Executive summary: phenomenal restaurant. Upscale setting, exquisite food and very reasonable prices. I got the smoked prime rib. It came with a au jus that was more like a gravy/ demi-glace. It was very flavorful but not extremely fatty. The brussel sprouts were sweet, smokey, and crispy. The potatoes were excellent. My wife got the petit fillet. It was an excellent cut of meat with the same sides. We both enjoyed our meal very much.

Ate with here with some friends to try the new restaurant in Amarillo. After there was a mistake of a reservation on our end, the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to eat here even though our reservation was mistakenly made a week earlier rather than the intended day. We started off with a few appetizers (cheese curds and steak bites) and moved to the entrees. Overall the food was really good and delicious. If you have a chance to get some desert, the bananas foster is a good choice. The deserts are good for sharing if you don t want to eat one of just your own. One criticism I have is the drinks. Although the drink had a good Smokey smell, they could ve have been mixed alittle better. My first drink which was the Maple Bourbon was somewhat water down and the second was alittle strong. Other than this I believe this is a great place to come eat that is spacious and can accommodate a party of any size. Parking: Plenty of parking around the building.

Omg! Tried Cellar 55 last night! We got there early prior to the dinner reservation and enjoyed the happy hour prices and ordered an appetizer at the bar. The Steak Bites were melt-in-your-mouth good. My husband devoured the peppers. Absolutely love the ambiance of this establishment. Dinner was amazing! We had the sweat tea chicken and the Cajun tortellini pasta. We had key lime pie and crème brûlée for dessert. Best food we ve had in a long time! Our waiter, Jordan, was awesome. The owner came around and chatted with the guests. Loved that! The bread was soooooo good. This will definitely be our new date night spot! Highly recommend 10/10!

My boyfriend and I can t stop raving about Cellar 55! We had an impromptu lunch on a Friday afternoon. The front of house was courteous, our waitress (Caylee) was attentive and very sweet. The music wasn t loud and the dining rooms were clean and elegant. Our food was impeccable. The steak bites were cooked, dressed perfectly, and came out quickly. Burger was tasty and waffle fries were probably the best I ve had. The back of the house knows what they re doing. The chicken and shrimp on the Cajun pasta were cooked through, but still tender and juicy. We can t wait to go back!

We had a group of 15 people on a Saturday night, from the moment we walked in & were greeted by the hostess it was all around a perfect experience. Our server was so accommodating & on top of things the whole night. He was very knowledgeable of the menu & did a wonderful job! We tried a little of everything they have to offer & let me just say, this place is an EXPERIENCE that you need to have. Every single thing we tried was absolutely incredible props to the Chef! The wine list is immaculate & the cocktails are incredibly well thought out & made. If you are looking for the best dining experience in town look no further.

I noticed the little things. The acoustics are absolutely perfect in this restaurant. Each seating area is unique and all of them are comfortable with plenty of room. No squeezing in or moving tables. All staff were friendly and personable, service was awesome. Then you get to the food. I have no doubt I will find a favorite one day. This is our second time to visit and I have yet to take a bite that was not crazy delicious. Any restaurant that has you pre-planning what you re going to eat several days in advance is doing it right. Congratulations on the experience you have created for West Texas, Eastern New Mexico and beyond.

Restaurant is beautiful. Excellent background music playing at perfect level allowing comfortable conversation. Staff is friendly and professional. They actually want to be at work. Food is over the top. If I left a one word review it would be ridiculous. Every dish we touched was perfection. Steak and pepper appetizers were spot on, smoked pork chop was perfect and the cabbage side was a surprise for me. Definitely a hit. In spite of no room left I had to try the peanut butter pie and there just are no words. 4 hour round trip for us and very much well worth it.

My young daughter and I had a fantastic experience at Cellar 55. When a 6 year old notices the atmosphere and attention to detail in a restaurant, you know its been done right. My daughter approved of the selections on the kids menu and she was a big fan especially of the waffle fries. Our server was professional and knowledgeable but also warm and friendly to make my younger companion feel comfortable. Though its hard to compete with the wine and dink list, my favorite portion of our dining experience was the catch of the day fish tostada. Wow! The fish was fantastic and well complimented by the flavors and textures in the dish. It was beautifully presented too, but I dug in before thinking to take a photo. I look forward to bringing the whole family for a refined dinner experience. My husband is especially looking forward to trying the Tuna I spied on the menu. Kid-friendliness: They have a Childrens coloring page that includes a kids menu. Kids that are used to dining out will love this elevated restaurant.

I have been so excited to eat at Cellar 55 featuring Executive Chef Shelby Swindell. I recently found out that Shelby has been the chef at all my favorite Amarillo restaurants, so I knew this would be a great experience. The restaurant is very open with gorgeous tables and a bar area that is fancy enough for a date, but relaxing enough to have a drink with a buddy. Another draw for me was the specialization in whiskey. They have everything from a $35,000 bottle to a $30 bottle of Buffalo Trace. I didn t have a reservation, so we sat at a high top table in the bar. The bar servers, I only remember the female server s name (Sara) were fantastic. They knew the whiskey s and the menu, were fun, happy, and added to the experience. We started off with a glass of Merlot and the bacon sampler which was phenomenal. It s a Very clever app with five different pieces of bacon ranging from maple to sriracha each hanging from a wooden dowel. They provide scissors to cut pieces off as you eat. The bacon melts in your mouth and the flavors were nicely balanced. The bacon came with a port wine reduction sauce that was out of this world. Next we had the gumbo which was very flavorful with a bit of spice but not overwhelming. For entrees, my date and I both ordered the 6oz filet. Both were cooked perfectly and accompanied by roasted Brussel sprouts and creamy mashed potatoes. There are a trio of sauces you can get for your steaks - chimichuri, au poivre, and the port wine reduction. We tried all three but loved the au poivre which is a cognac and cream sauce to pour over the same steak which is pepper crusted. By then we were full but decided to sample a couple whiskeys that were recommended and not too expensive. I can only remember one - the Eagle Rare which is a dry, oaky, Kentucky Bourbon with hints of cocoa. Not as smooth as Buffalo Trace, but very good. Total bill was $125 and it was worth every penny. I m excited to go back for a lunch to try the smoked Philly Steak and for another dinner to try the tuna and grouper.

I was expecting someone flipping Copper Fire with a cheap remodel. NO This place is pure class. The moment I sat in the modern leather chair I knew this place was going to be top-notch. Our waitress, A dreonna was absolutely amazing. She cared and was so happy to be part of this restaurant launch. She is so personable! Everyone was so nice and seemed enthusiastic about being at work. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the steak bites, Sweet Tea Chicken and pasta. Everyone shared and we all had a favorite. So much flavor!! I could have just eaten the bread and butter like cream cheese spread. This wasn t dinner, this was an experience. Kudos to everyone involved for making this a reality for Amarillo. We have reservations for tomorrow night. No joke. We can t wait to share this dining experience with friends and family.

In town for business, stopped by for a late lunch. First of all, its beautiful on the inside. Fantastic selection of wines and bourbon. Everything we ate was balanced and very well thought through. The tuna tower app is delicious. The house salad is lovely, with the best blue cheese dressing Ive ever had. The new orleans pasta had the best cooked shrimp and pasta. The prime rib was wonderful as well! Shout out to a place that serves prime rib any longer, especially during afternoons service. We will be back! May have to plan a weekend trip to Amarillo just to eat here again!!!

A truly exceptional establishment! The ambiance and design gave due honor to its namesake (a wine cellar at 55 degrees) framed with soft luminescence. The staff were exceptional from the hostesses right through the the manager, who kindly paid a visit to each patron at some point to ensure their experience was meeting their expectations. The menu consisted of several well crafted items that could be mixed, matched, or added to depending on your preference- all fairly priced, excellent quality, and wonderfully flavorful. (I highly recommend their different Risottos) The beverage menu was extensive- from dozens of whiskeys/bourbons/liquors to scores of wine options well into the acclaimed AOCs of France. Highly recommended, a wonderful addition to the fine-dining scene of Amarillo!

Went there last evening. It was an excellent dining experience, one that has been badly needed in Amarillo for awhile. The ambience was relaxed and hushed- so wonderful to actually hear the people you are talking to speak in normal decibel levels. The waitstaff was well trained and attentive. The table side bananas foster was beautifully cooked and presented. The wine selection was top notch for Amarillo. Now .to the star of the show : the food. It was all so well cooked and presented. The chef did a fantastic job. No pictures, but it was all beautiful. Quality of the food was outstanding. Amarillo-let s support places like this! Go eat there-you won t be disappointed. It will be great for date night and just being with friends.

Wow! We attended the soft opening and I truly cannot wait to make this our new hangout! Everything we had was delicious and amazing. Chef Shelby is a culinary genius and the owner Chris Hazen was so friendly and made sure everything was to our liking. They have a really cool line of non-alcoholic libations I had never seen or tasted for cocktails too! The steak bites: superb, queso & chips: yummy, charcuterie: pretty and tasty, salmon: decadent, steaks: perfection, risottos: all 3 flavors delicious; the fried chicken was beautiful even though we didn t try it, we saw it walk by with waiters several times. The wine selection was incredible!!! Everything was amazing.
