I visited here for the first time the other day. I went for the Barks for Beers event. I had the Talking Dog Session IPA. The beer was really nice. I like the atmosphere here and the bartender was friendly. They are dog friendly and have nice outdoor seating areas, and provide dog water bowls and water for your dog. Street parking is limited, and garage parking is pretty pricey. So, if you make it out here, spend some time enjoying the area.

This is by far the best place to go on Rainey Street. I live on Rainey for almost 5 years and saw places come and go, but this is by far the best and hope it stays forever. The people are great and the house beers are delicious. They not only brew their own beer, they also serve delicious drinks.

My favorite bar to catch a game on Rainey. TVs both inside and outside. with Lot of semi regulars for the area. Food truck park is right next door but there is a Jamaican Grill truck right on property that has awesome wings and occasionally oxtail which I recommend if they are serving it. They are dog friendly, have a foosball table and a couple other games inside.

Every time I come to this establishment it just gets better. The decor is warm and cabiny with a bunch of TVs and a few games. They are constantly upgrading their environment with fun activities and events. The service is always awesome and happy to make you a drink youd enjoy. You can easily sample before getting a full beer. They have private bathrooms and a big shared washing sink outback that is much appreciated. The drinks are always top tier and this is my favorite brewery to have a drink and chill.

I DONT GO TO A BREWERY TO LOOK LIKE A BUDDHA! All these giddy reviews with little to no mention of service. I go to this new brewery on a slow, rainy Saturday shortly after opening, take a seat at the bar and 15 minutes elapses before I finally get my pint. The bartender, (young man, black, merely a descriptive, not racist in case owner / management cares to read and follow-up on comments, positive or negative) deserted me as I was sampling the Italian Pilsner and asking about the dark lager; he slipped away to serve two others who arrived after I did, however, I respect any bar workers ability to multitask. Meanwhile, minutes are ticking by and Im being ignored. For the record, Im well into my 70s and still enjoy beer and asking intelligent questions anytime I come into a new tap room or brewery for the first time, this time under the incentive of the Barks for Beers campaign for May. Im not going to speculate if that may have been part of the bartenders lack of interaction. Perhaps it was a subtle, subliminal form of age discrimination. At minimum it represents a shortcoming on managements part to properly train for hospitality and welcoming folks other than young urbanites, hipsters, Millennials, Gen...s, etc. I could mention that a co-worker in the same bar space, wiping and putting glasses away, cast no eye-glance my way or demonstrated a minimal awareness of my looking like a Buddha at the bar. Location is difficult for anyone other than arriving on foot or bicycle. The surrounding high-rise construction noise is what implodes on your savoring a beer if you decide to sit outside in the ample-sized beer garden. I didnt stay put to finish my quaff; instead escaped to Kokos for the real brewery and Biergarten experience. The owners will put faith and confidence in their business name, but in my humble opinion this place is far from what I regard as a brewery / beer garden.

One of the newest brewery additions in town, but already making great beer. Somewhat limited, but well rounded options (think pale ale, one hazy IPA, etc., not milkshake stouts or sours). Fair prices for the Rainey / bar setting. Lots of shaded outdoor space. Cool surprise for this part of downtown.

I was up the street trying to get an idea of what Austin was all about. I saw that they had very high reviews so I ubered over here. I just want to say that this is the best bar that I have been in In Texas. Not only did I receive a very friendly welcome from the moment I walked in but I also was given a hand written list of the best restaurants to take my significant other to. They have very good beer and mixed drink options but the staff will be what wins you over. Please give this spot a visit.
