Thoroughly enjoyed their strawberry pancakes today. Opted to change it up from my usual favorite of blueberry. It was totally worth it. Our waitress, Fatima, was superb and super accommodating and honored my request for fruit in place of breakfast meats. But wait! There s more. Their coffee, which I drank black, was outstanding! I learned it is Segafredo Zanetti thanks to her help and will be back for more coffee. If you enjoy good coffee, this one is great!

Found hair in my food! The older Maria is extremely rude. I used to love this place and we ve ordered a lot of food here but will no longer be coming to this location. Further explained below: I ve been here numerous times. I usually get the egg white veggie omelette. It comes with toast and has browns. Their toast has always been stale and the hash browns are always extremely crisp. I finally told them after going about 3 times thinking it would change on its on. They corrected it for me but I had to ask them each time to correct it. Today I decide to get something different. Their customer service on the phone is usually ok but the older Maria had an attitude from start to finish especially with me asking about my toast and hash browns. She kept cutting me off and hung up before I could even say Thank you. I get there and was greeted by the younger Maria (their in person customer service is always pleasant). I got my food and went back to my office. There was hair in my food and the toast was stiff. I called the place 8 times until someone finally answered (it never took that many times to answer). The older Maria answered. I let her know and she huffed like it was my fault and rudely told me to come get the new order. I go get it and apologize (even though it was not my fault). They made my toast over and gave me white bread. Not toast but white bread. I showed the younger Maria what I meant by stale toast and she said she can add butter to my new toast. I told them thank you and left. Me nor my office staff will be eating here anymore. The place has gone down hill. The service is horrible. When I came to get my food the 2nd time Maria went to the cooks and they both were looking at me with irritated looks. I threw my food away.

I was welcomed with a smile, seated when I walked in and asked what I wanted to drink. The server provided recommendations when I shared it was my first time dining in the cafe. I recommend the two-by-two. I will dine there again.

Everything was WOW! My husband and I came and the first thing we noticed is how joyful the whole staff was. We got the hippie hash and crepes and both said how good it was multiple times during our meal. We can t wait to bring friends here, we were very impressed!!

So I ordered a country skillet with a biscuit on the side and also a strawberry waffle. When I received my plate for the skillet, there was a hair waiting for me. So I had them remake me another. My fiancé ordered an omelet with hash browns on the side and he had a hair in his hash browns. So they brought another. The best part was the waffle but everything else was just ok. The eggs definitely were a little runny. They definitely need some new cooks.

Came in from out of town. Asked for a table for 6 and got a table immediately. Coffee was brought out in a hurry and food was ordered and came out fast. The food was subpar and the atmosphere was also due to sooooo many workers running around. The restaurant was pretty empty. More workers than customers. Every time I opened something someone was removing tiny empty sugar packets from my table. Pretty uncomfortable. The eggs I sent back because I ordered soft but arrived brown and half done did not make it back to my table any better. The sausage was so greasy not on to the touch but in my mouth. The grill may need to cleaned before cooking. The pancakes were heavy and doddy like older batter or they had been sitting for sometimes when it didn t seem that way. My daughter had French toast and where she is definitely a fan she didn t even finish it. It was just as much food on the table when we left as there was when we got our food. The highlight apparently by my daughter s words was the coffee. I will not return. They definitely need new cooks or training in it. The server Latrice told me I m from Chicago, the food is good to me. I was like wow. I seen the manager/owner and he saw our table but said nothing. I think that was the pits. Anyway go at your own risk . All Lonestar Cafes are not created equal. Nope nope nope!!! Edit Just to add we were leaving and there was limited customers but not a one worker gave salutations after we set there and heard them do to customers who left ahead of us. Shameful.

This place is... Meh!! I ordered the Chicken fried chicken and got chicken fried steak, of course, I sent it back... I then got the Chicken fried chicken and the chicken breast size was a joke, Chik Fil A chicken breasts are much bigger, the mashed potatoes were powder made and not fresh. I then ordered the Reuben Sandwich and was not sure if I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with meat with thousand island on the side, the poblano soup tasted over spiced... I could keep going but the rest is extra.

Manager was rude and would not allow a smaller portion ordered due to dietary restrictions- recommended to the eat the left overs later - he was rude and sarcastic. He did offer a one time exception to the rule but it was the last word comment that was uncalled for and sarcastic. Your waitress was kind and attentive- had it not been for the last remark and attitude we would have stayed and shared a meal. Maybe offering a senior meal choice would be an option. Maybe he had a bad day. I make this request from many of your competitors with no issues whether approved or declined. It wasn t the answer I didn t like it was the sarcasm.

The food was just, meh. So I won t even talk about it. My issue was the staff. When they weren t staring at their phones, they were giving my husband and I really judgmental looks. When we were done eating, they could not have gotten us out of there faster. We had barely gotten up from the table before they were already cleaning it. When my husband picked up his fork to start eating, he stopped and I asked what was wrong, and the fork that the table had been set with was dirty. He got up to grab a different fork off the table next to us, and received dirty looks for it. Not a great experience and will not return. Disappointing for sure.

The food was okay, but the portion size was small for the price. The coffee was good, However, they need to post on the door before you walk in that there is a 20% gratuity included on your bill for large parties over _____. We had six people. I had no clue that a 20% tip would be included in the check without the percentage amount disclosed on the check. There is even a line for an additional tip. I dont mind tipping, but it should always be up to the patron the amount they wish to tip. It all balances out in the end, especially if you are doing your job as a waiter or waitress. I wont be coming back, and I will make sure not to recommend this place to anyone because it does ruin your meal to be forced to pay 20%. I can understand maybe 18%, but the percentage amount should be displayed on the check and a sign posted outside what constitutes a large party and disclose the percentage patrons are going to be charged. I believe 20% is outrageous for six people when the restaurant is dead.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars for service I would! Everyone there was so nice and went above and beyond to make our experience pleasurable. We were a group of 6 with two small kids. The staff made sure our coffee never went below half way without us asking for refills and even went out of their way to make little paper boats for the kids to play with. The Manager and the owner as he called himself (Hard to believe he was a manager at all tacky attitude).They asked what I wanted to drink and it was water...the cup I was served had lipstick all over the rim. Food average, service slow and had to chase down our waitress more than once as she was busy having conversations with other staff. Waitress was Latrice L. Biscuit prices are ridiculous. I was charged $2.50 each for four biscuits and they were not big. This constituted $10.00 of a $65 bill for four people. Then they had the audacity to charge a surcharge fee of $1.90. Needed a hearty breakfast after working 15 hours all night. Tried the Pork on my Fork platter with 3 scrambled eggs, Ham, Sausage, Bacon, Hash Browns, and a Biscuit w/ sausage gravy. Everything was perfectly prepared, and there was a lot of it! The biscuit was hot out of the oven w/ top notch gravy! Even the Coffee was great, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Wont be back. I visited the restaurant on Sunday morning 9-3-23. As I was seated I was told I couldnt bring in a drink and that there was a sign on the door. I had a 16 oz plastic bottle Diet Dr Pepper in my hand. I said OK I understand thinking maybe there are options here where I can still have my preferred morning drink. I ordered a soft drink along with my breakfast and asked for a cup of ice. I was told by the waitress she would get in trouble for bringing a cup of ice. I said OK and stared at my drink the entire time I ate. As I walked out carrying my now hot Dr Pepper I did indeed see a sign on the door that said no food or drink. I can understand what may have drove this rule, but if Im going to purchase a drink your not going to lose a sale. And if I pour it into a cup of ice no one knows what is in there anyway. Im 55 years old and have traveled most of the United States and not ran into this before one single time. Sort of looks bad on your business and the city in my opinion. Business must be pretty good to be so adamant about such a trivial rule. Good luck when business is not good thats when youll learn more about pleasing customers while making a profit.

The server was friendly and the chicken fried steak was good, but my eggs were very undercooked and there was a huge blob of goo in the gravy, and the coffee creamer had chunks in it, and no one came to check on us until we were finished eating. The server offered me new eggs but I declined because I was grossed out by the raw eggs Id started to eat, so the manager took $2 off the check. Even the server was surprised that thats all the manager did. Not a good experience overall.

Apparently this restaurant in arlington is totally different the the 1 in Grapevine they dont have the options nor the same waffles which is disappointing along with the fact that they dont season their food my order was so bland and toast was burnt I mean if I didnt stay so far I would have requested my money back

If I could give zero, I would. Our order was missing several items. We ordered without substitutions. When we called the restaurant about the missing items, they said our orders dont come with those items, but the items are clearly listed ON THE MENU! Also, the two people we spoke with (one who stated she was the owner) were completely unapologetic and rude. They absolutely did not care that our food was wrong, they only wanted to argue. The food was decent, but not great and not worth the price. I will never spend another penny at that place! Horrible customer service. Reading past negative reviews and the responses from the owner clearly shows the attitude we encountered. I am quite certain I will receive a similar response.

Great customer services. We were greeted upon walking in. Seated quickly and the staff was very kind. The food was delicious! I ordered the waffles with fruit and added chicken on top which wasn t on the menu I requested it and it was so good! Our waitress was great and the atmosphere was nice. Not too bright of lighting and comfortable seating. Love this spot it s one of our favs!

This place was amazing!!! Cracker Barrel had an hour wait time for a table. I said nope. Hopped on Google & came across this restaurant. Im glad I did because I was not disappointed at all. It was very busy, but there was room at the bar, so I didnt have to wait. The menu has so much to choose from so come hungry I was craving biscuits and gravy and that is what I got as you can see. Plus I had a side of sausage and a chocolate chip pancake The wait staff was super nice and friendly I didnt catch her name, but the woman with short redish hair and colorful nails deserves a raise. Her customer service skills are excellent I will be back and bring my friends with me! Thank you Lone Star Cafe!! You rock!

Very surprised, the chicken fried steak and eggs were really good, the reason for only 4 stars and not 5 is because they charge you a service fee assuming for using a card. As a restaurant, that is one thing that I do not agree that should be charged to the customers, you choose to accept plastic, then you should accept responsibility for that expense, some businesses are exceptions to this but I do not believe that restaurants should be one of them. Again the food and the waitress was really good, hats off to the kitchen and the staff.

Had a nice lunch (breakfast) here with the hub and son. Almost everything we ordered was delicious. The gravy was GREAT! The fruits were fresh. The hubs loved the corn beef meal he had. And, the son ate pretty much all of his chicken and waffle. He also ordered an omelet and hashbrowns. There was only 2 things that I didnt enjoy out of this whole meal. My scrambled eggs were overcooked, and the egg mixture on French toast was the same texture as the overcooked eggs, mild rubberiness. Bummer. I think if the scrambled eggs wouldve been slightly undercooked, this meal wouldve been perfect. But, I do have to say, the hospitality was spot-on! Loved the atmosphere.

This a lovely restaurant with friendly and courteous staff. The service was great however my food wasnt good. The chicken breast was extremely thin and overcooked so when it arrived to our table it was very little meat left to eat. I requested my be prepared scrambled soft with cheese. I received eggs scrambled hard with no cheese. So, truly the only enjoyable part of my meal were the hashbrowns. As for my lady she enjoyed her meal very much. This was me explain for the low score of the food.

On a rare day off, we had a recommendation to come and check this place out. The service was quick and friendly and the place exudes a family/homey feel.
