Second time there, crowded on game days but food is good and service is decent considering the amount of patrons. Shuttle service to and from the Cowboy Stadium is worth the $15 fee. Only down side is the bathrooms could be better. Food

We visited all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I must say service was great, and we absolutely loved the irish nachos. The fact that they shuttled us from their bar to the Rangers one day one and the Cowboys game on day two was so convenient and affordable.

Been coming here 30 years. Ordered as always Irish nachos and asked for ranches instead of sour cream. Was charged an extra $.99 for ranch which has never occurred in the past 30 years. The place is an Arlington landmark but a dump. Food is ok but spending $17.30 for an order of its nachos and a beer is ridiculous. Used to take my family here all the time. Never again. A side of ranch dressing which used to always come w the dish. And does at every other restaurant serving the same dish. Now they charge $1.00 for it. It s a money grab. Goodbye. Never again.

K. Gilligans is a very laid back sports bar. We had used their shuttle service to attend a concert, but day down to eat first. I had their grilled chicken sandwich, which was excellent. My friend had the beef and bean nachos, which looked amazing. I didnt get to try them because she ate them all! I think they were deliscious! Everyone was friendly and great service.

Truly a BAR and grill For a person drinking alcohol, this food is probably great, but if youre sober, not so much. Just ghe basic drunk man food. (I get it) I ordered a Nachos and literally got 6 nachos on top of meat, covered in cheese, lettuce and tomato and a few jalapeno. My wife did say her philly was good.but the potatoes(covered in cheese was blah. Maybe it was because we went in the middle of the day on a Tuesday, where we were the only customers there. We had to get the attention of the staff after a couple of minutes of waiting. I dunno, my suggestion go for the Drinks, not the Food.

Used the shuttle to the Kenny Chesney concert. Was the first time to use shuttle. Excellent service and music going to and coming from the concert. Was awesome and such a relief not having to deal with concert traffic. It was only 12 bucks. What a deal. Did not get a chance to eat due to driving in right before concert and leaving right after. Its an Irish pub, sports bar. Fun place to go. It looked a lot like the SMU gangs hang outs we use to go to off Greenville Ave. and Lovers Ln. area in Dallas. Tonight we are celebrating the release of ASKA°s new album KNIGHT STRIKE. They sound awesome. Everyone loved them and stood through their whole set. They were really outstanding. We got there early, before the bands played and there food looked and smelled so good, the Chicken Fried Steak, the hamburgers and the Irish Nachos. Everyone loved the food. Anyway the beer was ice cold and oh so good. The 2 bands were great rock bands from the past. Everyone rocked. Great place to go. The cover charge was $10. That was because of the bands I think, ond the food was priced good too. Great music , great food, great crowd, great place. What more can you ask for. We will be back.

2024 update: I ordered the bacon cheddar burger with grilled onions but they gave me regular onions instead. I wanted to give them another try but my order was wrong again. (2022 Review:) Unfortunately there are no gluten free options for burgers such as lettuce wraps instead of buns and they dont have gluten free buns either. Therefore, I usually only come for the cottage fries which are good. I wanted to like this place so much. However, on 2/4 I came in just for one thing, some hot UNSWEET tea because everywhere was closed and they gave me sweet tea instead! I didnt notice cause till I was driving away cause I just wanted to get in and out pretty fast so I just rolled with it. My brother had a birthday bash at this location. The overall atmosphere was upbeat and exciting without being wild. The food and service was outstanding. I had the chicken fried steak, and it was one of the best Ive had in a long time. I was enjoying my time there and really didnt think much about a review until Google reminded me that I went. I have loved and frequented J Gilligan s for years. YEARS. We had excellent service last Sunday and the Irish nachos were good, if a tad stale. What is giving me pause to visit there again is the lack of cleanliness. The women s bathroom is atrocious. Not just old and out of repair. Completely unclean. Also, just the general restaurant atmosphere seems grimier each visit. I know the place is old and the vibe is dive bar, but when the walls are greasy and the floors always look unswept, then it s time for me to learn to make Irish nachos myself. No amount of cold beer and good food is worth the filth. It makes me wonder about the kitchen condition. And that s something I don t want to worry about at any restaurant.

TL:DR (Because I respect your time, unlike this place) we waited 1+ hours for food that never came so we canceled our order and left. Full story: Sat down (not showed up, but sat down) at 4:45. Promptly ordered food. Figured more than enough time to eat before grabbing the shuttle for the concert. Checked after 20 minutes and she said it was taking about 40. Would have been nice to know when I ordered, but she was nice so whatever. Checked again at 45 after multiple people around us that ordered after us had received food and she said something to the affect of she just takes orders, the tickets go back and they get worked in whatever order. I m sorry, WHAT? Finally after a little over an hour we canceled our order and left for the concert to pay for overpriced stadium food (but at least we didn t wait an hour for it) This place is operationally deficient, at least when events are going on. They advertise great food and a solid shuttle service on their website but buyer beware. Maybe if you arrive 5 hours ahead of time you re fine but I ll let someone else test that theory. This may be a 5 star rated place but today it was solidly a 1 star experience. Do better.

Great place, the famous Irish nachos are really just a loaded baked potato but sliced potatoes instead of one big one but it was still very good. Also the #1 voted Cheese Burger in Arlington was not very good. The onion rings were 90% batter and 10% actual onion. Bad ratio. The cheeseburger was very basic and a Braums burger is better but overall decent food and above average atmosphere. The food isnt up to the hype. Awesome staff and service though. Always love eating here, very relaxed vibe. My step dad has helped with a lot of the neon work here. The owner is almost always there and has an apron on helping out.

Loved the ease of parking here for the Cowboys game shuttle. It was super cheap compared to all the parking spots. Great food and service as well!

Food was ok. Service was poor. They were understaffed I suppose. No servers would come to our table beyond the initial order and getting food. Didn t get drinks we ordered. The place was packed but short staffed. They applied a large % tip on the bill that had no explanation. It wasn t your typical 18 or 20 % tip. It was bigger, although it didn t say what the % was. I m all for tipping, but explain it in the bill and give decent service.

Great place to HAVE A ROUND TRIP RIDE TO THE DALLAS GAME.. I mean, they have it down to a scientific rotation! Minimal wait. LOAD up and go! Streaming lights. GREEN LIGHT! GO!

Food isn t great but drinks are pretty cheap. Lots of tvs and seating to watch games. The last time I was there I had a bad experience. It was near the closing time and there was this extremely rude worker with dreads trying to kick people out 10 mins before 2 am. I ve never been at a bar that didn t allow people to finish their drinks after closing their tabs. It s bad for business to be doing that especially when you re in a college neighborhood/ dallas cowboys stadium area. Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp available to the upper outdoor patio.
