This is my first time writing review ever online because I m a quiet person and just like to keep my opinion whether good or bad to myself. This time is different because I would like to speak my mind for this Medical City ER. The staff working there are rude not a kid friendly place when I took my daughter there. The only nice one is the male doctor because he actually genuinely shows concern to his patients so 5 stars to him but for the overall experience I had to give 1 star. Never again will I ever come to this place again. Methodist is way better! Ok

I arrived at the ER today 9/30/24 at around 830/845pm and I will it admit that the Lobby was pretty full. But i don t honestly think that there s a reason why at 1:30am that i still don t have results for blood work or CT scans. Most of the staff i shall admit is very friendly. But the rest are simply here just to be here. When i was being seen, I saw more gatherings that folks actually helping patients. I don t know the jobs these nurses do, but I don t think sitting in the lobby for more than four hours is good patient care. I have watch people who arrived well after me leave just because all they did was sit here and not be seen. I was consistently told my scans haven t been updated yet. But the more time went on the less and less amount of ppl were in the lobby. I left the facility at 2:00am and still was not seen. They claimed i left Against Medical Advice but being that i was never seen, what advice can i have received? This may very well be my first and last time coming to this hospital. I 10/10 would not recommend coming here for care.

I recently gave birth to my first child. My baby was transported by helicopter to Medical city Arlington NICU department for treatment. As you can image it is rather worrisome and very stressful time having your child in the NICU. As soon as I arrived to visit my baby Trang that works in the NICU was absolutely comforting and so kind to me. She has one of the most amazing personalities. I knew my baby was in good hands after speaking to her. She went above and beyond for me and my baby boy to stay as close as possible and comfortable until he was cleared to come home. Almost felt like family with the kind of care this department provides. I will be forever grateful for her hospitality and kindness during this very difficult time. Her sense of humor always made me smile and laugh as well. Thank you Trang. My baby boy also had an amazing nurse named Katelynn that also just warmed my heart every time i saw her. She s always very informative and explained in detail everything to me about the next steps and the progress of my baby. She is always so positive and has a very bright personality. We had such good conversations while she was teaching me how to care for my baby. She always made sure I was involved/ included in all diaper changes or anything else for my baby. Overall everyone when you step in the NICU at Medical city Arlington is amazing. The facility, doctors and nurses are really great. I am so grateful my son was taken here and was given the proper care. This life event is one to remember and all staff members provided such amazing support.

When I made it to labs for my newborn screener, Mrs. Maxine was awesome. She was so personable and quick and made me feel so comfortable. Thanks MCA!

I dont recommend having a baby in this hospital, especially for first time parents. The labor and delivery (c-section) went well, but after that it was torture. They were short staffed on nurses and those that were there didnt seem to communicate with each other. We couldnt get out of there fast enough. This was in 2016, but I still think about it and hope they have improved both for the sake of the families, but also the doctors treating patients who are suffering when they shouldn t be

MCA has really changed for the BETTER over the years! I am currently pregnant with my 3rd child and I will be the first to admit that I was extremely hesitant to deliver here based on my first two deliveries. Finding out that my current OB exclusively delivers at MCA honestly stressed me out so much due to my previous experiences. Presently, I am severely at high risk and have been admitted more times than I would have liked, however this has honestly been a blessing in disguise! There have been SO MANY changes made and things are definitely headed in the right direction. From their antiparticle staff, labor and delivery, as well the NICU team. I am thoroughly IMPRESSED. I cannot thank you all enough for how kind, thoughtful, loving, and experienced you are!!! The best is yet to come

BUT the place is old. Old outdated rooms. Rest of the people that work there don t make any effort for nothing. Again read my message good. There are human beings working there but just a handful. Place needs a complete facelift PRONTO. And the management needs to be more on the floor. Sad because some workers are really motivated but their hands are tight

Medical City ER is the worst ever hospital I ve been too. Dirty beds, dirty sheets, crazy wait time and usually, no medication given even if you re in pain. Worst part is the bills that follow even when you have health insurance. They don t give you a single bill statement, it comes like 5 different bills from the same facility. I ve been to an ER before and I paid nothing because I had insurance but at Medical City? They charged me $1330 for a Covid test they did on me. How ridiculous is that and they expect me to pay? NO WAY! You guys will only send it to collection. My wife came here before and it was same experience. I wasn t thinking when I drove to this place with fever. Even if I m dying, let me not find myself at this facility. NEVER AGAIN!!! This hospital belongs to a 3rd world.

COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT 20 Years in healthcare. Two daughters who were birthed and continue to be cared for by Medical City Dallas near 75/Forest. I have never experienced such poor service in a hospital. Not only from myself but other staff and patients who really had nothing good to say. As a healthcare administrator there are standards i expect when I enter a healthcare facility. My sister was on suicide watch and I feel like i completely entered to her floor and room with no restrictions or ask. This was not my Sisters first visit because she frequents this hospital being that its in the area where she lives. She was diagnosed with mental retardation 46 years ago. They dont use the term any longer but she is mentally and physically disabled. She has fallen at least 6 times in 6 months. Does that pose concerns as a hospital. Do they file a complain on home where she lives? But on my visit August 2024. The nurse on watch did not know why she was on suicide watch. But i walked in a big purse no inquiries or questions. But the patient in that room is suicidal? It took the head nurse over an hour to return to her text to come see the family of this patient who is incapable of comprehending suicide, how to or its consequences. I finally went back to triage desk where a nurse sat on her cell phone looked up like hey. She told me she texted nurse as well. 1.5 hour in they texted for me to come to main triage desk. I get there the nurse looks at me like she didnt send a text. She explained there was not really s clear diagnosis, xrays, stc., but she will remain there until they can locate a Rehab or SNF. The nurse seated next to her answered their cell phone and it was a personal call. I saw a lot of workers, talking, on phones. Yet patients families waiting to find out what going on with loved ones. When i headed out by 7pm she still had no dinner. She had already skipped lunch. I entered healthcare on the administration side studying healthcare past, present and future. Then nearly 2 hours into visit with my sister a nurse shows up, like you called me. Ugh 2 hours ago. What i heard and saw was disappointing. One patients family followed me to the car to talk about his displeasure with his grandsons care. 16 days pending a Rehab/SNF transfer. But he advised their PT is substandard. I explained to him im a recent PhD enrolled student i cannot do much but post a review and hopes that this hospital will get up to standard as other Medical City locations. Overall, im disappointed for our healthcare system.

I was told by urgent care to go to the nearest ER immediately due to a hema thoracic. Medical City was the closest. I went for a CT scan and there was someone else s blood all around the tube I went inside. I told the nurse and she laughed and said that was gross. I was here with broken Ribs and blood in my lung and received no pain meds for 6 hours, all I was asking for was some Tylenol. They kept telling me they were gonna do things to help me like meds and pillows and never followed through. They would just walk out and never come back. Myself and urgent care told the ER dr what was wrong and he didn t believe us. He said urgent care is a dollar store doctor and made me redo all of the scans X-rays and tests. I called for my nurse because I had to use the restroom and he didn t come for 30 minutes. I had get myself up and to the bathroom before he even made it to my room. The staff is very unprofessional and even cussed in my room while talking to me. I recommend driving to the next city to go to an ER X10 if you are hurt or it is an emergency. Also everyone one was very unhappy at their job. One guy even griped until I told him he needs to find a new job if he is that miserable

Where do I even begin. What a sad experience being in the ER waiting area. The night of 7/18/2024 Took my mom in for chest , arm and jaw pain. Typical cardiac episode symptoms. The poor burned out man at desk took the information hence someone came to get her for an EKG. The EKG reading must not have been at the required edge of death to require attention. She was placed back in waiting area. Having the need to go to the bathroom , she locked the door behind her. I attempted to get a key for the locked door when I couldn t get a response. No key was available and a jiggle on the door handle by the burned out man was unsuccessful. Thankfully, my mom opened the door and proceeded to wait in the lobby. As we waited for her to get tended to, she became sweaty with increased back pain. She then develops a vagal symptom of wanting to go to bathroom. Her clothes were drenched in sweat and she was weak as I assist her unto the toilet. I knelt on the bathroom floor to hold her up. She goes limp several times as I cry and apologize for bringing her here, but it was the closest hospital to our home. I sat her in the wheelchair chair to take her out of bathroom. As we continue to wait in the lobby, her back pain increases and her hands and feet become mottled and she cannot keep her eyes open. I attempt to get the attention of the burned out man at the desk, but since he is the lone person in the receiving desk he has to finish typing in the information of one of several awaiting patients in line. When he pauses and looks at me , i tell him about her deteriorating condition. He tells me they aware and should be coming to get her. When he is done signing in the awaiting patients he grabs the blood pressure machine and rolls it to my mother. I mention that my mom seems to have fainted again, since i saw her go limp, With his highly trained technique of poking his finger into her arm, he apparently with high qualification says she is fine because she attempted to open her eyes. He proceeds to take her blood pressure. 68/45!. NOW he proceeds to call for someone to come and take her to get examined. By the way , what kind of degree does he have? She did have a heart attack while sitting in the lobby, the second EKG confirmed it. I would like to thank Dr. Askari and the nurses who saved her life, hence the 2 stars. ICU nurses are also great, Jeff, Maricela,Alice. instead of fluff remodeling , make what you already have more practical. Ask and listen to what your employees need. Get the burned out man more help. Send him to a nice vacation. I can understand how being surrounded by pain and sorrow can jade anyone. Please dont respond to my comment, just make changes and educate

I had a quadruple bypass done on May 23, 2024... the surgery went great... I feel better than I have in years... But... I was in the Cardiac ICU from the 23rd until the 28th... on the night of the 28th I had a nurse named Judith... FYI: My surgeon had prescribed pain medicine every 4 hours and it is Medical City Arlingtons policy that the patient has to ask for the pain medicine. I asked Judith for my medicine and she informed me that I had reached the hospitals limit for Tylenol... I asked her to check the computer... she did and she was wrong and got embarrassed... she gave me my medicine... Things got a lot worse from there... she got in my disabled wifes face... pointing her finger at her and screaming... I told her she didnt have to be a B___h... the charge nurse names Connie came in and was smirking and being condescending... things were never resolved but they left the room... At 2:00am Connie came in and woke my wife and I up telling me I was being moved to a room in the Cardiac Unit... she had one of those Bariatric wheel chairs that was about 3 wide... FYI: I am overweight... Im 510 and weigh 240... I did not need that wheelchair and told Connie I wanted a standard wheelchair... she left and came back with one of those 3 wheel, red , metal frame wheelchairs that looked like it belonged in a Circus... again I refused... again she left and came back with a standard wheelchair... As I said before my wife is disabled and uses a walker... Connie was running down the halls of the hospital leaving my wife behind... I had to yell at her to slow down... then she tried to close the elevator door on my wife... The room they moved us to at 2:00am did not have a chair for my wife to sleep in... she had to sleep with her head at the foot of my bed and her feet in her walker... Needless to say I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO MEDICAL CITY ARLINGTON... EVER! The only reason I gave them 1 Star is to be able to write this review and hopefully save others the embarrassment, grief and humiliation we went though FYI: Nobody from Medical City ever even attempted to apologize... the hospital physician did tell us that the hospital was NOT a hotel...

The staff and nurses were nice, but they were spread thin and understandably stressed. HCA s (who owns Medical City Arlington) net income for 2023 was $5.2 billion, compared to $5.6 billion in 2022. Their CEO made $21,315,984 yet they don t care enough about the patients to keep them rooms clean?? What about hiring more staff instead of lining shareholders pockets?! Talk about greed!

Also good luck getting a copy of your medical records, having a surgical procedure adequately explained prior or speaking to anyone on the phone willing to help rather than pass you off to another department. Run from this place.

Update: DO NOT HAVE YOUR BABY HERE!!You should be prosecuted. FAKE! I can t respond but that is the fakest response ever. Your facility should be prosecuted and held accountable to the fullest. I went through years of post partum depression. After your nurses said they would come back in a couple mins and was gone an hour. Only one came back. No response to call prior. Had to push with one nurse. Kept asking for my dr while she sat and waited. I was in full active labor and shoulder dystocia!! My child was stuck!! I should have had a c section. Was never checked child s position. I m lucky we didn t die. Also, placenta left. Doctor Oladell did not fully check. Had 2 DCS after and am now left with trauma and ear tinnitus post surgery. Please avoid this disgusting place at all cost!!! Only reason I didn t prosecute was because I was too traumatized to talk about it til it was too late! OP: The worst childbirth experience ever! Nurses seemed overwhelmed and would not come to my room to help me to even use the restroom. Had to pee on a cup twice! Wound up falling down. Had to go back to the hospital later and get more stitches put in. Staff was terrible. My last nurse kept purposely coming in when she knew the baby was sleeping and would purposely talk loud because she thought it was ridiculous I was speaking low with him. She asked if dad was sleeping and I said no. She went right back to speaking loud again. Despite him being born at 940pm and even the 2 days we were there all he got were little power naps. The doctor and nurses did not catch some things and he was born sideways. Got stuck and his collarbone was completely severed. He would cry anytime we barely move and refused to let us put him down. I was robbed of something I can never get back. I hate this place!!!

They probably pawned it, or else they would return my phone calls.i went up there and spoke with security, They did not find Dads wedding band. The doctor here was sub par in my opinion. Nurses would not help get Dad off the pot after placing him on there, I had to do it myself and Dad couldnt walk.

Terrible. I went to the Medical City in North Richland Hills at 8pm with upper abdominal pain. They did a CT scan and said I was fine and sent me on my way at midnight. They referred me to a GI specialist for follow up. I still had pain all night long and called the GI at 7am. They didn t open until 8:30. Once I got ahold of someone at 8:30, they didn t have an appointment for 3 weeks. I m still in pain now, so they told me to go back to the ER. I went back to the Richland Hills ER by 8:50am. They did a MRI that was inconclusive, and transferred me here to Arlington to see the GI at 5pm. 5pm traffic so I arrived at 6pm. I am still waiting for a room at 10pm. I was told I could eat until midnight, then fast for the endoscopy. Well if I haven t been given a room, I am not offered food according to my diet. Nurse Jose at ER check in was rude to my spouse when he was looking for me. Then another nurse I heard her say into her walky I don t know what half these people need so I told her, I m waiting on a room. She tells me unfortunately there are no rooms WHY WAS I TRANSFERRED TO A PLACE WITH NO ROOM FOR ME!? There are several people that have been here waiting longer than I. I however, have been at a hospital since 8am with no food. I feel so faint and frustrated with this brand. I recommend JPS in downtown. Don t come to Medical City. They have no business being a hospital. Plus now I have 3 hospital visit bills to pay because of the poor quality of care from the original overnight staffs poor quality of care.

Watching videos. Well, as nurses, they can be on the cell phone and the computer, wasting time, they have few cleaning staff (Houskeeping), the hallways are horribly dirty, the Houskeeping staff, some of them, not all of them are on the cell phone. I worked here before the pandemic and I left because With us Hispanics, the management at that time was a young dark-skinned man who was very mean to us Hispanic women. How much must they be paying Jonh Commission so that the Hospital does not close to them. This one and another one in Mensfield are terribly dirty. The hospital emerges from the emergency but the entire hospital internally is very, very poorly managed because they give the lead example of mess to those who do not know about cleaning, they give the lead of management to those who have no idea about it, and so on all the departments,

After coming here with a child in dire need of medical attention. They ended up sending us out saying labs are normal. The dr was so short and rude. The nurse agreed that the Dr. isn t that great and is probably missing something. Clearly something is wrong with the child. After getting home printing out labs and comparing them from cooks and here. We noticed MANY missed things on the labs that pointed to HSP disease. I m not quite sure why the dr is even a dr. She was so rude and didn t care. Why spend 12 years in school to not even attempt to help a child? It was just heartbreaking being turned around as a mother knowing something is seriously wrong. The dr was so off putting, I ll never return. And she should retire because you can tell she hates her job. I ll edit her name in here later. Confirmed he has severe case of HSP.

I cannot describe how wonderful of an experience we had here giving birth to our daughter. I was so nervous, but the nurse in my delivery room calmed every fear I was having, and took such wonderful care of me. I labored all through the night and she was patient, uplifting, and relaxed during stressful times which made me feel at peace. Everyone walked me through exactly what they were doing and cared about what I had to say. Cannot brag on them enough!! When I got up to the postpartum room, Emma and the nurse with her were FANTASTIC. The perfect people to have next to you during such a life changing time. We were so impressed with not only their confidence and knowledge, but how they made us feel important and cared for. You can tell they love what they do and they are so skilled at it. One of my biggest fears was not enjoying my labor and delivery experience due to the nurses. God absolutely answered my prayers at Medical City of having a great team who made it smooth and as enjoyable as giving birth can be. Well weeks later and now Im scheduling a cardiologist appointment because my daughter still complains of a pain in her chest. I am a sick person I m dying of cancer on top of all the heart history that I have and the doctor does not care about his patients. I don t recommend this hospital just in case you get him As a hospitalist because he will not take care of you. He should be fired for not doing his job. I had no problem with the ER nor with the nurses or doctors in the ER. Just to let you know how fired Dr. Kumar. But I promise I will never come back to this hospital again. This hospital should be ashamed to have a doctor like that that will not take care of his patient. Went to visit family and was not impressed with this facility or faculty, whatsoever. No one to help guide you as signage is not effective. Once we got to our room, we attempted to speak with nursing staff multiple times and were told they were unavailable and waited over an hour to finally speak with someone. All around, the quality of care is severely diminished to none. Communication was less than ineffective as we were given many different responses for the same questions. No real time updates for plan of care, no information on results or those pending, very much left in the dark. Left a voicemail for the patient relations representative as we waited for nursing staff to respond. Unbelievable that they are still using COVID units and blamed covid for late food tray delivery OR NOT EVER RECEIVING ONE AT ALL. Completely unacceptable. This organization really needs to improve their standards of care and jump on board with evidence based practices of modern day healthcare. I would never allow my loved one to be cared for here. We couldn t even get a chair that was functional nor a sink for handwashing ON A CONTACT PRECAUTION PATIENT.

I want to share my experience. First of all emergency room staffs were really attentive no issues although it was a little messy the wheel chair they put me on had a lot of fresh blood and i told them . Looked like all the wheel chairs aren t being clean after each patient i understand because there is traffic of patients coming in but i recommend adding more staff to clean . Second , also the 3rd floor where i was was really dirty crumbs were all on the floor along with medical wrappers and the night shift nurse on 3/18 were just had a sour response and attitude except a couple nurses . I had previous had been on the 3rd floor in the woman s side of the 3rd floor . They were super clean and amazing staff there as well . Tony , Bri , Benjamin and the drs were amazing . Tuesday day - nurse Cheryl Hanson was my nurse. She Had neglected me and i had just gotten out of surgery. Didn t bring no liquids for me to drink . I was gagging and spitting out fluids i was 2 hours post op at this point still no liquids and was coughing spitting out and my mother was looking for the bags that hang and she just looked at me and then my mom and walked away while i was waving my arms to help me . Also , I was telling nurse Cheryl something and she walked away while i was talking and said well stop drinking so much water and left talking under her breath . Then nurse Julian took over and she was so helpful and sweet to me and finally brought me fluids asked me without me having to ask and a lot of question was very sweet . I told Julian about Cheryl , that this is abuse and neglect . I m 41 and i can only imagine how elderly people must be treated and abuse by her . I will say this . The surgery crew today were so amazing comfort me and was clean Doctors, nurses , aids all of them - amazing team. Until i got to my room today after surgery. Straight neglect and it s now 7p still have been given liquid diet ( broth) . I hope this gets to someone because it s so

I don t know where to begin. This has to be the nastiest hospital experience I ve ever had. I mean just utterly disgusting! Unfortunately I gave birth here! When it was time for me to push there was only one working foot stirrup on the bed. A nurse had to hold my other leg. (I just thought ok whatever) once I gave birth there was some blood on the floor and the nurses were tracking it all over the floor with their shoes. (But that was just the delivery room and soon I would be moving into a recovery room so once again I just thought ok whatever.) I get to my recovery room, the nurses are now tracking blood around in there! I had to call housekeeping to come in to mop the room I had JUST been moved to! Once I was able to shower I did, and the restroom was gross!!! Hair was in the shower, on the walls, in the drain and on the floors when I stepped out the shower! There was even the bar of soap left from the last person still in the soap dish in the shower! The sink was nasty and had not been cleaned. The couch in my room was an old fabric couch that was so dirty my family had to put down sheets over the couch to sit down when they visited. It was hot in my room so I tried to adjust my room temperature but the thermostat did not work! I asked the nurse about it and she said other rooms across the floor were having the same issue and that a work order was being put in. So I had to sit in that hot room with my newborn baby for a while . I ll admit The staff was GREAT!! But the condition of those rooms are so unsanitary I don t recommend any woman giving birth here! (Also I was forewarned to not give birth here for the same reasons by someone else and I wish I would have listened! ) Now I m forewarning whomever may be reading this!!!

I had to sit in pain through xray and come back to ask another nurse where my pain meds were. She then proceeds to give me a shot which the doctor never stated. I had to remind her that I want what the doctor stated not what she chooses. She tells me the doctor will have to order it in. She finally comes back with my medicine. They come in, they give pills, and that s all you see of them. They don t even lift the sheet to see if the IV is running or check to see if they are giving the pills to the right person. The imaging department takes two days for an MRI or Echo. The excuse is always we re short staffed . We sat in the ER for over 36 hours waiting on a bed. When we got to the floor it wasn t any better. After they screwed up the discharge, I asked to speak to the house supervisor. She says she s going to get a physician to round no doctor.. The Medical Staff at this facility stated that its Hospital Policy to withdraw life support from a patient in no more than 4 hours after it has been determined that the patient shows no signs of brain activity. They then went on to say that Hospital Policy overrides any state law in regards to Health Care. To be sure I contacted The Texas Health and Human Services Commission ( which oversees health services in the state) and in the first sentence of their reply it said the following ( Mr. Rico, No, hospital policy does not override state law. In Texas, state law would take precedence over any individual hospitals policy. The Texas Advance Directives Act provides the legal framework for how decisions regarding life-sustaining treatment should be handled.) When I brought this to their attention they called the police on me and continued with removing life support and letting my brother pass away. Its no wonder why their lawyer refuses to answer any of my attorneys phone calls or emails. The medical staff was by law required to give me a 25 days notice of their intent to withdraw life support. When this happened the first time they gave me a 2 hour and 50 minutes notice. When all was said and done my brother who had healthcare coverage died and was never given a chance to recover. I wouldnt recommend that anyone ever come here if they expected to receive professional healthcare.

I do not recommend anyone to go this hospital because they just treat you totally unfair I thought if you go to the er they are supposed to help you and attempt to fix the problem not treat you like an outcast that doctor did him wrong no matter who you are you are supposed to do your job and not cause more harm or prescribe someone a steroid for high blood pressure this hospital really needs to get it together and stop judging people for coming to the er

Life can always come around full circle and be a blessing and humbling , Im a current employee at Medical City of Arlington but became a patient here recently and when I say the care and professionalism was awesome from the ED admission all the way to my room On 4 north. Doctor Satani was my admitting doctor and his compassionate care and excellent experience and knowledge was just what the doctor ordered he listened and did what was best for me and my care and got me well in no time I m blessed to have had him as a doctor and this was not his only time being a blessing to me he has been my mothers doctor several times and when I say the best care and experience and so educated and care about your safety and wellbeing each time and he never seems to surprise us we always know we are in great hands with him and the staff, for that me and my family will forever be humbly grateful and thankful. I would I like to also thank my night nurse Mrs. Shelia Mixon she was awesome sweet , kind , professional , just full circle awesome she is the definition of what the word NURSE means and that s the best feeling to have when your sick and away from your kids and family she made me feel safe and like my care was top priority so too her a great big thank you and wishes of many blessings for her. Signed up for the maternity tour a few weeks ago, drove 30 min in tonight for the 6-7pm tour to only be told by a security guard at the front that nobody showed up for the earlier tour, so they cancelled. They re bad at communicating, sometimes they don t call. This is the last thing I want to hear about a hospital I m supposed to trust with not only my life, but my unborn child s. I am disgusted by this total lack of regard for your current/future patients. How can we take you seriously if you can t even communicate to your prospective patients? I m glad I came to see for myself before I m disappointed during labor.

The doctor I had, Jessica, was going to send me back home when I was at 4 cm and IN pain and my heart rate was up until this male doctor (savior) popped in the room and told her that im in pain and my heart rate is up and telling HER that I am in LABOR. She was just rude the whole night and didn t even give any words of comfort just pop in and out. I had a 4 degree tear and NONE of the doctors during that time checked up on me or even gave me STOOL SOFTENER before I left. All I can say I felt very neglected , and still face issues with my tear up until this day since November, this was the worst pregnancy and labor and medical help I have ever recieved just because I have Medicaid and I felt so little. The nurses HOWEVER at medical city, hands down to them for having waaayyy more compassion annd suppper helpful. And they re the sweetest both emergency, delivery and baby and mom room.

Now about the doctors that are contract employees of HCA (the company that owns all medical city hospitals) . These Drs abilities are highly questionable. They have drank the corporate Kool aid. Its all about the bottom line not about getting the patient well. My recommendation is to stay out of any HCA facility. I apologize to the nursing staff for the 3 star rating , your doctors are dragging you down.

Last night, I had to go to the emergency room and was surprised by the condition of the room and the waiting area. Both areas were not just filthy but they were a health hazard. The room I was in was not cleaned from the previous patient. On the floor underneath my chair was a band and a plastic cap with blood on the tip that was used to draw blood from the previous patient. After the nurse drew my blood, they left the used supplies on one of the machines. The thermometer covers that are placed on the thermometer before your temperature is taken were lying on the floor. Rather than discarding the cup after the nurses filled the necessary vials of urine, they left it on the table with an open hole on the lid. In one of the trays, there were open packages of supplies that had been used on the previous patient. Ive been to the ER a few times in the past, and these areas were always well maintained. Im very disappointed in MCA. On a positive note, the nurses, techs, & staff were amazing!!! I was treated with so much care and compassion.

12/22/23 I would give no stars if I could. I have been here so far for over 6 hours, and for the majority of those hours, I have been sitting in the lobby with an IV in my arm waiting for results. A girl who was here less time than me just left, and the lobby is almost empty, yet I am still waiting while watching them call peoples names who left! I shouldve gone to Baylor because THIS is ridiculous a guy just asked them to take his IV out because hes SICK of waiting as am I. 3:30 a.m., they call me back for a chest X-ray! I was supposed to be waiting for discharge papers. Even the radiologist said Ive been here LONG. Theres blood in my IV Ive been here so long. They even tried telling me they called me and I was not in the lobby! I have been in the same seat for hours. I will not be back, first and LAST visit! Update: After my chest x-ray, I sat in the lobby another 2 hours. There were only 3 other people in the waiting room with me. I left around 6 am! 930pm-6am, I sat in the ER .

None of the staff communicates with you but they dont seem to communicate with each other either so I dont think its personal. Just standard operating procedure at this place. They will ignore you and heaven forbid you need help during shift change at 7pm or 7am. Nothing happens during shift change and you will hear constant excuses about it. And if you come on a friday you will be here all weekend because all doctors have those days off and you have to wait until they get back just to ask for an aspirin or gasx and then it will be 4 hours because they dont have it. Luckily there is a walgreens down the street. The rooms are filthy and rarely cleaned. Dust falls from the ceiling onto peoples open wounds. I would not even send my worse enemies here. They force my mom to stay 48 hours beyond what she needed for and basically so they can charge up her insurance company. Any hospital that does things or otherwise like that does not need to protect anyone. If you have family there move them asap and take them to a less greedy fraudulent place any one says we need more isurance money aka fraud from said patient keep her here for this amount of time. While they get money and milk it commits fraud. Any doctor that agree commits fraud.... and did to on purpose. I understand that we are in the ER which can be busy at times but there is no reason as to why the ER nurses administered medication to my elderly grandmother, who was in the middle of a seizure and was not in her right mind to accept nor reject medication and did it without my mom present who was in the waiting room because they told her she could not come to the back because my grandmother was not in a room yet, but was in a room the whole time.... make it make sense. And when my mom asked why they gave her medication they wouldnt answer her and just left the room entirely only for a new nurse to come in without answers either. Then the new nurse came in and was completely rude, and told my grandmother to straighten her arm which was bent and shoved her arm straight and actually hurt her more. This is why we go to Arlington Memorial, the staff there actually treats patients with respect... I honestly wonder why some of these people choose a profession that helps people when they look so bothered. Oh and how does a hospital run out of pillows......

I have had the absolute WORST experience with Medical City Arlington. During my pregnancy I went to their maternity triage center twice. The nurses acted as if I was a huge inconvenience. In fact my husband and I could hear them talking at the nurses station about wanting to tell the next patient that they were full (they were most definitely not full). We also heard them say that some of the on call doctors will turn their pagers off so they can avoid taking patients. The nurse struggled with my fetal monitor and blood work. Fast forward to the day I delivered. Again, most of the nurses seemed absolutely over it. This was our 1st baby and just not a pleasant or welcoming place to give birth. When they broke my water it hurt and when I expressed this they said well it shouldn t and left it at that. The nurses and ob on call were pushing for me to have a c section but thankfully my ob was on call and came in just in time so I was able to deliver naturally. The cherry on top is their HORRIBLE BILLING DEPARTMENT!!! We made a 400 dollar payment before leaving the hospital and they have lost it. They don t know where it is. I have called every number available, sent banking statements to them etc. mostly I am told they just don t know or it isn t their problem. I have asked to be connected to some type of manager but every-time I get transferred the mail box is full or that department says it isn t their responsibility.. and the cycle repeats itself. It is now November I would love for someone to reach out and help me with the MAJOR problem. You can t just take a patients money, lose it and offer no solution. I would caution anyone from doing business (because that s what it is) with this establishment.

He rushed my brother during the whole process, mocked him about his pain, and laughed in his face. I have been trying to reach corporate to file a complaint against Landen, however I m not able to get in touch with anybody. After a failed sono IV attempt Landen then proceeded to blame my brother and he lied to all the nurses telling them that my brother had pulled his IV out intentionally. That caused me to get hostile with the Lead Nurse Erin because I heard her make a comment saying well if that s how he s going to act he can stay in pain . continued from another review: At around 11 a physician s assistant with the GI department came by. She advised that there was a GI doctor there and didnt know why I was sent to that facility! She said that she would try to find a doctor to come in to do my procedure that day or the nest day at the latest. Not 20 minutes later a social worker was in my room asking me to sign another transfer order. I am livid, I refuse, I advised that if I am changing facilities that I was leaving in my own vehicle and would be going to Fort Worth to Texas Health Resources. She said she understood, and she would talk to the charge nurse and get back to me! 1 pm came and went 2 pm came and went. Around 1pm I ask for pain meds again and I am told that the doctor order Tylenol( I cant swallow and you order Tylenol) When I questioned the nurse she says yeah I know but this is what he has ordered, I asked to speak to him, but wasnt allowed to. He instead orders all the same test done the night before. including one that makes my body forcefully attempt to vomit. Remember I cant swallow, nothing goes up or down. At 3pm I asked for my nurse again, again I ask for meds for pain again I am told nothing is ordered but Tylenol, which I cant swallow. I advised my nurse that my husband was on his way and I was checking myself out AMA and I would be going to Texas Health Resources. Finally, a charge nurse magically appeared, she said that a GI doctor had agreed to come in and do the procedure, they just had to work out his Liability insurance since he was technically on call. My husband arrives about 645. Still no procedure. They said that a room was ready upstairs, and we could wait for the procedure there. I asked when the procedure would be, and she called the doctor and said 830. I agreed and was transferred up to the 4th floor. On the 4th floor I was greeted by the floor charge nurse and house supervisor that may not be her title, but she apologized and assured me that I would be taken care of. At around 930 I was taken down to the procedure. I was greeted by a wonderful anesthesiologist. We had to re-do my IV and a wonderful and very apologetic GI doctor. Neither could explain why it took everything that it did to get it done but it did. They kept me over night, ordered a swallow test to confirm I could eat. I was released at around 2:30pm today 9/20.

Transferred from Weatherford. Upon arrival at 245 am, I am placed on a gurney in the hall, with no privacy being stared at by several other patients. Two of these patients were there for blood draw to confirm DWI for Arlington PD. I was seen by the doctor and advised that they were going to admit me, and a GI specialist would see me on the floor. I waited, and waited, and waited at about 500 am, I ask if I was being transferred to my room and told not anytime soon. She asked was there anything she could do to make me more comfortable, and I said yes, find me a dark room. I was then placed in a room in the PEDI ER area. At 645 Iwas beginning to get very nauseous and my pain was getting bad again. Last meds had been given at arrival. I pressed my call light, and it took 15 minutes to get an answer and I asked my nurse for meds and to get up and go to the rest. She said OK she be right back. At 745am I asked again for pain meds and restroom and my daytime nurse very rudely explained that she had just got there, and she would look into it. At 845, I detached myself from the Pulse ox and blood pressure monitor and walked out of room and the daytime nurse and another staff member where there laughing and cutting up talking about everything, but patient care and I interrupted them and ask when she was going to do her job and help me to the restroom and get my meds. She yelled at me to go back to my room, and I refused. I said I was going to the restroom if she would tell me where it was. She yelled at me again to go to my room and as I turned around, I found a restroom. I came back out and demanded to speak to a charge nurse. Then suddenly, I was taken to another ER department room. I was given my meds and told I would be in there until the room was ready. It is now 930am.

I broke my leg and needed surgery. My first night in the hospital, the nurse only gave me muscle relaxers. Second day, anytime I pressed the call button, it took 30 minutes to answer, and another hour to show up. They take so long to help and the help they give is so minimal.

Had my wife in there for 5 days! ER did not really know how to diagnose her. When she got to her room, they started giving her meds even after i gave them her most recent medication list. Was making her worse. After being discharged they sent prescriptions to a pharmacy we havent used in15 yrs. Again fryhey never asked us what pharmacy to send her meds to. They would do vital signs the 3 to 4 hours later give her meds, sh should be check vital signs then you know what meds to give her immediately. Never going back, from a list in the system from 3 yrs ago

I highly recommend using this facility for your medical needs. Ive had several procedures at this facility over the last year and I couldnt be happier. The staff was great and always available. They always went out of their way to make sure I was cared for and comfortable during my stay. The food was always hot, tasty and on time. I have been to hospitals all over the world and this facility is number one, by far.

Wouldn t even take a splinter out of my foot. Unnecessary testing I ve had over this splinter 2 CT scans, 1 xray, 7 viles of blood drawn, 1 EKG, urinalysis, an Rx for Tylenol, Rx for hydrocodone (never asked for pain meds). They tried to give me Tylenol in the ER. declined. The person doing the EKG took my entire breast out of the bra. Did NOT consent to that. The medical system is completely broken. And I still have the splinter. Limping around with a swollen foot.

do not come here, go anywhere else but here! read all the recent reviews this place is not a well functioning hospital they have doctors who stay in the room for 30 seconds that some how get to make decisions for you without ever seeing you again days later or night doctors that literally NEVER SEE YOU even when you request it several times that change your meds without seeing you or talking to you; nurses that you have to push the call button over 5 times to even talk to someone. you will see the the food delivery workers (who are very nice and do great jobs) more than you will see a doctor or nurse. please go to another hospital, do not come here, do not send your family or love ones here. it is not worth it. please go somewhere else. do not come here also, medical city arlington account you can comment and tell me to call the patient advocate, guess what i did and i m glad y all get to work a 9-5 when this place is open 24/7 but don t have anyone on call 24/7 when patients are here 24/7 . real smart
