I normally dont do reviews but I need it to be known that this isnt Chicago Food. I was born and raised in Chicago and I have never had food this bad there. My husband and I both got Italian Beef, but I got the combo which included Italian sausage. First lets speak on the smell of the food, when I opened the box I could instantly smell something wasnt right. I disregard the smell (big mistake) and decided that it could just be my smell was off. I took one bite and noticed immediately that this was not Italian beef. I opened the sandwich to find three different types of meat (if you want to call it meat), and nothing else on it which I was highly disappointed because the menu said it supposed to have sweet peppers. There was a few pieces of meat on the sandwich that looked like it could have been sliced beef, then on the bottom of that it was this mushy type of meat. Then they placed, what was supposed to be an Italian sausage in the middle of the sandwich. I made up my mind and immediately said I wasnt going to eat the sandwich and I was just going to eat the sausage. When I bit into the sausage I immediately knew it wasnt a real sausage cause the texture and taste was off. I immediately spit it out. I then examined my husbands sandwich which didnt look anything like mine, so I thought it was safe for him to eat. He then ate it and I just settled for the Lays chips. I few hours later my husband got extremely sick and my stomach didnt feel well also. Im extremely disappointed because I just moved to Texas and I was expecting food to be alot better that this. Please be careful eating here.

I used to come to this restaurant when it was at its original location and it was a good experience. I moved away and came back more than 4 years later and I was excited by the prospect of reconnecting to the food. That they moved the location isnt an issue, but the restaurants unavailability seems weird to me. You cant go into the place, you have to order to go and your food is brought out to you. I was here last week at 7:15 pm, the restaurant closes at 8 pm. The owner told me OVER THE PHONE AS I STOOD OUTSIDE THE DOOR that he stops taking orders at 7:05 pm. Really? Im here with money in hand 45 minutes before closing and I cant have an Italian Beef? LOL. So a week later I came back at almost 1 pm, the sign on the door says that for this day of the week, the restaurant opens at 11 am. Its closed. I called the number on the door and no one answered. I dont know what happened to the owner/business while I was out of town, but this just seems sad now. And at the end of the day, I still dont have an Italian beef...

We accidentally ordered from the wrong Windy City ..meant to order a pizza to go from the Windy City Pizza in Breckenridge Colorado. Even though it was our mistake and we were more than willing to pay for our screw up, Charles (one of the employees) insisted that we not be charged, saying that it was an honest mistake and the right thing to do.

Drove in from Beaumont specifically to try this restaurant. It was supposed to open at 11am but there was a sign on the door stating they wouldnt open until 4:30pm (my family and I arrived at 1:15pm). We went to the Mexican restaurant in the same strip and had chips and salsa until it was time for Windy City Pizza to open. Once we saw someone go inside, we went to the door but it was locked. When the man came to the door, he told us they werent open for dine in but we could place an order online to go/curbside. Extremely disappointed so we just left.

I will say the owners customer service was 5 stars. He even came out and delivered it to my truck after I called the number on the paper posted on the business door. But unfortunately, for the deep dish pizza we ordered, was a different story. We opened it up and it was pretty small for a $41 medium size pizza. We actually ended up cutting the pieces so my kids could eat some more. There was something a bit off about it though. We looked at a previous review and confirmed what we said here at home. Something tasted sour or spoiled, maybe the cheese? Any who, not here to bash the owner or the pizza but I PRAY that the owner actually takes the suggestions from his customers. My kids ended up throwing up the pizza and unfortunately we just tossed whatever was left over. By the grace of God, my kids are ok. I wish the owner and his business the best of luck in his future endeavors, and hope to see an improvement. Maybe I ll give them a second chance? Maybe not? God bless my brother

I don t usually care for doing reviews, but since I was hungry and my food isn t worth eating I gotta say it. First off I didn t read any reviews prior to ordering from the establishment. The first picture is what I was expecting which comes up with this company on google. When I seen the nice real Chicago deep dish pizza I was sold, but I ended up with the second picture below. My pizza Isn t tasty and doesn t look like the picture advertised . Please Place a picture of your Chicago deep dish instead. What you see is what you get is what customers appreciate. Let me tell you about the Parmesan wings I ordered that smell very bad from the time I opened the lid. The grease is bad which leaves everything you cook with a bad smell like old grease. Freshly battered chicken doesn t look or smell like my wings. I m just offended that you served me the wings like that. My mouth was set on the picture you advertise on google. After I opened the box I thought it was a mistake but it s a Chicago empty deep dish pizza and that s just it. If the grease isn t bad that means the meat is bad. I can t take any chances with Chicken like this. Hospitals are full and the Way my wings smell I would definitely not be well if I ate them. I m not looking for nothing free and certainly not a refund. Look at your overall reviews and make changes if you care. People are not picking on this establishment like I said before my food made me look at your reviews. If I looked at the reviews I definitely wouldn t have ordered anything. This my 45.00 Truth for free tonight!

I ordered a deep dish meat lovers pizza and received a thin pizza with about 2 pieces of sausage on the entire pizza. I called to complain about the error, hoping the restaurant would make it right. The owner was adamant that I was wrong so we went back to show him there was no meat on the pizza but he refused to entertain his mistake. He refused to issue a refund or price difference since I didnt receive what I ordered. He also said he didnt care about us leaving any bad reviews. I might be more upset about the owner being so rude and uncooperative. Highly disappointed.

My daughter ordered a medium deep dish MEAT LOVERS. Joke was on us. My ex husband is from Chicago. We know what deep dish is supposed to be and this was far from it. I called to be fair, maybe a mistake was made. The guy I spoke with was completely unapologetic. Insisted his pizza had 12 oz of each meat. It barely had an half ounce of Italian sausage on the whole pizza. I would never recommend this place under any circumstances. 30$ for something we could with Totinos.

The only reason I m giving this a 2 star review is because it is a good tasting pizza, it s got a nice tasting sauce and a decent crust. If I was rating on deep dish standards alone it would be a negative number. Look at the pictures people, no meat, thin crust, light on the sauce, it s not a legit deep dish pizza. I was born in Chicago, to call this an authentic Chicago deep dish is an insult to the entire city. Al Capone would be rolling over in his grave if he saw this. I paid 40 bucks for a 12 inch thin crust pie that tasted ok but was by no means a legit Chicago deep dish pizza. Anyone from Chicago knows that a true deep dish requires a fork, you can t pick it up like a hot and ready. This thing had nothing on it, LOOK AT THE PICTURES PEOPLE!! Keep in mind this is what they are calling a meat lovers, where s the meat? This is not authentic Chicago pizza.

I d like to say I called the restaurant first and the guy on the phone who I assume is the owner.. his voice felt like home. Right then and there I knew I was preparing to have the best pizza I ve ever had! I was not let down. It was beyond expectations of perfect. My fiancé said it was everything he has ever wanted out of pizza, and the I tried to suggest he cater our wedding! Lol. This was just a 10 inch but we re prepared to make this a regular spot. Another note my fiancé is lactose intolerant yet his stomach did not hurt afterwards!!! Plus for me because that means we get to have pizza a lot more often! The owner was extremely nice and made sure we know how to eat the pizza correctly. The way his passion gleamed through his eyes made our day. We ll never have pizza anywhere else.

We enjoyed a large meat lovers deep dish with traditional crust. I m a Chicago native and this is exactly what I was looking for. This pizza is not really what you d get from Lou s or Giordano s, and it is not trying to imitate those pies. It is definitely legit Chicago, and definitely delicious- and at what I consider the appropriate price point for what I would pay at home. If you re reviewing this like NY style pizzas or your typical chain pizza, you re comparing apples and oranges. Strong performance- we will be back again and again. Go Cubs go!

Windy City Pizzas crust was thin and crispy and my expectation of thin is much like that of NY pizza, thin yet with a softer pliable crust. The pizza also had sparse covering of cheese and pepperoni and the Chicago pizza Im accustomed to were heavily cheesed and topped. All of the pizza that I grew up on were prepared in such a manner. Being from Chicago, I had an expectation of what the pizza was supposed to be, unfortunately, this pizza doesnt hit the mark for me. as for the actual Chicago pizzerias I grew up dining at, Italian Fiesta was, and still is my favorite pizza all time, with Nancys coming in at a very distant second and Reggios pulling up in 3rd. Nancys is the only one of these restaurants, in states other than Illinois, with many locations in my former residence of Atlanta. I would not eat there again, not because the pizza was bad, but simply because the pizza I ate doesnt connect with my Chicago experience and expectation of what thin, square cut, Chicago pizza should be.

The meat and cheese slices were so thin here that they would tear the slices by accident! But overall it was a nice experience, the staff was friendly, and after accidentally dropping my fountain drink, they gave me a new one on the house. Really, the meat and cheese thing was the only bad part to be honest. Overall a good experience.

We ordered a thin crust and a deep dish. The thin crust pizza was a little dry and not our favorite. The deep dish had a deep dish crust, but honestly, the actual pizza portion of it was pretty thin. I was expecting the deep dish to have more substance to it. The deep dish had really good flavor and was a good pizza, just not as thick as I would expect from a deep dish pizza. The actual area with the sauce and toppings was thinner than you regularly get from a normal pan pizza anywhere else. Overall the service was good. Its a little expensive so not a place we would go to all the time unless we were really just looking for this specific type of pizza.

Was craving some pizza and had heard good reviews of this place so decided to give it a try. We order basically what the supreme pizza had just without the onion and green bell pepper and added fresh basil. When time to pick it up the man was very friendly and explained to us how he uses very healthy options for ingredients. We thanked him for the pizza and left feeling good about our order especially by the smell of it lets just say I already called back to order a second pizza!! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Not close to Chicago style pizza or Italian beef, overly priced, pizza had no meat on it at all, paid for extra cheese and not even that really disappointed and the man I talked to was so rude and offensive, never again, just spent $31 for nothing.

So for context I am a heavier weight woman. The owner made some unsavory comment about thin and thick girls in reference to his pizza and also commented on the rate at which I might eat the pizza. The pizza I got was greasy and the cheese was unnaturally rubbery, I took one bite and decided it wasnt my taste. I called to explain my dissatisfaction with the pizza and weight comments, and was told okay, thank you,. I dont expect a refund because it clearly states no refund. Also, 20$ for a deep dish white pizza is a little generous.

The owner is very in-your-face Chicago style lol. He is proud of his business but will go above and beyond to give you a great experience. I will say it is very hot in there if you plan on dining in. There are only a few tables but it is super Houston, TX hot from I assume are the ovens and lack of wanting to use the A/C for comfort. Not many customers dine in so I get it. However, you need to dine in to get the full experience. Owner recommends ordering on your way (I have a commute) so you don t wait 45 min for your pizza. (Worth it). I take away a star because he told me he refuses to have any fryers. Italian beef with no option of fries is sad to me! Also, so many appetizers are fried. I get he doesn t want to do frozen to fried but let s get on the band wagon and do fresh appetizers. There is NOTHING like fresh fried mozzarella, zucchini, or ravioli!

Im a Chicagoland native and worked at Connies Pizza for about a decade when I lived up there, so I know my deep dish. Windy City Pizza is FAR AND AWAY the best Chicago style pizza Ive had outside the city in living all over Texas for the last 20 years. If deep dish pizza isnt your thing, I HIGHLY recommend the Italian Beef. Ask for it dipped, with cheese...it will change your life. This place is great. The price is reflective of the quality and amount of food. If you just want something to fill your gullet, get the cheap stuff. If you want quality, come to this place. The owner is a great dude and his store should be patronized. Hes good for our community.

Great deep dish pizza, all handmade to order, they even blend their own cheeses. The place is pretty cool, Chicago like environment but small inside. The price seemed a little steep at first for such a small pizza but everything s made from scratch, from the dough to the cheese blends. This is a good place to step away from the cheap chain pizza.

Sign says 9pm close on sunday, online gives 8pm close. Prior reviews state that dine in closes an hour prior to business close, yet we arrived at 525 and were advised that dine in whats not an option. Due to area being closed in 30 minutes. This business is obviously not looking to cater to new customers, on top of bad temperature inside and a very odd sour smell. This business makes it a habit of not allowing customers to use the dine in area, so be aware.

The pizza is fantastic, far better than something youd get from any nearby major chain. However, the cost is pretty bonkers. Youre spending at least $20 for one fairly small pizza, or its either got to be a very occasional treat, or you need to have more money than you know what to do with.

This will be the MOST honest opinion ever. My husband and I visited this restuarant when he first opened, being my husband is from Chicago and to have a Chicago pizza place near us was great. When we went. There was more than one worker. The owner was in the back cooking and talking and talking and talking. Uuuh. I have been back maybe twice. The other times, I noticed that he was the only one there(employee) there were a few customers also. I got an Italian beef. The LAST time I went there, I called the order in. An Italian beef again. He said it would be 40 minutes. . For those that dont know, an Italian beef is a sandwich, thats it! A SANDWICH!!!!! For whatever reason, my husband said thats fine. (?) So we decided to go in about 20 mins to see if by chance that maybe he got it done early. He was the only person in there and no customers. He said, no it is not ready, I told you 40 mins (a sandwich). Needless to say, we have NEVER gone back and NEVER will. That is my review. This is my opinion: I feel that the owner is in over his head. I feel that he cannot or doesnt want to hire anyone because he can either not afford it or is trying to keep everything for himself. The food prices are very high. I know for a fact that you HAVE to spend money to make money and be successful. He is loosing several customers by trying to cut tooo many corners. You will NEVER be successful by trying to run an entire restuarant by yourself. Maybe you should have just started with a food truck. Idk. But at any rate, you will never be a hit in town if you are charging people the high prices, but giving them low quality and having people wait 40 minutes for A SANDWICH!!!!! Money is too hard to come by for the general public. Please read and take heed to your reviews or you wont last much longer. Get some damn help! If you cant afford it, then see if there is anyone that may want to volunteer their time. It sure is better than trying to do everything yourself wich is causing you to get more and more bad reviews. Once you have a bad reputation, it over. But the customers are not running you out of business.....you are!!! I hope this will help you. This is done with no malaise and is just my opinion. Be blessed.

I stopped by here for the first time today, and I was quite pleased all the way around. As another review stated, it is a one-man-show here, but the man, Charles, knows what courteous customer service is all about. He is proud of his ingredients and recipes, and he should be as he goes out of his way to make sure that he is only serving the best. This is the perfect example of your local restaraunt, and the kind of little gem that we all should support when we are in the area.

We arrived in the dining room at 7:32pm. I told my family to have a seat and the gentlemen behind the counter shouts out, its gotta be to go. I thought maybe he said would that be to go I replied, No, we are eating in and he says No, that will be to go, the dinning room closes at 8. Mind you it is 7:32pm. Looking on the door, I did not find a dining room closing time. Only the 9pm posted closing time. As we walked out my daughter even asked why was he so rude. I told her that some people have no customer service skills. Not a place I would like to take my family back to. In response to the owners comment. It was not only the timing issue, remember I stated it was 7:30 not 8. It was the rudeness that was used. Still not returning.

The guy sold him every ingredient individually and bragged the entire time about how great and full of meat it would be. When he got the $36 Pizza home, it had meat on only half of the pizza. While it was tasty, the $36 made it hard to swallow. Won t go back where they take advantage of young customers.

Great, pizza! I ordered the large deep dish and it was great, tasted amazing. The cheese was the best part. Tasted fresh and really good. There is a bit of a wait but thats because its made to order from scratch, if you dont want to wait just call and order ahead of time. I ordered my pizza with meat but i noticed that there wasnt as much meat as i would have liked in it, that was my only issue. It didnt take away from the taste though. The owner is very friendly. One of the best pizza places Ive been to here in Houston. Although it was a bit hot and stuffy inside, it has an oldschool, hole in the wall pizza joint vibe but i liked that. If you want some authentic Chicago pizza then come here. Its a different style of pizza than you might be used to it but taste great. 5 stars from me
