I love that Portillos has its original recipes that Im use to from back home and the fact that there are more locations around the world makes it more accessible to me. This was my 1st time at this locations but not the last. UPDATE: 10-03-2024 Ok maybe I got a little to excited about this location being closer to me, but its not good. Ive been back more than a few times to only be disappointed every time and today was the last straw, and so I will not be returning. It can not be that hard to get an order right. Its like they dont care because they sure arent listening over there.

Very expensive for below average food. Salad was what you could get from Wendys. Burgers and fries were not any better than McDonalds. Service is self-aware service, but you cant see the TV with numbers or understand the person over the speaker to know when your order is done.

Sad to say but food did not compare to Chicago:( Was looking forward to some good food. But Hot dog and Italian sandwich were very bland and tasted nothing like I remember from home. Definitely wasnt a beef hotdog. And no pepsi or rc products which is what you get in Chicago. We spent way too much for mediocre. Wont be making another 40 minute trip for this.

I ordered the cheeseburger and fries with a medium drink. The burger was mediocre at best. The fries were undercooked and doughy. The cashier had the personality of a wet stick. The interior is nice but reminds me of Six Flags. Too much noise from the serving line with them yelling out customer numbers. Just get an intercom! Way overpriced for the quality and quantity you receive. With the prices, the appearance and the noise level it really does feel like a theme park restaurant. I might go back to try something different but its going to be a while. Maybe the one in Mansfield when it opens. Now, dont bother with the auto reply since it is generic and thoughtless. If you really care about fixing your issues try actually reading the reviews as they spell out all your shortcomings to the letter. This auto reply crap is just corporate mind games to make others think you really care about customer service. Save it. Parking: The parking lot is ok once you actually get in but its not the easiest place to access.

This is a very friendly, quiet place to have a meal. On a Friday afternoon of all times. Let me make perfectly clear, I used to NOT be a relish guy, I always hated it on hot dogs but that all changed when I set foot through the door of this place! I tried the one in Chicago so thought this one would be tbe same but NOT! I ordered the chicken pecan salad, chicago style hotdog and polish hotdog.... well the salad - chicken was dry, fries taste like they were re-fried, the chicago style hotdogs- were good ...the polish was not the same taste from chicago! Condiments were not available unless you go ask behind the counter. This was our 1st and more than likely the last time... the Jollibee next door looked more appealing.

First experience ever, got pick up. They taped everything shut so didnt check the bag, guess thats our fault... But missing an entire meal, kids meal missing the chicken, totally wrong hotdog given, random piece of cake we didnt order, and they just wrap chili cheese dogs in paper... So huge mess. Was an 80$ order... Never again. Editing to add, after driving back and forth to get the right food, weve tried to eat it. Its gross. My husband can eat anything and he couldnt finish it. Its like soggy and like there is no seasoning. I want a refund cause this was the worst, not worth 80 bucks. Sonic or even Walmart boiled hotdogs would be better. Not anything like Chicago...

I ordered online and DoorDash was to deliver. Normally takes 20 mins once picked up because I have ordered multiple times. 1 hour after pick up DoorDash was still 20 mins away. I called DoorDash to ask where the driver was. He said 20 mins away. At this point the food has been setting in someone s car for 1 hr 20 mins. I told DoorDash to cancel and refund as at this point the food was garbage. They cancelled and informed me I would have to get a refund direct from Portillos. Portillos never issued my refund so I called and an employee told me to Dispute it with my bank then Portillos denied the credit. Very disappointed! Especially when I immediately drove to the restaurant and ordered again! Do not order delivery if you don t want to deal with the hassle of 3rd party delivery like DoorDash. Thats $40 I will never get back when both parties promised it!

Deep sigh clean premises, beautiful location, and I m willing to give it another shot, and try something on the menu. I got the charbroiled double cheeseburger, and it was a no for me. It literally tasted burnt and filled with carcinogens. I was so incredibly disappointed. The fries were also cold, double whammy. Finally got to try this place only to be meet with disappointment. First it s pricey. Fries were semi-warm and soggy. Tried the beef sandwich which is good i itself but is lackluster: even with toppings. By the time you get to the last bite, it s a soggy mess. The hot dog? Mediocre. Sonic makes bigger tastier hotdogs for half the price! One soda machine was completely broken with stickies on it. And it s only a months-old restaurant! Then I ate my fries dry because one ketchup dispenser was broken and another one ran out. The store manager? Well let s just say he walked around waiting for his shift to end even though the place was not busy. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND ANGUISH AND GO ELSEWHERE! 2 stars because the place is nice but that s it. If you re gonna bring your business to Texas don t bring junk. For what this food cost I expected so much more. The food is definitely over hyped here in my opinion. The burger was decent but the Italian beef was flavorless. My bread was soggy on one side and hard on the other side. I struggled trying to just cut through it. Paying to add peppers to a sandwich just to give it some flavor was a no for me. This is a cool spot. Food is average. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Theres a drive-thru for on the go. The entrance is unique for a restaurant. The interior is open and bright. Ordering is easy and there are two cashiers. On your walk to pickup your food and get your drink, you get to see the food lines and workers making orders. The combos options are crispy crinkle fries or onion rings. They offered cheese sauce. I declined, so Im not sure if this is an extra charge or their thing instead of katchup. The burgers are thick, the chicken(broiled) sandwhich chicken piece was small, the whitefish was your traditional square fried fish. Burgers come with a leafy green whole leaf of lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Instead of sweet or white onions, they use red. Good family place.

Every time we ve been to Portillo s, the tables have been dirty. There s no one in there cleaning them and when you ask, the people behind the counter just go OK the food was marginal. The service was terrible and the tables were dirty. The men s bathroom was disgusting and it doesn t look like you have anyone who gives a rats you know what about cleaning and keeping the place nice it s very sad for a business. It s been open to short of time as it has been there on South Cooper in Arlington, Texas That the police can be a complete disaster but I believe it will be the last time that we go there we ve been three or four times and have the same experience every time. I really dont know what the hype is about this place. The food is no different than any of the fast food chains. In fact I think its more like a Chicago Sonic. Vegetarian options: They have a plant based garden dog and salads Dietary restrictions: Its burgers and hotdogs and fries and chicken. Plus desserts like chocolate cake and such plus milkshakes. Parking: It can be somewhat hard to find parking when its busy. There are a few handicapped spaces. Kid-friendliness: I guess they are kid friendly. There is nowhere for kids to play. And I havent seen a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicapped parking. I have yet to see anybody with an electric wheelchair inside, but I know it will be difficult to get in using the revolving door. But Im guessing you might be able to get it through the regular door next to it.

Very unprofessional for your employer to handle food with tissue in his nose. Everytime I give this Portillos another chance, I get disappointed. Either forget fries, cheese and this.

I have gone here once and will not go again. The food was okay, but it was overpriced for the size and quality. It is all à la cart, so expect to spend more. The burgers are kid size for the adult price you pay and less flavorful than a basic burger unseasoned burger one could make at home. The fries were not any better. The most flavorful item I had was the fountain soda. If youre looking for nourishment without satisfying flavor, this is your place to eat. Im sure people that go to this restaurant only come for the eclectic nostalgic decor or on a doctors order to eat bland food.

What s the point of asking if it s for here or to-go when they wrap everything up and put it in a bag so that it s good and sweaty before you reach the table? Why not just use good old-fashioned paper boats? Nothing worse than a soggy bun. I m done.

The food was good, the price was ok, but the service was terrible. I ordered ahead of time and arrived a few minutes early. When I went inside I sat down and waited till the time its supposed to be ready but wasnt. It took an additional 15 minutes till I got my food. When I checked the food I found the fries were cold. I had to take them back and the person behind the counter kind of just shrugged it off and got somebody else to help me. As I said the food it ok but the service is atrocious.

Love the food! I highly recommend the portillos hot dog. I also love the visual order number display and the callouts. The only downside was you cant really hear the number callout and my number wasnt showing on the screen.

Additional training needed for the order takers. The young lady that took our order double charged us as we ordered both meals that included fries & drinks. We were charged extra for fries & drinks as an add on. I didnt notice this until we got home & I looked at the receipt. She was very unsure during the order process & seemed shy, scared & uncomfortable. The dining area is large & have outside seating. Other employees were helpful & courteous.
