Came to celebrate my partners birthday and it was a great evening. Our bartender/server Allen was super patient with us while we decided what to get and had nice recommendations. They were also just the right amount of attentive whilst still managing the bar area and getting all the other drinks made.

This was my first time at the melting pot. We went for our anniversary dinner, and I can t say enough good things about it. While the food was amazing (seriously, had a borderline spiritual experience) the service really stood out up and above the phenomenal bar set by the dishes. Dylan was not only extremely personable and fun, but also extremely knowledgeable on not only the menu items, able to instruct on what pairs well with what and what decisions you should make given your taste. Can recommend enough. Will be back (many , many times)!

Came in on a calm Wednesday, for their new happy hour deal I saw advertised on social media. The Down to Fondue promotion gets you half off of cheese and chocolate courses (the most popular ones are here), plus specials on bar drinks! Make the weekday a little more fancy. Service from Alan was excellent, he graciously took care of us - again, totally empty dining room on a weekday- and was so attentive. Signed up for the marketing club emails, get coupons and freebies for your birthday or anniversary. Yum now and yum later!

We visited this location once before a couple years ago and really enjoyed the experience. We sat in a booth with high wall partitions and the setting was very intimate even though they were busy, the server also was very cool, doing tricks with the oil and the pot and was very attentive. This visit was a little different, partly due to going in with already high expectations. We made a 8pm reservation and added to that reservation that it was our wedding anniversary. We were seated right next to the kitchen door (please lubricate that door so loud!), the area was very busy and loud, I guess they were short staffed because the manager was serving our section of tables. We waited 40 minutes for water (our cheese did come out in about 30). We did hear the manager ask 3 different people to bring us water, I ended up going out to the car and grabbing a water bottle before the water finally came. On the plus side things got a little better after some other patrons left, and the manager did give us some small parting gifts for our anniversary. Overall I mostly marked off for the atmosphere and wait time. 4 stars still over all because the food was pretty good and the manager was trying her best. Dietary restrictions: Julia was very attentive to food allergy request

Overpriced for the small cuts of meats they give you. Our waiter had no personality at all, very dry, slow, and rude, and this was for a young girls birthday. The hostesses and bartender were the only saving grace, but that experience only lasted for 8 min of the 4-hour meal! For less money, go around the corner to the Keg, get yourself a nice cut of streak and a glass of wine for less than what youre going to spend here.

We have never had a bad experience here. Reservations are recommended, but not mandatory. Vegetarian options: They have a few different options. Just call and ask. Parking: Its in a large area that shares parking with multiple other businesses, bars, restaraunts, and even an Improv and arcade.

We have never had this type of experience, ever. Be aware, you WILL have to cook your own entrees. For those that complain about this, it is just part of this type of dining experience. If you do it right, it will take about 2 hours so be prepared for that too. We got one of the dinner specials for 2 people. It s just enough food, which is great because we appreciate that fine balance of just enough. They have an expansive menu with lots and lots of options for cheese fondue, salads, entrees AND dessert. We loved the salmon and center cut filet cooked mojo style. Service was just amazing. We live down the street from this location and will definitely be back.

We actually went to the restaurant yesterday and the food was so delicious and the service by David was so amazing that we went back today when my son came to visit. As soon as you walk in you will be greeted warmly by the lovely Ella. We requested to have David as our server again. He made sure the service was impeccable and he is fun to talk to. He really does all he can to make sure your visit is relaxing and enjoyable. He knows the menu and makes great recommendations. My adult children loved the drinks by the amazing bartender, Tyler so much that they stopped at the bar for one more drink. I was the designated driver. Tyler is also a lot of fun to talk to. I hope the managers know what a treasure these three employees are. I never dined here before this week, but this will be a new regular place to go to relax and have a great meal.

It was busy and about a 35 minute wait even though we were told 20 minutes, so you should make a reservation if you can. Food was good and the experience is unique and nice. You only get one lobster tail if you order it to share with your partner and it s over priced. Dinner was advertised as 115 but the bill was about 180 before tip. Will come again and just skip the lobster tail! It s a Nice quiet place and the servers are good.

First we were sat at a very small table where we couldn t even have space for everything and the server didn t even offer to take the menus out of the way. I had to reach over and ended up dropping fondue in my drink. We have gone on every year on our anniversary and have always been treated with so much respect until today. It felt like we were just in our servers way and that we didn t matter. I understand not everyone cause have great days but it was a special night for us that didn t feel like it thanks to our server. I guess before we decided to skip the meat this time that it isn t good enough. I felt very rushed, thankfully the food was good. We were treated much better at the Addison location so I guess we will go there every year from now on.

For the pricing, it is fun to go to, perhaps once or twice...but were not going regularly. Over $300 for 4 people. We found that they charged us for drink refills we didnt ask for, she just brought them over and over, taking our half full glasses so we assumed they were free. Then they tacked on the tip, giving us no choice in the matter. I wont be back this decade. Too bad...we go out frequently and this wont happen again at that price point. I have a table top grill and fondue at home. I can cook my own food there. Not that impressed by the meat quality, I could not even bite through the steak I cooked medium rare. No matter how little or long I cooked. It was more like roast. Table, cook top, napkin and eating ware were all filthy upon seating...MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHECK THEM. EEEEEWWW Easy to get and make reservation here, Its clear why. Vegetarian options: Theres a vegetable tray, with veggie broth to cook in, for Vegans. For Lacto Ovo Vegetarians the veggie tray and fruit trays as well as cheese and chocolate fondue will work. Also a wide variety of salads. Parking: Parking was very easy. There was nobody there but us for the 3 1/2 hours we were there. Kid-friendliness: The high chairs were extremely filthy, in a most vile, sticky, scraped and disgusting way. Straps were so horrid. Bring a cover and disinfectant. Just YUCK. Other than that, if your child is above toddler stage, they will love this!

When we were in the table she threw the menu list to the table, and said wait for our server. And she just leave with her angry face! SHE IS RUDE TO US AND ACTING LIKE WE CAN T AFFORD TO EAT THERE!!!! We didn t do anything to her, that s why I don t understand why she was mad to us. We just standing there and wait for the person who will assist us to our table. But as soon as she saw US she never smile and she had angry face.I understand we have a bad day, but throwing your anger to us is not good. My husband told me, are you ready leave? Because i dont wanna eat and my appetite is loosing already. So I said let s leave!!!! But my daughter said, lets see if our waitress is nice. So my husband said, okay let s stay if our waitress is nice & accommodating. If not, let s just go to other place to celebrate our anniversary. Im glad our waitress was nice and friendly. But coming back to this place is big no no to me . That girl almost ruin our Anniversary celebration. I rather go to Dallas to eat again Fondue. It was not disclosed on the website nor anywhere else that if you go on Mothers day, you cannot order from the regular published menu. The five course menu online is listed at $79/person. The Mothers day menu that we were forced to order from had less options than that for $90 per person! That $90 price tag was not publicized anywhere, not even on the menu in the restaurant! It wasnt until the end of the meal when our bill came our to $454 for four people that we were even aware of it! We went in there wanting to order the two person meal for $125. We will never return. No meal is worth an entire months worth of grocery money! Had we known what we were getting into, we would have walked out and never had eaten there in the first place. Update: The companys response below is no excuse. The reservation was under Ricardo Lagos, my husband, as it was to be a gift from him. He is deaf and doesnt receive voicemails or take phone calls. I ended up having to pay the check as he was totally blind sided by all this. I dont want to discuss your lack of good business sense with you. This is not how to run a business!

We went for our 5th anniversary date. The service started out good, but between the main course and the dessert, our server disappeared for over 30 minutes after we had finished our food. Our plates were cleared by someone else, and we just sat there wondering what happened to our server. She eventually showed up with dessert like nothing had happened. Then, at the end, I asked for our picture to be taken, as it was part of the package we had bought. The server looked confused and told me we did not get a picture and wouldn t take one. I didn t argue with her but knew she was wrong. I asked the hostess as we were leaving and she said that we were supposed to get a picture. So she took one of us by the host stand which was disappointing, I wanted a picture of us at the table. They also told us we d have to come back for a frame as they didn t have any, but we live 45 minutes away so I ll never get that. The food and management were great, but we were a bit disappointed with our visit.

This is a GREAT place for a cozy, intimate date with your significant other. Its definitely on the pricier side so its not for a normal dinner but the booths are built so well that you have all the privacy in the world and can have those little conversations with each other about whatever and just enjoy each other company putting the phones down. Drinks are yummy, I personally recommend the Revolver Martini if you like bourbon.

Very good food and service. First, you dip fruit and bread into a cheese pot of your choice of cheese. The second course is the salad of your choice. Third is your main entree, which I got land and sea. For the main entree, you boil raw shrimp, steak, and salmon in a boiling pot. Fourth is dessert of your choice of chocolate to dip it in.

The worst Melting Pot experience. We made reservations to celebrate my birthday and were so looking forward to it. We have always had an excellent time at other Melting Pots. Walking in the door there were 20 people waiting to even check in, with no hostess in sight. We weren t seated until 30 minutes after our reservation. No one greeted us, and the hostess didn t even apologize for the wait until after we said something. Half an hour later, we didn t even have drinks. So an hour after our reservation, without even salad to start, we left. Such a disappointing experience. I doubt we ll ever go back to a Melting Pot. Plenty of better restaurants to enjoy a $200 meal.

We popped in here on the afternoon of December 23.. a last stop in our Festivus celebrations. We were only coming in to have a drink at the bar. - 3 females at hostess area all laughing, putting in Santa hats- 1 on a stool, 1 on the floor- 1 greeted us finally after we spoke first. - bartender was running late so a young lady made her way over and was very nice- made our drinks - but told us twice that she is not the bartender. We dont care. We just need to be served. - bartender finally showed up and was drinking coffee and had his hands in his hair several times as he was now attempting to put in a Santa hat. Not very clean. - girls at the front continued goofing off the entire time we were there. 1 hour 12 mins. - we never saw any evidence of any leader or manager. - we asked for football to be put in the tv - they were playing Star Wars and lord of the rings- he put in football then turned Star Wars so loud we couldn t concentrate on the game. These folks should look around. Lots of empty storefronts etc in this area. Maybe try a little harder to impress your customers, connect with them, say hello and thank you. These kids are all just here getting paid to screw around. Great place for under cover boss. - pomegranate cosmo was very good.

When we arrived at the melting pot we had reservations for 2 to celebrate a late Valentine s Day . To be honest we were not comfortable where they sat us and asked the manager Chelsea if we could move! And even tho they were fully booked she was very accommodating and made sure we were moved to a table that was much more to our liking!!! She saved our date and we enjoyed the rest of our entire night!!! Thank you Chelsea!!! Great Customer Service 10 Stars

I ve been twice since the new ownership and I noticed changes, a little pricier for lesser value. The portions shrunk and the service diminished. Very disappointing! My husband and I have been coming here for 10 years to celebrate special occasions but sadly we will be finding a new place to do so. Valentine s Day service was more expensive than previous years with lesser options. Things we got last year that we didn t this year: bouquet of roses with vase, full champagne bottle, and a complementary melting pot photo. We paid $219.87, not worth it for the value and service. Review before new ownership: Anytime I have been to The Melting Pot it is always a great time with amazing service from host to waiter. Food taste delicious and the drinks are tasty! Very nice setting for a date or girls night out.

We ve been coming here for 6+ years to celebrate special occasions. We usually have 4-8 people going. I suggest no more than parties of 2-4 people so you can get 1 cooktop per 2 people. When you do 6-8 people, you still only get 2 cooktops. Unfortunately, the quality has down. We received dirty silverware on 4 out of 6 sets. We got new silverware and 2 of the new sets were still dirty (chunks of old food on and in between the cracks). Again, the got us new silverware but 1 of the sets was still dirty. One of the boys used the dirty set and just said oh well. Then there was small things like wrong drink orders, extremely slow service, no explanations on the food for some of the first timers, and we were not able to asked about the new adds ons they had available. It seemed like they were understaffed because we did not really have a main server. We had 6-7 people serving our table. In the past we usually had one dedicated server and then maybe a few others would stop by to drop food or give refills. Overall it was comparable to an Applebees or chilis but with a much higher price tag.

Disappointing. My wife and I have been going to Melting Pot and loving it for the last 20 years for our anniversary and other occasions. However it has always been in Austin until we moved up to DFW 2 years ago and now our only option is the Arlington location. Maybe weve been spoiled but compared to the Austin location this is a let down. In Austin we always had a very engaged, professional and friendly wait staff and a manager would always come by to say hi and would also always bring us small complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Unfortunately our most recent visits to the Arlington location were very different, the waitresses were ok but rather unengaged, no visit from a manager, no happy anniversary or complimentary champagne, nothing just boring get the job done attitude. Also as we arrived for this most recent visit, as the hostess walked us back to our table we passed the bar where the bartender was sitting there playing video games on his laptop, didnt think much of it at the time but when I ordered a drink for dinner it was unrecognizable from what I ordered and undrinkable, it was a glass of seltzer water with some lime wedges and mint leave and NO alcohol at all, it was awful. I have never returned a drink in my life until now, but the waitress did happily exchange it for a glass of wine which was appreciated. But just another example of a less than stellar staff. Whoever does the hiring and training needs to ramp it up. The atmosphere and the food at the Melting Pot is nice and unique, dont ruin it with a lackadaisical staff. Im afraid next time well chose Eddie Vs instead.

We were first-timers to this spot. When you arrive, the outside fools you into thinking its going to be small, but its a large restaurant with bar area and plenty of seating. It wasnt very crowded, and we went early around 6PM to celebrate my mothers birthday. The staff was very friendly, patient and professional. Our waitress took time to explain how our 4-course meal worked and made sure we were enjoying our experience. The amount of food was more than we could eat- lots of fresh meat, veggies, fruits and sweets! We definitely brought food home! The sangria drinks were amazing!! Definitely a great place to bring friends and family- it forces you to put the phones down and interact! Something we could use more of!

This was a rather unimpressive experience. The food was... ok. The bill of 180 for 2 people was not justified. 180 for 4 course meal, 2 glasses of wine and gratuity. A 25 dollar tip for being a glorified Lubys beverage attendant ( that took 20 minutes to bring our water) It is not justified. We were there on a Wednesday and there wasnt another table or couple. I will not recommend or return.

Went for my boyfriends birthday. Reservation for two. FOOD: We would go back for the cheese fondue (tasted good and was filling.... We had the Quattro Formaggio with the Charcuterie Board add-on). For meat, we will stick to Brazilian Steakhouse (price for quantity and taste) or Japanese or Korean BBQ. For entrées, we ordered Land & Sea and Steak Lovers. The Brown Sugar Bourbon and Garlic Pepper steaks tasted the same, sharing a strong pepper base with little else. The salmon and chicken tasted like salmon and chicken. For our entrées, we chose the cast-iron grill method of cooking our meat. We are used to the grill system of Japanese BBQ Gyu-Kaku or any Korean BBQ restaurant, which cooks meat faster because the grill plate is directly over the flame, and probably has a more robust system, whereas at The Melting Pot, this is not the case (not a criticism, just a fact that if youre used to cooking meat at Japanese or Korean BBQ places, expect longer cook times). There are other cooking methods: broth and oil. SERVICE: I assume the waiters are instructed to wait a certain amount of time between courses, but the wait time was far too long. There are four courses. Im the worlds slowest eater. Me and my boyfriend cleaned each of our courses and then waited 25-30 mins before being given the next course. We almost paid and left after our entrée after talking for 20 mins after eating. Our waiter only showed up to drop off food, so if we wanted to pay, we would have to go up front. ATMOSPHERE: It was clean. The table was big enough for all the food, drinks, and phones. While walking around the restaurant looking for our waiter, my boyfriend saw some more romantic spots in the restaurant. None of the seatings were dreary, though.

We have been to different melting pot locations multiple times. We go every year for our anniversary. We went to the Arlington location last year, and although not our favorite, there was nothing particularly wrong so we decided to celebrate there this year as well. We went on 12/27, which is typically a slower night but they were packed. The first thing we noticed was most of the staff, managers included, were wearing very casual, loose, sort of thrift store look clothing. Doesnt set the tone of the atmosphere for the style or price of dinner. We were also sat a little late, although that wasnt a huge deal. We waited for ten minutes after being sat for our server to see us, which was slightly annoying. However, this gave us time to look over the drink menu. This is when the problems started. Our drinks didnt arrive for 35 minutes. And they definitely did not taste correct. I always order the Bees Tea, and it was definitely missing ingredients. Our cheese came, along with our charcuterie board. The mustard and brown bread was missing-not a huge deal-but it wasnt told to us beforehand. I was also handed a wet plate fresh from the dish pit. So I asked for a new one. Which arrived at the very end of our cheese course. Why she didnt notice she had handed me a wet plate in the first place I have no idea. We ordered a second cheese, which was a bit of a wait, and it arrived already prepared. The whole experience at melting pot is they prepare the food/broth etc. Right in front of you. So I have no idea who made this cheese or how long it sat, and I didnt receive the experience I pay a good amount of money for. Additionally, they never brought out the second plate of dippers for our second cheese. If were being charged a la carte pricing for a second cheese, which includes dippers, then we are supposed to get a second round of dippers. Also, the cheeses were definitely smaller than usual. Then our server disappeared. Someone else cleared our table and brought out the broth for our entree. In the meantime, my fiance ordered a glass of wine which never came. We had our dinner, which was fine, except our server forgot our slotted spoon until halfway through. Then they brought out dessert. A different person made our dessert than our server. I though melting pot got rid of pineapple for chocolate fondue dippers, since we havent seen them the last few times we went. Well, here they were. PLEASE get rid of pineapple. Nobody likes that in chocolate. Our server eventually came back (first time since making the entree broth) and asked if we needed more dippers for chocolate, to which I requested pound cake. Dipping ice cold pound cake in warm chocolate is not exactly a fine dining experience, or even a pleasant one at that. At the end, when we went to pay, our server mentioned how busy it was tonight. I agreed, saying I was surprised as its usually not on this particular day. To which she commented: Imagine how it was for us. Really? Because youre still getting paid to do a poor job meanwhile imagine how it is for me paying $150 for all of these things to go wrong. Such an unprofessional tip baiting comment. We were appalled. The biggest slap in the face was the complimentary chocolate card we received, valid on next visit at that location. Every table received this due to the wait that night. EXCEPT the card ONLY gives you free chocolate fondue IF you buy a cheese, two salads, and two entrees. For the record, 4 course for two is $95. Buying all of those things a la carte just to get free chocolate is $110. What a scam! Not a great message: We will fix our mistake if you spend more money with us. Worst melting pot experience ever. Never had these problems before. I highly advise against this location.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. The restaurant atmosphere is secluded in a good way; the tables are set in booth fashion with full partitions to give the patrons some privacy, which is nice. Part of the experience is to cook your own food in a broth of your choice; grilling and deep frying are also available options. (My son who has also eaten there recommends frying). The server will explain the process to you if its your first time. I rate them 4 stars on service because they sort of forgot about our mixed drink. It may have been an isolated issue as other patrons were getting served promptly. Nevertheless, this is my review of my experience; I hope your experience is better in this regard. As far as the food itself, let me put it this way: You cant get full on fancy. The portions were very small when you consider a $200 ticket for 2 people. I could have gone to any churrascaria and gorge myself in meat and salad for the same price. The food was very tasty, and the beef cuts were very tender - all 4 of them, about 2 cubes of meat. You better chew slowly and savor it. The lobster tails were also small, the sort of tails you can find at your local Krogers for about $10 ea. Chicken breast cubes worth about $2 in weight - you get the point. Close your eyes and enjoy the experience, and eat very slowly. If youre still hungry after youre done dining, you better plan a quick stop at a drive-thru of your choice.

When you walk into the restaurant, the glass wine room is an impressive sight! Reservations are not a requirement but recommended. Love we got to our perfect table for 2, Its was very dimly lit so it was a little difficult to read the menus without turning on our flashlight. Overall, the food was pretty good! We ordered the big night out starting with quattro formaggio cheese fondue, a house and California salad, and the bananas foster dessert. My preference would be to cater fruits and veggies to the cheese fondue instead of using a base mixture, but we enjoyed our first course. The salads were very delicious! If you want to make changes just let your server know because they are very attentive to your needs. You will have to work to cook your dinner because, after all, it is fondue! We selected to grill our meat course. Matthew, who was an outstanding host for my birthday dinner, gave us the proper cook times for our meats and seafood. He explained the offerings of 0 different sauces and his experience with tasting them, so we knew which ones were good with each meat. He was exceptionally thoughtful to my needs and explained everything thoroughly since it was our first time there. Im not a dessert person, but when I say everyone has to try the bananas foster... You have to try it! The selection of sweets and fruit is perfect for the dip. I love those grahams cracker marshmallows, the pound cake is everything nice and so soft but not too soft where it falls apart, and the strawberries and bananas were on point! Our overall experience was wonderful! This place should be jam packed! Its nice to not only get great service from Matthew, but the manager stopped by several times and thanked us for coming in and made us feel very welcome. *One note, the floor has a residue so its sticky when you walk through the bar area. They do have to get that cleaner, but it was a nice environment other than that. Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options! Dietary restrictions: If you are gluten free you can enjoy this place. Just make your server aware of your allergy! They are exceptionally attentive to cross contamination from my experience.
