Apparently if you leave a negative review on Facebook it will be removed by the page administrator. What honesty and integrity. Terrible experience with Melody Cooper. I hired an attorney to help me navigate through a divorce and custody of my daughter l. I hired an attorney because I dont understand the law the way an attorney does. Part of an attorneys job is to explain things that are unclear so the client can make the best decisions for a favorable outcome. It would stand to reason if there is something that would be detrimental to a positive outcome for the client the attorney would bring it to the clients attention and do whatever it takes to make sure the client is receiving the best legal advice. Well apparently thats not the case with Melody Cooper. Once she has your money she will do whatever it takes to close the case whether its what is best for the client or not. The custody agreement she worked out allowed my daughter to be taken out of the country legally without any consideration for the parent child relationship and without permission from the court which Melody told me would have to be done before she would be able to take my daughter out of the state of Texas. Worst experience with an attorney Ive ever had.

She is not a blue collar lawyer, she could care less about your case unless you have large assets and sums of money even then I would be skeptical and hate to see what her fees would be. My case was supposed to be fast as I was told it, drug out for almost 8 months. When I called or sent text messages she acted as it was a huge inconvenience, she went on vacation or out of town throughout my case. I have no children with my ex and I was completely taken to the cleaners, my ex took money from me up to the very last day and I had no say, when it was all done I was not even informed that my divorce was finalized. Read the reviews and do your research. Worst part is she was recommended by people who do have money and wealth.

Absolutely loved our experience with Melody! She is very efficient -- we inquired with her on a Monday, paid her on Tuesday and papers were served by Friday. (She also had to locate the person so this timeliness shows how efficient she is!) She wasted no time, and SHE personally answers all questions and handles everything herself rather than delegating the real work to her assistants. I hope we never have to hire another family law attorney but in that case... I will always run to Melody Cooper! And anyone needing an attorney for family messiness, I highly recommend her!

When I broke up with the mother of my child, she left my place. I came home to find her gone and my son gone. It devastated me, and I shed tears immediately. I reached out to Mrs. Cooper earlier this year for help in probating my mothers will and have nothing but positive reviews from my experience. This was not an easy task as I come from a large family (12 brothers and sisters plus numerous nephews, nieces). To complicate matters more, my late father did NOT leave a will, and required establishing rightful heirship by going to court. Mrs. Cooper was not reluctant nor intimidated by taking on my case. I am happy to say, it is finalized! I have to admire her knowledge, experience, and willingness to succeed. I highly recommend Mrs. Cooper to anyone looking to probate a will or any family legal matter.

I could say a lot of things but I will not be rude I asked her for a will I asked her for a power of attorneys at the time I did that she was not in corpus Christi she was in Nevada I believe it was so I thought you know she was taking care of her business up there because of the pandemic and she was worried about getting the virus and I understood that but when it came to my will and it became to my power of attorney she had her secretary send it to me and we went through it all and when she got her 750 bucks never heard from her again and then I had to go out to the UPS store and get everything notarized you know you would think for $750 your lawyer would be there to notarize it for you but I do not recommend this lawyer at all

I hired Ms.Cooper a year and a half ago in regards to a very complicated custody dispute that s been going on for the last 5 years. She was very reasonable in pricing, highly educated, took priority in my case and always communicated with me when the time came and put my fears at ease. She made me feel a sense of reassurance. The other party was very complicated to try and work with and I had doubts that we would drag it out into trial. But Ms. Cooper was able to settle our dispute and modify our custody without the battle. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest !!! And it s been all thanks To Mrs. Melody Cooper !!! I would def have her by my side when your needing counsel and guidance. Do NOT attempt to go it alone. A hearty Thank You to Melody Cooper for assisting me and my husband in securing a legal, transparent, and concise Will, Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney, and Medical Directive for each of us in the event that one of us precedes the other, and beyond as well. I recently lost my father who left a handwritten will, named no executor, named all beneficiaries by first name only and signed it with only a first name. He left no indication of policies, accounts, or assets other than basically his house which is to be split between my estranged half sister and me. Needless to say, it s a mess and will cost us more to pay a lawyer to arrange hearings to verify the will, verify the beneficiaries, and name an administrator. I absolutely do not want our children to suffer through probate without a clear understanding of where important documents are and who gets what. Each of the children will get a copy of all the paperwork so there are no questions and none of them is blindsided. Melody was able to help us make decisions and get it witnessed and notarized all in one visit to her office. Yes, there are wills you can create online , but after what I ve been through dealing with my father s probate, which is moving at a snail s pace and has been costly, it is certainly worth the peace of mind I have that our children won t inherit a limited, or possibly, unclear representation of our final wishes. Melody talked a good game at first! Then once she got our 5k deposit she literally took a 2 week Vacation on us! After that it just got worse! She did work and gave advice to the other side and charged us for it? A grand total of 7k and wanted more for a bunch of Chicken Scratch on paper? Never a Real final Document? This is the WORST choice you could ever make for an Attorney if you can call her that?

Melody Cooper is a wonderful lawyer and once you give her your facts she works at lightening speed to get the very best results for you! We needed help with a child custody case being filed in another city and county! She managed to work with the lawyer and us and brought about a resolution to the case without us having to leave town or consult with the other party. We were so impressed with how she worked with the other lawyer and was available to us anytime we needed her. When she called on a Sunday I asked if she knew it was the weekend and she just laughed and said she wanted to get our case resolved as soon as possible for the children s sake!
