. Dan worked with me on my case for just over 12 months, but then after the outcome he was still available for emails and phone calls when I had questions. And I knew he was working some high profile cases at the time so I could easily have felt brushed aside. One important thing to know is that this is not a shop, where he turns your case over to some junior attorney and you only speak with him on an initial consultation. Many attorneys use that trick...let the most senior partner speak with potential clients, then you hire the firm, and you end up with a green attorney who is overworked and underpaid. Nope. Not here, not with Dan. Sucks you got in a situation where you need someone like him...but I wouldnt recommend anyone else. Dan is the man!

Dan was my attorney for a Federal 200 lb marijuana case. ima third time offender and was worried about being labeled a career offender which carries 12 yrs. He argued my case down to 4yrs and i didnt have to do anything except trust him. i highly recommend him to anyone that is praying for a miracle. MT
