I guess I get being closed for a private event and its offer of free pregers and sti test is great but if you not going to update Google and your website I am not going to drive twenty minutes on Sunday again to check it out. Especially when your server is rude when I ask if your closed. Then tells me to read the sign. Like I did read the sign and peer your shitty parking and entrance set up had to pull in anyway. Given I haven t been here before I no idea how any of this works or what your sign means.

Fun spot. Lots of room to run around and roam for the kids, relaxing and shaded seating areas. Good food trucks and overall cheap. $20 for parking that is validated (used towards drinks /food). Great climbing net for kids, all of them were having a blast. Kid-friendliness: Great spot for kids to run around.

Great place! Little ones loved stomping around exploring and climbing around on the new bounce feature. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. We all know bar Bathrooms can be gross..lady or not. Natalie was sweet and informative. Made great drinks and made sure the kids had what they wanted to be comfortable and happy to. Will return again

It was very nice and cool with the fans and mist. I wish the bartenders attitude and service was better she was short and rude. It was at 6pm and honestly the place was not near busy as I would think to have been stressed out w customers all day but literally there was no line and maybe 4 people inside and 20 outside. I would go again. But I would leave if she was the bartender. Wether you are having a bad day or not you leave it at the door when you come in to work.

Bummer they charge you$20 for parking. So in order to not pay it you have to spend $20 at least at the bar. So $3 for a coke. Atmosphere was laid back and cool. They have volleyball courts.

Beware! They charge each car $20 to park. But if you drink $20 worth, they wont charge for the parking. Ok. We expected that since I payed for parking my vehicle already, they wouldnt charge my wife to park, too. Well, THEY DID. $40 for parking!I dont think thats the right thing to do. Drinking there is expensive. Its hot outside. All of these things make me not want to return.

Complete outdoor bar. Great spot to have beer and sit outside. Their admission/parking spending policy was annoying - they take your card and charge you $20 unless the charge drops only if you use the same card inside and spend $20 or more. It seems like a whole lot of transactions on my card for nothing I would instead charge for parking or give me a drink token or something when I pay for parking because all the pending transactions on my account were just annoying.

Being forced to pay $20 to park in a dirt patch for a bar/restaurant establishment is ridiculous. The parking guy is also rude and ridiculous, I told him I was pulling to the side until I could call my friend to tell them if we still wanted to eat her and then he start to come up to me after 2 min to leave. Sorry but forcing $20 before even arriving at your business is ridiculous. There are plenty of better places that have free parking or at least CHEAPER.

Absolute cheugy tourist trap. Its clear its set up to catch people that couldnt find parking at Armadillo Den. When people talk about keeping Austin Weird, this is pretty much the exact opposite of what theyre talking about. The space is nice though and parking is plentiful. The food trucks arent good either. Ive literally had slices of wonder bread seasoned more than this quesadilla.

I am a born and raised Austinite, so when i found out that they now charge for parking, I found it ridiculous. As someone who used to park here for free before it blew up, the first parking price of 10 dollars was upsetting, but i dealt with it. Of course you can validate if you spend money on your tab, but now the bar charges 20 dollars to park, which id ridiculous considering some hours you can come in for free and that it used to be free. I understand Austin prices have gone up, but why artificially inflate prices here for austinites who have always been here? It makes me no longer want to come here and in the future will tell others to avoid due to the high overhead to even be here. Management should seriously reconsider the parking charge and instead just pay their employees more versus shoving the costs on consumers.

Moontower started charging $20 per parking with the promise that it will go toward your drinks.. so if you bought drinks for $30, your total will be only $10 and so on. Two times in a raw, moontower charged us for drinks on top of parking. We paid $36 for two beers, such a ripoff!!!!! Last time there, specially with all the competition around!!

December 2023: Menchaca Road has slowly been transforming into a place where popular Austin hangouts have been opening new locations. I live nearby it and was time to see it again where my first place was the Moontower Saloon. I brought my wife during the day for lunch. The place had that Texas country feel with the gravel parking lot, rustic bar, outdoor seating under huge live oak trees, small stage, fire pit, food trucks and to my surprise sand volleyball courts. The place had a wonderful atmosphere. First we ordered food at one of the food trucks called Hot Texas Grills where the other was Fried Heaven but was not opened. While I waited for my Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla, I walked inside the bar to order a local beer. The bartender was nice and admired all the stickers behind her. This place looked like it had been here for decades with its old wood look almost like a dive bar. We sat outside on the deck checking out the place. The volleyball courts was located at the far end and was busy. This place was also dog friendly too. It was a very relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a beer and food at.

The vibe here was great; we were there for karaoke night and it was a blast. A couple things, if youre also a wheelchair user - see the wheelchair accessibility portion of the review. TL;DR - If you cant do wheelies, you need a friend. Wheelchair accessibility: - be prepared for offroading. All the pavement is cracked, including the ramp down to the outdoor area. There are a lot of changes between different kinds of floor surfaces in the indoor spaces. The outdoor area is dirt with mulch or leaves, which is fun but obviously uneven and a bit of a workout. If you cant do wheelies, you need a friend. - theres no ramp onto the stage (hence 4 stars) - bathroom was good. the accessible stall was great for my needs and theres room under the sink to get close. - the accessible parking was hard to find - not super well lit. - the staff was great.

Frankly, Im disappointed in Moontower. When my boyfriend and I arrived, we parked with no issue and went up to the bar to order our drinks. The bartender took our order, asked to see his military ID, and seemed annoyed that she even had to be engaging with us. We went outside to watch the game and within 15 minutes were told to leave. We asked why, and he said he didnt know, only that his manager told him we couldnt come back. My partner is a fully disabled combat veteran (with documentation to prove it) and had been out of country for 2 years. We were also at Moontower the night before with absolutely no issue. Im really disappointed that nobody was willing to talk to us and treated him with no regard. I have frequented this place off and on for years and am politely requesting a response, as I would like to have a better understanding of how this establishment is run.

If you spend at least $20 at the bar, you don t pay for parking. Also they are freaks about outside containers. I had a yeti tumbler with water and was twice chastised. They claim people are sneaking alcohol in? Who s sneaking alcohol into a bar? Regardless. But wasn t my vibe.

I have never been treated like this in any other bar in Austin (or the country for that matter). I was excited to see and experience moon tower to the fullest since my friends talked it up so much. I was super turned off by the ridiculously loud live music that made it impossible to communicate with the bartenders and food trucks. $20 for parking. Overpriced food trucks that are just ok. Overall vibe was meh.

You feel like you enter a different world... Its so great. SSC organizes sand volleyball tournaments and so is the prefect way to finish a Sunday night. Only bad thing is they charge for parking when you dont go for volleyball

Pay for parking in a dirt lot? How cheap can you get?

Good beer selection, food trucks, plenty of seating. Last night was my first time coming here, but I will be back. Dog and kid friendly, and live music too.

atmosphere was decent, most of the bartenders were nice as well EXCEPT for one guy with a beard and half ponytail. lots of seating around the area, but make you pay for a tiny parking lot. overall a mid place to go

Great outdoor live music venue. Too bad they started charging $20 for parking. Even on a dead soggy Sunday.

One star on the weekends, four stars during the week. They dont have enough parking, so they try to make you pay $20 to go into their bar. This is a losing strategy, as Ive twice turned away from that strategy, and may not return
