Food: Guacamole was lacking flavor and spice. After adding additional lime juice it still was Ill eat it at best 2/5 Chicken taco on corn tortilla had very flavorful chicken but very soggy and the smallest 1/2 scoop of chicken. I expected onion and cilantro as this restaurant isnt tex-mex but it can served with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. The tortilla was warmed but not grilled as expected, almost like just microwaved. 2/5 Chips and salsa: Chips seemed store bought, not much flavor there but the salsa was good and spicy; however not homemade. Drinks: Large lime margarita was tasty but not strong. Rim was nicely coated on tajin and glass was clean. 2/5 Service: Host appeared to be a manager and was friendly and attentive. My server was adequate. Nothing special to note, they did their jobs. 3/5 Atmosphere: Location is easily accessible with parking lot, however the lot could be bigger. Bathroom was cleaned and stocked. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, even has an Elvis statue at the entrance. A man was singing live with his guitar toward the end of my visit. 4.5/5 Visited for taco tuesday.

The food is amazing but the waitress had an attitude. The issue came when we asked for a spicy salsa, she said okay and then didn t bring it until I asked for it again. There on after it was an awkward interaction when we wanted water or napkins, she made it difficult to ask for those things. The place was not packed, there were plenty of open tables so not sure why there was lack of service. She also overcharged us, we didn t make a big deal. We paid, left a tip and took it as a lesson to never go back. The food is amazing and if the service had been better we would ve been happy to return.

The atmosphere was average, something that I particularly found unpleasant was seeing right in front of the table where they seated us, a tray where a person is collecting the tables and apparently waiting for it to be full to take it to the kitchen and the container looks dirty, very unpleasant and the two tables that were vacated this person went and emptied the remaining food there, as if it were a garbage can, a shame because this container is on a decorative barrel. The food was tasteless, the meat was only cooked and thats it. The waitresss attention was very good, she told us about the dishes on the menu when we asked her what she suggested we order and she was always attentive.

It is always a lottery, this time food was good, lemonade used to be great, made from scratch, I was not offered refill...when leaving I asked for a Horchata to go and was given a small plastic cup and was charged $5.50 for that and it was 75% ice! That is a rip off! $141 for a party of 3, so expensive...

Food was good but a little pricey. I enjoyed the chips & salsa as they gave it (complimentary) and ordered the brisket tacos. For the price, I imagined the brisket tacos would taste great but I d say they were average in taste and nothing noteworthy. At lunch time there was a mariachi band which was cute. However, if you come here and want to talk to your friends/family and the mariachi is singing, you pretty much need to scream to hear each other.

Came for lunch to this restaurant . We had the margaritas and they were really good and strong. The chips and salsa were great, as well as the guacamole. The food itself was the lackluster, and I had the fajitas. They were on a little grill but lacked flavor and needed more grilling. The enchiladas were disgusting. Our bartender was cool, not her fault . This place is more of a drinking spot and leave to go get authentic food someplace else.

The food was good, but I went with my family and in-laws to see the place for the first time. Oh space and they attended to us on time. The only thing I didnt like was that I paid for some songs from the Jukebox and they couldnt be heard because in the bar they had other music playing and they were songs that they played at the dances. They say its a restaurant, not a club or Escapade 2009. Just leave the jukebox.

One of the standout dishes at El Ranchito is their mole, a rich and complex sauce that embodies the essence of Mexican cuisine. Each bite reveals layers of flavor, from the earthiness of the chocolate to the warmth of the spices, creating a symphony of tastes that dance on your palate. Paired with tender pieces of chicken , its a dish that leaves a lasting impression. Equally impressive is the caldo de camaro, a hearty shrimp soup bursting with freshness and depth. The broth, infused with herbs and vegetables, is a testament to the chefs skill in balancing flavors, while the plump shrimp add a satisfying texture to every spoonful. Its comfort food at its finest, perfect for warming both body and soul. While the food undoubtedly steals the show, the service at El Ranchito is decent, if not exceptional. Servers are attentive and friendly, though there may be occasional lapses in efficiency during peak hours. However, the genuine warmth and hospitality of the staff help create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. One area that could use improvement is the parking situation. Despite the restaurants popularity, the parking lot can become chaotic, with patrons vying for limited space. Encouraging more organized parking or providing alternative options could alleviate this issue and ensure a smoother dining experience for guests. In conclusion, El Ranchito Restaurant offers a tantalizing journey through the diverse flavors of Mexico. From the sublime mole to the comforting caldo de camaro, every dish is a testament to the chefs dedication to authenticity and quality. While there are minor areas for improvement, the exceptional food more than makes up for any shortcomings, making El Ranchito a must-visit destination for lovers of Mexican cuisine.

They also take your group picture and they offer it colored and black and white, with a frame included. Theyre $15 a piece or 2 for $20. We made a reservation which was great, we didnt have to wait. We love the parrilladas and their hand made flour tortillas. Unfortunately, they didnt have the corn tortillas, like in Dallas. But its ok. Its a fun place to go!!

The owner comes and yells at my father and says you guys need drinks what type of drinks bec i don t know what y all want very rude of him. We sat down and about 12 to 15 min to wait for a drink. Fun place to go to for Mexican food. Its closer to being texmex, I feel like, but it still has more of the home cooked vibe than the big texmex chains. The venue is cool. Nice decor, not cramped. Service is tough to rate. We were there for a birthday party and had the Elvis room for the occasion. For what we had, it was great. There are Mariachi there, I think on weekends, taking requests. They charge $25 per song. They werent bad. The Margaritas (rocks) were ok. You can taste the premade mix. Probably better to just go frozen.

The Initial Visit & Experience: Arriving we saw that it was a full house but there was enough parking for the amount of people. There was no wait as the restaurant is huge! Unfortunately, thats where the service stopped being good. After getting seated our waitress took very long to get to us and others just kept passing by us without even asking if we had been assisted. The lady cleaning the tables accidently dropped the next tables drink on the customer and they took at least 10 minutes to have someone come clean their table and with that delaying our waitress. She finally arrived and got our order and which took at least 30 minutes to come. One of our orders was missing and that person just sat there waiting as we ate which was very unfortunate because we all went to eat together. When our waitress came back she mentioned a large party walking out without paying and thats why our food didnt come out all together. She never came back to check if we needed anything else or even refills. The Food: Unfortunately, because of the time they took to bring our food (about 45 & 70 minutes after our server took our order) I did not bother to take pictures of our food. I WAS STARVING! LOL! I got the pollo al horno and I must say that it was very very good! It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The chicken fell off the bone and was very tasty. The rice was also cooked great and the beans were just alright. My party ordered the filete de pezcado empanizado and although I do not eat seafood they both said that it was very delicious and enjoyed the whole thing. Prices: The plates are a bit over priced but if they just worked on their service and atmosphere it would be perfect because it would include a great experience. Verdict: I wouldnt plan any birthdays there as the service is very unprofessional and wouldnt guarantee a good experience there. As far as the food, I would 100% take it to go to not deal with the annoyance and chaos in the restaurant. The food is DeeDeeLiciouz approved, the service, not so much.

This is our go-to for Mexican food in Arlington. They can seat parties large and small. We love the variety and quality of food here. I believe the mariachi band goes around for song requests on the weekends for $20/song. Its so cool to see them play!

If I could give more stars, I would. La comida esta muy fabuloso. This is not your average Tex-Mex. Its much more traditional Mexican. This was the perfect place for our 35th anniversary, and the perfect food to end our trip. Growing up in Texas you get to know good Mexican food, and now that we live in Montana, we miss it like crazy. Dont change a thing! Well be back this way in April, and we WILL be back for more. Muchas gracias para todos.

Okay so the food is AMAZING. The service was also good. My only (and kind of big) complaint is that theres a lot of 3rd party vendors inside. The Mariachi band, which was really good, was $25/song. That is super expensive and probably why the band only played 2 songs for the night. (We were there from 7-10pm) They should be donation-based and I think theyd get a lot more money. Times are way too tough to pay $25 for 2 minutes of music. I also wasnt a fan of the pictures. Once it was known that we werent interested, they should just leave it alone. Instead, a group of people felt peer pressured and honestly that was really unpleasant. At $10/ picture, $25 song, and who knows for the balloons, it is a LOT. Again, the food was phenomenal! The atmosphere was wonderful. But if you go, be prepared to either feel guilty or shell out extra, extra money.

The food is genuinely very good and can be quite authentic. It can get quite noisy, however, especially on karaoke days. If you arent interested in karaoke, sit as far away from that side of the restaurant as you can. Not because of the singing, but because they refuse to turn down the normal music coming from the speakers, so it turns into a dreadful cacophony of noise thats absolutely killer. I for one like to sit near the karaoke, because the locals have a lot of talent and character. Pro tip: Try the guava margaritas!
