Everything about our meal and experience at Hoffbrau was perfect! Our server was very personable, attentive and professional. The food was cooked to perfection and was delicious. Although we were all stuffed from eating every bite of our dinner, we split a serving of the best homemade cherry cobbler. Highly recommend a meal at Hoffbrau! Wish this restaurant was in our hometown!!

So we are at The big Texan steak place on the way to Colorado, so on the way back we wanted to eat somewhere different. We saw this was family owned. I think if you cant even get the salad right which you are presenting the first thing to your guest, its all down hill from there. Then they served us dinner rolls, not good at all. I ordered ribs, fell off the bone but so dry tasted old. Good thing he brought me a cup of bbq sauce. Fries were burnt and hard. Hubby got the shrimp and grits. He said it was OK I tasted the shrimp did not taste fresh. This is only a friendly suggestion. You should go eat at The big Texan. They are serving hundreds of people. The salad was good. The rolls were to die for. And dinner for 2 was great.

The fried okra and fried green tomatoes were a delicious appetizer! We were all pleased with our entrees as well. The Ribeye was perfectly seasoned and cooked at a perfect medium rare, as requested. The Shrimp and Grits were creamy and had good flavor and the hot honey Chicken Sandwich was delicious with a great pairing of the haus fries. The Fire Water Rita s were phenomenal!!! The waitress was friendly, we will definitely be returning again!

Perfect location to our hotel after hours on the road heading to Colorado. And great reviews. We were seated immediately and drinks and orders were taken right away. Hubby and I shared a 13 ounce Sals ribeye with side salad for me, a bowl of chili for hubby and a side of Mac and cheese and corn on cob. The flavors were spot on. Our steak was perfectly medium. The corn had a perfect char and was sooo sweet and buttery. The Mac and cheese was soo creamy and maybe one of the best Mac and cheeses Ive tried. We would definitely stop in again on our next trip to see Grandpa Rabbit.

I had the pleasure of dining here this evening. I read several reviews from around the area and decided on the Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House. Ive been to the Hoffbrau Haus in Munic, Germany, even one in Las Vegas, this is no German restaurant. This is the second best steak I have had, and Ive had many in my 60 years and 54 Countries and 48 States! (I need Rhode Island and Vermont. ) The best steak Ive had was in Sitka, Alaska at a Managers special for $75! I would do that again! Here in Amarillo, I will visit the Hoffbrau whenever I am back in town! The fried mushrooms were fantastic! The salad was great, fresh and excellent dressing. I had Chucks Sirloin and a loaded baked potato and it was fabulous! Super tender, cooked perfectly, well seasoned! I highly recommend eating here! My waitress was Kat, love her hair and eyes! She was very sweet, attentive and a very good waitress. I would do this exact same thing tomorrow if I was going to be in town!

Although the food was good and the service standard, there is something I need to question, and that is the guy who served me with nails longer than those of a woman, many rings, and bracelets. I want to let the manager know that employees, especially servers, should keep their nails short, clean and well-groomed, avoid rings, bracelets, or watches, and keep their hair tied back.

The food was decent, the ribs were fatty, the filet minion melted in your mouth (lacked flavor), forget the smoked sirloin (couldn t eat it.) The spinach was great and the salad was fresh. The waitress (Tiffany) was busy and had a lot of tables to take care of. The smell of Pinesol was proficiently applied to the floor by hostess as we were eating. Fantastic Food and Stupendous service. The smoked sirloin and the bone in ribeye were so perfect, the fat melted in your mouth. Im something of a broccoli cheddar connoisseur and theirs might be the best. They add fresh jalapeño and that touch of spice was so unique! Lily was amazing and always kept our drinks full. Wonderful experience. Wished I lived closer so I could come again.

Wanted to try somewhere new to us as we were traveling. The food was delicious and well-cooked! The server (Forrest?) was fast and attentive without being overbearing. We traveled to Las Vegas for a week and this is our last stop before home. We had the best waitress of the whole trip here in amarillo! Highly recommend for their awesome food, great atmosphere, and best waitstaff in 3 states!!! Sure wish I could remember her name. We stop in Amarillo twice each year on our way out west and back. We have encountered many family owned restaurants over the years. This one is special. From the second you pull into the parking lot,.you know youre someplace special. The corn bin and cleanliness of the exterior gave it away. Then, when you walk in the entrance, look up! What a great idea to bring the homey feeling of screen doors! Also, the Lions emblem is proudly displayed as this is the monthly meeting establishment of the local Lions Club. I thought to myself, this is a special place. My wife was thinking the same exact thing since shes a Lion as well! Then we met our server, Madison. What a sheer and utter delight. The way she treated us is what every restaurant owner dreams of having on their staff. Now on to the food. I had the smoked peppered sirloin. Medium rare and delicious! My wife had the catfish (highly recommended by Madison our server) and that did not disappoint! She also raved about her soup, the steak soup. She said shed take a 10 gallon cowboy hat of it! Lol If you havent figured it out by now, we highly recommend this place! Kudos to the family, well be back in December!! Thank you

We have been here 3 or 4 times, because we believe in giving every place the benefit of the doubt. However, despite several raving recommendations, each of our visits has not really been worth what we paid. Service was great on 3 of the 4 visits, which is why we kept trying, but the food just doesnt compare to someplace like Saltgrass, where the prices are similar. I cant say we wont try again, but it is unlikely in the near future. Perhaps we just needed to order different entrees, but Im not sure what those would be. We did love the atmosphere, and as I said, the service was great, but we generally go out to mostly enjoy the food of choice on a given day/night.

Coming from out of state and I have never written a review before. I told my wife, if Im in Amarillo Texas I had to have steak. Well we never heard of Hoffbrau and the hotel recommended it, best decision made all day. Came in the atmosphere was perfect. My wife and I were greeted by our waitress Lilian and she seemed to be in high spirits. I ordered the 16 oz bone in ribeye and she had the half rack of ribs... The steak was perfect and so were the ribs. Both my wife and I both agreed this is the best steak house we have been to. And the boss should give Lilian a raise, she was excellent.

The waitress acted as if she didnt even want to be there as if we were wasting her time. Was not excited about vegetable choices. Chicken fried steak was tough. Banana pudding is NOT made with vanilla wafers as stated on menu, they crumble some on top when you order it. Mashed potatoes and gravy was the best part of the meal. Will not go back. I do not recommend especially at there prices and quality of service and food.

We used to eat here all the time. It s close to home and the food was great. The restaurant has been through a couple changes in the last 10 years or so. The menu has changed. It s only average at best.

We eat here every time we pass through Amarillo. The steaks are always tender and delicious. Add a house salad and a Shiner and you have yourself a fine meal. Service is normally prompt, personable and professional. It was off this time. Our server had to be reminded to bring the salads and the rolls. Hopefully, our experience will be better the next time.

I was here for dinner in a big group. Overall it was a very average experience. We had 1 waiter for 26 people so the service was extremely slow. The group menu was also very confusing. The food overall was extremely average and would have been cheaper if we bought it individually instead of as a group.
