This was a great and comfy breakfast spot with good people and chill music. The portions were huge, which is great bang for your buck. Staff checks on you often are kind and welcoming. The only thing were the flies. I know this is uncontrollable, but it would be nice to not have to worry about them landing on your food.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. The place was busy so be prepared to wait. The food is excellent - I had pancakes, eggs and home fries. My husband had an omelet and fruit. The only disappointing thing was my husband ordered a coke and they brought him a can. He was under the assumption it would be a fountain drink. I think if they are going to bring a can and charge per can that the server or menu should indicate this. He switched it out for a tea.

We ordered a spanish omelette which came with two sides (home fries and cottage cheese) which sounds like a pretty good deal for $14. Once we got the food however, it was nothing but disappointment. They sprinkled cold canned tomatoes at the top. The onions were severely undercooked and hard. The Omelette itself was cold when it was served to us as well. There were hardly any jalapeños in it for an omelette that was claimed to be spicy on the menu. You can definitely make better omelettes than this at home for much less.

Excellent value for the money. Almost always busy on the weekends, but the wait time is usually pretty reasonable. Good old-fashioned diner/cafe breakfast food. Portion sizes are solid and everything that Ive tried has been good. Service is usually great, especially considering how busy it is when were there.

Lets get to it - My son and I wanted to find a nice diner near us and I wanted to take him out to brunch on 8/24/24 - Ive been in and out of Austin my whole life and loved the idea of supporting local. Boy was this place regrettable. The staff was super friendly, a real Austin vibe that I loved. The menu seemed simple enough, I feel like getting an Omelette might be the move. Spanish Omelette, I aint ever been to Spain, but Im not so picky, promised a salsa with a bunch of stuff. I get a plate with tons of food on it - the salsa is canned tomato and canned jalapeno, with a copious helping of the liquid from the cans - no onion (on the menu for it), no bell pepper (on the menu for it). Im not one to complain much, and it looked fine until I realized with enough liquid at the bottom from the canned tomatoes and jalapenos to fill a pint glass. My potatoes are soggy and soaked, the egg of my omelette is a questionable film of perfectly cooked egg that seems to be folded over some kraft cheese. Like it was microwaved. I imagine it was probably inedible without being soggy, but it sure was soggy. Had I known what awaited I would have just gotten eggs n fried them on the hood of my car with some butter. It would have been much better. If you know how caustic canned tomatoes are, you could argue this place might be giving people cancer. The only thing I wouldnt have changed about this place is the front of house staff and giving them an above average tip (lifelong service industry here), but calling this place the Omelettry? My friend in Christ, thats gaslighting.

I noticed a lot of great things on my first time visit here. Food is good and well priced. I got a bacon and spinach omelette with a stack of pancakes for <$14. I had ticket 140 today and sat at the bar. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming. I had also noticed the manager on duty coaching some of the (presumably) newer folks with admirable respect and friendliness. If I worked in food service I d want to work with her. 10/10 really enjoyed my breakfast here and will be back.

As a native Austinite I wouldn t recommend any other hometown breakfast spot if you want consist food, atmosphere and service. Even during the pandemic, this establishment never missed a beat. Oh, not to forget how often will you get to meet the own manning the post almost daily. Great guy! You should meet him. A+ breakfast spot.

Someone called this place an Austin institution and I dont know whats there except for the leftover history. I paid $18 for an omelet and got this. Runny mess. The chicken tasted stale and had a gross smell. I asked to replace the bacon in my omelet but they cannot replace it. Charged $3 for chicken and served me this. The first server who came to us for water and coffee had a rough morning. I will NOT recommend going there when places like Phoebes Diner, Diner 24, and Paperboy are serving way better breakfast in Austin. Did not enjoy a single thing.

Unfortunately, this place left us a little underwhelmed. To start with, our waitress seemed like she really didnt want to be there, no enthusiasm at all. As for the food, we ordered two Brownings, which came with eggs, bacon or sausage, and French toast, and a mushroom omelet. The omelet was very watery, and lacked the flavor. The bacon was paper thin, falling apart as soon as you tried to pick it up. And the eggs were very basic, nothing special. The only standout was the French toast, it was actually very good and satisfying. Also, drinks are small, you pay 2.35 for a can of soda. Overall, it wasnt exactly a bad experience, but left a lot to be desired.

When my husband and I visit Austin, we usually have brunch at one of the top brunch spots in town but this last time we decided to switch it up. I wanted a breakfast that was sweet and savory so after narrowing our options down, we decided on this place. There was a little bit of a wait but it was Sunday morning and it was pleasant. The gingerbread pancakes were super yummy and my omelette was a flavor combo I had never tried. We will definitely be back!

This is one of those spots I keep telling myself to try something new every time I come in, but I dont. I order the same thing every single time: Eggonomical with sausage, buttermilk pancakes, and a side of homefries. It NEVER disappoints. One could say that I may be afraid of change. In response, Id say try the pancakes.

I used to visit Omelettry every weekend when I lived in the area. The staff was delightful, the food portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable. If youre visiting or passing by, I highly recommend Omelettry.

Went there from out of town looking for a cute place to eat. The hostess was weird. Did not know who our server was and the food was a bit bland and cold. The bacon was super thin, brittle, cracker-like, and cement-like. Completely and utterly devoid of appetite upon seeing this pitiful excuse of a breakfast. Good french toast and pancakes were good. Dietary restrictions: it s nasty.

Hipster condescension. Cold food. Avocado comes out of a bag. Pancakes over done. The home fries are good. Charge me extra to add meat to any omelette. It came out to 30 bucks for an omelet and a pancake. Better off going to Jims by orders of magnitude.

Servers only stopped by once to ask if Id like more coffee, I said,Yes and never saw them again. 30% of home fries were burnt and not edible

I was handed a different side order of fruit than I had requested, and was told they were out of what I wanted. Anywhere else they would have told me and given me options before serving something other than what was ordered. Nobody asked if I needed or wanted anything else with my order so I had to leave my seat to get someones attention to hand me some hot sauce. Omelet was real egg and decent until... I found random dark stringy chunks of Im not sure what in my omelet. Before realizing the food was contaminated it tasted OK. I was extremely hungry but couldnt finish. Wait staff seemed to forget I was there and never came back to check on me. Place was noisy. I was too tired and hungry to make a fuss, so I paid and went to HEB for some fresh fruit to tide me over. Not a chance I would ever go back.

One of the blandest omelets Ive ever had. I am lactose intolerant. So I think they bank on people liking melted cheese. Not in seasoning the food. Been here 17 years. Only came here this one time. Glad to know I wasnt missing out on anything. Kid-friendliness: Basket of toys for the kids when first seated. Good call!

People keep were nice and gingerbread pan cake were good. Only reason has ng I didnt like was there wasnt any substitutions for the meats. Like turkey sausage or bacon. This is the reason I gave 4 stars and the fact they didnt use fresh tomatoes on my fiesta omlete. Dietary restrictions: No meat substitutions and they used canned veggies on the top of my omelette.

This place was so cute. I loved the drawings of eggs, the different table coverings, and the homey feel. I wanted omelettes and googled to find this place. It was so amazing. I got an omelette with bacon, onions, and cheese. My husband got an omelette with ham and cheese. It was a lot of food but totally great flavor. Next time we would split a meal. 10/10 recommend!

Fun place for breakfast, but the hot cakes were mixed too long (no lumps in the batter make them flatter). They were great tasting. Loved the huevos rancheros. Not homemade tortillas, as far as I could tell, but served soft and warm. Great black beans and the breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy. The green sauce was spicy, the red was chunky and flavorful. Brother loved his veggie omelet and nephews loved their chocolate chip pancakes. Menu items were good value.

The food is OK the home fries are to hard to almost chew, pancakes are delicious. The atmosphere is not welcoming, the staff has fake smiles and cold personalities, my sister asked if the did something for birthdays, she said we can stick a candle in a pancake thats it.

Been two times. First time the French toast was so good. Very crowded thought second visit, I ordered the French toast and was dry. Eggs are their specialty, it seems, so the eggs were always really good. Great service.

This was probably my fourth time here and the food never disappoints. Just be wary of the morning weekend rush. My friend and I decided to just sit at the counter after waiting for 20 minutes and still a lot of people ahead of us so I would suggest that if you dont feel like waiting for a table or booth. Lots of options for vegetarians so I will need to keep coming back to try out all the selections they offer.

Food and service were good. I knew it would be since I used to go to the old location on Burnet. This location has much more space, of course, which is great. What surprised me was the prices. Very reasonable! Must be one of the few restaurants in Austin to not raise their prices very much, or at all, in the last few years.

Delightful place with lots of vegetarian options. Its packed with people as early as 8AM, and that tells you how famous and good this place really is. We tried the spanish and vegetarian omelets, and they were both 5/5. The drip coffee is bottomless, and their fruit bowls are super fresh. They have ample seating adorned by all mannerism of paraphernalia. The place is cozy, the food is fantastic and the service is quick and courteous.
